  1. Deldrimor Sword

    Original Review on Filefront:

"Inyri Forge is, I hope, a modder who needs no introduction. This latest mod from one of the most prolific modellers to work on KotOR is the Deldrimor Sword from Guild Wars, which, since its introduction in April, has apparently become very popular. It's been a little while since Inyri's last release, and it's nice to see another mod by her uploaded here.

The model is, quite simply, excellent, and the texturing is also very, very good. While it is tempting to say that the mod is up to Inyri's usual high standard, this is not true - this mod exceeds even that, and it would be no exaggeration to say that this is probably the best model we've had in a good while. The accuracy of the model is as near to perfect as makes no odds, and the texture looks great. In-game it looks even better than in the shots, and it fits the aesthetic of the game well, particularly where Wookiees are involved.

The description is nice and to the point, reflecting the fantasy origins of the weapon, while the stats are based upon those of the weapon in Guild Wars. If there are criticisms to be made of the mod, some may view the stats (2-20 Physical Damage bonus, +3 Constitution) as a little overpowered and the description is not very Star Wars-y. The darker areas of the texture also do not show up especially well in-game, either.

However, the stats reflect those in Guild Wars, as the description refers to the mod's origin, and the texturing is actually quite visible; overall, these are minor quibbles regarding a nevertheless very cool mod.

NB: Please leave constructive criticism, particularly if you download and use this mod, as the download-counter isn't very informative.

  2. Emerald Blade

    Original Review on Filefront:

"Inyri is back with another Guild Wars weapon! This time it is the Emerald Sword, which is both a sword and emeraldy (which must come as a shock, given the name... ) It is also, equally shockingly, based upon a weapon in Guild Wars.

As can be seen, the model is more than up to Inyri's high standard and excellently detailed, while the texturing is superb, managing to combine metallic appearance with that of crystal very effectively. It's closeness to the original design is clear and, indeed, most accurate, as always. The stats of the weapon, too, are balanced and fair, while also making it worthwhile to use. It hasn't been spawned anywhere in the game by the author, since it's a fantasy weapon, and rather inappropriate for the setting and aesthetic of the game.

That said, the large guard does make the blade seem rather short, all things considered, and the weapon looks rather silly when paired with the author's Deldrimor Sword, also from Guild Wars. That said, these quibbles are, strictly speaking, the fault of the designer and not the modeller in the first instance, and in the second because the two weapons weren't designed to go together, but a review that doesn't have a down-side wouldn't really be balanced.

NB: Please leave constructive criticism, particularly if you download and use this mod, as the download-counter isn't very informative.

  3. T-21 Light Repeating Blaster

Uploaded by permission of the author.

    Original KotORFiles review:
"One of the more common weapons in the Star Wars Universe would be the blaster. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. They also come in one-handed and two-handed forms. You will see guys like Han Solo carrying a single pistol, then there are guys like Jango Fett who use twin pistols, and then of course there are the Stormtroopers who use the big rifles.

Inyri Forge brings us another blaster model for us to play with. This one is a big repeating blaster. This means you need to have that heavy weapon feat to be able to use it. Guys like Carth Onasi and Canderous Ordo already come with those feats and your PC will have it if you start off as a soldier.

Just so you know that looks means something in this case. It's a big blaster so it's going to carry a lot of power. When you get it in your inventory it will start off with 3-20 energy damage; pretty powerful huh? Just wait until you upgrade it. When this big son of a gun is fully upgraded, you're going to have 8-40 energy damage. I'm betting HK-47 would love to carry such a weapon to wipe out the 'meatbags'. stick out tongue If you listen to the author's suggestion, she will tell you that Carth and Canderous will look sexy carrying this massive weapon. You single guys should be listening to such a suggestion if you're looking to score with the ladies.

Since the author couldn't think of a place to put the weapon in the game and to save time modding, she left it up to you to use the cheats to item place it. If you want to know how to use the cheats to get this weapon, read the readme file. Enjoy the new blaster!

Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.

