  1. KOTOR 1 Community Patch

The K1 Community Patch (K1CP) is a compilation of previous bugfix mods and a multitude of new original fixes put together with the intention of resolving the many and various issues that KOTOR has. This includes some well-known game breaking bugs/softlocks, broken quests, inaccessible content, as well as lesser issues such as problems in conversations, visual inconsistencies, player annoyances, etc. The intention is for the changes to be as seamless as possible, fixing and improving things whilst still retaining the original developer intent.
A huge thanks to all of the mod authors who created these mods, and allowed them to be included in this patch! Unfortunately, the individual list of changes has grown far too long to be included in this post. However, you can view a detailed breakdown of each author's individual contributions in the included readme file and a summary of the changes the current version has made since the previous release in the changelog file.
    List of Contributing Authors (alphabetical):
A Future Pilot blennus danil-ch darthbdaman DarthParametric Ebmar Frykas Gimmick5000 jc2 JCarter426 Kainzorus Prime Kexikus KOTOR 1 Restoration Team Leilukin Markus Ramikin N-DReW25 ndix UR R2-X2 Red Hessian Salk th3w1zard1 Thrak Farelle WildKarrde Installation:
Run INSTALL.exe and navigate to your K1 install folder. Generally speaking, this mod should be installed before anything else, except mods that do hard edits/overwrites of 2DA, TLK or MOD (module) files.
Warning: Never run the installer from inside the archive! Always extract the archive onto your hard drive first.
N.B.: With the advent of version 1.10.0, K1CP has migrated away from the use of TSLPatcher and switched to HoloPatcher. This allows for additional patching functionality and resolves some bugs encountered with TSLPatcher. HoloPatcher is also multi-platform. The bundled installer is the Windows version, but Mac and Linux users can download the appropriate installer for their system here.
It is highly recommended that you do not install the game on your system's C drive, especially in Program Files. Windows can have permissions issues when trying to install the mod to a C drive destination. If you are using the Steam version of the game and have installed Steam in its default Program Files location, we advise creating a new Steam Library on a different drive and moving the game there via the game's Properties pop-up in Steam.
    Translation:
The mod now has translations in French and Russian, available as separate patches. To use, first download the base K1CP v1.10.0 archive and extract it to your harddrive. Download your translation patch of choice and extract its contents into K1CP's tslpatchdata folder. Proceed to install the mod as normal.
    Compatibility/Known Issues:
K1CP uses module injection in an attempt to remain as compatible as possible with other mods. This may result in issues with mods that simply put files in the Override folder. It is recommended that you consult the individual authors of any large scale mods, particularly those that edit DLGs and scripts, as to whether their work is compatible with K1CP. Some mods will likely require updates, some may need to be installed in a specific order, whilst others may be fundamentally incompatible.
K1CP currently only supports the English language version of the game, and makes a number of edits to the TLK file in English. If anyone is able to provide translations of these changes to other languages, please let us know.
The KOTOR 1 Restoration (K1R) mod is incompatible with K1CP, however there is ongoing work to re-create the K1R mod for K1CP: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2345-restored-content-for-k1cp-demo/
These are the currently known bugs/issues with KOTOR or the mod that the K1CP is looking to resolve:
    https://github.com/KOTORCommunityPatches/K1_Community_Patch/issues
If you find any others, especially with changes/additions K1CP makes, please report them on the Github issue page or here on Deadly Stream so they can be addressed. Be sure to include as much information as possible, including a list of all the other mods you have installed, the order you installed them in, steps to reproduce the problem, along with screenshots and save files, if appropriate. You may also be directed to provide the install log file, a list of the contents of your Override folder, and specific MOD files from your modules folder.
    Uninstallation:
Given the complexity of this mod, a clean install of KOTOR is the recommended approach for uninstalling K1CP. However, HoloPatcher does provide uninstall Shell (Bash) and PowerShell scripts which will work as long as K1CP was the most recent mod installed.
    Permissions:
Due to this mod being a compilation from many different authors, please do not distribute/rehost it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    WARNING: IN ALMOST ALL CASES, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL THE K1R RESTORATION BEFORE ANY OTHER MODS!!! THE ONLY EXCEPTION SO FAR IS KAINZORUS PRIME'S NPC OVERHAUL...
    The KotOR 1 Restoration Mod is an attempt to restore almost all the content that was cut from the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic by BioWare Corp. Of course, these restorations will be within reason and things that were cut because they did not fit with the plot, and cannot be made to fit with the plot, will most definitley NOT be restored.
    » INSTALLATION
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An installation which involves the TSL Patcher has been made ready for your use and is the simplest and easiest way to carry out installation.

