Version 1.4

In the vanilla game, Yavin Station is the only location that does not have a proper hangar where the player can walk to and from the Ebon Hawk. This mod adds one that generally matches the original landing and takeoff cutscenes, although I have taken a few artistic liberties. You may notice that, as with the original cutscenes, it looks remarkably similar to the Ahto City hangar on Manaan. I can only assume that the same architect worked on both projects. The hangar comes in two variants: with and without a visible forcefield effect over the hangar entrance. By default, the forcefield is invisible. To change between the visible and invisible forcefields, see the INSTALLATION instructions below. Aside from adding the new hangar, I have also made a few additional edits to the station: - Changed the stars to use a different, less-repetitive vanilla star texture. - Fixed some questionable geometry at the main observation window. - Edited the walkmesh by the observation window to correct a glitch where the player could teleport into space, originally documented by the KOTOR 1 Community Patch (K1CP). (This mod's walkmesh fixes were made from scratch and do not reuse any K1CP material.) - Added a proper load screen for the station. (New for version 1.4) - Added corridor geometry behind the various locked doors, in place of the original 2D backdrop. (New for version 1.4) IMPORTANT: To experience the new hangar, you will need a save from before visiting Yavin Station for the first time. ALSO IMPORTANT: If you are upgrading from version 1.3 or earlier, a new save is also recommended to avoid issues with the lighting on the new airlock doors. Thank you for downloading, and I hope you enjoy this mod! ------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION Run INSTALL.exe, and follow the prompts. If you have other mods installed, it is normal to see a warning that liv_m99aa.mod already exists and has been skipped. If you are using "High Quality Cockpit Skyboxes" by Sithspecter, see below for additional instructions. By default, the forcefield at the hangar entrance is invisible. To add a visible forcefield effect, run INSTALL.exe again after finishing the main installation, and select "Optional: Add Visible Forcefield". If you have previously installed version 1.3 or earlier of this mod, you can upgrade by installing directly over the old version. Note, however, that you may need to reinstall any other mods which affect Yavin Station (specifically, any mods that edit m50aa.git). Version 1.4 changes the appearance of the added airlock doors so that they look less like the Sith base doors. If you prefer the appearance from version 1.0, copy the files in the folder "Option - Alternate Airlock Door (v1_0)" into Override. ------------------------------------------------------------------- COMPATIBILITY This mod is incompatible with other mods that edit the area geometry of Yavin Station. Reskins are technically compatible, but depending on how drastic they are, they might look strange with a few new textures from this mod. If you are using a reskin of the Ebon Hawk's exterior, see the instructions below. This mod is compatible with the Kotor 1 Community Patch (K1CP). It has not been tested with the KOTOR 1 Restoration (K1R) or the K1 Yavin IV Planet Mod, but I do not expect any significant compatibility issues. For best results, install this mod after K1CP or K1R and before any other mods that alter Yavin Station. If you are using any mods that change the station's load screen (i.e. "Loadscreens in Color" by Sithspecter), install them after this one. If they use .tga files, you will need to delete this mod's version of "load_liv_m99aa.tpc" from Override manually. ------------------------------------------------------------------- HIGH QUALITY COCKPIT SKYBOXES If you are using "High Quality Cockpit Skyboxes" by Sithspecter (which I highly recommend), I have included compatible skybox textures matching my new hangar. After installing the cockpit skyboxes, perform the following steps: 1. Open the folder "HQ Cockpit Skybox Textures" from this mod. 2. Copy the TPC files corresponding to the desired quality into your Override folder. 3. If present, delete the following files from Override: - ebo_yab.tga - ebo_yaf.tga - ebo_yal.tga - ebo_yar.tga - ebo_yat.tga If you are using the alternate airlock door option, also copy the appropriate version of "ebo_yaf.tpc" from the "Alternate Airlock Door" folder into Override, overwriting if asked. "High Quality Cockpit Skyboxes" may be found at https://deadlystream.com/files/file/938-high-quality-cockpit-skyboxes/ ------------------------------------------------------------------- EBON HAWK RESKINS To use a reskin of the Ebon Hawk's exterior with the new hangar, perform the following steps: 1. Make extra copies of "LSF_EHawk01.tga" and "LSF_EHawk01.txi" (if present) from the reskin, and rename them as "yvh_ehawk.tga" and "yvh_ehawk.txi", respectively. 2. Open the new "yvh_ehawk.txi" with a text editor, and change the entry after "envmaptexture" or "bumpyshinytexture" to "CM_WK_YAVHGR". 3. Copy both files into your Override folder. 4. Delete "yvh_ehawk.tpc" from your Override folder. ------------------------------------------------------------------- CREDITS MDLedit and KOTORmax by bead-v KotorBlender by seedhartha tpcview and tga2tpc by ndix UR NWNSSCOMP by Torlack, stoffe, and tk102 DeNCS by JdNoa and Dashus K-GFF by tk102 TSL Patcher by stoffe and Fair Strides ERFEdit by stoffe and Fair Strides Kotor Tool by Fred Tetra New textures and models were based on existing KOTOR material by Bioware. A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Authors: N-DReW25, Effixan and Constantinople33 1.0.0 Release Date: 08.05.2022 Installation: 1) Install JC's Fashion Line I: Cloaked Hybrid Robes for K1 FIRST! (No exceptions!!!): https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1758-jcs-fashion-line-i-cloaked-hybrid-robes-for-k1/ 2) Install Effixan's Qel-Droma Robes Reskin SECOND!: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2019-effixians-qel-droma-robes-reskin-for-jcs-cloaked-jedi-robes/ 3) Open the "For Override" folder and copy the files within to your swkotor Override folder and select the "Overwrite" option when it pops up. Description: March 11th 2021 saw the release of the Lore-Friendly Qel Droma Robes by Constantinople33 which was a 2K resolution reskin of the vanilla K1 Jedi Robe texture to make the Qel-Droma Robe item look more like the canonical Robe as worn by Qel-Droma in the Kotor Comics. I personally thought the skin looked AMAZING with its extensive detail, but at the time I used JC's Cloaked Jedi Robe mod so I took no heed to the mod as both mods were incompatible. But upon looking into JC's Cloaked Hybrid Robe mod, I realized that it would be possible to "merge" Constantinople33's work with one of JC's Cloaked Jedi Robe skin to make a "Hybrid" robe. At first, I was intending to use Salk's Qel-Droma Robe texture (which was uploaded by StellarExile) as the Cloaked texture of my Hybrid mod, but after my initial work on the Hybrid Robe the modder Effixan published his own take on a unique Qel-Droma Cloaked Robe. From what I can tell, Salk had requested Effixan to professionally make his version of Qel-Droma's Cloaked Robe using Salk's work as an inspiration... as such, after getting permission from Constantinople33 and the fact Effixan stated in his readme that users can use his Qel-Droma Robe with credit, I have merged the Lore-Friendly Qel-Droma Robe with Effixan's Qel-Droma Robes Reskin mod. Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs, but if there any please report them on Deadlystream.com Incompatibilities: Report any unknown incompatibilities to me on Deadlystream.com Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission. To use Constantinople33's texture in your mod, please ASK HIM for permission as it is his original work! Thanks: Constantinople33: For making the original Lore-Friendly Qel-Droma Robes! Effixan: For creating his own Qel-Droma Cloaked Robe texture which was used in this mod! Salk: The one responsible for the design of the Qel-Droma Cloaked Robes! Bioware: For such an amazing game Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool And everyone who downloads the mod! While working on the K1CP I discovered that there are actually three different Sith soldier textures. There's the red and the silver that we're all used to, but there's also a white one that is unused. This restores the white texture into the game. You have the option to either make the standard troopers white and the elite/command troopers silver, or vice-versa. INSTALL: Run the installer and select either Main OR Alternate. I recommend installing this AFTER the KOTOR 1 Community Patch and JC's Korriban: Back in Black if you use them. PERMISSION: I give anyone permission to do whatever the heck they want with this, whether or not they give me credit. (Although credit is always nice, y'know?) -