Copy the contents of the ZIP archive to your computer, then run TSLPatcher.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Description:
This is the T-21 light repeating blaster, also known as the T-21 rifle in Star Wars Galaxies (no worries, I didn't base it off of that). It was a large and very powerful blaster used by Stormtroopers (for which reason I did not place it in-game, so you'll have to use cheats: giveitem t21). It is fully upgradable.

    Gun Stats:
    3-20 damage
    5 attack bonus (scope)
1d6 energy damage (improved energy cell)
    1d6 energy damage (beam splitter)
    1d6 energy damage (hair trigger)
    1 attack bonus (hair trigger)

    Bugs:

Some minor hand clipping due to the length of the weapon. Let's suspend our disbelief, though, when we realize this weapon is far to heavy to *ever* be held with one hand, so the clipping through the ground on the shorter models seems negligible. Plus it looks cool at this, the appropraite size, so I'm not about to make it less cool by making it smaller.

    Comments:
I think this gun turned out pretty well. I hope you guys all agree too! It's very big and very powerful... and looks very sexy when wielded by either Carth or Canderous. <3

  4. The Real Vibroblade by Inyri Forge

Uploaded by permission of the author.

    Original KotORFiles review:
"Yes, it's exactly as the title says. Aren't mods that make things more in-keeping with the EU lore nice to have?

This specific mod addresses the inaccuracy on BioWare's part regarding the game's vibroblades/swords. Precisely, that the so-called vibroblades were swords in their own right! They were shorter than the swords, yes, but they were far from the knife-sized blade they're made out to be in the EU.

Anyways, Inyri's latest mod remodels the game's deceptively-named vibroblades into something much smaller. Despite the decrease in size they're still just as deadly and do just as much damage; the difference is entirely cosmetic. (And it's not exactly unrealistic, either - in SW all vibroweapons have ultrasonic generators that cause them to vibrate at incredible speeds, so getting stabbed by one would in most cases be lethal regardless of the size.)

The mod is primarily for K1 (that's the game the TSLPatcher installs it for), but if you want to keep things consistent in the series it can be make to work for K2 as well by tweaking baseitems.2da. Might we be a wee bit prejudiced in our attitude towards the 2003 game of the year's sequel, Inyri? stick out tongue

Note: Please remember to give the author of the mod feedback, as the download count isn't particularly verbose. Written comments tend to be much more useful and encouraging.

    Description:
Vibroblades historically were short knives that used ultrasonic generators to cause the blade to vibrate, allowing it to be more destructive. That is... until KotOR came along. According to KotOR, there's nothing but an aesthetic difference between vibroBLADES and vibroSWORDS. A bit silly, yes? I've been meaning to correct this issue for a while, so here it is. Vibroblades are now short, knife-size, and are wielded like stun batons. These are simply model overwrites (and a small 2DA change to alter the way vibroblades behave) so the change will be applied to all existing vibroblades (as well as any other custom-content vibroblades that do not use new models).

    Bugs:
More a warning than a bug, but if you're using a mod that adds a custom model vibroblade to the game, it may look a bit silly being wielded as a stun baton.

  5. Sunglasses

Uploaded by permission of the author.

    Original KotORFiles review:
"Just a note: My 600th file review here!

So what is missing in the Star Wars Universe? Let me be more specific. What is missing when traveling in the galaxy? How about when you visit a planet that has a very bright sun or suns when visiting say Tatooine? Something to wear that helps shade those eyes from those bright suns. Hey, Tatooine is a planet you get to visit in Knights of the Old Republic and guess what? This mod I'm going to talk about is for the 2003 game of the year, Knights of the Old Republic.

Inyri Forge is back with a Sun Glasses mod for Knights of the Old Republic. She released one way back in 2005 when KotorFiles was new for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Besides looking cool, this is something that can could in handy if you think in terms that you will visit places with a bright sun shining on you at times. At least you can pretend that's an issue, right? Then there is Kashyyyk where it's always dark when you're there, so that would be a good time to take those babies off or leave them on to look cool infront of the Wookiee who thinks he's all that in Chuundar.

In this version the author shaped the glasses different than her previous release and she made five different variants of them. That's a good way to make different party members have different styles while keeping their eyes protected when searching for Star Maps.