Alternatively, a secondary installer has been made for convenience. It will not patch the files like the TSL Patcher will, but it should be less of a headache for most users. HOWEVER, IT WILL NEED TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE ANY OTHER MODS!!!

Note: The K1R team is not responsible for any incompatibility issues that may arise from the use of this mod in conjunction with other mods. Also, in order to provide the best feedback for us we recommend that you play K1R with NO other mods installed.

Note 2: If using the TSL Patcher AND your game is in English, before installing, copy the dialog.tlk file bundled with this package into the KotOR directory. This will give you the grammar and typo fixes to the vanilla text.

    1) Double click K1R_1.2_Installer.exe found in the main directory of the unpacked folder.

    3) Click yes to the box that'll pop up... if you wish to proceed with installation.
    4) Watch as all the little file names and progress reports scroll by and wait until the installer is complete.

  3. ...A Leveling Fix

This is my solution to the level cap problem. Basically it doubles the time it takes to
level up. This may make the game harder, and it makes room for all of these great storyline

  4. (KotOR 1) Speeders "Kitt" style

    INTRODUCTION
At first I just wanted improve the aspect of the dashboard of the Bikes and Speeders. Working with the project I saw an ideal place in the image and thought that It'd be funny add a singular feature to the Speeders that recalls one of the most known cars seen in TV. Here it is.
    NOTE:
There is still another image file (the same image that the Swoop in the Ebon Hawk but with a different file name) that I haven't modified yet and I don't know where is found. The ones modified here are the seen for the first time in Taris and Dantooine. (BTW, the "junk" bikes are not modified, it's just ...junk).

    INSTALLATION
Unzip with 7z the downloaded file. Each vehicle has its own folder. Just copy/paste (or drag and drop) the files from the desired folder(s)/vehicle(s) to your  'KotOR\Override' folder.
The files of the "After Before" and "Result" folders are not needed, they're only for to show the results.
    UNINSTALL
Simply remove the files from your Override folder.

  5. [K1] - "The Revelation" Cutscene Custom Remake

Please note this is a CUSTOM FAN INTERPRETATION of the Revelation cutscene, it is not 100% faithful to the original BIK and features the use of visual mods.

File Name: "DV's The Revelation Cutscene Remake V.1"
    Author: Darth Varkor
Works for: Knights of the Old Republic I
    K1 Restoration Compatibility: Yes.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Description: For a while, I have been thinking about re-creating various BIK cutscenes within the games, not just
for my own personal machinima-related use, but to upload for public use as a mod. Now, as I am fairly limited to
what I can do (in-game scripting and some basic animation in After Effects) I lack the skills in software such
as 3DSMax to fully recreate some cutscenes such as the various ones of the Ebon Hawk taking off and landing on
    the various worlds.
Anyway, I decided to first have a stab at the infamous 'Revelation' cutscene, providing my take on the scene,
capturing all footage in-game. The cutscene plays out fairly similiarly to how the original does, but, with
some of my own alterations/additions. Any constructive feedback is welcome.
Installation: Simply drag the BIK file provided and drop it in the "Movies" folder located within your
SWKotOR directory. You should probably make a back-up of the original movie in-case the mod fails to work for
whatever reason, or in case you simply prefer the original cutscene.
Uninstallation: Remove the BIK file and replace it with the original.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Video demonstration of the mod.

    Mods used in this cutscene:
    XediiXarwarz - Dantooine 2012 Reskin
    XediiXarwarz - Taris 2012 Reskin
Oldflashi - K1 Movie Style Hilts
    JC's Lightbaber Visual Effects

  6. [K1] "Fork" Short Lightsabers

    Coauthored with oldflash.
Now available for KotOR I, a mere thirteen years after the original TSL release, thanks to the magic of MDLEdit.
This mod adds a whole set of new short lightsabres - one for each lightsabre colour available in the game,
and their crystals to the game. They can be found by the workbench in the Enclave on Dantooine,
but only after you leave the Enclave for the first time after becoming a Jedi.
The box is spawned when you speak to the droid at the exit from the Enclave and it says
“The Council has decreed you may come and go as you please” for the first time.
For the mod to work, you need to have not been to Dantooine yet, or at least, not undergone Jedi training.
    Installation

Just double-click on the "Install "Fork" Short Lightsabres" icon to begin the installation. Do not attempt manual installation - it will not work.
Don't worry about fiddling with the Source Scripts or Screenshots folders - they are not required for the mod to run.