*********************************** Knights of the Old Republic *********************************** TITLE: Ebon Hawk Camera Replacement AUTHOR: LDR FILENAME: ebon_hawk_camera FILESIZE: 3 KB -------------------------- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS -------------------------- Simply put the 2da file and the vis file into the Override folder in the KotOR directory. To uninstall, remove the 2da file and the vis file from the Override folder in the KotOR directory. ------------ Permissions ------------ You may not use any assets of this mod in your own mod without first contacting me (and Darth Parametric). ------------ DESCRIPTION ------------ Changes the Ebon Hawk camera to where it reduces the zoom on the player, akin to the "default" camera. ----- BUGS ----- None I hope. If you find any please post them in the comments. I will address them as soon as I can. -------------- COMPATABILITY -------------- So long as there isn't another mod that makes edits to the camerastyle.2da or m12aa.vis, there shouldn't be any mod conflicts with K1R or any other KotOR 1 mod. Note: there will be a hard incompatibility with any other mod that edits the m12aa.vis file. It can only be resolved with manual merging, since TSLPatcher doesn't allow for dynamic patching of VIS files (or LYTs). ------- Credits ------- Darth Parametric for his m12aa.vis file that fixed an issue where some Ebon Hawk rooms weren't visible due to the increased camera radius. Fred Tetra for his very useful KotOR Tool. Fair Strides. All of you who downloaded this mod! Thank You! -

Summary This mod adjusts the wearable Mandalorian armor items to make their appearances consistent with that of other Mandalorians in the game and to fix various other oddities associated with them. The main part of the mod concerns the Class 9 Mandalorian armors (Mandalorian Battle Armor, Mandalorian Heavy Armor, and Mandalorian Assault Armor). These items will now follow the usual blue/red/gold ranking system. There are two options for this: With Option A, the armors use the Class 9 model. Mandalorian Heavy Armor and Mandalorian Assault Armor are given new textures, recolored red and gold variants of the Mandalorian Battle Armor. With Option B, the armors act as disguise items, giving the wearer one of the NPC Mandalorian appearances. Both options also include the following: Class 9 Mandalorian armors have new icons to match their appearance with each option Class 8 Mandalorian Armor has a new icon with the correct appearance (previously it looked purple) The Mandalorian helmet plot items have new icons to match their appearances (previously they were both blue, even though neither was dropped by a blue Mandalorian) The Mandalorian Commander on Kashyyyk drops Mandalorian Heavy Armor to match his red appearance (also, I believe this item couldn’t be found anywhere in the game before) Finally, there is a third Extra Textures option with texture overrides for the NPC Mandalorians (and disguise appearances). They tone down the shaders a bit, matching what I did with my Shader Fixes for K2. They can be installed alongside Option A or B. Installation Run Mandalorian_Armor_K1.exe. Select which version to install. a) With Option A, Class 9 Mandalorian armors are recolored to match their usual ranking system (blue/red/gold). b) With Option B, Class 9 Mandalorian armors act as disguise items, giving the wearer one of the NPC Mandalorian appearances (blue/red/gold) with full body armor. Click "Install Mod" and select your game directory (default name SWKOTOR). The Extra Textures can be installed alongside either Option A or B. If you want to install these, run the EXE again, select the Extra Textures option, then install to your game directory as before. Uninstallation Remove the installed files or replace from backups if necessary. Compatibility This mod replaces the unused PFBH07/PMBH07 texture variations and uses plot usable item variation 111. Some users have experienced side effects after prolonged exposure to disguise items. It may result in a character's appearance being permanently changed. There is no confirmed prevention method at this time, but it can be treated via editing the save game file. If Option A is installed, it will overwrite any other alterations to the Mandalorian Assault Armor. Currently, TSLPatcher cannot remove nodes from files, so a hard edit was necessary to remove the disguise property. Permissions I hereby grant nobody except myself permission to upload some or all of this mod anywhere for any reason. For any reason. If you would like to include any part of this mod in anything, then please contact me for permission. ======================================================== KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC SOURCE FILE ======================================================== New_Lightsaber_Blade_Model_K1_v1 ================================= Author: Crazy34 Contact: PM me on Deadlystream For: K1 Date: 03/02/2021 ================================= DESCRIPTION: The vanilla lightsaber blades in Kotor and TSL look bad in my opinion. So, I tried to improve them by adding a dynamic ambient light to the blade (environmental lightning), which works quite well. Since this is hard-coded in the model I also optimized the blade plane models to have a different UV layout inspired by Sithspecter's work. I also simplified their geometry and fixed the different brightness bug (different brightness of the blade when viewed from the front compared to the back). Additionally, I included 3D models for the core of the blade and the inner glow of the blade, which can now be used to create black core sabers as seen in SWTOR. The glow - as well as the models - are fully animated to work as the vanilla blades. The hilts are updated together with the blades including hilts from Kaidon Jorn's SLM 2.0 mod. Summary: - All saber hilts are updated with hilts from Kaidon Jorn SLM 2.0 mod (I love it!) All credits for the hilt models, textures and icons go fully to him! - Ambient light for lightsabers - 3D models for blade core and inner glow - Symmetric lightsaber blade planes with a modified version of Sithspecter's crossguard saber UV layout. (Compatible with his unstable textures also included with all credits going to Sithspecter.) - Black core sabers are possible - Homogeneous brightness of the blade (no more “brighter blades when viewed from the front” happening any more) - All sabers are fully upgradeable (added black core and unstable crystals as well as crossguard versions of them) How to use the new lightsabers: Get the black core, unstable and crossguard sabers or crystals by cheating them by using the giveitem command or use KSE to include them in your inventory. The item codes are organized as follows: Lightsaber and crystal follow the standard naming scheme: Black core: 51-60 Unstable: 21-30 Crossguard: 101-110 Crossguard, black core: 111-120 Crossguard, unstable: 91-100 For example: giveitem u_l_colo_51 (Blue, Black core crystal) giveitem u_l_colo_92 (Red, unstable crossguard crystal) giveitem g_w_lghtsbr118 (Viridian, crossguard unstable lightsaber) giveitem g_w_dblsbr025 (Purple, unstable double blade lightsaber) giveitem g_w_shortsbr53 (Green, black core short lightsaber) For the TSL colors such as Viridian, Silver, and Bronze; you can get the crystals with the following giveitem codes. giveitem u_l_colo_07 (Silver) giveitem u_l_colo_09 (Viridian) giveitem u_l_colo_10 (Bronze) !!!! Important: If you put a crossguard crystal in either a short lightsaber or double blade lightsaber the crystal will be transformed into its normal non crossguard version! I HOPE that in the future some talented texture artist will create better looking blade textures using these