**While most of the screenshots are in K2, all of the stuff shown is what is in the download, and the screenshots are just used for the sake of me not having to retake all the screenshot.** *NOTHING QUALITY WISE IS CHANGED IN THE TEXTURE FILES* Description: The swords, axes, and stun batons in Vanilla K1 aren't the most prettiest things you could look at in the game. I have decided to make a texture enhancement for the swords since Snigaroo put a request for a skin to do something like this on the mod build request thread for TSL and K1. I also wanted to make this eventually, so why not do it now? The vanilla K1 swords have been upscaled to 2048 x 2048 from 64 x 64. I then used KotorBlender and GIMP to make the swords look better. Likewise for the axes and the stun batons. These are texture re-used from the TSL Melee Texture Enhancement I uploaded, but just the files K1 has. Person-who-wouldn't-wish-to-be-credited also provided an alternate stun baton texture for the 004 stun baton in a discussion with him, and button textures I used on the stun batons and swords. The alternate stun baton texture has a wood and leather appearance. I haven't changed the animated "zappy" texture on the stun batons, nor have I changed the third stun baton texture (re-used 2nd Stun Baton texture for this K1 version) , since none of the stun batons in the game use it. Screenshots are provided in the "Screeshots" folder. Installation: 1. Extract the .zip 2. Copy all of the .tpc files from "override" 3. Paste them into the override folder in the K1 directory 4. *Optionally* Copy w_Stunbaton_004.tpc from Alternate 4th Stun Baton folder and copy that into the override folder in your K1 directory, overwrite when prompted. Credits: Person-who-wouldn't-wish-to-be-credited for the button and Alternate 4th Stun Baton Texture GIMP Kotor Tool KotorBlender Use of Mod: Do not upload to any other file hosting sites without my permission (like NexusMods, GameBanana, etc.) You can re-use one of these textures in your own mod, as long as you have my permission. This mod should be compatible with any mods as long as they don't change or edit the melee textures used in this mod. This does not change or edit any new melee textures used in other mods, it is simply a vanilla add-on, and does not require anything but the download to use. 🙂- 2 comments

View File Quarterstaff Replacement Pack for K1 A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 1.0.0 Release Date: 04.01.2023 Installation: Copy & Paste the files inside the "For Override" folder and place them into the "Override" folder inside your "swkotor" directory. Description: Since the 2010s, there have been many attempts at creating high quality models and textures for the weapons found in the Kotor games, however, there are several types of weapons which don't have any HD mods in 2023: Gamorrean Battleaxes, Stun Batons and Quarterstaffs. But some of you might recall DeadMan's Quarterstaff Replacement Pack from 2012 which replaced the Quarterstaff models with high quality models and textures... this mod was made for Kotor 2 though and was never ported for K1 players to enjoy... until now! 10 years after the release of the original, the Quarterstaff Replacement Pack has now been ported to K1 replacing the Quarterstaff and the Massassi Battle Staff. Quarterstaffs can either be bought from merchants or wielded by NPCs as weapons (such as the Black Vulkars and Outcast NPCs on Taris) Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream. It should be noted that the Massassi Battle Staff sometimes doesn't extend if equipped when the player is doing the "battle pose" animation. The weapon will be able to extend once this animation stops. Incompatibilities: Report any unknown incompatibilities to me on Deadlystream.com Permissions: You are free to use this models as you like as long as you give proper credit to DeadMan. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN ASSETS OF THIS MOD TO BE UPLOADED TO STEAM WORKSHOP. Special Thanks to: DeadMan: For the original mod! SithSpecter, RevanDark and AshuraDX: Assets used in the original mod by DeadMan! Bioware: For such an amazing game! Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool! Stoffee: For TSLPatcher! Mahalo for checking out my mod! I promise I will get updated pictures down the road. I just hated how ugly the melee weapons looked, especially in comparison to all of the upscaled and re-done textures and models we can get nowadays. While not quite the job that something like High Quality Blasters does, this mod upscales all of the vanilla textures for both melee and ranged weapons using a mixture of ESRGAN and waifu2x AI upscaling to around 512-by-512px wherever possible with the goal of being as mod-friendly as it can be (so no model overhauls or anything like that - this is just a straight-up retexture). I offer both Melee and Ranged weapon textures separately so users can drag-and-drop whichever ones they want to use. The mod itself should be pretty simple to install - just download the file, go into the folder of the weapons you want to replace, and drop the loose files directly into your Override folder (should be something like C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Star Wars - KotOR2\Override, for example). Note that this won't be compatible with mods that change the models or retexture weapons, so if you want to use my textures be sure to overwrite the ones in your Override with the ones from this file! For major overhauls like High Quality Blasters or Quarterstaff Replacement where the weapons look physically different, textures from this file won't work with those models. Why should I use these textures over something like High Quality Blasters or Quarterstaff Replacement? Honestly, if the mods doesn't break anything in your game, you should just use those mods instead since they offer actually good weapon models and textures. This is more of an alternative for those who have problems with those kinds of mods or can't run those kinds of mods for whatever reason, or are looking to complement other high-res textures from those mods. Or you really, really like the vanilla textures and want to be a purist. -