    Known Conflicts
As far as I know, this mod shouldn't conflict with many that are out there,
but will conflict with any mod which alters the file dan13_jdroid.dlg.
So far as I am aware, the only mod to alter that file was a robe mod which is no longer available,
    so this issue shouldn’t arise.
    Known Bugs
None that I know of at present. Again, please let me know if you find any.

  7. [K1] Ajunta Pall's Voice "Legends"

This mod replace the vanilla Ajunta Pall's voice with the "Legends" version.

    # Background #
The main motivation of this mod was, for me personally; to have me enjoy VarsityPuppet's "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance", to the most immerse experience I could have. So, I fiddled around with the vanilla voices to have me get that spectral feeling inside the tomb.

    # About this Mod #
Inside this mod are 59 edited voice-overs of Ajunta Pall, using the game original files as the base voice to work with. [Updated in v1.0.1]

    # Final Remarks #
I suggest you to install VarsityPuppet's "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance" first, and then install this mod after. This mod aims to complete the Ajunta Pall's spectral ambience part.
Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- just PM me or write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod.

Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

    Installation: Run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe].
Uninstallation: Run the "Uninstall: Vanilla Ajunta Pall's Voice" option from the installer directory.
Compatibility: Will not be 100% compatible with VarsityPuppet's "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance", as VP's mod also include VOs replacement upon installing. To make this mod compatible, install this mod after VP's to have the intended effect. This mod will only affect the voice of Ajunta Pall.
Redistribution: You can redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website; all I'm asking was just not to take credits for it. You don't have to ask for permission, but I do appreciate all the kind intention. Also, if you are planning to use the assets from this mod to a mod you will be developing, don't forget to give credits to BioWare & LucasArts, as inside this mod are their base assets too. All said and done, credits to my name is always a welcome, welcome.
    Credits: [Updated in v1.0.1]
DarthParametric for the past-present knowledge which allows me to create any customs for the game, and his guidance on working with the installer. DarthParametric again, for the "addheader.bat"- which tools have been proven very useful to re-compressed the .WAV files. VarsityPuppet for the permission to have "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance" stand-out-ly featured in the preview. VarsityPuppet again, for inspiring me with the amazing "Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance", and later for his input which enabled me to have the .WAV files compressed to micro-sized ones in v1.0.1, and resulting in better blend with the game- all but goodness. BioWare & LucasArts for the 'Game of the 21st Century'. All streamers on DeadlyStream which indirectly involved on this project that I couldn't possibly mentioned one by one. All modders either active or inactive. stoffe and Fair Strides for the TSLPatcher setup. DeadlyStream for a place to hangout and to discuss. -eb

  8. [K1] Alignment Fancy Bits

This mod adds fancy VFX and SFX alignment change both to the dark side and light side in two available style; TOR and TSL.

    -= BACKGROUND =-
Not much of a background -- just my curiosity fueled with @DarthParametric's invaluable insights and assistance trying something never been done [at least to release stage until this mod was attempted] and documented previously to K1 based on its successors; The Sith Lords and The Old Republic.

    -= ABOUT THIS MOD =-
TOR style -- adds IN-cutscenes VFX and SFX based on TOR's TSL style -- adds POST-cutscenes VFX and SFX based on TSL's TOR style no SFX -- adds ONLY IN-cutscenes VFX based on TOR's TSL style no SFX -- adds ONLY POST-cutscenes VFX based on TSL's * Preview [v1.0.1] --
To its VFX base it's using ported TSL models and texture [for the dark side ones] provided by DarthParametric. As for the SFX, I had them ported from TSL -- originally comes as mus_s_darkshort and mus_s_lightshort.
-- provided as well user-friendly uninstaller for convenience purpose.

    -= KNOWN ISSUES =-
TOR style -- at some potential cases [depending on how the cutscenes were set up] the SFX and/or VFX won't show up if the camera/frame far-off from the Player. In SFX's case -- because Players' presence on-screen's needed as they're the medium for the SFX output TSL style -- as using a spawned placeable's OnHeartbeat [which checks for and] to trigger the VFX and SFX for ONLY every ~3 seconds, they will not fired instantly. Delays are to be expected with this one. Also, as I didn't include ratio check to DS and LS gains sometimes you'll see LS status with DS' VFX/SFX and vice-versa. That often happens if there are multiple alignment sets in one continuous cutscenes There are module-specifics scripts that alter the alignment which is outside the scope of this mod -- at least at this current stage. With that in mind sometimes you won't see the mod's working although there are alignment change's happening
    -= FINAL REMARKS =-
There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM me here, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and using this mod.

Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

    -= INSTALLATION =-
Run the installer, pick only one of the available options then hit the [Install Mod ->] button!

    -= UNINSTALLATION =-
Available in the _uninstall folder -- make sure to read the Readme first!

    -= COMPATIBILITY =-
Is NOT compatible with mods that share the provision; doing same thing, same assets etc and/or anything that hard-overwrites 2DAs coming from this mod.

    -= REDISTRIBUTION =-
I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions -- so be considerate to not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites.
If you're to use the assets from this mod - please be kindly to ask for permission first -- that way I know what's up, and if it's interesting enough I might offer to be involved, hahah. Or at least we'll talk. Cheers!

  9. [K1] Animated Swoop Screen [TSLPort]

This mod replaces K1's vanilla static swoop monitor with TSL ported swoop monitor with added animations on its screen.

    # Background #
Lately I have been attempting few porting stuffs between TSL to K1 and then wondered "can PLC_xx be ported?" and the answer is here.

    # About this Mod #
    Inside this mod are:
One TSL ported swoop monitor model: plc_swscreen MDL/MDX One TSL ported swoop monitor texture in TPC format: TSL_SwpMntr One custom made 11 frames-animated swoop screen in TPC format: AnmtdSwpScrn
    # Final Remarks #
This attempt were much inspired by Sith Holocron's "Swoop Monitors Replacement Pack" as without the said mod, it wouldn't go anywhere than just a mere idea. I learned a lot from his texture and TXI's setup so- lots of credits pretty much addressed to SH and his work!
Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- just PM me or write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod.

Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

Uninstallation: Remove the said files from the 'Override' folder.
Redistribution: You can redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website; you don't have to ask for permission, but I do appreciate all the kind intention. Also, if you are planning to use the assets from this mod to a mod you will be developing, don't forget to give credits to BioWare, Obsidian Entertainment, and LucasArts as inside this mode are their base assets. Anyways, credit to me is always a welcome, welcome.

  11. [K1] Companion Sidequest Rewards

Brings a version of TSL’s richer companion interactions to K1. Grants character specific benefits after finishing their sidequests.
    Description:
I am a big believer that story and gameplay should effect each other as much as possible. In TSL that is fulfilled by lots of real benefits for engaging with party members. The same should be true for K1...but the features just aren't there. The bones for what we see in TSL exists as the upgrade system for HK-47, so that is the foundation I built this on.
This mod works by leveling up companions and equipping custom items to their hidden inventory slot when you finish their relevant quest or dialog. The goal is to provide some unique incentive for fully experiencing each character's storyline.
The specific triggers for each rewards are below (potential spoilers):
Each party member, besides Bastila, will receive the following bonuses (Mod/Story Spoilers):
Some quests can end in more than one way, in those cases rewards will be granted (or not) in a way that makes sense for the character. If you are not seeing a reward (Level up + bonus) after finishing a quest, you should after having a follow-up discussion with them.
For some, K1's difficulty can already feel low. While I have done my best to keep these bonuses balanced, completing these quests will increase the overall power of your party. Because of this, I'd recommend a mod that increases the overall difficulty, such as Zulkain's Impossible Difficulty Restored.

  12. [K1] Dann Kasra - PC Replacement Soundset

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 02 MAR 2019
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]

    Description:
If you’ve seen DarthVarkor’s series, perhaps you might have considered making your character sound like his main character.  With this mod for KotOR1, now you can!
I asked DarthVarkor to record all of the lines that the PC says in the standard game.  He even threw in an few extra take (“p_plyermw_rprty3 (alt take)”) as his Revan (a/k/a Dann Kasra) would be more likely to say the line that way.  As his series’ main character has turned to the dark side in this sound set, he’s already wearing the mask so there’s an appropriate filter here.
This mod is only for Knights of the Old Republic 1.  Knights of the Old Republic 2 - although it has the voice files for the male and female PC - that game doesn't have them activated, rendering the Exile mute. In order to use this mod in Knights of the Old Republic 2, you must install JC's Player Soundset Restoration for K2 in KotOR2 before this mod. That being said: As this mod is strictly designed for KotOR1 and not for KotOR2, any sounds that do not end of playing what you expected should not be reported to me.