new blade models. I plan to upload a Modders Resource explaining the blade system in detail. CREDITS: Kaidon Jorn: Lightsaber Hilts models and textures and icons are created by Kaidon Jorn and taken from his SLM 2.0 mod, which you can find here: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/551-schematic-lightsaber-mod-slm/ Thank you very much for the permission to use your models and hilts here. They are amazing and I enjoyed working with them. Sithspecter: The new layout for the lightsaber blades plane models are inspired by Sithspecter's animated Crossguard Lightsabers mod for KOTOR which can be found here: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1314-crossguard-lightsabers/ Thank you very much for the permission to include your animated unstable blade texture and to modified them to include the new TSL colors. ___________________________________________________________ COMPATIBILITY: It should pretty much be compatible with any mod that doesn't use the same crystal and lightsaber model slots. However, please notify me in the release thread if any bugs do appear that are not listed below.) ___________________________________________________________ INSTALLATION: Use the TSLPatcher multiple times. You can choose which lightsabers you want. So, for example say you are only interested in the normal saber update and the related crossguard sabers: Then install the standard saber first and second run the TSLpatcher again and install the crossguard sabers. The crossguard sabers require to have their related non-crossguard sabers installed first. The TSLPatcher is set up to only install a certain part of the mod and requires multiple runs to install all sabers. It should install everything correctly. UNINSTALL: Navigate to the backup folder and place the contents into the Override folder. Remove all files from the tslpatchdata folder of this mod from your override folder. ___________________________________________________________ BUGS: The tip of the blade has a spike which comes from a deformation of the lightsaber planes. This is also present in the original model. I was not able to find a fix. (Sorry about that.) The lightsaber hilts will clip through the blades. (Unfortunately, DarthParametric has said that it is not possible to fix this.) ___________________________________________________________ PERMISSIONS: You may use this mod as you see fit. Display it in screenshots, make it compatible with your mod. However, do please give credit where it's due, and DO NOT release it with any of your mods without my permission. If you have any ideas for improvements, or if you want to you can mod them yourselves and include them in the mod. Saves me time and I'll give you credit for what I put in. ___________________________________________________________ THANKS: Fred Tetra: All the thanks for KotOR Tool. TK102: All the thanks for K-GFF. ndix UR: All the thanks for the kotorblender plugin, which I used to create the blade 3d models. bead-v: All the thanks for Mdledit and constantly updating it. Without it this mod would not be possible. Thanks also for the comments on the ascii code. Kaidon Jorn: All the thanks for giving me the permission for using the hilts textures and icons. With these included this is a real mod. Thank you so much. Sithspecter: All the thanks for giving me the permission to include his animated blade textures and to modify them. Also i want to thank you for inspiring me to start modding KOTOR in the first place. Jorak Uln: All the thanks for the constant feedback, suggestions and beta testing of the preliminary versions of the mod. JCarter426: I want to thank him for providing information regarding lights in KOTOR and the documentation. DarthParametric: I want to thank him for answering all my questions and being so helpful when creating and tuning of the models. Sith Holocron: For minor proofreading of the mod documents. For the initial feedback on the ambient light, I want to thank: DarthVarkor, Stormie97, ebmar. Also, I want to thank all the modders out there whose work I've consistently studied and learned from. ___________________________________________________________ LEGAL: THIS MODIFICATION IS PROVIDED AS-IS AND IS NOT SUPPORTED BY BIOWARE/OBSIDIAN ENTERTAINMENT, LUCASARTS, DISNEY OR ANY LICENSERS/SPONSORS OF THE MENTIONED COMPANIES. In the vanilla version of the game there was a quest on Manaan which inolved you becoming a lawyer for an ex-Republic soldier who had supposedly murdered a Sith. This, if you followed it far enough, would eventually lead you to investigating around the embassies of both the Republic and the Sith. When you found some evidence, it was presented in the form of text, though referred to as a video by said text. I have taken this text and turned it into a video (a cutscene) showing the events which the text described. -

Summary Throughout the game, there are cutscenes of the player sleeping and having Force visions to further the plot. This mod fixes two things about those scenes that bothered me. First, the first of these scenes is supposed to happen in the party's apartment on Taris, but is quite clearly set on the Ebon Hawk like all the other scenes. I've edited the area used for the visions to put in a copy of the apartment to make the location consistent. Second, the scenes show the player wearing whatever item they happened to have equipped when the scene started. So the player would routinely sleep in their clothing, even armor. This mod issues a minor improvement for Lashowe's and Shaleena's heads in KOTOR so that the upper teeth are no longer hidden while talking. Shaleena's head will not be affected by this mod unless you are using KOTOR 1 Restoration, K1 NPC Overhaul, or any other mod that restores her unique appearance. Installation & Uninstallation To install this mod, drag the files in 'Override' to the override folder located in your game's directory. To uninstall this mod, delete the files listed at the end of readme.rtf from your game's override folder. This mod intends to address key issues with male Twi'lek heads in KOTOR I. The main improvements are the addition of ears and slimming down on the Bib Fortuna necks. Other tweaks include better smoothing groups, fixed teeth and eyelids, and recolored tongues. The ears were created using modified assets ported from SWTOR. There's two options for installation. Option A uses the slim necks, while Option B retains the original necks. I highly recommend the first option as it fixes clipping with collars on heavy armor and it's the main choice for other mods which use my files. Given the frequency of Twi'lek NPCs, this mod's a nice visual improvement that adds a much-needed element of consistency with other humanoid head models in the game. The KOTOR II can be found here. Installation & Uninstallation To install this mod, run Installer.exe, select the option you want, and proceed with the installation. To uninstall this mod, run the installer again, select the same option, and click Tools -> Uninstall Mod / Restore Backup. Compatibility & Known Issues This mod isn't compatible with any retextures of male Twi'lek heads unless that mod states otherwise. This mod has built-in compatibility with the K1 Community Patch and is also compatible with the K1 NPC Overhaul Mod. Either should be installed prior to installing this mod. I've given permission for this mod to be included in a few other projects. Be sure to check the descriptions of those mods to see if you need to install this first. Based on this request thread, this mod replaces the Jedi captive placeables used in the final confrontation with Darth Malak aboard the Star Forge. In the vanilla version of the game, these are all identical copies of the same male body using the PMHC04 (“Mullet Man”) head. New male and female versions of this placeable have been made, utilising a variety of heads from all three human races, and Twi’leks. All eight captives in the level are now unique and distinct from one another. Additionally, the flavour pop-up text for when you interact with the captives has been altered to change the male pronouns into neutral ones, so they work regardless of the subject’s gender. For those that wish it, an optional extra is included that adds these new Jedi as background NPCs to the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine (N.B. as of