There are two puzzles in the two apartment complexes located in the lower city of Taris. Each complex contains a puzzle the player can figure out to gain some basic rewards. Too basic if you ask me. This mod changes these rewards to be more substantial and worth the hassle, especially on repeat playthroughs where the solution has been memorized. The trivia puzzle contains a breathing mask only available at the end of the game, and then only in one of two ending paths. The mask is not even that great when compared to equipment available in the midgame. The Twisted Rancor Trio puzzle now contains the rare Yusanis Dueling Shield, perfect for use in the arena. Both also contain the armors that are originally granted for completing the puzzles along with stacks of credits. The credits are of special note if using the "Tougher Merchants" mod by koaandl. As an added bonus I also removed the 'quest item' tag from "The Twisted Rancor Trio" datapad. Normally the game removes all quest items obtained on Taris after leaving the planet with the exception of this datapad. An oversight by the original developers no doubt. Without the tag you can take it, read it and then be rid of it. This mod had to be implemented through modification of the module files directly because of file name sharing. This mod also comes as is and not in TSL Patcher form for the benefit of Android users. It would likely be incompatible with K1R so there really is no point for a patcher version. Installation: Drop both module files into the "modules" folder and overwrite (I recommend making backups) the originals inside if prompted to. For Android users you must create a folder named "modules" in the same directory as your mod override folder on your device if you don't already have said folder. This is a mirror. The main file can be found on Nexusmods. Updates will be found, and feedback should be directed, there. Summary This mod removes all of the fourth wall breaks and tutorial sections that crop up at the beginning of the game. If you turn off tutorial pop-ups, you will not receive a single tutorial message or informative instruction, designed to take you out of the game, and teach you something that you already found out in your other dozen playthroughs of the Endar Spire. Trask is completely gone (though you might find the aftermath of his fight with Darth Bandon), and the player now escapes the Endar Spire without his nagging instructions. You can now power through the intro of the game if you like. Doors have been unlocked, allowing the player to progress through the level without being forced to using battle droids or melee weapons to approach combat situations. These features are also available in my Jedi from the Start mod, which also allows you to start as a Jedi. Features All tutorial elements removed from the Endar Spire and Taris Requirements & Compatibility Installation Read the Readme file, it will give you instructions on how to use the "Installer.exe" file to install the mod There is a "Manual Installation" option available for anyone who cannot use the Installer for whatever reason Tutorial Remover should be installed on a new installation, with KotOR 1 Restoration already installed if you plan to use it [*]Compatibility The mod is fully compatible with KotOR 1 Restoration The mod is fully compatible with Carth's Republic Uniform and Flight Suit Most mods should be compatible, unless they edit the Endar Spire, or the Taris Appartment Jedi from the Start is not compatible, but it does exactly the same things as this mod, making this redundant if you use that Recommended Mods Jedi from the Start does the same things as this mod, but also lets you be a Jedi Other Links If you would like to know what else I am working on, you can follow me on my Twitter. View File Hidden Bek Control Room Restoration A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic Author: N-DReW25 Release Date: 26.08.2016 Release Date 1.1: 10.10.2018 Installation: Simply Copy and Paste or Drag and Drop ALL the files within the "For Override" into your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder Uninstallation: Remove or Delete the files from your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic override folder Description: In the Hidden Bek Base, their is a door labelled "Control Room" which cannot be unlocked, unlike the security doors that can be unlocked once you decide to finish a certain quest dark side. I found this annoying as the Control Room's interior is on the module loading screen, what this mod does is restore the Control Room and a small bit of Restored Content. This is less of 'cut content' and more of 'broken content' as I have reason to suspect this door was working on the Xbox version Known Bugs: This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream. Incompatibilities: Would be incompatible with anything that edits "tar11_lockdoo001.utd" Permissions: Do NOT claim credit for this mod Thanks: Bioware for such an amazing game Fred Tetra for Kotor Tool and everyone who downloads the mod. 15. Hey guys! It's Reztea here, once again with a small, hopefully turned big mod, I'm currently making a mod as to where you have the opportunity to take down the Sith Quarantine on Taris, onto doing that, you will have a choice to make and that choice will affect whether Taris is destroyed or not (We'll see). This mod will include a new recruit (replacing Juhani of course). A new storyline for the recruit (Again, I don't know about that, possibly in another version.) Let me know what you guys think! A couple things! Please list any mods that you need ensured compatibility with, and answer the polls! Thank you! EDIT: Can a moderator please transfer this over to the work in progress section? I'm sorry to be a burden
  16. Hello, I have recently acquired KOTOR via Steam, and only a few days ago, I decided to install a couple of mods to enhance the game. I only have three mods, being Space Alex's K1 Enhancement pack (Restored Content) and Invisible head fix, and Weapon remodel/texture fixes by Fallen Guardian and Toasty Fresh. One problem I had immediately was when I was in the Black Vulkar Base, I was unable to access the Sub-level as whenever I attempted to use the security terminal, it would say there was a conversation node error. I had to resort to using a couple of warp codes to advance through the quest, yet I found myself in another rut yesterday. I'm at the Swoop Race track, and every time I get ready for a race, I get a message from someone who was added with the mod, as she would say some details about the Prototype accelerator. After she finishes, the screen would go black, but nothing happens after that. All I'm able to do is click on the screen, and a majority of the time, I end up talking to the race announcer again to plan my race. I tried to use the save editor to advance myself manually to say I won the race, but it didn't work. Is there a way to fix this without having to reinstall the game? Thanks in advance!