    Installation:
    -----------------
You'll not be dropping these into your Override like my usual mods.  This time you have new steps to follow.
    1) First decide if you’ll be using the original lines or the alternate takes described above.  Delete the files of what you’re replacing and rename the replacements accordingly
    2) Now that you’ve made your choices above, move the original KotOR1 files that come with the game to a place you can find them.  (I recommend a folder on your desktop but you do you!)  Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder.
    3) Extract the files from the 7z folder. Grab the new files from that extracted folder and put them in Streamsounds folder.

Note: If you're using the mod on Steam, this quote may prove especially helpful.
“I threw the files in Streamsound. I managed to fix it by verifying game files through steam and reinstalling the mod though!”

    Uninstall:
    --------------
Remove my files from the Streamsounds folder. Put the original files that you saved elsewhere back in the Streamsounds folder.

  13. [K1] Darth Revan from SWTOR soundset (as performed by UnusualCharacters)

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 23 AUG 2019
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]

    Description:

So . . . have you felt that the non-descript voice actor for Knights of the Old Republic 1 male player character didn’t sound enough like Revan in SWTOR?  Here’s a new player character sound set that UnusualCharacters recorded for us in style of Revan from the SWTOR.  The lines as written are exactly the same as the original written for the most part.  When noted below, the original line was missing in the game so I asked UnusualCharacters to improvise.

Lock Picking: Player is making the attempt unlock the lock box or door
    p_plyermw_block1            Got it.
    p_plyermw_block2            No problem.
    p_plyermw_block3            Right.

    Critical hit achieved.
p_plyermw_crit1            Ha! He’ll feel that for sure!
    p_plyermw_crit2            That hurt I bet.
p_plyermw_crit3            You won’t be getting up from that any time soon!

    Mines: Disarming.
    p_plyermw_dmin1            That one’s a dud.
    p_plyermw_dmin2            OK, it’s disabled.
    p_plyermw_dmin3            Mine disabled.

Lock Picking: Player fails the attempt unlock the lock box or door
    p_plyermw_flock1            Damn!
    p_plyermw_flock2            Didn’t work.
    p_plyermw_flock3            Damn it!

    Mines: Arming a Mine.
p_plyermw_lmin1            One surprise trip coming up.
p_plyermw_lmin2            Whoever stands on this will get a nasty shock.
    p_plyermw_lmin3            Mine placed.

Player has low health and needs medical attention.
p_plyermw_low1            [groan] I’m in a lot of pain right now.
p_plyermw_low2             I should get help for my wounds.
    p_plyermw_low3            I’m hurt badly.

Player has just received medical attention.
p_plyermw_med1            [sound of relief] This should patch things up.
    p_plyermw_med2             This should help.
p_plyermw_med3             That’s better.  [new improvised line]

    Player has been poisoned.
p_plyermw_pois1            [groan] I think something got me sick.
    p_plyermw_pois2            [groan] I think I’ve been poisoned.
p_plyermw_pois3            [groan] I think something is in my system.

    The party is regrouping.
    p_plyermw_rprty1            Everyone’s back again!
p_plyermw_rprty2            OK, let’s get going again.
p_plyermw_rprty3            We can get back together now.

Player character has been selected via the menu.
    p_plyermw_slct1            Yeah?
    p_plyermw_slct2            Yes?
    p_plyermw_slct3            What?
    p_plyermw_slct4            Hmm?
    p_plyermw_slct5            Sure.
p_plyermw_slct6            All right.  [new improvised line]
    p_plyermw_slct7           What?
    p_plyermw_slct8            Right.

    Lock Picking: Success.
    p_plyermw_slock1            Opened.
    p_plyermw_slock2            Got it.
    p_plyermw_slock3            Done.

Main Character is going into solo mode.
p_plyermw_sprty1            I need to go alone for a bit.
    p_plyermw_sprty2            We’ll just separate for a bit.
p_plyermw_sprty3            Let me go on alone for a bit.

Player is looking out for something.
    p_plyermw_srch1            I won’t miss a thing.
p_plyermw_srch2            If there’s something there, I’ll find it.
p_plyermw_srch3            Nothing will get by me.

    Stealth mode activated.
    p_plyermw_stlh1            Not even a whisper.
    p_plyermw_stlh2            I’ll avoid what I can.
    p_plyermw_stlh3            Silent and deadly.