Just in case you were all wondering in the author's readme about it possibly working in Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords; it doesn't. I tested it and it crashed my game. However if you need to see for yourselves in case you don't believe me; happy crashing!

Most of the glasses have the same stats. The first sun glasses are different than the other four. You'll have to check it out if you want to know what they are. These items can't be acquired through normal game play so you will need to use the cheat console to get them. The information you need to know is in the readme file. Enjoy looking cool!

  6. Female Mandalorians by Inyri Forge

Uploaded by permission of the author.

    Original KotORFiles review:
"Mandalorians were an interesting type of people. They liked to wear full body armor and live for battle to gain honor in the eyes of their fellow brethren. What's interesting is if you're a female player character and some Mandalorian tells you that you would have been a good one too. What's funny is that you never saw female Mandalorians in Knights of the Old Republic. Enter Inyri Forge! stick out tongue

Inyri is back to give us what the first Knights of the Old Republic (and the second, but this isn't for that game) lacked and that is female Mandalorians. Hey, even the males need some loving; plus they need sons and daughters to carry out Mandalorian traditions. Inyri took the male model and made some changes to it to give you the female version.

The most noticeable feature right away is the breasts. I'm betting that is what most everybody will notice first when seeing the screenshots whether or not they choose to admit it. stick out tongue There are some other details you can notice is the more slender body and some female shaping traits that you really have to look to notice. Some masculine traits have been left behind, but as the author has stated herself that she did that on purpose because if a female had to wear that armor all the time, they're going to be very strong and have some good sized muscles.

The only place where you will see some female Mandalorians in the game from what I can see is Dantooine if you look at the names of the UTC files the author has edited. The author even customized a sound set for them so they will sound female when attacking you.

The TSL Patcher is used to install this mod to make some very necessary compatibility changes for your game. You will need a saved game before going out on the Dantooine plains for these changes to take effect. Make sure you read the instructions in the readme file. Enjoy the mod! big grin

    Introduction:
Mandalorians -- or neo-crusaders as they're popularly known as in this particular game -- are one of the staples of Star Wars lore. Whenever you want to find a 'cool' villain, it's always a Mandalorian... unless it's a dark Jedi, but that's another story. It's rarely pointed out that most of the non-human enemies/NPCs in the game -- Mandalorians, Bith, Ithorians, Rodians -- are all male! Only a few lucky groups get females, the Tusken Raiders and Wookiees first coming to mind. But of course we all know that if Mandalorians want their legacy to go on there must be women somewhere! So someone said "hey, how about a female Mandalorian?" So I did it.

    Description:
This mod, to be very straightforward, adds female Mandalorians to the game. This is an edit of the original Mandalorian model using Taina's Replacer, so I did my best to feminize the model. It still has a few masculine traits which I did not 'soften up' purposely (even female warriors would be tough as nails... plus Mandalorian gear is heavy armor!). On the whole the model is slimmer and less masculine, although obviously still fit and ready for a fight. It also uses a customized sound set (a mix of default soundsets with a filter over the audio to make it sound like the male Mandalorian).

For kicks I also changed a few of the UTCs on Dantooine to now display the female Mandalorian instead of the male, in case you wanted to see it without using the savegame editor. I'm hoping beyond hope that none of the ones I change ever have anything to say... In any case I've also included an unused UTC (n_mandalorianf.utc) kind of as a modder's resource in case someone wants to put these in a custom are for whatever reason.

    Installation:
This mod uses the TSLPatcher for easy installation. Simply extract the contents of the compressed archive to anywhere on your hard drive, then double click "TSLPatcher.exe" to run the installation. Do not try to install by hand -- it won't work.

  7. KotOR Repulsor Shields

    Original Review on Filefront:

"My my my, this is a unique mod we have today. Inyri gets definite kudos for thinking outside the box with it.

In a time period where swords were brought back, why aren't there any shields? Pretty much every Sith or Republic trooper you runs into has a vibroblade on him, one would definitely come in handy.

Well, now there are, and you'll get to use three different kinds of them. Stat-wise they're all useful, providing 15% resistance against melee damage and a +3 to defense. There's also some various attribute and Force-related bonuses that differ depending on the shield, but overall they're all about equally powerful so you can choose which one to use over simply aesthetics if you'd like.

