  1. [K1] Republic Soldier's New Shade

    This mod replaces the vanilla and/or the installed Republic Soldier texture with the new shade-specularity tweaked version.

    # Background #
    The way I see it; the vanilla and/or already present Republic Soldier texture lacks some shading and reflection particularly on its trim, so I thought adding ones would somehow enhance its appearance.

    # About this Mod #
    Inside this mod are 6 options of new shade and specularity tweaked Republic Soldier texture in TPC format:
    [Main] New Shade for Male NPC Republic Soldier [Option-1] Vanilla version for JC's "Republic Soldier Fix for K1" - Male and Female * [Option-2] Vanilla Version Model - Female NPC Republic Soldier [Option-3] New Shade for JC's "Republic Soldier Uniform for PC" - Male and Female * [Option-4] Vanilla version for JC's "Republic Soldier Uniform for PC" - Male and Female * [Option-5] New Shade for JC's "Republic Soldier Fix for K1" - Male and Female NPC Republic Soldier * * Option 1, 3, 4 and 5 requires JCarter426/JC's "JC's Republic Soldier Fix for K1" to be installed first.

    # Final Remarks #
    There's always room for improvements - critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks for the next update are much appreciated - PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod.

    Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

    Installation: I suggest you to manually removes any TGA/DDS and TXI instances of the relevant files [if there're any] from the 'Override' folder. And then - run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe], and hit the [Install Mod ->] button!
    Uninstallation: remove the installed files from the 'Override' folder or replaces them with the files stored in the 'Backup' folder [if generated]
    Compatibility: this option will be compatible with JCarter426's "JC's Republic Soldier Fix for K1" as long as this mod was installed after the said mod has. With any mods that is using the same name for the assets and/or potentially overwrite this mod, no compatibility is guaranteed
    Redistribution: if you want to redistribute the mod - just go with it. Though less likely I will provide supports to any other place than DeadlyStream. If you are to re-use an assets to a project you will be releasing, you don't have to ask for permission - but your generous intention is very much welcome. I'd love to know what others are up too, particularly if my work are included. And then, make sure to credit BioWare & LucasArts with the release - particularly with the inclusion of the assets. An appreciation to this lil' peasant work here is also a very warm welcome, welcome.

  2. HD Pazaak Cards

    ///// 01. Intro /////
    Pazaak! The game whose name I misspell nearly every time I type it. Anyway, the cards are looking pretty dated these days so here’s a higher resolution version.

    ///// 02. Background /////
    These actually started as a much larger project (that I fully intend to finish), but since I had the cards done, I figured I might as well release them.

    ///// 03. Install /////
    Drag 'em to your override folder. These shouldn't conflict with anything. Note: For those of you who prefer the green cards from TSL, you’ll find that variant in the “green” folder. Just overwrite the originals.

    ///// 04. Uninstall /////
    Remove the files.

    ///// 05. Disclaimer /////
    Distribute, have fun, edit, whatever. I only ask that you don't claim this as your own.

  3. Sith Academy Robes

    Simply changes student and teacher attire in the Sith Academy to actual Dark Jedi robes.

    Released: 12 March 2015
    Author: Cerez

    Description:

    This is a variation of Shem's "Robes for Korriban Sith Students" mod to do nothing but change the uniforms the students and instructors are wearing in the Sith Academy on Korriban to Dark Jedi robes that are actually befitting the Sith. It also turns one of the mistakenly named students from the original game (Hijata) into a regular student.

    Instructions:

    Place all the files in the Files folder into your game's Override folder. You will need to do this before entering the Sith Academy for the first time. Otherwise, you will need to load a save game from when you still hadn't stepped into the Sith Academy for the changes to take effect.

    Credits:

    This mod is based on Shem's "Robes for Korriban Sith Students" mod, and uses some of Shem's original files. Special thanks to Shem for his assistance with the making of this mod.

  4. Juhani - Canon-like Cathar

    Changes Juhani's appearance to a more pleasant looking Cathar woman in game, based on official Star Wars graphic novel visual concepts/references.