The weapon used by player character is either broken or inefficient in current attack.
    p_plyermw_tia1            It’s not doing anything.
p_plyermw_tia2            My weapon isn’t doing anything.
    p_plyermw_tia3            I need a better weapon.

  14. [K1] DarthVarkor’s Dann Kasra “Before the Reveal” - PC Replacement Soundset

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 3 MAR 2019
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]

    Description:
If you’ve seen DarthVarkor’s series, perhaps you might have considered making your character sound like his.  With this mod for KotOR1, now you can.
I asked DarthVarkor to record all of the lines that the PC says.  He even threw in a couple of extra takes (“p_plyermw_slct9 (improvised extra) and “p_plyermw_stlh4”) as his character might be more likely to say the lines that way. You could rename those lines to replace the normal lines if you do desire. If you decide to do that, be sure not include the original line you’ll be replacing.
As his series’ main character hasn’t had the spoiler-laden reveal in this sound set, he’s not wearing a mask so there’s no filter here.
This mod is only for Knights of the Old Republic 1.  Knights of the Old Republic 2 - although it has the voice files for the male and female PC - that game doesn't have them activated, rendering the Exile mute. 15. [K1] Environment Map Restoration

    [K1] Defaultenvmap Restoration
    By Darth InSidious
    Description
Both KotOR games were designed to have environment mapping, i.e., reflections on armours and weapons that
looked like the area the player character was in, rather than generic shinyness.
In the default game, this is switched off, perhaps for performance reasons. This mod partially restores this
feature, using the environment maps for the game which Obsidian included in the default game files.
As a result, not every area has environment maps, but I have been able to enable the feature in about 80 areas,
listed below. This includes the Ebon Hawk and parts of every planet (and large ship, and space station) in the game, except the
    Yavin space station.
This mod is intended as much as a proof-of-concept as a restoration in itself. A full restoration would likely
require cube-mapping all the areas in the game, which I don't have the time or resources to do. If someone
feels like doing that, and knows how, let me know.

    Known bugs and compatibility issues
Because each area has only one environment map, sometimes the reflections will be wrong for a given part of an area
which looks different. Also, because of the limited number of environment maps included in the game, I have
reused several of them in different places. Hopefully this isn't too obvious, but it may mean that the environment
    mapping isn't always exact.
The mod currently installs as a series of .are files directly into your Override. This is because it's
difficult otherwise to take account of .mod files with the same filename as the game's default .rim area files,
so it was difficult to make the mod work with, e.g., K1R modules.
This mod hasn't been tested for compatibility with K1R, but I don't anticipate issues for the most part,
since the .are file isn't used for much that can be modded.
*Nevertheless, this mod *may* cause some compatibility issues in some areas with K1R.*
    Installation
Double click on "[K1] Install Defaultenvmap restoration", and hit the "install mod" button.
    Uninstallation
Delete the .are files from your Override folder, and restore the baseitems.2da file
backup made by TSLPatcher on install, and placed in the "backup" folder.
If no such baseitems.2da backup exists (i.e., you haven't used any other mods that modify this file)
simply delete baseitems.2da from your override folder.

  17. [K1] Force Enlightenment Power

This mod adds a faithful adaptation of Force Enlightenment power from TSL to K1: where the best of the Jedi's Speed, Armor and Valor powers are instantly activated at a reduced cost (30). This power is useful to quickly become ready for difficult battles.

    Compatibility
Since this mod only adds new content and doesn’t modify existing content, it shouldn’t conflict with other mods. It works with Snigaroo’s KOTOR I Full Build Mods from reddit.
    Installation
    1.    Make sure override folder exists at game root directory
    2.    Run TSLPatcher to automatically install
    Uninstallation
    1.    Copy spells.2da in backup and move it to override folder. Overwrite existing spells.2da if any, otherwise remove spells.2da from override folder. Only overwrite existing spells.2da if you don't have any mod installed after this mod that touches spells.2da, otherwise this will accidentally erase any later modifications made to spells.2da.
    2.    Remove ip_frenlight.tga, fp_enlightenment.ncs from override folder.
    3.    Copy dialog.tlk from TSLPatcher backup to the main game folder (not the override folder). Overwrite the existing dialog.tlk.

    Known Bugs
    1.    Saving throw bonuses from Valor and Shield don't stack, only the highest has effect (not script issue, more of a game-engine bug).
    2.    Activation of Speed, Valor, and Shield on top of Enlightenment will result in additional bonuses. Fixing the problem will require massive change to the generic force power script, which is beyond the scope of this mod, but may be added for future updates.