v1.1, the pictured sparring circle has been removed due to the placeables.2da row limit bug described below). Known Issues: WARNING: A critical issue has been discovered with K1's placeables.2da, limiting the number of additional new entires that can be added to around 20 rows. This mod adds 8 rows. If you use multiple mods that add new rows to placeables.2da, you will likely encounter issues. DO NOT REINSTALL THIS MOD OVER A PREVIOUS VERSION! You will create the placeable overflow issue. In order for the Dantooine portion of the optional extra to take effect, you must use a save prior to leaving Taris. The courtyard portion will only take effect for saves prior to being allowed to exit the Academy. These additions are purely cosmetic, so their absence will have no material affect on the primary purpose of the mod. The core content of the mod will only work with a save prior to entering the final room on the Star Forge, but I assume (hope) most people aren't still installing mods that late in proceedings. Compatibility: The mod is compatible with K1CP. Make sure you install K1CP first. The core content of the mod should be compatible with most other mods, as the changes are restricted to the second-last module in the game (STA_M45AD). The optional content makes changes to the Dantooine Enclave's landing pad (DANM13) and courtyard (DANM14AA) modules. If you are using any mod that overwrites those modules (like Kainzorus Prime's NPC Overhaul Mod), make sure you install that mod first. This mod will patch its changes into pre-existing module files, so should be installed last. Changes in 1.2.1 should mean the Twi'lek master in the optional Dantooine content is now impervious to further hostile robe takeover attempts. If you use @JCarter426's "Fashion Line I - Cloaked Jedi Robes for K1" mod, you can download the supplied compatibility patch to have him wear the TSL robes. If you use @JCarter426's "Fashion Line I - Cloaked Hybrid Robes for K1" mod, you can download the supplied compatibility patch to have him wear the hybrid robes. Acknowledgements: Thanks to @Kexikus for providing code for the NPC OnHeartbeat scripts. Thanks to @jc2 for the suggestion on how to fix the sparring circle combatant health bars. Thanks to @JCarter426 for suggesting the NotReorienting creature flag and for the TSL ported robe assets. Thanks to @bead-v for KOTORMax and MDLEdit. Thanks to @ndix UR for MDLOps v1.0+ and TGA2TPC. Thanks to @StellarExile for pointing out the issue with VFX targeting the base of the model. I must be blind... Thanks to @todevuch for testing the hybrid robes compatibility patch. Thanks to @olegkuz1997 for pointing out that the placeables didn't use TLK StrRefs for their labels. Thanks to @Alice Reyneke for pointing out that pathfinding for the placeables was broken by a previous update. -

This mod replaces the vanilla and/or the installed Republic Soldier texture with the new shade-specularity tweaked version. # Background # The way I see it; the vanilla and/or already present Republic Soldier texture lacks some shading and reflection particularly on its trim, so I thought adding ones would somehow enhance its appearance. # About this Mod # Inside this mod are 6 options of new shade and specularity tweaked Republic Soldier texture in TPC format: [Main] New Shade for Male NPC Republic Soldier [Option-1] Vanilla version for JC's "Republic Soldier Fix for K1" - Male and Female * [Option-2] Vanilla Version Model - Female NPC Republic Soldier [Option-3] New Shade for JC's "Republic Soldier Uniform for PC" - Male and Female * [Option-4] Vanilla version for JC's "Republic Soldier Uniform for PC" - Male and Female * [Option-5] New Shade for JC's "Republic Soldier Fix for K1" - Male and Female NPC Republic Soldier * * Option 1, 3, 4 and 5 requires JCarter426/JC's "JC's Republic Soldier Fix for K1" to be installed first. # Final Remarks # There's always room for improvements - critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks for the next update are much appreciated - PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! The main purpose of this mod is to fix many of the party models that have uvw errors. Some of these errors may be too small to see in-game, but most become glaring when using some of the HD texture mods here on this site. The only HD texture that I have included here, is for Bastila Shan's head model (P_BastilaH04) which is now 2048x2048 pixels. I have tried to remain true to her original look. The models that I have fixed, and are included, are: default clothes models for Bastila Shan Canderous Ordo Carth Onasi Jolee Bindo Juhani Mission Vao HK-47's whole body model head models for Bastila and Carth HD head texture for Bastila head texture for Jolee (to fix the mustache) two additional clothes textures for Carth Each of these character's files can be used separately, so that the user has the option of mixing and matching with other mods. Many of the screenshots are animated with before/after scenes that flip every 7 seconds. There are included text files with much more detail as to what has been fixed in each. There are also a few files included that other modders can use for helping their own texture mods (some uvw maps and a few Photoshop psd files with multiple layers already separated). -

This mod makes some alterations to the arena in the Taris Upper City cantina. The primary change is the removal of the original low quality crowd sprites. In the vanilla game these are VFX nodes. It appears that Bioware's original intention was for these to be animated, but that was likely disabled due to performance issues on the Xbox. Subsequently, most of the sprites are lacking arms. Another issue is the scaling. The sprites are completely out of scale with the rest of the game world, appearing to be about half the height of an average human. This was possibly an attempt to skew the perspective, an attempt to make the arena look bigger than it actually is. The original sprites have been completely removed in favour of better quality crowd sprites ported from The Old Republic. Additionally, the bays housing the crowd have been resized in order to fit proper human-sized figures. To comply with recent local ordinance changes, transparisteel safety screens have been fitted for the crowd’s protection. Other minor changes include some texture swaps on the roof section and a dummy door model to hide some unsightly fog on the original. Additionally, players participating in duels should now correctly face their opponent, and give an alignment-specific emote when they are announced. Opponents will now politely wait until their name is announced before giving their little fist pump. After some complaints by their union about a lack of proper medical services, defeated opponents are now healed back to full health post-match rather than being left to limp around. The view screens in the cantina have been upgraded to have a dynamic display of the current arena rankings. These will change as the player progresses up the ranks. The placeable computer screens have all had their positions adjusted so that they properly contact the walls they are supposed to be mounted to, and to align them with one another. Ajuur the Hutt’s dialogue has also had some minor surgery performed on it, to better deal with player and party positioning. Carth should now properly face Ajuur and the player during his relevant interjections, and won't be replying from across the room. N.B. - Because alterations are made to the module's GIT file, the mod requires a save before entering the Upper City cantina for the first time. It is thus best suited for a new game. If you load a save after having entered, none of the screens will line up properly with the computer placeables. Known Issues: If you initiate a conversation with Ajuur while the party is standing in the corner with the medpac bin, you will likely see them jump out of frame as they are moved to their now scripted fixed positions directly in front of the Hutt. That's an unfortunate consequence of the way it was handled, but the camera angle should mask the transition from pretty much anywhere else. Acknowledgements Thanks to @bead-v for MDLEdit Thanks to @ndix UR for TGA2TPC Special thanks to @JCarter426 for helping with some scripting, particularly extended troubleshooting of the Ajuur party positioning script Thanks to @Salk for alerting me to the TSLPatcher problem with v1.0 Thanks to @A Future Pilot for pointing me to the fixed version of TSLPatcher Thanks to @Publicola for informing me about the ability to click through announcement animations Some screenshots feature @Sithspecter's High Quality Blasters The video features @ndix UR's KOTOR High Resolution Menus Crowd and glass textures ported from The Old Republic MMO -