These items can also be found in-game on various planets, so now you won't have an excuse to cheat these onto your character while you're still on the Endar Spire. Remember to run the TSLPatcher once you've downloaded this, and enjoy!

  8. Purgatory Saber Hilt

    Original Review on Filefront:

"Today marks a special day in the modding future of our site at FileFront. It also marks a specific debut of our fellow admin, Inyri Forge. This debut is her first lightsaber hilt model and she made it for the original Knights of the Old Republic game. It's basically a test hilt to learn how to make hilts work in the KOTOR games. To top it off, it's a fine looking hilt.

This particular design is made for Sith Lords from my point of view. The author calls it the Purgatory hilt. Naturally since it is a Sith design hilt, the author made the blade color red. Since it's a Sith style hilt, the author made it available through game place by being able to get it at the Tomb of Naga Sadow. This particular tomb is where you go and complete your Sith Trials which leads to saber duels with either Yuthura Ban or Uthar Wynn, or both. Most recall when you get the Star Map, there is a Sith Lightsaber in the statue. With the author's mod, you get her new Sith style hilt there too for now a grand total of two lightsabers during that quest, one being the author's new hilt.

If you are dying to get that hilt earlier in the game, just have your cheats activated and type giveitem g_w_lghtsbr78. Enjoy the new hilt. Since this is a test lightsaber hilt to see if it can work, the mod style is simple which means it's not upgradeable, but it does have nice bonuses. It gives you all the two-handed weapon feats so your PC will be a master with using two weapons at the same time, +5 to blaster bolt deflection, 1-6 energy damage, and a chance to paralyze your opponent for three rounds of combat. Enjoy the new hilt.

  9. Final Fantasy Sword Pack

    Original Review from Filefront:

"Any Final Fantasy players around? Anybody? Bueller?... Bueller?... Bueller?... I've never played the game personally. I can almost see the Final Fantasy fanatics screaming and throwing rocks at me now in an outrage. I will mention that my two younger brothers really got into it so it's something that's been in my family, which is probably going to be the closest I've ever get to the game.

Well, the purpose of this mod by Inyri Forge is to give you all the chance to play with swords that were seen in the games. The author has made a bunch of Final Fantasy weapons in the past, but since she's the manager of JK3Files, they have been seen more there than here, which she thought was a shame.

Some of these weapons are HUGE! Drop the lightsaber and go for something that will inflict pain into Darth Malak and his band of Dark Jedi wannabes. This is one of those situations where the author just couldn't find a place to put them into the game so it will come down to using the cheat console to access them. No worries; the author provided the cheat codes in the readme file for those who haven't yet figured out that the code to spawning objects are listed on the UTI files that you install in the override folder. Enjoy the new swords!

  10. Scatter Pistol by Inyri Forge

    Original KotORFiles review:
"Don't you love blasters? Instead of shooting bullets, it's lasers. That's what you get when using a gun Star Wars style which applies in the Knights of the Old Republic era. What's great is that they don't have to be reloaded, just have enough power to shoot. stick out tongue

Inyri Forge is back with another gun model to play with. Actually, this was a request from a blaster model she made a long time ago for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. The request was to put it in the first Knights of the Old Republic game and since the author has it currently installed, it was easy to convert and test it out real quick.

This model is based off of the game Star Wars Galaxies. Two years ago, my brother got me this game for my birthday, but I was against paying money every month just to play it, so I never did and it is now collecting dust on my shelves. Anyway, Inyri Forge played it and loved this blaster model and decided to make one for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords two years ago and now it's finally available for the first Knights of the Old Republic game.

The pistol is worth nothing so spawning it and selling it won't work. It's fully upgradable and each upgrade gives you 1-6 energy damage. It also comes with a +3 enhancement bonus. If you want to get this blaster, you will need to use the cheat console. Just follow the instructions in the readme file. Enjoy the blaster! big grin

"Inyri, a modder who needs no introduction, returns with a model replicating the M-8 Assault Rifle from Mass Effect 2. This model replaces the default blaster rifle model for KotOR 1. As such, it has the same item stats as the default blaster rifle. The screenshot below shows the weapon far better than any description could.