  18. [K1] Force Powers' Sounds Pack

This mod replaces Force Powers' SFXs in the SW:KotOR game with the modded version's SFXs.
     # Background #
To tell the truth, I am pleased with the original Force Powers' SFX but it's just- I want to experience something different- something fresh; and the project was started then.
    # About this Mod #
Inside this version are 7 modded Force Powers' Sound FXs; some based on in-game vanilla assets, and some others are modifications from Shem's "Ultimate Sound Mod"; which he gave permission for anyone whom wants to use the work he have done in a future mod, to just give him credit for what they have used. So, they are:
Force Use [v_useforce] - Sound FX produced first when using Force Powers [noticeably heard with Force Cure, Force Heal, Force Armor, Force Aura, and Force Energy Resistance]. Force Lightning [v_pro_lightning] - Sound FX produced when using Force Lightning. Force Death Field [v_pro_deathfeld] - Sound FX produced when using Force Death Field. Force Wave [v_imp_frcwave] - Sound FX produced when using Force Wave. Force Choke [v_imp_choke] - Sound FX produced when using Force Choke. Force Throw Lightsaber [v_throw] - Sound FX produced when using Throw Lightsaber. Force Destroy Droid [v_pro_droidkill] - Sound FX produced when using Force Destroy Droid. This mod can be installed anytime and/or anywhere on the game, and will have direct effect to the game.
    Shem's Terms of Use:
    # Final Remarks #
I suggest you to install Shem's "Ultimate Sound Mod" [first] along with JCarter426's "JC's K1 Sound Effects" [second], and then sync them with this mod [third]. After all this time, I still believe that Shem's "USM" is still the most enjoyable SFX mod. And later, JCarter426's "K1 SFXs" complete Shem's. And this mod aims to complete the Force Powers' part.
Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- PM me at deadlystream.com [ebmar] or just write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod.
Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!
    Installation: Run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe].
Uninstallation: Run the "Optional: Vanilla Force Powers' SFXs" option from the installer directory. As only for the Force Throw Lightsaber [v_throw], you must uninstall it manually by removing the said file from the 'Override' folder.
Compatibility: There are 5 assets that will not compatible with Shem's, they are; Force Choke [v_imp_choke], Force Wave [v_imp_frcwave], Force Destroy Droid [v_pro_droidkill], Force Lightning [v_pro_lightning], and Force Throw Lightsaber [v_throw]. Install this mod after Shem's if you want that change.
Redistribution: Do not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website at all. As inside this mod, there are base assets which they are not belongs to mine. If you plan on using this mod or only the assets from this mod to a mod you will be developing, give credits to Shem, BioWare and LucasArts; as this mod contains their assets. Also, a credits to my name is always a welcome, welcome.
    Credits:
Shem for the collaboration between the "Ultimate Sound Mod" assets with mine's. BioWare & LucasArts for the 'Game of the 21st Century'. AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 01 APR 2019
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]

    Description:
If you’ve played Half Life 1 or 2, perhaps you might have considered making your character sound like Gordon Freeman.  With this mod for KotOR1, now you can!
    Installation:
You'll not be dropping these into your Override like my usual mods.  This time you have new steps to follow.
    1) Now that you’ve made your choices above, move the original KotOR1 files that come with the game to a place you can find them.  (I recommend a folder on your desktop but you do you!)  Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder.
    2) Extract the files from the 7z folder. Grab the new files from that extracted folder and put them in Streamsounds folder.
    3) When you're done with the beta, you can delete my files from the Streamsounds folder and put the original files back in there.

Note: If you're using the mod on Steam, this quote may prove helpful.
“I threw the files in Streamsound. I managed to fix it by verifying game files through steam and reinstalling the mod though!”

    Uninstall:

  22. [K1] Imperial Agent (Male) - PC Replacement Soundset

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 08 FEB 2019
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]

    Description:
So . . . have you felt I’ve been giving a bit too much love to the light side of the Force with last few sound sets?  Fair enough.
Now you’ll be able to play with a character with some character - the smooth, suave Imperial Agent from SWTOR.  Wreak havoc . . . but with some measure of subtlety. And always with style.

