TSL Backdrop Improvements
By Kexikus
This mod aims to improve the space scenes in Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. This is done both to improve the visual quality as well as the continuity between cutscenes and playable areas.
The changes made to achieve this are thus also twofold: First there are new high resolution textures provided for almost all space backdrops and then there are model changes to create more extensive edits. For a full list of what has been changed, see below (contains spoilers).
Additionally there is an optional part of the mod that brings the galaxy map appearance of some planets in line with the new backdrops. See below for installation instructions.
There are some mods by other authors that already do an amazing job at improving certain backdrops, so I did not see the need to imitate their work. Instead, I highly recommend you install those mods as well. I will list them below.
COMPABILITY
This mod is not compatible with other mods that edit the same textures or models.
Notable exceptions are TSLRCM and M4-78 EP:
- This mod overrides 222TEL15.mdl and 222TEL15.mdx provided by TSLRCM. This will replace some VISUAL ONLY! changes by TSLRCM with my version. Check the screenshots to see which one you prefer.
- Also, this mod will override 003EBOq.mdl and 003EBOq.mdx from M4-78EP. In this case my mod includes the changes done by M4-78 EP, so you can safely override those files (make a backup though).
INSTALLATION
If you have TSLRCM and/or M4-78 EP installed, go to your Override folder and make backups of 222TEL15.mdl, 222TEL15.mdx, 003EBOq.mdl and 003EBOq.mdx just in case.
Then copy all files from the "To Override" folder into your Override folder.
If you want to install the galaxy map changes as well, also copy the files from the "Optional Galaxy Map Changes" folder to your Override folder.
And finally I highly recommend you install the other backdrop improvement mods listed below.
UNINSTALLATION
Delete this mod's files from your Override folder and restore the backups of 222TEL15.mdl, 222TEL15.mdx, 003EBOq.mdl and 003EBOq.mdx (if you have TSLRCM and/or M4-78 EP installed).
RECOMMENDED MODS
- Improved Peragus Asteroid Fields by Vasilii Zaytsev
- Replacement Peragus II Artwork by Trench
- Telos Citadel Station Skybox by Quanon
- Alternatively you can use the TEL_Bdrp.tga and TEL_Bdrp.txi from TSL Remastered by sELFiNDUCEDcOMA
KNOWN BUGS
- The asteroids during the Peragus escape sequence appear out of nowhere. This is either due to my limited knowledge or due to limitations in our tools but I haven't been able to fix it yet. Should that bother you, remove 003EBOs.mdl and 003EBOs.mdx from your Override folder. Note however that you will also loose the Dxun backdrop for the Arrival at Dxun scene.

Description:
TSLRCM is a mod that restores most of the cut content back into the game. While this mod does do an excellent job at doing so it also comes with a new logo which now reads "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II THE SITH LORDS RESTORED CONTENT MODIFICATION 1.8.5 (The 1.8.5 bit changes depending on the version you play). That new
logo is extremley useful to new players since it lets them know if it's been successfully installed or not but realistically Obsidian never intened for that logo to be in the game so what this mod does is reimplement the old logo back into the TSLRCM game.
Known Bugs:
this mod shouldn't have bugs but if their is Just PM me on Deadlystream.

TSL HD Cockpit Skyboxes
By tjsase
HD Cockpit Skyboxes
DESCRIPTION
When you land the Ebon Hawk on a planet, you are able to look out of the cockpit and view the landing platform. This is achieved by a cylindrical texture. Since the vanilla textures were low res, inaccurate, and desaturated, I recreated the platforms in Maya and rendered them to look as they do in-game. The main planets, including M4-78, are all remastered in 4096x1024. I also include a version of the Nar Shaddaa cockpit texture that utilizes the Realistic Nar Shaddaa Skybox mod by Sharen Thrawn. Additionally, I've upscaled and retouched the outer hull of the ship as seen from the cockpit. If you need downscaled versions, the Medium Resolution option provides 2048x512 resolution skyboxes while the Low Resolution option provides 1024x256 resolution skyboxes (the size from the vanilla game). I'm also offering these textures in TPC format, which tends to be 1/4th the size and download time of the uncompressed files.
INSTALLATION
-Drop all of the files from the main mod folder into your override folder.
-If you want the cockpit texture that uses the Realistic Nar Shaddaa Skybox mod,
replace the EBO_Sky01.tga file with the one from the folder labeled With Nar Shaddaa Realistic Skybox.
UNINSTALLATION
-Delete the aforementioned files from your override folder.