This is, it must be said, a beautiful weapon, but also a rather tricky shape to model. Inyri's model and texture more than do the original justice; the texture exceeds even the standard that Inyri has in the past shown us, while the model is a superbly accurate rendering of the original. To be blunt, this may be the best weapon-model KotORFiles has seen since Inyri's last upload with us.

Indeed, it's hard to think of anywhere that the author might improve on this. The use of an animated texture for the three bars behind the "lower" gun-barrel might have allowed for the use of a light metallic shine over the rest of the model, which might be said to look a little flat at present, but this would be a lot of work for very little gain, and is really more of a matter of taste. In all, this is a really excellent-looking weapon. And what more could you ask for from a weapon model?

  12. M-6 Carnifex Hand Cannon Replacement

Uploaded by permission of the author.

    Original KotORFiles review:
"Inyri is back with another Mass Effect 2 weapon for KotOR, this time a blaster based on the M-6 Carnifex Hand Cannon from the game. It replaces the default blaster pistol in the game, as part of a series of mods adding Mass Effect weapon models to the KotOR games. The weapon therefore has the same stats as the default blaster pistol. The mod is therefore incompatible with other mods which replace the blaster pistol in the game. It is, however, highly compatible with custom blaster mods which do not replace existing weapon, and will also be used by some enemies in the game.

To describe this mod as "well-made" seems a bit inadequate, given the obvious high quality of the work, consistent with Inyri's high standards. The texture, too, is both accurate and detailed, showing a refreshing, worn look. In short, this model is not only an accurate rendition of a weapon from Mass Effect 2, but an excellent piece of modelling and skinning in its own right. If you're looking for a blaster pistol replacement, this is definitely one to look at.

  13. Bryar Pistol and Bryar Rifle by Inyri Forge

Uploaded by permission of the author.

    Original KotORFiles review:
"Let's go back in time to 1997 when a hit game came out for our PC called Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II. Sound familiar? Maybe the game was before your time, but there was this character named Kyle Katarn who learned the ways of the Force and became a Jedi and ended up defeating seven different Dark Jedi to help protect the Valley of the Jedi from falling into Jerecs hands. Well, during that game you can see Kyle use a specific blaster called the Bryar Pistol.

Recently Inyri Forge and I were having one of our chats on MSN and she asked for an idea of what blaster she should model for the first Knights of the Old Republic game. I suggested the Bryar Pistol because I remembered her love for the Dark Forces II game and the character Kyle Katarn played in it and I had this feeling this was a blaster she wouldnt have been able to resist making.

As Inyri went to get references to help model the blaster, she learned some interesting information about it. The Bryar Pistol was a sawed off blaster rifle by Morgan Katarn to give to his son before entering the academy. Because of this discovery, the author decided to not only make the pistol, but the rifle too; so this mod comes with two weapons.

Information about how what types of damage these blasters do and how to get your hands on them is in the readme file. The TSL Patcher does install this mod for easy installation. Enjoy the new blasters! big grin

Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.

    -Shem"

    Installation Instructions:
Copy the contents of the ZIP archive to your computer, then run TSLPatcher.exe and follow the on-screen instructions.

    Description:
Those who have played Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight should recognize this weapon. The bryar pistol, which originated from the bryar rifle, was Kyle Katarn's side arm of choice, which he used even after becoming a Jedi Knight. It featured increased accuracy with a light weight, making it both usable and popular. Both the pistol and the rifle have the same stats, which are listed below:

    Gun Stats:
    5-15 damage
    3 attack bonus
2d6 energy damage to droids (scope)
    DC 22 stun, 50% 2 rounds (scope)
2d6 electrical damage (improved energy cell)
    1d6 energy damage (beam splitter)
    2 attack bonus (beam splitter)
    2d6 sonic damage (hair trigger)

    Locations:
Both can be purchased from Kebla Yurt on Taris for 1000 credits each.

    Bugs:
Some minor hand clipping due to the bulkiness of the weapon. Mostly unnoticeable.