    Released: 12 March 2015
    Author: Cerez

    Description:

    Based on official, Star Wars Expanded Universe visual references, this mod completely changes Juhani's hostile default appearance in the game to a more-broadly-accepted-canon-like, unique, young Cathar woman players can find more relatable, to compliment her story arc. A number of years were spent detail refining this mod to make it feel like it was always meant to be a part of the original game.

    Instructions:

    Place all the files in the Files folder into your game's Override folder.

    To make best use of this mod, I recommend also copying the files in the Extra folder to Override, because they serve to fix some debilitating bugs in Juhani's quest, and restore some of her removed dialogue from the original game -- therefore completing her involvement in the game's story.

    Credits:

    This mod is built on Shem's "Juhani - Total Makeover" mod, which used Mjpb3's head skin as a base, and its head model was exported/made by Kha. In addition, I've had generous help from DarkLordXana, who was kind to help me give Kha's head model Cathar features (sharp teeth, flatter nose), and to whom I am forever grateful for their support.

    Model (Export): Kha
    Skin: Mjpb3

  5. [K1] Form of soldier HD "International Global mod"

    Good afternoon. I worked very long on these textures. I can call them one of the best of my works. The archive contains 2 textures: the texture of the woman's form and the shape of the man. The resolution of the textures is 2048X2048. This resolution allows you to carefully draw each piece of equipment. Attention was paid to everything: rivets, buckles, shadows, cloth, chevrons. Enjoy.

    CONTACT: PM me on the forums or find me on Steam

    *************
    INSTALLATION
    *************
    Unzip, place the files into your override folder.

    ************
    DESCRIPTION
    ************
    This is a simple reskins that replaces the first caucasian head. This is a bearded reskin of the PMHC01 head from KotOR 2 (which fits the one from KotOR with some minor changes) that I made in 2010, to look like me as close as possible. Compared to the original PMHC01 from KotOR 2, apart from the beard, it removes the scar, there's no zombie dark side corruption, instead you get Sith tattoos at the last 2 dark side phases, plus the yellow eyes. Since this mod only replaces textures and portraits it shouldn't cause conflicts with other mods.

  8. Exotic costume of Bastila

    Good afternoon. I was impressed with @JCarter426's "JC's Slave Bastila for K1 1.3". I could not resist, and I made a new texture in HD. Resolution 2048X2048. Increasing the resolution allowed to improve the quality of the texture and add detailed ornaments. The archive contains only textures. 9. Sith Assassin Ambush

    This mod was requested by @Spectrometer. This replaces part of the trio of Dark Jedi that ambush you on Tatooine and Kashyyyk with Sith Assassins from TSL. You have two options:
    1) The two Dark Jedi by the sides are replaced with Sith Assassins
    2) The leading Dark Jedi is replaced with a Sith Assassin
    Personally I would go with option #1 because in #2 the Sith Assassin will be the one speaking to you, while in #1 they will silently stand by the side. I doubt Sith Assassins would waste time on pointless conversations. But it's your choice, otherwise I wouldn't have made it

    Note: If you go with option #1, you will make the fight slightly easier. This is because one of the Dark Jedi had a Dark Jedi Knight robe, which I had to remove because it obviously looked weird with the new model. I might address this in the future.

    Installation:
    Run TSLPatcher.exe, choose which option you want from the dropdown menu, and select your main game folder. You will get 4 warnings if you install one of the versions when you already had the other installed.
    Uninstallation:
    Remove n_darkjh01.mdl/mdx, n_darkjlowm.mdl/mdx, tat17_darkjedi01-03, N_DarkJLowM01.tpc, and N_DarkJH01.tpc from your Override folder. Replace your appearance.2da and heads.2da with the backup that was generated.