Malak with Hair
A VARSITYPUPPET MOD
TITLE:
- Malak With Hair
DESCRIPTION:
Once upon a time, the terrifying Darth Malak was once a young, powerful Jedi Knight. He stood for peace, justice and believed the Mandalorians should be stopped from conquering the oft-neglected Outer Rim territories. Back when he had hair.
Somewhere along the way, he went bald, got dumb tattoos on his head and did the whole Sith Lord routine.
This reskin will give him a full head of hair again, like he would have had while recruiting for Revan back when the Mandalorian Wars first started. He'll show up in the Korriban Tomb with a reskinned red armor and a hairline.
INSTALLATION:
- Drag the files into your Override.
- npc_v_malak is only necessary if you want Malak named Alek Squinquargesimus, his decidedly ridiculous original name that was canonized with the Knights of the Old Republic comics

Alternative Dancer Outfit icon
By N-DReW25
A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic II The Sith Lords

Release Date: 7.08.2016
Installation:
Simply Copy and Paste or Drag and Drop ALL the files within the "For Override" into your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder
Uninstallation:
Remove or Delete the files from your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder
Description:
While on Nar Shadda you can do a quest were you have to dance for Vogga the Hutt. you or one of your party memebers
must wear a slave outfit in order to do the dance though. Though this wouldn't be noticable at first glance but I found a texture in Kotor Tool that actually looks like another dancers outfit icon.
Though if you look at it carefully it looks very similar to the dancers outfit leia wore in episode 6 return of the jedi so what this mod does is replaces the icon for the dancer outfit with
this one.
Known Bugs:

TSL Armor Fix
By N-DReW25
A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic II The Sith Lords
Author: N-DReW25
Release Date: 22.07.2016
Installation:
Simply Copy and Paste or Drag and Drop ALL the files within the "For Override" into your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder
Uninstallation:
Remove or Delete the files from your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder
Description:
When I firsted starting playing TSL I noticed how some armors that appeared in Kotor 1 didn't actually appear to look like how they did in
Kotor 1 instead some looked new like the Light Battle Armor and Reinforced Battle Armor had new skins which was nice but then their were things like
the Heavy Battle Armor and Verpine Zal Allow Mesh were just ridicolous and kinda unrealistic to the overall story of TSL so I decided to make a fix that turns those
armors into their default Kotor 1 look.
Now for those who were confused as to why those armors look strange is because they rushed the game without checking over it and it lefted a TON of bugs
and mistakes and one of those mistakes were armors having the wrong model but from my perspective they planed to reskin those armors but could only finish at least 4
and they just applied a random model to the armors they didn't finish so they didn't intend for the Armors to appear as they did in kotor 1 so thats why this wasn't
included in TSLRCM.
The armors that have been affacted by this mod includes
*Heavy Battle Armor
*Powered Battle Armor
*Light Battle Armor
*Ulic Qel Dromas Mesh Suit
*Reinforced Fiber Mesh
*Mandalorian Assault Armor
If I missed any please let me know

Bao-Dur is Buff
By forgetcanon
Bao-Dur is Buff.
This mod makes any armor appear as his default clothing.
Because he's Buff.
This mod will not conflict with any sort of "Let Bao-Dur Wear Jedi Robes" type mod, especially if they also use a TSLPatcher. If in doubt, install this one on top.
This mod will probably make any "Bao-Dur is made of glass, let's give him special armor" mod look like he's just wearing his normal clothes.

TSL ORIGINS: Harbinger Overhaul
By Jorak Uln
Attention: Currently NOT compatible with Kotor 2 Steam Version.
due to the total lack of dirt overlay it looks unrealistically shiny - i try to find a fix asap.
Unlike its predecessor, the Complete Overhaul for K1, the purpose of this texture mod is to preserve the original look of the game,
while using different texturing techniques to give the old game engine a modern look, emulating shine & vector based animations from the Mass Effect series.
Installation:
is simple, just:
1. Download XnView
2. Extract Part1 into the TSL Override directory
3. Create a new folder on your Desktop
4. Extract the contents of Part 2 into that new folder.
5. double-click on one of the tgas
6. click on file-> Browse
7. select all Strg+A then left click batch processing
8. select output folder TSL\Override
select format TGA, Override file
9. hit "Go".
Enjoy!
Credits:
Special thanks goes to Darth Parametric for helping me editing the light-glowing values and
also i want to thank the wonderful community for their kind help in modding related questions.
Compatibility:
This mod should be compatible with every mod that doesnt change Harbingers & Kolto Tanks textures.