    Comments:
If you're either too poor to purchase them early in the game, or want two of the pistol, or whatever, you can use the following cheats to spawn the weapons in your inventory:
    giveitem bryarpistol
    giveitem bryarrifle

  14. Kane's Lightsaber by Inyri Forge

Uploaded by permission of the author.

    Original KotORFiles review:
"The most popular weapon from the Star Wars Saga even including the Expanded Universe that includes video games would be the lightsaber. It's a blade of pure energy. The blade colors are usually traditional based off of what your allegiance is. If you're a Jedi, you would traditionally carry a blue or a green blade. If you're a Sith, you traditionally carry a red blade. What usually makes a lightsaber unique is not the blade color, but the hilt in which the blade comes out of.

Inyri Forge is back with a brand new hilt to play with in the original Knights of the Old Republic game. This particular hilt belonged to a Dark Jedi named Kane. He was a student at the Korriban Sith Academy. The design of the hilt is awesome indeed and will be a great addition to those who love playing the dark side of the Force.

Remember Mika Dorin? He's that Rodian merchant who has 'Special Items' to sell. You can get the hilt there. It is an upgradable lightsaber. This mod does use the TSL Patcher to make changes to the upcrystals.2da file so the lightsaber will be upgradable. Enjoy the new hilt! big grin

Kane was a dark Jedi training at the Sith Academy on Korriban during the Jedi Civil War. Shortly after Kane left the academy and the Sith entirely, though he kept the lightsaber for quite some time.

Well this launcher is pretty much the best I have seen so far, it has custom sounds and everything! Even custom background music. But to really appreciate the work that went into this mod, you have to know the way in which it was developed. Inyri being her amazing self, put the models from kotor into Max, RIGGED them and then had them do these amazing, dramatic poses. That with the mixture of the background and buttons, this launcher deserves a straight up 10/10. What with all the effort put in and the excellent end result. I applaud you Inyri Forge. Excellent Launcher!

    ~Gsccc"

    Description

    It's a launcher, using custom-posed KotOR models.

I was going for something simple, here. Kind of a dark, ominous feeling lancher that was simple enough that it wouldn't draw unnecessary attention to keep you from playing the game (which is why you bought it). To me it gives the feel of Carth (representing your party) looking over his shoulder to see Bandon (representing the Sith). Kind of like that ongoing battle between good and evil; the darkness stalking the light. Anyway, that's my one deep philosophical thought for the week. Thanks for coming! See you next week.

    Installation Instructions

First of all, backup your entire launcher folder. The easiest way to do this is to make a new folder within the launcher folder called "backup" or something similar, and copy all the files from the launcher folder into it.

Next, put all the contents of the launcher folder in this zip into your SWKotOR/launcher directory, or simply place the folder in your SWKotOR directory (this will have the same effect). This will overwrite what is already there, which is why I suggest you backup first.

  16. Green Disruptor Bolts Mod by smugglerAlex

Knights of the Old Republic & Knights of the Old Republic II modification
    ====================================================================================

If you dont like those white disruptor bolts but you like using disruptors (like me) then this mod is for you!
In SWG you saw DXR6 Disruptor Rifle, DXR? Disruptor Carbine and DXR2 Disruptor Pistol, they all shooted green bolts, not white! Also, in Jedi Knight : Dark Forces II there are rodians with green-shooting guns.
This mod simply makes you disruptor-type weapons shoot green bolts. And like you see on the screenshots, this mod works for both K1 and TSL. This mod will conflict with simillar mods.
It wont conflict with mods that CHANGE vanilla's blaster bolt textures, sounds and etc...

  17. 4 PC Species Soundsets (Booster Pack)

This mod will allow you to play using an alien speech soundset, thus making your character speak alien languages during simple tasks (like unlocking doors & items, or when entering stealth mode etc). It will complete all missing entries in each of the included ssf files (so that all NPCs will also have full soundsets), and add a few new ones.

4 included soundsets are: Bith (can also be used for Ithorians), Hutt, Jawa, & Tusken (Sand Person).