Here's another bit of scrap from my junk pile that someone may find a use for. A little while back I made some thigh-high boots for Bastila when Quanon was working on her Taris prisoner outfit. He didn't end up using them, so I tossed them into the abyss with my other rejects. The other day I was looking at the female Twi'lek body models for some reason, and I noticed that (the base version at least) has painted on thigh-high boots. On a whim, I imported my boot mesh and noted that, height-wise, they lined up almost perfectly. Even more interestingly, my UVs were very close in layout to the Twi'lek's legs, so much so that is was fairly trivial to rejig them to fit the existing textures. In practice I'm not sure how much purpose this serves, as from a distance it's basically impossible to tell the difference between painted on boots and my physically modelled boots, at least using vanilla textures, but I figured someone might find some use for it. Because the vanilla female Twi'lek model has existing animations (dancing), I have provided a hex edited copy of the original which is now used as the supermodel. That way the booted variant is a simple Override drop-in with no 2DA editing required. I have also provided some additional versions suitable for use as player bodies that use the regular S_Female03 supermodel, as well as being scaled to large, medium, and small. I've supplied modified versions for those variation textures that don't have boot textures. There is also an optional variant of the base green variation which has black boots instead of red. The intent of course, given how terrible the vanilla textures are, is that someone will release a proper high quality retextured version, but the NPC portion is useable out of the box if people so desire. You are free to incorporate the contents of this mod into your own work, as long as proper credit is provided. Do not redistribute the mod by itself. -

Description This mod aims to completely change Juhani's appearance and to bring it close to artist Corbin Hunter's redesign of the character. As a result, her head has been significantly reshaped and slightly retextured. An all-new body model was created and hand-painted from scratch. A new custom lightsaber has been created as well. As several aspects of Juhani have been changed, this mod has been divided into four editions to accomodate the final user's preferences: 1. An All-in-one edition which includes all the changes to bring her close to Corbin Hunter's vision of the character. 2. A head-only edition, which only includes Juhani's revamped head. 3. A body and lightsaber edition, which includes her new body model and lightsaber. 4. Finally, a head and lightsaber edition, which includes her new head model and lightsaber. Please refer to the included images in the 'Editions reference pictures' folder included in the archive to help you determine your preferred edition. Installation 1. Extract the archive's content somewhere on your computer. 2. Double-click the "Juhani Appearance Overhaul.exe" file. 3. Choose an edition to install. Refer to the images included in the 'Editions reference pictures' folder to determine which one you prefer. 4. Click on the "Install Now" button once you're ready. The installer will try to locate your game installation directory. If it can't find it on its own, direct the installer to the correct location. 5. The installer will proceed to install the mod's files into your Override folder. Once it's finished, you may exit the installer and launch the game. IMPORTANT If you choose an edition that includes Juhani's new body model and lightsaber: Juhani will have her new items only if you are using a save that is prior to the moment she joins your party right before leaving Daantoine. If you are past that point in your playthrough, she won't have her new items. You can get them using KSE or via entering the following commands in the in-game console: ⦁ giveitem j_juhsaber01 ⦁ giveitem j_juhbody01 CREDITS Original design by Corbin Hunter: Artstation link This mod uses JC’s TSL Supermodel port in order to animate the skirt. This mod changes the visual effects for all the laser blasts in the game. Energy blasters, ion blasters, disruptors, bowcasters - I've replaced them all. Except sonic, because really, sonic? In general, I've added more detail and made them match what's depicted on film as best as I could, when there was a visual reference. I took screenshots of the movies and got out my eyedropper tool and everything. The cores of the lasers are brighter so they look more like lasers, instead of having the whole thing as one flat color. I also messed around with light objects so each laser will illuminate surrounding objects in the appropriate color. For disruptors, I've included three color options: white, green, and yellow. The default install is white, like the original, and the other two are included as optional things. -

Summary Almost everybody on Korriban wears the standard bland Sith officer uniform. This mod alters the look of almost everybody on the planet so they're dressed more appropriately. Czerka workers wear Czerka uniforms, Sith troopers wear Sith armor, Dark Jedi wear Dark Jedi robes. While I was going through all the files I noticed some other oddities and corrected them – things like missing items or misplaced files. See the change log for a full list of changes. Installation Note: It is recommended that you uninstall any previous versions of this mod before installing a new version. Extract files from the downloaded archive. Run Korriban_Back_in_Black_K1.exe. Select which version to install. If you have the KOTOR Community Patch installed, choose the KOTOR Community Patch-Compatible Installation option. Otherwise, choose the Basic Installation option. Click "Install Mod" and select your game directory (default name SWKOTOR). There are additional options for Uthar, Yuthura, and Tariga that you may install after the rest of the mod is installed. Uninstallation Remove the installed files or replace from backups if necessary. Compatibility This mod may be compatible with but will overwrite other mods that alter the appearance or equipment of characters on Korriban. It's safest not to use it with any other mod that alters the same characters. Some of the changes will take effect immediately, but for best results you should install this mod before visiting Korriban for the first time in your game. This mod alters the (frankly terrible) holograms used in the cutscenes prior to boarding the Star Forge at the end of KOTOR to bring them more in to line with the style seen in the movies and TSL. For some unknown reason, Bioware decided to go with a weird texture-based approach that simultaneously looks both horrible and nothing like how Star Wars holograms are typically depicted. Before: After: Changes: Admiral Dodonna hologram model completely replaced with a new one based on her regular appearance. No longer has incorrect mirrored torso UVs. Dodonna model split into sub-meshes for optimal hierarchical occlusion. Vandar model given some mesh tweaks to remove some intersection issues. Models now use mesh-based transparency rather than additive texture blending. Custom keyframes added to animations to facilitate mesh-based alpha approach and added meshes. New animated textures for Vandar and Dodonna created based on their regular appearance textures. Minor alteration to one shot during the DS cutscene to prevent Dodonna leaping out of frame while Vandar is speaking. Known Issues: Because meshes do not self-occlude, there are some artefacts during certain shots. For example, seeing the neck through the chin. [K1] Temple Main Floor - Missing Lamps Fix Lights are always nice in a dark places. Though it'd be nicer to know where it came from... What Happened? Inside the Temple Main Floor, there are rooms with source of lights that comes from nowhere. I was terrified... thought at first they're missing the