  23. [K1] Improved dialog.tlk

** Improved K1 dialog.tlk compiled by KnifeMaster, with huge contributions from Gimmick5000, Salk, Kainzorus Prime and DarthParametric **
This mod attempts to fix all known typos, subtitle mismatches, bad punctuation and other grammatical sloppiness found in the first KotOR game. I'd like to give a huge thanks to Gimmick5000 for discovering the overwhelming majority of these issues while working on his "eXtensive Dialog Overhaul" mod, and Fair Strides for his TLK>TXT tool. Gimmick's "eXtensive" project aims to replace a lot of player responses, though, while this one keeps those as is... sort of. Kainzorus Prime was kind enough to let me use his "PC Response Moderation" as the basis for this mod, which is a massive improvement over Bioware's player responses. If you're interested in Gimmick's dialog overhaul, be sure to follow it here:
    https://deadlystream.com/topic/7022-extensive-dialog-overhaul-beta-for-kotor-103/
Quite a few corrections were also made by Salk, DarthParametric, ebmar and myself, but unfortunately I don't have a complete list of fixes. Most of the issues are listed in Gimmick's thread, and a few more can be found here:
    https://github.com/KOTORCommunityPatches/K1_Community_Patch/issues/148
I'm sure there are still errors out there, but hundreds upon hundreds, if not thousands have been fixed. To install, simply replace the stock dialog.tlk file in your "swkotor" folder with this one. I highly recommend using this mod on a clean install of the game. And, of course, INSTALL THIS BEFORE any other mods that alter KotOR's dialog.tlk. It should be compatible with K1R, but you must install K1R afterwards.
So, in summary: lots of typos and subtitle mismatches fixed, no more double, triple or quadruple (yes really) exclamation or question marks, dashes ( - ) used less liberally and a few awful run-on sentences have been reworked. Enjoy, and feel free to report any issues on the download page.

  24. [K1] Janice Nall "Legends" and the Incomplete Droids

This mod overhauls the appearance of Janice Nall and her Incomplete Droids in her store.

    # Background #
I was in a playthrough and looking to overhauls things that're necessary; this is one of them.

    # About this Mod #
This modification makes Janice Nall more like an expert droid technician; with those flashy looks of hi-tech armor she's wearing and her Incomplete Droids will looked like they're meant to be; an unfinished paint jobs with missing parts in their anatomy.
Updated in v1.1.0: Adds an additional texture option for Incomplete Droid; which texture now immensely have the look of C8-42-GE3 [Elise Montagne's personal-assistant droid] with unfinished paint jobs.
Updated in v1.1.1: An additional installation targeted to earlier version user; which is a fix for Janice Nall's model provided by @DarthParametric [Female Armour Collar Fix].

    # Final Remarks #
I have plan to change T3-H8 appearance to something more unique in the future update; to make it different from common utility droids spreads around the game. We'll see. 🤞
Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- just PM me, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod.

Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

    Installation:
Run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe] To install Incomplete Droids' alternative texture; simply run its option, or you could also drop the included file to the 'Override' folder. Overwrite when prompted Uninstallation: Replace the installed files with what is stored inside the generated 'Backup' folder. Particularly the tar_m02ab.mod, put back the file to the 'modules' folder; overwrite when prompted.
Compatibility: This mod works either with vanilla or modded state of the game. Will be compatible with Kainzorus Prime's "[KotOR] NPC Overhaul Mod"- make sure to install this mod after the said mod has. Will not be compatible with any mods that overrides the tar02_brokedroid.utc and tar02_janice021.utc or anything that force-overrides the contents of tar_m02ab.mod.
For this mod to be effective you should at least load a saved game before entering the Upper City North [tar_m02ab] module

Redistribution: You can redistribute this mod or re-release it to any website as long it fits their policies; just don't claim it as your own. And be advised that I will not provide support to any technical problems there. If you are to re-use the assets to a mod you will be releasing, you don't have to ask for permission- but your generosity is very much welcome. Also, make sure to give credits to SpaceAlex, DarthParametric, BioWare & LucasArts with the release; as inside this mod are theirs. An appreciation to yours truly is also a warm welcome, welcome.

    Description:
    --------------------
Now your PC character in KotOR1 can sound like Lana Beniko from SWTOR!
I've filled out as many of the options that I showed in the female PC voice lines document that I could. This also enables you - the player - to go through the lines and decide which is the best one to use. Options, people!  Who doesn't like options?

BTW, there isn’t a ported head mod for this voice to go with yet.  If you wish to join the thread to offer your interest in such a thing, go to this thread.

Hopefully, I've found suitable lines for the PC various scenarios.  You'll have to let me know in the review section below.  (Details are better than just leaving stars, you see.)  Feel free to link videos of the lines in use in your review.  I would've done it myself but my computer has not been brought to repair shop yet.