Saber&Melee Weapon Sound Mod Author: DeadMan 1. What is this? This mod will change sounds of lightsabers and other melee weapons. Lightsaber sounds are replaced with more movie-like versions. The mod will not only replace ingame sounds, but also will add some variety. For example, all lightsaber types (normal, doublebladed and short) now have unique set of sounds (not only on/off and ‘hum’ sounds, but also swing, parry and hit sounds). Vibroblades, vibroswords, long swords, doublebladed swords and quarterstaffs also have updated soundsets. Vanilla game had only 2 (!) swing sounds for ALL melee weapons. With my mod it’s 3-4 unique sounds for a weapon type. 2. Why should I install it? Why not? 3. How to install? Just run TSL Patcher, it will do everything for you. 4. Compatibility. The mod is not compatible with other mods which alter saber sounds. 5. Credits. Shem – I used some sound files from his Ultimate Sound Mod. Conditions of Use: Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES ANY OF MY MODS TO BE UPLOADED TO STEAM WORKSHOP. Anything else - be my guest, use like you want, just give credit to me. -

I've got tired of standart ingame vibroswords and was looking for mods which will replace them with high(er) quality models. While looking for KotOR models I've found an intresting mod for Jedi Academy made by RevanDark which added tons of new weapons. I especially liked the look of 'Cyber Ninja' swords and I thought it will be great to have such swords in KotOR... So, this mod will replace standart vibroswords with cool "Cyber Ninja" swords. I've managed to convert models and re-create glowing effect for the blades. Mod will not change stats of weapons. Credit goes to RevanDark for creating original JA models. This is the problem I'm having, I have already posted it to Reddit. From what Snigaroo said on the subreddit, it's probably the robe mods that I have installed that seems to have issues with Melee animations. The robe mods I have installed are Force Fashion II and Lore Keeper Robes. I have never had this issue before. My questions now is if I was able to go in and fix the animation issues, how would I do so? I assume I would use KotorTool, but what would be the hypothetical steps I would need to take?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Traditional Mandalorian Blades ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ for Knights of the Old Republic This modification adds traditional Mandalorian beskar iron melee weapons, the Beskad and the Kal. The weapons can be found and purchased in-game. If you prefer different bonuses for the weapons, you can use your favorite GFF editor to modify the UTI files that the installer places in your Override folder. I made the models and textures. The textures are 1K and relatively simplistic. The original uncompressed textures, along with UV and AO map overlays, can be found in the Modder's Resource package (it is the same as K2:TSL version's Modder's Resource package). Thanks to JDub96 for requesting this, and also to Kexikus for his folder priorities tutorial that helped me realize that .mod takes precedence over .rim ... which was making me go a little insane . Re-distribute or re-use this mod as you like, in full or in part. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ COMPATIBILITY ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The modification is designed for use with K1R. Whether it works without it is unknown. The modification uses model variation 41 of vibroblade and vibrosword. It will not work with other mods that provide w_vbroshort_041 or w_vbroswrd_041. The modification MAY be incompatible with other mods that affect Igear in Taris undercity (module tar_m04aa), the Mandalorian encounter on Dantooine (module danm14ac), or the Mandalorian commander on Kashyyyk. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SPOILERS ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ You can find the objects in-game at...