GIT reference for the placeables, appears they're not, as they're not placeables. With second thought, perhaps they're missing their render flag? Again, no lamp meshes with the room model as pointed by DarthParametric. Apparently, they are missing their lamps which caused by missing references for the objects. In essence, the lamp is not part of the room model nor a placeable, instead a reference model called by the room's. What Does This Mod Do? This mod adds the missing reference for the lamps to four of the rooms inside the Temple Main Floor module. Optionally, it can also readjust the facing point of two Rune Covered Pillars inside one of the room, which I think could improve the aesthetics and immersion that's missing from the original setup. Here's a before-and-after screenshots of what this mod mainly does - And the optional that readjust the pillars' facing point - What Can You Do? There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. This mod replace the default Ajunta Pall's Blade appearance with the "Legends" rendition. # Background # The blade of the fallen, Ajunta Pall's Blade - I have always thought about something that is dark-enigmatic about the blade after hearing those words, so this project was started to accommodate the idea. # About this Mod # This mod replace the default Ajunta Pall's Blade appearance with the "Legends" rendition. The new blade is using the amazing IRobert's [K1] Vibroweapons replacement pack retexture base texture and model, which having that science-fantasy feeling to its design and concept. I edited them later particularly on coloring and scheming to match my interpretation of the blade. IRobert gave permission for everyone to freely use, change or modify the mod with *redistribution* policies applies. * With v1.0.2 included the model fix kindly provided by the infamous Dark Lord of the Sith, DarthParametric. It's a fix for holes in the meshes of the hilt which causes artefacts with the shadow casting. The new blade trying to fits the concept of the true Ajunta Pall's blade, which described as - Those features can be seen on the blade now. # Final Remarks # I suggest you to install VarsityPuppet's Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance first and then install this mod after. This mod aims to complete the Ajunta Pall's personal items part. There's always room for improvements - critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks for the next update are much appreciated - PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. This mod replaces the 2D billboard holograms used in the Twisted Rancor Trio puzzle in the Taris Lower City Apartments with full 3D holograms, coloured blue like in the movies (and TSL). Also fixes some missing sound effects that were intended to play when activating each hologram. You may also be interested in my Movie-Style Rakatan Holograms and Movie-Style Holograms for Endgame Cutscenes mods. Changes: Replaces Bith 2D sprite with four separate animated 3D Bith models, each with a different instrument Replaces singer 2D sprite with animated 3D model (two different anims) with semi-custom texture to look like the original Adds emitter VFX Only switch emitter light on when activated instead of always on Repairs broken activation sound effects Known Issues: Because meshes do not self-occlude, there are some artefacts when viewing from certain angles. Requires a save before entering the Taris Lower City Apartments (East) for the first time due to GIT changes. This mod replaces the model used for the Rakatan hologram to bring it more in-line with the style seen in the movies and TSL. It also now has lipsync, unlike the original model. Additionally, the placeable Rakatan holo statue has been changed, swapping the original 2D billboard for a 3D model, and again bringing the appearance in-line with other holograms. As of v1.1, the hologram in the Elder's compound has now been moved above the computer to an added hologram projector rather than standing in the hallway, and the static camera reoriented to suit. As of v1.2, a hologram has been added to the computer in the Temple Catacombs. Note that changes to this scene probably mean the mod is no longer compatible with K1R. Video of it in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWPjUp_8Ax0 To install, run INSTALL.exe. Known Issues: During testing a crash was discovered during the Kashyyyk Star Map sequence. I believe this has been completely resolved, but if you encounter any such issues then you may need to add the "Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1" line under [Graphics Options] in swkotor.ini The original holo statue uses a billboard VFX which always faces the camera. As such, the directional facing of the placeable is irrelevant. The switch to a 3D model results in a static facing, I set this to match the facing of the placeables used in the South Beach Elder's compound, but if this placeable is used elsewhere it may end up facing the wrong direction. If anyone spots such a case, let me know in the comments. Acknowledgements: Thanks to @bead-v for KOTORMax and MDLEdit, and for figuring out the skin vs trimesh hierarchy alpha crash issue. Thanks to @ndix UR for TGA2TPC. Thanks to @JCarter426 and @jc2 for undertaking some testing to confirm the crash issue. Thanks to @EbonHawkStowaway999 for informing me about the Catacombs walkmesh error. -

Bastila's Dark Bodysuit by Revanator, Quanon, and A Future Pilot Contact: Contact Revanator on DeadlyStream or email at ethan.wookie@gmail.com. About: This mod adds a special robe for Bastila to wear when you meet her on Lehon (the Unknown World). It's a black-and-gray variant of her standard attire. Its stats are of a slightly beefed Qel-Droma robes to give her some nice bonuses while remaining very balanced. She will be wearing it when you meet her on top of the temple, and when (if you go Dark Side) she rejoins your party. Quanon did the texture for it in the style of his K1 party member retextures. Highly recommended that you also install his Bastila Shan HQ retexture. Otherwise this will look a bit out of place. Installation: Run Install.exe and choose your options. Uninstallation: Delete P_BastilaBB02.mdl, .mdx, .tga, .txi, and .uti from Override, and sta_m45aa.mod, sta_m45ac.mod, unk_m44ac.mod, STUNT_44.mod, and STUNT_55a.mod from the Modules folder. Also delete p_bastilla.utc from Override if you used the "Gain on Taris" option. If you used the replacement option, just delete p_bastilabb01.tga, and .txi from Override. Compatibilty: Should be compatabile with every mod that does not edit Bastila's utcs. If you install the "replace standard clothes" option, it will override any other mods for Bastila's clothes. Credits: Fred Tetra for KotOR Tool BioWare for this fantastic game Quanon (again) for being super helpful and creating this beautiful texture A Future Pilot for the TSLPatcher Install jc2 for bug testing -

Security spikes are disposable items that give the player a temporary boost to their Security skill when activated, helping them pick more difficult locks. At least, that's how it's supposed to be. That's how they work on the Xbox version, and in KOTOR 2, but security spikes don't actually do anything at all on the PC version of KOTOR 1. The cause seems to be some sort of bug in the GUI that prevents security spikes from ever appearing in their intended slot. So when interacting with a door, there isn't an option to scroll from the Security skill to security spikes, as there is in KOTOR 2. The GUI was changed for the port from Xbox to PC, and security spikes probably got left out due to oversight. I couldn't find any way to resolve the issue, though, so I came up with two alternative options. Option A Option A replicates the security spikes' intended function as best as I could manage. They’ve been given an activate item property and appear in the non-medical item slot (along with stimulants and shields). When a character activates a security spike, they receive a temporary boost to their Security skill and proceed to unlock the nearest door or container. Apart from the boost, the skill check for the lock is the same as usual: 1d20 + Security vs. the lock’s DC. Security spikes are single-use and discarded whether the character succeeds in picking the lock or not; however, they are not used up if the attempt was impossible – if there wasn’t anything in range or the lock required a special keycard, for example. Regular security tunnelers grant a +5 bonus and security spike tunnelers grant a +10 bonus. Option B Option B removes security spikes from the game, replacing them with credits. The value is equivalent to the most you could get from selling the original security spike items to a merchant. Mission’s ability to create security spikes on the Ebon Hawk is removed. -