This is an add-on to my earlier soundset mod (which included 11 alien soundsets). To play as a Wookiee, use Zaalbar's soundset (since it is already complete).

in order to hear the sounds in-game, you will need to use the Kotor Savegame Editor by tk102. KSE is available at http://www.starwarsknights.com/tools.php

Once you've opened the Editor (see screenshot jpg):
1 - click on the savegame file that you want to edit
2 - highlight the Soundset line
3 - select the new soundset that you want to use
4 - click the Change soundset button. The Soundset line (2) will update.
5 - click the Commit Changes button. This will save all changes that you have made.

It's usually best to do this with a new game (as soon as possible), but you can edit saved games at any time. If you restore a previous save, the changes will not be present.

  19. Tomb of Exar Kun by deathdisco

Uploaded by permission o the author.

"Anyone else remember this mod of deathdisco's? A while ago it was posted on pcgamemods, and like all the others that were it was lost during the crash. Until now, at least! He's (obviously, or you wouldn't be reading this) been kind enough to re-submit it here.

What it adds is, as the name rather implies, Exar Kun's tomb to the game. It's a bit outdated compared to some of today's new area mods, (in that it re-uses an area) but it's still worth exploring. Most of it is a hackfest through the various Dark Jedi guardians (hurrah for more XP), but at the end your character will be confronted by Exar Kun's ghost and have the opportunity for an alignment shift as well as some good loot.

To reach the tomb visit the Yavin space station, and then go back to the Hawk. At that point you'll be presented with an option to travel to Yavin IV, though if you don't have a savegame handy you can always warp to the module directly. (The name being 'ekun'.)

    Well, that's that. Enjoy!

  20. Lightsaber Forms by deathdisco

Uploaded by permission of the author.

"What many users loved about Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords was the ability to check lightsaber forms for certain types of situations, especially duels that were going to either be somewhat of a challenge or very challenging to help get an extra advantage. This was one of the many great new features Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords had to offer.

What I think is great is when modders find ways to give those types of great features into the first Knights of the Old Republic game. Deathdisco is back. Hes the author who brought us the hit mod Coruscant - The Jedi Temple for Knights of the Old Republic II: This Sith Lords is back with this fabulous mod for Knights of the Old Republic. In fact, it was a year ago today that his Coruscant mod went up on this site. This mod that he gave us used to be on PCGM and we're glad he finally decided to upload it here.

There will be seven forms you can use during game play now. Those are listed in the readme and what types of bonuses you get from them. To use them in the game, the author made them into armbands and those have the different bonuses that those forms gave you in TSL. Some of them require certain feats to use them. Information how to get them and is in the readme file also. It's really self explanatory and there is a screenshot to give you a visual on how to get them on the Ebon Hawk after you get the first one after constructing your lightsaber. Enjoy the mod!

    (Original KotORFiles review)

This mod introduces Lightsaber forms for Knights of the Old Republic.
I have created armbands to represent the seven different Lightsaber forms.

Armbands presented the most feasible way to be able to switch between forms.
Unfortunately there are limitations to using armbands ie: you can't increase
or decrease damage (since it's not a weapon), or add a negative value to an attack
modifier. To compensate I did things like edit the strength attribute to adjust damage(+/-)
    as a workaround.

    Form I - Shii-Cho

The Determination Form, also known as Shii-Cho
or Form I, is the basic style taught to beginners.

    Attack Bonus: +1
    Defense Bonus +3

    Form II - Makashi

The Contention Form, also known as Makashi or Form II,
was specifically developed to combat other lightsaber users.

is a non-aggressive defensive style developed by the Jedi
    specifically to counter blaster weapons.

    Defense Bonus: +5
    Blaster Bolt Deflection: +5
    Strength: -6

that does not sacrifice protection from blaster fire.
It is most effective when facing blaster-wielding opponents.

  21. Bi Carth

This mod does two main things:
    - Makes Carth romanceable by M and F Revans.
    - Makes it possible for F Revans to shut Carth down early on. No more sexual harassment!

If you load a save past the second conversation with Carth and you wish to romance Carth,
talk to T3-M4 and turn the romance "on." Otherwise, Carth will abruptly begin to treat you
platonically. The option is under "Can I ask you some questions?"