    This is a port from TSL. I'm not sure if I have to clarify that, but just in-case.
    Compatible with any mod unless for some reason it uses the Sith Assassin TSL models/textures (n_darkjlowm.mdl/mdx, n_darkjh01.mdl/mdx, N_DarkJLowM01.tpc, and N_DarkJH01.tpc)

  10. Mira-INSPIRED Default Clothing Reskin for Mission Vao

    It's a bit of shame that the first mod I ever actually release had somewhat of a controversial origin, but oh well.
    This mod was requested by @SithTrooper, however the original idea sparked quite the discussion and the thread was ultimately locked.  I have kept that discussion in mind and altered certain parts of Mira's original outfit to be more appropriate for Mission.
    Basically, this mod allows Mission to wear Mira's jacket and pants. Underneath the jacket are basically Mission's vanilla undergarments, as seen when you unequip anything from her body slot. Hopefully nobody finds this offensive, as I do not want to start anything or continue the original thread.

    This mod should be compatible with anything that doesn't edit Mission's appearance.2da row (specifically model and tex b). So it *should* be compatible with K1R.
    Oh, and yes, this is technically a port. I recall reading somewhere that this fact must be mentioned.

  11. K1 Fenharel Style Character Select Screen Portraits for Carth, HK, and T3

    Hey guys. This is my very first 'mod' (feels almost insulting to call it that but what can you do?), such as it is. I made this for my own personal use but thought I'd see if anyone else would like to use it. Please leave feedback on whether you'd like different backgrounds etcetera and I can see about updating/adding to it.
    If like me, both Fenharel's character retextures and the HK SWTOR retexture by DarthParametric have become a staple in your override folder, and you're also a little insane in the membrane, you may have been bothered by the fact that Fen included some awesome portraits for each character on the party select screen, yet Carth (even though he was retextured), HK, and T3 have no such portraits. For me, it broke the immersion of the mod to have this juxtaposition. Therefore, I've created portraits for them (while trying to stay as faithful to his style as possible).
    Installation: Just stick the TGA's in yer good ole override folder. Warning: DarthParametric's HK retexture already has a po_phk473 file but it is under a different file format. Even though your computer won't say that it conflicts, you need to go into the override folder and delete the file named po_phk473.dds manually for his portrait to show up.
    Compatibility: Shouldn't have any conflicts with anything besides mods that change po_pcarth3, po_phk473, or po_pt3m33 (of which I haven't seen any aside from the one detailed in the installation section above, so you should be good to go).

    Anyway, let me know what you guys think and thanks a bunch for being such an awesome community.

  15. Party Model fixes and HD Bastila

    The main purpose of this mod is to fix many of the party models that have uvw errors. Some of these errors may be too small to see in-game, but most become glaring when using some of the HD texture mods here on this site. The only HD texture that I have included here, is for Bastila Shan's head model (P_BastilaH04) which is now 2048x2048 pixels. I have tried to remain true to her original look.
    The models that I have fixed, and are included, are:
    default clothes models for  Bastila Shan Canderous Ordo Carth Onasi Jolee Bindo Juhani Mission Vao HK-47's whole body model head models for Bastila and Carth HD head texture for Bastila head texture for Jolee (to fix the mustache) two additional clothes textures for Carth Each of these character's files can be used separately, so that the user has the option of mixing and matching with other mods.
    Many of the screenshots are animated with before/after scenes that flip every 7 seconds. There are included text files with much more detail as to what has been fixed in each. There are also a few files included that other modders can use for helping their own texture mods (some uvw maps and a few Photoshop psd files with multiple layers already separated).

  18. Star Map Revamp

    ///// 01. Background /////

    Being such a main part of the K1 story, I was surprised to see these had yet to be revamped. I was looking to get into modding/reskinning, so I thought this would be a great project.