K1 Movie-Style Jedi Master Robes A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 1.1.0 Release Date: 16.02.2022 Installation: Version 1.1.0 adds another variant of the K1 Movie-Style Jedi Master Robes mod, you can now pick between the original "Replace ALL Jedi Robes" variant or the brand new "Replace the Master Robes ONLY" variant. You can only pick ONE variant, you CANNOT have both. * How to install "Replace ALL Jedi Robes" variant. Install JC's Fashion Line I: Cloaked Jedi Robes for K1 1.4 mod first (This mod REQUIRES Cloaked Jedi Robes for K1 to work properly): https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1378-jcs-fashion-line-i-cloaked-jedi-robes-for-k1/ Once you've installed JC's mod, copy the contents of the "For Override" folder and paste it into your swkotor Override folder, overwrite files if necessary. * How to install "Replace Jedi Master Robes ONLY" variant. JC's Cloaked Jedi Robes is NOT required for this variant to work, however, if you do choose to install JC's mod (Or any Jedi Robe mod) then it is recommended to install them BEFORE this variant (And DON’T install the gloveless version of JC’s Cloaked Robes for this one either!). I personally recommend you install the Kotor Prequel Replacement Mod by Kainzorus Prime: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/412-kotor-prequel-robe-replacement/ The way this variant works is that it replaces the Revan Robes 2DA slot with the Movie-Style Robes, this allows players to use the Prequel Replacement mod/JC's Cloaked Jedi Robes or even the vanilla Jedi Robe model ALONGSIDE the Movie-Style Jedi Master Robes. To install this variant, double click the TSLPatcher.exe and let the TSLPatcher do its magic! Afterwards, you can also install "Revan patch" to replace the Star Forge/Revan Robes with disguise items that convert the player into Revan, this is a temporary fix until a proper fix can be made in the future. Description: This mod is a K1 port of DeadMan's "Movie-style Jedi Master robes 1.5" mod from TSL. In version 1.1.0, the robe textures are styled as they are in vanilla (Padawan, Knight and Masters robes all having the same Brown, Blue, Red or Black color). This might change in later versions of the mod depending on the demand for such. The Qel-Droma Robes recieve a unique texture whilst the Revan/Star Forge Robes do not. If you chose the gloveless installation for JC's Cloaked Jedi Robes mod, then the K1 Movie-Style Jedi Master Robes shall also be gloveless. In version 1.1.0, an alternative installation was added. This installation can be found within "Replace Jedi Master Robes ONLY" and will only give the Jedi Master Robe items a unique Movie-Style Jedi Master Robe model whereas the Jedi Robe/Jedi Knight Robes maintain their vanilla models unscathed. If you install JC's Cloaked Jedi Robes or the Kotor Prequel Replacement Mod beforehand, you could have TSL Padawan robes or Prequel Replacement Robes alongside the Movie-Style JEdi Master Robes! Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream. Incompatibilities: Would be incompatible with any mods which: * Alter the Jedi robe texture and/or models. ("Replace ALL Jedi Robes") * Alter the Revan robe texture, models and/or the 2DA slot ("Replace Jedi Master Robes ONLY") * Use S_Female and S_Male files (unless the other mods utilize JCarter's Supermodel Port assets. These edits are necessary to give the player supermodels the bones required for the cloaks to animate.) Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission. If you'd like to use assets from DeadMan's mods then he has given permission to every modder to do so, you'll need to ask permission for anything made by Kainzorus Prime. Thanks to: DeadMan for making the original mod for K2 HapSlash for the awesome ep3 Obi-Wan and Anakin models which he made for Jedi Academy Spanki for some great textures which are partially used in this mod Don Kain for allowing DeadMan to include his Movie Jedi Robes Kainzorus Prime for allowing me to use assets from his Prequel Replacement mod for the textures of this mod Bioware for such an amazing game Stoffee for TSLPatcher Fred Tetra for Kotor Tool and everyone who downloads the mod. Random HD UI Elements by Sdub Version: 1.0 Description: Firstly, While using the HD UI Mod, I noticed there was quite a few things in it that were not HD and looked quite awful. One being the planet icons, and two being the party selection screenshot of the character on the right side. I decided to try and at least do something about this. For the party selection screen I took screencaps from the the game itself with high resolution textures made by ShiningRedHD's mod on the nexus https://www.nexusmods.com/kotor/mods/1282 Then proceeded to upscale them, this is the result. All characters images are from the waist up as best I could, HK47 was especially tricky. I did not do T3M4 as @Dark Hope created one for his HD Astromech Mod that is vastly superior to mine. I made one creative decision with: I also attempted to do Trask, it looks awful. But He's there, for some reason his texture does not apply correctly on the stats screen. It is like this even in the default image. Secondly, I had an idea to make new planet icons, upscaling was not successful, and creating my own looked absolutely awful. So after speaking with @Effix and showing him my trial and errors, it inspired him to create some that he told me to put in this pack with his blessing. Installation: Locate the folder of which you want to install and then place files in override folder. Uninstallation: Delete files that you placed in your override Compatibility: As long as you are you are using @ndix UR 's High resolution menus I do not see you having any problems. I do not know how it would look without it to be honest. I made these with 16:9 in mind. I do not know how they will do in other resolutions. Feel free to let me know. JC2 Improved Grenades The idea has been around for a while, but I haven't seen a mod, other than FairStrides [TSL] Fumble Grenade mod, attempt to edit the effects of grenades. So by editing the k_sup_grenade.nss, I've reworked the grenades to increase their potency. Beware! This works both ways! Demolitions now affects how much damage a grenade can do, the more demolitions a character has the more damage they can cause with a grenade. This was originally GGT89 idea from this thread > http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/5678-need-help-to-modify-game-mechanics-in-kotor2/?hl=grenade#entry59186 The first option is for vanilla lovers, that only adds demolitions skill as a damage bonus and increases the explosion radius slightly. Like before, a detailed log of the changes exist inside the folder! Second option for hardcore enthusiasts, the grenades instantly kill groups of people and are quite lethal! I recommend only installing this with JediShemL's Super Enhancement Mod or other realistic lightsaber/blaster mods. INSTALLATION: Copy and paste the k_sup_grenade.ncs file into the override. You will have to decide which one you want. There are two folders, each with a different version. It will take effect immediately, and can be removed, at any time, without causing any issues. Credits: Special Thanks to Bead-v for the advice on another thread about editing the k_sup_grenade script. Thanks to FS for teaching me most of the script I know! As always, this mod may update pending feedback. Hope you enjoy! -jc2 -