    It will also make
    - the soldier in the cantina on Manaan
    - the Sith guy on Taris
    - and Davik's slave dude
    bisexual as well.

If you want to make various female NPCs bi, "Bastila and F Revan, the untold love story"
    has those files for you.

It is very likely that the Carth Romance Fix will work with an M Revan, so you probably
want to snatch that mod up, for the best possible Bi Carth experience.

    BUGS:
    - Carth will call you "sister" and "woman" a lot. The slave guy will refer to you as "mistress."
Sorry. Maybe one day I'll weed through the audio files, but for now, it is what it is.

If you find any more bugs or problems, please report them on deadlystream or message me
on tumblr. I will try to mend them ASAP.

As far as I know it's incompatible with K1R.

  22. Dark Side Reimagined

Tired of the desaturated zombie aesthetic but still want your dark side character to look, well, evil? Look no further. This mod replaces the dark side textures for all 30 player character heads. The skin complexions will still become desaturated and a little veiny as you descend the alignment scale, but nowhere near to the extent of the vanilla DSTs; the eyes will turn bright yellow-orange rather than vaguely yellowish grey.

This mod does NOT include custom character portraits. Your icon will still look like a zombie. Your character will not.

  23. Sithspecter's Boba Fett

This mod adds Boba Fett’s signature helmet, armor, and EE-3 repeater, in addition to two pistols of my own design. The helmet item is a disguise, so Boba Fett’s armor and helmet can be worn “over” any existing armor in the game. The items are fairly powerful, and should allow for a larger use of ranged weapons. This mod is also compatible with K1R.

To get the items, use the following codes on cheat or KSE:

    g_i_mask24 – Boba’s Helmet/Armor
    g_w_rptnblstr41 – Boba’s EE-3
    ss_heavy01 – Frontier AF-44 Pistol

  24. Bastila on Korriban - K1R Version

Bastila on Korriban - K1R Version
    By Fair Strides

    Description:
This is an old favorite of many players, and now we've simply made a K1R version that "meshes" better with the game.

Though I honestly don't see a difference that broke the old mod with K1R, I did think it could be done in a way that wasn't as jarring. In the old version, Bastila was selectable despite saying that she wouldn't be going.

In this version, you can choose to have her available or not. There are only two new player lines and no voice-less Bastila lines.

    Installation:
Simply run the TSLPatcher and direct it to your KotOR 1 folder.

    Uninstallation:
Delete the following files from your Override folder:
    k_sup_galaxymap.ncs
    fs_bast_disable.ncs
    ebo_bast_vision.dlg

And replace the dialog.tlk file in your main KotOR folder with the dialog.tlk file in the backup folder made by the TSLPatcher.

  25. Party on the Leviathan!

    Party on The Leviathan!
    by Fair Strides

    Description:
This mod came about as a way to realistically restore cut content that K1R couldn't restore.

Juhani had some dialog that played specifically on the Leviathan, both for normal players and for a romanced Female PC. However, normally you can't ever talk to Juhani on the Leviathan and there was no real way for K1R to include the content without breaking immersion/not sticking to its goal...

So, I had the idea to spawn the entire party (except Bastila and Carth, obviously) in the Detention Block after you're rescued. Here, you can talk to all of the party members, though only Juhani has any new lines here. And right as you leave the Detention Block, all the party members will run off around the corner ahead of you (You did tell them to get their gear and head off...) to get to the Hangar and free the Ebon Hawk.

This mod is both compatible with K1R and does not require K1R to be installed!

    Installation:
Simply run the TSLPatcher and direct it to your KotOR folder.

    Uninstallation:
Delete the following files from the Override:
    fs_party_free.ncs
    fs_party_go.ncs
    fs_party_run.ncs
    fs_party_kill.ncs
    fs_party_go.dlg
    fs_party_leave.utt
    k_plev_freecs2.ncs

And if you did NOT have a mod that added/modified a lev_m40aa.mod file in your modules folder, then delete the lev_m40aa.mod file from your modules folder.

If you DID have a mod that added/modified the lev_m40aa.mod file in your modules folder, then replace that file with the lev_m40aa.mod file from the backup folder in the same folder from where you ran the TSLPatcher.