It's the console from M4-78. A high-res, animated take on the vanilla version. Includes an updated model for illuminated surfaces, non-mirrored screens, and restoration of two surfaces that were maybe originally intended to be screens but ended up as flat metallic surfaces. Also includes non-animated options.

Higher Detail Handmaiden Skin Retexture (Fit an Athletic Version)
By Malkior
This is a culmination of my work to attempt to add some level of accurate anatomy to the skin textures of various characters. Since FS recently uploaded his own edit of the Handmaiden's underwear model, I was tasked with editing a reskin of the Vanilla model I had previously been working on.
This is that texture...
Note: It is in fact derived from the Vanilla texture, except it was designed around Fairstride's aforementioned Handmaiden Fit and Athletic mod, and so would probably look best with it.
-Technical Information:
This texture uses my new technique of "adding" skin pores by overlaying some edited noise and using a few soft brushes to create the illusion of subsurface scattering.
I had originally envisioned using an alpha layer to imitate light reflecting off of its surface, but it ended up looking a bit too metallic,
and seemed to detract from the cleaner look you get in Vanilla. I still plan to try this out in subsequent builds, but right now this version looks the most appropriate to me.
If there are alterations or changes you'd prefer, I would be more than happy to oblige.
To Install: Drop in the Override Folder; If you don't have an Override folder, you will have to create one
To Uninstall: delete or remove p_handmaidenBA.tga, p_handmaidenH.tga, and p_handmaiden.txi from the Override folder
Permissions: I request that you credit me if you are to use this texture in your own mod
Credits: The DeadlyStream community for their continued support of this rather odd hobby, Special thanks to FairStrides and LiliArch for their scrutiny and enthusiasm that I just upload this blasted thing already;

Pre-War Style Silver & Gold Trimmed Jedi Robes
Adds K1-style Jedi robes with silver and gold trim, styled after the “Silverlined Jedi Robe” mod by Cerasumat, which no longer appears to be available for download.
Use KSE or console command to add items a_robe_47 and a_robe_48 to your inventory.
Note: This uses the K1-style Jedi robes mesh. However, it is not a port. While the original medium sized model was replaced by the new movie-style robe for TSL, Obsidian left in the original K1 large and small models for both males and females, along with the female texture. I have rescaled these models to the same size as the medium model, along with making some UV adjustments for the male model to fix various texture stretching issues.
Warning: In order not to replace the existing Obsidian robe models, I have overriden the J model slot – i.e. Revan/Star Forge robes – with the K1-style Jedi robes model. As a result, this mod is not compatible with any other mod that uses PFBJ/PMBJ models, i.e. any Revan/Star Forge robes in TSL mods, or that replaces the model in the J slot in the same manner.

Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (not including Galaxy Map)
Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (Not including Galaxy Map)
=============================================================
AUTHOR: Sith Holocron, Dark Hope, and Xarwarz
ORIGINAL RELEASE: 06 APR 2016
UPDATED RELEASE 01: 19 JAN 2019
UPDATED RELEASE 02: 09 APR 2022
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2
Description:
------------
When Xarwarz was working on a sample of a monitor texture for the Ebon Hawk, I had suggested to him that it could use a bit of animation to liven it up. Towards that end, I asked Quanon
if he could render out a frame frames of a wire-frame model of the Ebon Hawk. I added in some sine wave activity and threw in some Aurebesh for good measure. One of the monitors was now animated.
The other frames have more subtle animations in them - you can see the computer inputs going up and down and various colors changing around.
Though I've placed this in the Knights of the Old Republic 2 section, this mod is compatible with both games.
Installation:
-------------
For Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2 - Extract the "LEH_scre01.tga" and the "LEH_scre01.txi" files into the SWKotOR2/Override folder.
For Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 - Extract the "LEH_scre01`.tga" and the "LEH_scre01.txi" files into the Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic/Override folder.

