[K1]How do I turn down the mouse/camera sensitivity?
Ebony Moon replied to Ebony Moon's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Adding Controls_CameraRotationSpeed = 0.08 to the swkotor.ini seems to help especially with the uncontrolled spinning of the cam. Thanks to swotor forum that mentioned that.. Also keeping the arrow of the cam in the center of the screen when moving helps a lot too. -
The W, A, D keys move too much for me, same with controller, and I can barely control movement, running into walls, or the screen swinging so much from overcompensation. I've turned down the mouse sensitivity all the way down in the gameplay settings, but it's still too much. I've been doing some research and all I could find are posts on .ini settings for SWOTOR, like camera sensitivity-Controls_CameraRotationSpeed =. Is there the same for KOTOR? Looking at the swkotor ini I find Keyboard Camera Deceleration=2000.000000 Keyboard Camera Acceleration=500.000000 Keyboard Camera DPS=200.000000 Mouse Sensitivity=0 Are these the right entries to change? And what values/range should I enter? BTW, this is the same on my Win 8 machine with a steam copy, and on my win 7 with a GOG copy.

Name your favorite game that isn't Star Wars!
Ebony Moon replied to TheDarkChocolateJedi's topic in Other Games
Morrowind Fallout: New Vegas Oblivion, especially the Shivering Isles Skyrim Fallout 4 Jade Empire The first Mass Effect TSL with some qualification. Sorry, I love it as a game, and the characters, and all the cool stuff, but I hate it as a sequel to KOTOR 1 All time favorite, toss up between Morrowind and KOTOR 1 -
Zez is probably referring to the teaching that a Jedi's life is sacrifice. Kreia had already covered that perhaps Revan going to the Dark Side was a sacrifice for the greater good. I think a lot of the discussion hinges on that. Given that the production of the game was so rushed that we don't get to see what each of the Masters have to say in any real detail, so it's a guess what exactly some of them are thinking. Also, they are disturbed and may not really know what they are talking about. Notice how they hold themselves. They are afraid of the Exile; they don't want to tell the truth of the Exile's power, or the danger the Exile poses to them, lest the Exile act against them, even unknowingly. They do tell the Exile later when they want to use the Force block. As for answers, they don't have any for the Exile, the Exile has find them within. As for healing, I'm not sure. Revan did, after all, send the Exile back to disturb the Jedi, as a form of psychological warfare.

Your favorite planet from the KOTOR games?
Ebony Moon replied to Mellowtron11's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
Both planets are so serene. I could go out an meditate for days on either one. Well, when the Sith/Empire isn't tearing them up. -
Why does Visas survive?
Ebony Moon replied to Spectrometer's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
I remember that comic. It's in my comic book pile somewhere. I think Nihilus spared her because she was the last tiny thread of humanity that he had any feeling for, which why he wanted her to see. Kreia said as much, if I remember. -
Your favorite planet from the KOTOR games?
Ebony Moon replied to Mellowtron11's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
Taris- love the sky and skyline. Interesting stuff. Takes me a good evening to do all the quests there. Dantooine- in K1 It's beautiful and serene. Lothal in Rebels remind me of Dantooine. Tatooine. Because Star Wars- it is deep in lore and history as well as different and interesting people. And it's desert. Manaan- because of the interesting story line and how beautiful it is. For K2 Onderon because of the feel of the old Tales of the Jedi comics. Telos because it is fun. Above all, Korriban in K1. What a feel that place has. Exploring the tombs. The bleak majesty of the planet. I hate it in K2. The only interesting point is Kreia's lessons about the great Sith Lords of the Golden Age. Otherwise, it's depressing, abandoned. And there is the Unknown World. The ancient mystery of it. -
Why do most people dislike G0-T0?
Ebony Moon replied to Mellowtron11's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
G0-T0 is fun! Sometimes I play him- going into scavenger mode, while the rest of the party is in combat. Or just cruise around. I focus on his intelligence and dexterity, and build up his feats and skills from there, sneak, demolitions, security, computer. He's useful. -
I didn't think the movie was that horrible and terrible, but I understand where those who don't like it are coming from. This video misses a lot of points, namely that others might have valid opinions. Only fanatics cannot accept this.

(SPOILERS) Solo: A Star Wars Story Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)
Ebony Moon replied to milestails's topic in Star Wars
It is a shame. This movie doesn't deserve the boycotting, the bad publicity from Kennedy and crew. Episodes 7 and 8, yeah, But not this one. Ron Howard and Alden Ehrenreich did seem to respect the character of Han Solo and worked to do him justice, which is more than I can say about some of the character development in 7 and 8. -
(SPOILERS) Solo: A Star Wars Story Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)
Ebony Moon replied to milestails's topic in Star Wars
Just saw it today. I loved it. I think they did Han Solo justice. It's been said that Ron Howard and Alden Ehrenreich worked really hard to capture Han Solo, and I think they did a really good job of it, especially a younger more naïve Han. The so called sjw stuff didn't ruin anything, I think. Lando's so called pansexuality was nothing more than him being quite fond of L3- kind of reminded me of the rancor keeper crying when the rancor was killed by Luke. L3 was a riot, imo. She did come off as a satire, but, she's no more weird or strange than a lot of other droids who develop personality quirks from not being memory wiped. (I would think that some of the more independent minded droids would have developed their own secret caches to kick in their old memories should they be wiped.) The story was pretty good, even had an OT feeling to it, which is great. The only part I didn't care for was Darth Maul's appearance. I'm old school when it comes to Maul. I don't care for any of the retcon stuff. And, please, they didn't make him that half robot monstrosity, did they? I think I saw robotic legs on him. But, that lightsaber flourish? Yeah, that's Maul. Fits his personality. He's showing he's got some serious work ahead of him. Hint, hint, there will be sequels. -