This mod replace the default voice-over used by the Elder Droids with the Legends rendition. # Background # It was one fine evening when I take a walk inside the Elder's Settlement. I wonder how them droids sounds like, and then... why do they sounded like T3? So I wanted to experience something else, then I remember back in the Ancient Ruins of Dantooine there was a similar droid there that has something different with it. Apparently it was speaking Rakatan's language that the PC did not recognized. I decided that I had to incorporate that with the droid then, hence the making of this mod. # About this Mod # This mod replace the default voice-over used by the Elder Droids with the Legends rendition. The sound was made using an inverted Rakatan's voice-over with added droid-like filters on top of it. By concept it gave an idea that the droids were speaking an epitome of language that the PC did not understand [in Bastila's voice], resulting in addition of changing the spoken line of the droids. It also changes the bubble-bark conversation to a cinematic one. For a distinctive look at what the mod does, here is the preview - # Final Remarks # There's always room for improvements; critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated. PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: run the installer and choose INSTALL option, then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! Uninstallation: Choose the UNINSTALL option in the installation menu Additionally you may want to remove eb_elderdrd_ANGM.wav from the streamwaves folder Compatibility: For maximum compatibility, install this mod at the latter stage of your mod's build Will not be compatible with any mods that hard-overwrite the Elder Settlement/unk_m42aa module Pay attention to the patcher's warning messages upon installing the mod. If it tells you that it found an instance of k_hdroid1_dialog.dlg and unk42_elddroidXYZ.utc in the Override folder, then there might be a compatibility issue indeed For this mod to be fully effective you should at least load a saved game before entering the Elder Settlement [unk_m42aa] module The mod is play-tested with the latest version of KotOR 1 Restoration/K1R and is compatible with it. ///// 01. Background ///// Being such a main part of the K1 story, I was surprised to see these had yet to be revamped. I was looking to get into modding/reskinning, so I thought this would be a great project. ///// 02. Enhancements ///// First steps were to update the overall model. I wanted some visual upgrades while still maintaining a very-aged and neglected structure. I love the runes scattered throughout the game and I really wanted to incorporate those as well. It seemed fitting to light them. (And you're going to them all over the place.) Next section was so focus on the HUD (for lack of a better term). It was very pixelated and really needed a crisp, new look. I tried to simplify it a bit and ended up removing a couple of parts as well. The biggest change I made was creating a new piece for the planet locators. I simply didn't like the originals and wanted to make the location an actual planet. This was a really fun part--recreating the central galaxy this all revolved around. I used some shots of actual galaxies, nebulas, and starfields. It's hard to beat the real thing. I adjusted the colors slightly for better clarity as well. The mother of a bastard that caused me the most grief, was the dodecahedron in the center of the star map. The texture had such a bizarre repeat pattern and never really wrapped that well. I'm happy to the point I got it to, but would like to make that an actual sphere in v2. ///// 03. Future Plans ///// In thinking about a version 2, I'd like to actually edit the model files. I think some edges could be softened, but mostly I'd like to adjust the mapping to avoid so many repeated areas of the texture. The final opening of the star map, where the PC finds out the location of the forge could use some work. Most (if not all) is model work and I wasn't ready for that. I'd also like to adjust the lighting in a couple of places. Would I go as far as to customize it for every zone you find a map? Well, a year and 3 days ago I created a mod that changed the horrendous gaffi stick texture from a 64x64 monstrosity to a respectable 1024x1024. I also added a unique(ish) texture for the chieftan's gaffi, and modified that gaffi's description a bit to fit with my changes. -

HD PC Portraits for Knights of the Old Republic v1.0 - 20190909 by ndix UR (DeadlyStream user) This modification adds high resolution (1K) portrait images for player characters (PCs). All 30 male and female vanilla player characters are provided, with all 5 light-dark variants, for a total of 150 new portraits. The 1K portraits have 256x the resolution of the 64x64 originals. The portraits are rendered to match the poses, colors, facial expressions, and lighting of the original images as closely as possible given the following constraints: Only vanilla textures (and my own additional maps based on same) are used A couple face textures had the eye in the wrong place and had to be fixed I reduced the number of background gradients to a set of 4 standards. The originals are all over the place in terms of the gradients and I didn't have time to replicate every one. An effort was made to match each individual set of portraits to its appropriate set of background gradients. While the textures are mostly crap, most of the work was in material setup using a modern rendering engine, so even the vanilla textures still wind up looking much better than they have any right to. This is because of real lights, shading, and materials, of which the original diffuse textures are only a part. I didn't really redo geometry, beyond appropriate use of subdivision surface modifiers. See the included images in preview/ for an idea of how the portraits look. INSTALL / UNINSTALL To install, copy the files from the package Override/ folder to the Override/ folder for your KOTOR game installation. To uninstall, remove the TPC files for this package from your KOTOR game Override/ folder. ====================================== Knights of the Old Republic Juhani MOD ====================================== author: miro42 email: ben@floydiantheory.com website: www.floydiantheory.com/miro42.deviantart.com name: Cathar Juhani credits (thanks): Trex for his awesome tutorial and everyone at Holowan Labs. Because there are too many to name, thanks for all the great tools out there! For an actual list of programs and tools that I used, check out the little tutorial. Of course, thanks go to Bioware and LucasArts for bringing KOTOR to life. filename: juhaniCathar_head.zip file size: 183KB (435kb unzipped) date released: 18 Feb 2009 description: For those of you who remember Star Wars pre-prequel, you might remember the old Dark Horse comics series 'Tales of the Jedi'. From this series one of my favorite characters was Sylvar, the Cathar. So when I found out that KOTOR had a Cathar I was psyched. Of course then I actually saw Juhani and I was quite dissapointed to find that she looked nothing like a Cathar should. She didn't even have any hair! This mod gives Juhani an actual cat like appearance (based more off of the 'Redemption' arc than the older ones) with a different nose, bigger ears, and a squatter, but (in my opinion) cuter face. I've also retextured her head so it looks a little bit nicer. installation: Extract contents of the zip file. Place the .mdl, .mdx, and .tga files into override (x:Program Files\LucasArts\SWKOTOR by default). Start KOTOR! How easy is that?! uninstallation (is that a word?): delete the .mdl, .mdx, and .tga files from the override. notes: This is my first ever mod and I would like to think that there are no problems with it. However, computers are computers and I'm sure someone will have a problem. If this is the case please email me and I'll look into figuring out the problem. However, since this is my first mod I don't really know what else I can do as my skills are all but nill. So, try redownloading and reinstalling and see if that works. Good luck, and have fun! permissions: If you wish to use this for anything but personal use, send me an email and I'm sure I'll give you permission to use it however you like. This mod replaces all HK-47s textures. Just like my other party member reskins; the size has been increased to 2048x2048. Which allowed me to put in some extra details and give a decent update to the skin. There's now a more visible metal texture but otherwise; nothing major has been altered to HKs skin. I did tweak the contrast and colors but its still the same rusty killer droid. Look at the comparison picture to get a better idea INSTALL: Unpack and copy the 3 files P_HK47_01.tga and TXI, plus PO_Phk47 to your override. That simple! -
