T3 skins for KotOR 2 not working.
confuuzed replied to confuuzed's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
The T3 skins mod requires the player to start a new game, so I'd like to make sure things are done correctly, otherwise the skin mod for T3 probably won't work. Unfortunately changing the files names isn't working. Do you have any other suggestions? -

I am using the Galaxy of Faces mod. I warped to Manaan and Yortal has his "Galaxy of Faces" appearance. Also, one of the Ithorians outside the Jedi enclave is green and the other has a default appearance with blue clothing. And yes, the Apartment Duros has his default appearance in the apartments. I did have to delete the "n_duros001.utc" file after it was causing Hulas to spawn in place of that Duros. I found that file in KSR 2022.

Version 5.3 has just been uploaded. I am in the process of going through much of the TLK content and I expect more typos will be spotted in the future.

In TSL they expanded on script functionality, so it's certainly possible to have a generic script that parses a string in the DLG to set a global. However, I'm not sure I recall ever seeing something like that. I'm only aware of starting conditional checks, like so:

Hmm. Sorry about my ignorance about this topic, but do those script references you are looking at include values set via conversation options? I was trying to find it in the dlg editor and I couldn’t find it, but am I almost certain I have seen a few of those in there, or maybe I am confusing them with similar named ones.

I don't see any references to it in either vanilla or TSLRCM scripts. The only "000_Hand" references I can see are to 000_Hand_Finale and 000_Handmaiden_Dead in 262TEL_Telos_Secret_Academy/a_kreatris. That's despite there being a bunch: 000_Hand_Angry 000_Hand_Atris_PC 000_Hand_Dad_Teach 000_Hand_Father 000_Hand_Finale 000_Hand_Love 000_Hand_Mom_PC 000_Hand_React_Evil 000_Hand_React_Good 000_Hand_Trial 000_Handmaiden_Dead 000_Handmaiden_Force 000_Handmaiden_Jedi

In Kreia’s dialogue file, Handmaiden’s romance lines are governed by a global referred to as 000_Hand_Love (yes, it’s a funny name). I cannot find what supposedly activates this. Is it restored in TSLRCM? Is it in vanilla? Visas’s romance global is triggered by her romance scene but to my knowledge, Handmaiden has no such equivalent. She does have a dialogue that is very similar to the speech that Visas gives during her romance scene, but that doesn’t trigger the global either. I checked all over her dialogue file and the one at the Telos academy. Does anyone know anything about this global value?

Curious. Can you use the cheat console to warp to Manaan and check up on Yortal the Droid Merchant? If you've installed the K1 Alien Pack and NOT the Galaxy of Faces mod then Yortal should look greenish. Now if you HAVE installed the Galaxy of Faces mod with the K1 Alien Pack, Yortal will instead look like this: If Yortal isn't green, or if you don't have Galaxy of Faces and Yortal still isn't green and is unchanged from vanilla, warp to the module "danm14aa" and see if there are two Ithorians outside the Sublevel door. If none of these changes are present then you must've forgotten to install the Ithorian Component of the K1 Alien Pack. You mean like this? The idea behind the Apartment Duros is that he should always have green skin, but in the Apartment he's wearing clothes whilst in the Sith Base he's in stereotypical prison orange. However, this component for the Apartment Duros is part of the Galaxy of Faces mod and NOT the K1 Alien Pack. Are you using the Galaxy of Faces mod? And if you are, can you please confirm that the Duros in the apartment has matching green skin (but no matching outfit) to his Sith Base appearance?

Alright. Well I'll take a second look at it in there and see if it works out. Thanks!

Yes, that's tk102's. FS just mirrored it here because the original host LucasForums/SWKnights went down.

I do not know. But the one I am talking about was one I downloaded from this page when I went on a search to download tons of modding tools for this project. I made a second post on this (this one was an accidental post when I was editing it). If this is the one you are referencing, either I am blind or just didn't see it.

Hey everyone, I’m Rever$e (or Rever$e Studios — I use both names across most platforms). I’m relatively new to KOTOR modding, and I’m currently working on a small‑to‑medium sized expansion mod for KOTOR 1. It adds new questlines, a new character, custom items, and a few new modules. Right now I’m stuck on a problem with dialogue editing for a computer console in one of my custom ship modules. The console begins in a broken state, and after repairing it as part of a small side quest using custom plot items found in the module, it becomes a systems terminal that displays status information and quest‑related data. It functions similarly to the camera terminals in the base game, but text‑based instead. The issue I’m running into is specifically related to “Return” replies — the options that take the player back to a previous menu node. The Problem I’ve used FairStrides’ (tk102's) DLG Editor before, but it doesn’t have the linking features I need for this particular dialog. It works better for simple back‑and‑forth conversations. Because of that, I switched to Holocron Toolset, which includes a “Paste Entry as Link” feature. Edit: (I was told that it actually is able to link so I'll take a second look at it)

You mean tk102's? I'm not aware of FS making any dialogue editor. DLGEditor can absolutely do node links.

Okay, thank you for responding to my issue. I'll try to change the file name as you suggested. Thanks again! Okay, I changed the file names to t3m3 as you suggested. What about the files ending with .txi? Do I need to change them too? - Last week
