I have this running with K1R and it runs fine. I do like the other HD Menu Art pack a bit more but if you're a strict purist about the first game, this is the way to go.
A lot of these really subtly improve the immersion of playing K1 again. My problem so far is that this tends to conflict with specular mods in my games, especially on footlockers and computers (standing and floor models). I do love the fact that you have the options to pick the versions you want and still have them in use without the animations, that is greatly appreciated. I use just about everything in the folder of this mod except the footlocker's animated screens or the computers, however.
I like the files for Admiral Varko, so I keep them, but this mod bugs out a lot and, currently, doesn't do what it's meant to do fully. The Twi'Lek receptionist is never in a Sith uniform, but it will turn some Rodian characters into Twi'Leks and if you do the TSL install, it will completely overwrite Karath with Varko 100% of the time (at least for me). Recommendation: Keep the files for Varko in this mod and drop them into your Override file. Delete the rest.
I think this mod is a really neat addition; it's to K1 what the Crimson Heads were to RE-make years ago. My only problem is that this conflicts with a number of other mods that modifies KotOR's main "appearance.2da" file. A number of later game characters in my game often get replaced with a Rakghoul Fiend. Funny, but immersion breaking. EDIT: Found the issue was other later mods that hard-write over the appearance.2da file instead of modifying it. So, lesson learned and this mod now runs butter-y smooth with those files uninstalled. Warning to anyone getting mods that don't modify existing appearance.2da files: don't.
I like the armor and implants, but not so much the chaingun, beyond that, I find it conflicts with my other mods installed---specifically the "Party Leveler" where you can set each of your party's skills from Lv.1 once you get them. The gear typically disappear when I get him at Davik's estate and then I have to cheat the armor back in and have to play with the "CHEAT USED" brand across the save.
Old mod but still my go to choice.
To anyone wanting to use this, use any of the fonts besides the "dialogue description" font; anything beyond the default of this and the inventory quantity disappears. Use the other font sizes (Menu and Name) and you're golden. This works great with the HD Menu mods otherwise.
  1. Can also confirm. Everything else but the dialogue description sizes works like a treat, though.
I found that this conflicts with other mods, so I had to uninstall this mod. I keep the character files to load into the override file manually and that alters the Matale and Sandral fathers well enough, it's just when it comes to Shen and Rahasia, I find the mod altering the appearance.2da file for them causes them to not show up once you're in the Matale compound and the quest just stalls to an end there.
A simple re-skin that just adds so much more life to the game. Drab, single-color outfits are out and it just looks so much better. I absolutely love this. EDIT: I found that this kind of conflicts with Rece's Upgradable Vanilla robes, which is something I always play with. It's not a game-breaker for me, not even a big deal, but it means I'm limited to Brown/Red/Blue tiered robes and the Dark Jedi robes are the vanilla outfits. I wish I could get the gray and cream-colored outfits but---oh, well. Rece's mod is an older one that was made before this, I think that would have to be edited to fit with this mod moreso.
As much as I wanted this to work, this mod had problems for me. It loads in K1R fine, but I already had some textural mods installed before it--Better Twi'Lek head, Three-Tier Robes, Distinctive Jedi on Dantooine/Star Forge, Shen and Rahasia: Starcrossed Lovers, and even the TOR Fat-Man mod this was recommended with-- and it conflicted with all of them. It would load wrong character files, load in multiples (something I'm trying to fix now), or flat-out won't load them at all (Lur Arka and my Dantooine captive jedi are two issues I'm also trying to work on currently). It even couldn't load the Elise mod this had in its own files; I had a headless corpse for Elise when testing it out. It's either this mod or none at all (barring K1R), in my case.
  2. I've been having the same issues; this also doesn't fix the Twi'Lek in the Taris Sith Base for me either.
Works beautifully for something so easy to install! Edit: These also work in TSL if you want to drop these into that, too. I have this coupled with Tjsase's HD Astromech Upscale (pick and choose to your liking) and the droids have never looked better in K2!
  3. Would love to get it working properly, as I want the "Mandalore-worthy" option, but I keep getting this error message:
I find it kinda buggy. Re-skins okay but the mouth becomes all white too in my game.
  4. There must be something conflicting in my game because the footlockers, lockers, and computers glitch and the whole thing animates.
  5. Absolutely love this mod! EDIT: Finally got the Pazzak tournament working. It conflicted with some of my other mods but I've solved them now. The game runs as smooth as it can now.
Nifty upgrade that actually makes playing the Genoharadan mission worthwhile.
I like this mod, I play it with every time, but I docked this one star because, despite my love of this mod and what it does, currently two of the Bastila files causes bugs: p_bastilla001.utc and p_bastill002.utc. 001 causes the bug where she is invisible during the interrogation on the Leviathan, and 002 causes the black-screen bug after finishing the Unknown World (light-side) and crashes the game upon playing the cutscene. Until it's fixed, be warned when installing this mod. It plays fine if you remove the two .utc files.
  6. I dunno. I kinda liked doing everything right, getting the Storyteller quest and all that, just to open three boxes at the end of it all and they all attack me. Get that minor bump in XP without DS points all the while slaughtering an entire village of innocents. One of my favorite little quirks from the base game.