    ///// 02. Enhancements /////
    First steps were to update the overall model. I wanted some visual upgrades while still maintaining a very-aged and neglected structure. I love the runes scattered throughout the game and I really wanted to incorporate those as well. It seemed fitting to light them. (And you're going to them all over the place.) Next section was so focus on the HUD (for lack of a better term). It was very pixelated and really needed a crisp, new look. I tried to simplify it a bit and ended up removing a couple of parts as well. The biggest change I made was creating a new piece for the planet locators. I simply didn't like the originals and wanted to make the location an actual planet. This was a really fun part--recreating the central galaxy this all revolved around. I used some shots of actual galaxies, nebulas, and starfields. It's hard to beat the real thing. I adjusted the colors slightly for better clarity as well. The mother of a bastard that caused me the most grief, was the dodecahedron in the center of the star map. The texture had such a bizarre repeat pattern and never really wrapped that well. I'm happy to the point I got it to, but would like to make that an actual sphere in v2.

    ///// 03. Future Plans /////
    In thinking about a version 2, I'd like to actually edit the model files. I think some edges could be softened, but mostly I'd like to adjust the mapping to avoid so many repeated areas of the texture. The final opening of the star map, where the PC finds out the location of the forge could use some work. Most (if not all) is model work and I wasn't ready for that. I'd also like to adjust the lighting in a couple of places. Would I go as far as to customize it for every zone you find a map? I dunno, that's a big endeavor and there are a limited number of placeables.

  19. HD UI Menu Pack

    HD UI Menu Pack
    for Knights of the Old Republic

    v1.1 - 20180318
    by ndix UR (DeadlyStream user)

    This modification adds high resolution UI menu textures. 2K is the base resolution.

    The content is redrawn vector art, no modified scale-ups here. It is focused on menu backgrounds, and includes some of the overlay components for the menus.

    Pure Vanilla (PV) Edition aims to provide the closest match to the original menu texture assets.

    This mod doesn't touch a lot of the 'extra' menu-like GUI elements yet, such as the galaxy screen, computer interfaces, pazaak, etc. It also doesn't mess with the main menu at all yet.

    Requirements

    You must be running menus at a high resolution for this to really work. At the default menu size, this mod will probably look bad.

    You must have KotOR High Resolution Menus or an equivalent mod installed for good results.

    Known Issues

    The original textures were for 640x480 menus. The 4x sized textures in this package would look best at 2560x1920, which nobody really uses. If your display is less than 2560px width, you may experience seams where different textures are intended to meet seamlessly. The game just isn't that good at scaling UI textures with alpha channels used for transparency. There's nothing I can really do about it.

    There are some sprites in the menu processes that haven't made it into the package yet. They may sometime.

    I've added x/y clamping to some textures that should have transparent edges over 3D backgrounds. It makes the transparent edges work well, but the diffuse edges work less well. It seems you can't have it both ways, and this is the trade off.

    Install / Uninstall

    To install, copy the files from the package Override/ folder to the Override/ folder for your KOTOR game installation.

    To uninstall, remove the TPC files for this package from your KOTOR game Override/ folder.

  20. HD NPC Portraits

    HD NPC Portraits
    for Knights of the Old Republic
    v2.0 - 20200119 by ndix UR (DeadlyStream user)

    This modification adds high resolution rendered portrait images for NPCs. The 1K portraits have 256x the resolution of the 64x64 originals. The portraits are rendered to match the poses, expressions, colors, and lighting of the vanilla portraits as closely as possible given the following constraints:
    Only vanilla textures (and my own additional maps based on same) are used While the textures are quite low-res, most of the work was in material setup using a modern rendering engine, so even the vanilla textures still wind up looking much better than they have any right to. This is because of real lights, shading, and material properties, of which the original diffuse textures are only a part. I didn't really redo geometry, beyond appropriate use of edge split and subdivision surface modifiers.
    It also includes 1K versions of the darkened placeholder portraits before you meet characters in-game.

    BONUS
    There's a portrait for Trask Ulgo, because why not. Also I've included additional alternative non-vanilla expressions for Mission & Jolee because I don't care for their vanilla expressions.

    INSTALL / UNINSTALL
    To install, copy the TPC files from the package Override/ folder to the Override/ folder for your KOTOR game installation.
    To uninstall, remove the TPC files for this package from your KOTOR game Override/ folder.