Hairy Hanharr! (a HD retex of Hanharr)
By Constar
Have you ever wondered why there is a bunch of retextures for every teammate but Hanharr? Even NPCs who are not even part of your party, like atris and sion, have a lot of new texture projects dedicated to them...
So why not poor Hanharr? Yes, he is one of the least popular party members, but there are even textures for GOTO, so this can't be the reason alone. The main reason is all that hair, in my honest opinion. It is really a pain in the (swears in Huttish). I couldn't let poor Hanharr sit between all those shiny HD textures looking like he was pulled straight out of an Commodore 64. Frankly, his texture was bad from the beginning, even for 2004 standards. So I remade it. I put a lot of work in this and I hope you like it.
Because there is such an abundance of skins for other characters I felt like 1 texture for Hanharr wouldn't do. So I made 2.
Version 1 (With Scar) features a scar on his stomach, to show in what condition he is and what he's been through. (Screenshot for reference)
Version 2 (Without Scar) just doesn't have that scar If you don't want to have blood and similar content in your game, this Version is for you.
Installation:
Move the P_Hanharr.dds from the "with scar" or "without scar" folder into your override folder

Jedi Hermit Robes
Some of the Dark Jedi/Sith Assassin robes in TSL were repurposed versions of Jolee Bindo’s model from K1. Because the original model and texture for Jolee’s robes weren’t included in TSL, and due to issues concerning porting content from one game to the other, this mod adds a retinted version of the TSL Dark Jedi/Sith Assassin robes to approximate the original look of Jolee’s robes in K1. Note that this does not include the lowered hood like the K1 version, as that was physically removed from the mesh. However, one bonus is that TSL added a female version of the mesh, so this is available for both male and female characters.
Because of restrictions with the way body models in KOTOR work, the only way to add the model without replacing an entire class of existing clothes/armour/robe models is as a disguise. The problem with the disguise functionality is that is replaces the entire body, including the head. In order to show a head, a separate appearance is required for every single player and party member head. In other words, each version of the item will show a specific head, regardless of whatever head you usually have. The item name references which particular head it will show, so choose the one that matches your regular head. Refer to the player head reference chart or check your head ID in KSE. Note that this only includes vanilla heads. If you use a custom head mod then you will need to modify the head ID value in one of the added appearance.2da rows to point to your custom head’s heads.2da ID.
The item has the base stats of a Jedi Master Robe and is upgradeable.
INSTALLATION
Extract the archive and run TSLPatcher to install. Add the robes to your inventory via KSE or console command. There are 40 versions of the item to cover all player/party heads. Simply add whichever are appropriate. Item use is restricted by player, sex, and party member, as appropriate.
KNOWN BUGS/ISSUES
Both the TSL and original versions of the model have some issues with backface clipping of the "skirt" polys that cause some shading errors. This is an inherent issue in the model and not due to anything this mod does. It simply uses a hex edited version of the original models, they are otherwise untouched. Trying to fix it would probably cause more trouble than it would solve.
While the robe is upgradeable, in the Workbench rotating display it shows a commoner clothes model. I don't think this is resolvable because of the way the mod works. It adds two new entries to baseitems.2da, but it has to specify a pre-existing Body Variation (B in this case, clothing). I can't get it to show the Jolee robes model without replacing one of the base body types, which would defeat the whole point of going the disguise route.
While I did some basic testing to ensure that the items were equippable and didn't cause any crashes, the mod has not had any proper testing. Thus, I am releasing it here as a DS exclusive beta in the hope that some of you lot will play guinea pig.
As an additional note, the texture is not very good, basically just a quick and dirty colour overlay of the TSL texture. If anyone wants to do a proper version then by all means feel free to volunteer.
Also, I think I got all the heads, but let me know if I missed any.

Twin Mullet Men
By redrob41
This mod will add two new, playable heads. They are based on the fan favourite head from KotOR 1 known as "Mullet Man" (PMHC04). I have modified TSL assets (to avoid porting), mostly PMHH01 model and texture to get as close as possible to the original appearance. There is also a second head model where I cribbed together parts of PMHH01 with the long spiky hair from N_ZezKaiEllH and the bangs from PMHC04 (again, only using TSL assets).
Thanks to MDLOps 0.7 Alpha, both heads now have smooth edges and epic hair.
You get to choose, which of the twins will you rule the galaxy with?

