  1. Are there plans for TSL textures down the line? If so, will you use higher resolution versions from KotOR 1 when applicable?
  2. Why not upload it here, now that it has been found?
  3. Was there anything else you tried? Just thought I'd ask for those troubleshooters that follow...
  4. Thanks for the reply even though I have no idea what this means as a non-PhotoShop user. If there are follow up questions for DarthParametric, please tag him in your response!
  5. I believe it's been a while since I've made a request. I'll make this brief as I think the title pretty much covers it. Might anyone be interested in making a tutorial for making bump maps - specifically with the novice in mind? Granted as most of you use PhotoShop, it'll be of significantly less use to me. However I'm sure it would make those making new texture mods with PhotoShop pop quite a bit.
  6. We're all in trouble the day that I have to consider making an official tutorial. Doubly so, when it's the second person expressing confusion to me about this topic within a week. Until I do get around to writing up something like that, I hope this page on the Czerka Corp. R & D Wiki may be of some use.
  7. If you like this mod, you may also be interested in another mod that reuses DarthSapiens' T3-M4 texture. Refurbished Astromech Droids uses the same T3-M4 skin to upgrade the 3 other reskins of the Astromech droids found in both games. The coloring of the texture remains pretty darn faithful to the original color schemes as well. (I may be biased though.) Edit: I just noticed that N-DReW25 already linked the mod in the description. That's it - I'm going to bed! LOL
  8. I appreciate the self own, especially as I did something quite similar in an unfinished project. Just wanted to have something to point other people towards in the future to avoid these sorts of things. If anyone else would like to chime in, have at it.
  9. 2022 OutsideXbox - May 12th, 2022 OutsideXbox's video: 7 Times Fans Had to Fix the Game There are more than a few errors in the video for the TSLRCM section of the video. Feel free to let them know what they are in their video's comments!
  10. So I had a random thought: What sort of things should be in a KOTOR/TSL mod trailer? And what sort of things shouldn't be bothered with? Keep in mind that I'm thinking of larger scale mods: think planet mods, arena mods, or any of the larger content mods. Other questions I was thinking about: what's a good length of a trailer? If you wish to get into specifics like teaser trailers compared to a a final release trailer, feel free to do so.
  11. Finally installing the KOTOR1 Full Mod Build from the KOTOR Subreddit.  Let's see how long this takes. ;)

I must have screwed something up. Back to the drawing board.

Redid the widescreen section and it seems - fingers crossed - that I may have it working now.  Will report back later after watching the new Dr. Strange movie.

Tested a save provided by another user.  Loaded fine but only after turning off the Frame Buffer Effects (which the Guide did mention in it's troubleshooting section.)  Was able to take screenshots in something that'll probably uploaded by someone else in the next few days.

As for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse Madness, I have found a movie that makes me dislike Danny Elfman very much.

I survived last night so all is well. What are your plans for Revenge of the 5th?

  13. I thought I might take another crack at enhancing one of my old mods.  However, I'm realizing I probably need to look at a tutorial on alpha channels as they relate to droids (or other metal objects).  Might someone have a link to a good one that would cover that sort of thing?  If such a thing doesn't exist, might someone whip one up aimed at a nove?  (A novice level tutorial would help out other folks as well as myself.)

There's not much to it. The alpha is essentially a transparency mask that lets the envmap show through the diffuse. Keep bits you don't want shiny white, and make bits you do want shiny some level of grey. The darker the grey, the more the envmap shows and the shinier that bit will look.

  14. I don't understand why he missed the link in the post directly above his.
This is a job well done. And you saved me the time of having to do the Malachor V panels. In my variation of your Malachor monitors, I recolored them red to fit with the rest of Malachor's theming, but a nice job overall. And as stated elsewhere, the Telos panel was done before but yours is quite nice. (I'll probably be using your version rather my own!)
  15. PER_CPanel.tga was included in my Peragus Medical Monitors and Computer Panel since 2018. But yours looks nice.
  16. It all got worked out so that is a relief.
  17. If you downloaded my Upscaled (TSL Specific) Protocol Droids mod, I would suggest you downloaded a newly corrected version.  Information on changes on the linked download page.

  18. Thanks for the kind words but a problem has been discovered with my textures - no alpha channels on the Czerka droid textures. This will be remedied soon along with the correct TXI. Package has been updated!

Upscaled (TSL Specific) Protocol Droids A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic 2 Authors: @Dark Hope, @ScrierOne, and Sith Holocron Release Date: 27 MAR 2022 Background: Let’s make my description short for once. Dark Hope made a mod with hi-res textures for KotOR1 droids. ScrierOne noticed that Dark Hope didn’t do a droid texture for TSL (probably because she mainly does work for KotOR1) so he did one of those AI upscales for the Czerka droid texture. Meanwhile, I was working from Dark Hope’s textures to upscale a texture that apparently was in M4-78 EP that I didn’t recall. Seeing a theme, I decided to combine Dark Hope and ScrierOne’s work into one texture. I made versions using Dark Hope’s take on eyes and my own version. See screenshots above to determine your taste. This mod package doesn’t include Dark Hope’s original takes on Protocol Droids which would also work in TSL. It is highly recommended that you grab those too. Installation: First, extract 7z file to your desktop. Do not extract it to your Override folder. (That way lies madness.) Now with choice comes responsibility. You must choose which version of the textures you wish to use - either the "Original DH Eyes" version or the "Obsidian Version". (You can always delete the files mentioned and check out the other version.) Copy and Paste the files from the respective folder to the Override dfolder. You MUST overwrite the files already inside the override folder. If you don’t have M4-78 EP, I would suggest skipping using the C_prot_781.tga and C_prot_781.txi files. You won’t need them. Uninstallation: Remove or Delete the files from your Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic 2 override folder. Copy the contents of the Backup folder into your override folder (The Backup folder contains the M4-78EP skybox) Known Bugs: None. Incompatibilities: Incompatible with anything that edits the texture for the Czerka Droid. And there aren’t any textures that reskin that M4-78 EP droid as far as I know. Permissions: All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc., I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless by permission of the mod author. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. Use of these files are at your own risk and the authors take no responsibility for any damage caused to your computer by the usage of these files. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use. Special Thanks: · Dark Hope and ScrierOne for their kind permission in using their materials for this mod. · Everyone who downloads the mod. (Please leave feedback!)