Lightsaber Textures
By Izanasz
A simple mod that changes the colors of the lightsabers in the game. I always thought they were a bit off, some less, some more.
I'm very well aware that there are going to be people who don't like certain colors. Tough luck. I don't mind criticism at all, I say HIT ME with it, but, please, refrain from whining and saying things that I can only reply "Mhm" to (e.g. "oh my god, I hate the orange color, it's not even orange, it's [whatever]"). If you hate something so much that you'd rather see me burn in a pool of lava, my advice is: open photoshop and change whatever you want, it ain't that hard.
The "Alt" folder contains some alternatives. Some of the changes are unnoticeable, some of them are rather obvious. The second screenshot shows these colors.
PS: that weird property of the blue, red, green and yellow lightsabers that causes them to look thinner from behind and much thicker from the front; I don't know how to fix that. I tried tweaking the models, but I failed horribly. It's the models, or the shaders or I don't know, but there's nothing I can do about it. Apologies.
No compatibility problems. There are none, there can be none. It's just a simple texture mod. I'm 99,9% sure about that. Also, no black-core lightsabers, there are shading issues, it won't work, it'll look off and horrible and just NO. You hear me? NO.
Installation: simply drag whichever files for respective lightsaber colors you want into the override folder.

TSL ORIGINS - Telos Overhaul
By Jorak Uln
Unlike its predecessor, the Complete Overhaul for K1, the purpose of this texture mod is to preserve the original look of the game,
while using different texturing techniques to give the old game engine a modern look, emulating shine & vector based animations from the Mass Effect series.
Im sorry guys that i cant provide screenshots at the moment, my graphics card is malfunctioning.
Installation:
Download the file, extract its contents with an archive extraction tool such as 7zip or WinRAR, and move the contents to the override folder for your game.
Enjoy!

Custom Party Member Portraits
By Shem
Original Review on FIlefront:
As promised, the Knights of the Old Republic II update of Shem's Custom Party Member Portraits mod is here! For those of you unfamiliar with the mod, Shem has replaced all of the party member portraits--and I mean all party members. The new portraits are close-up screenshots on a light-colored background, as opposed to the hand-drawn style of the originals.
Now, one of the major differences between KotOR I and KotOR II is that in K1 there are only nine party members, and that was it. Well, ten if you include Trask. And you can't change any of their alignments (without cheating ), so they have no dark side transitions. Well, in K2, everything changes. There are a total of twelve party members, several of which have dark side transitions. And of course Shem has made new portraits for each party member, dark side transitions included. Note that this only applies to the five trainable Jedi: Atton, Bao-Dur, Brianna the Handmaiden, Mical the Disciple, and Mira. If and when they fall to the dark side, they will get the Sith eyes featured in one of Shem's other mods. Visas doesn't have any eyes, so instead she gets a different color background, and she faces in a different direction. Oh, and Bao-Dur also has his dark side tattoos.
Now, remember how I said that every party member gets a portrait? Well, yup, all of them, including C3-FD, that little utility droid from the Prologue (for those of you who even play it ), as well as temporary characters B-4D4 and Bao-Dur's remote. And even Atris gets a new portrait, even though she's not actually a party member; there is some evidence that the developers intended for her to be one originally, since they took the time to make her a portrait, and some her files have the "Player_" prefix reserved for party members. In any case, Shem decided to give Atris a new portrait, for fun (apparently ).
And not only that, but there are a few alternates to choose from. Just like in the K1 version, HK-47 gets an alternate portrait, featuring the smart-mouthed assassin droid brandishing one of his beloved blaster rifles. Also included is an alternate portrait for Kreia her hood off, to go along with another mod Shem released, and Mandalore/Canderous with his helmet off, since Obsidian made a Canderous model with his helmet off, but never had time to add it to the game.
Not much else to say. If you like the new portraits, then click the download button now. Enjoy!
NOTE: Please leave comments/feedback for the author, especially if you download and use this mod; usually it's the only reward modders receive for their efforts.

Movie-Style Dark Side Transitions
By Shem
Original Review on Filefront:
As we saw in Episode 3, the Dark Side does not automatically mean you start looking like Darth Sion on a bad skin day. It's a far more subtle, quiet thing to fall. The changes are subtle, aside from yellowed eyes glowing with the Dark Side's power.
Shem broken out these faces of the Dark Side for our Exiles, male and female. However, when the Exile goes Dark, she/he does not go alone. Therefore, there are DS transitions for every member of the Exile's crew! Now, you can watch the subtle evil creep across the Handmaiden's face or see Mira's face grow stony. That, and Atton still retains his lady-killer face while reverting back to literal lady-killer status.
Again, roses and onions will allow the modder to make more and better mods in the future. It is also the only payment modders receive for the hours of hard work that goes into a project.
