  1. @timurD2003, did you mean this droid from M4-78 (shown below) had no shadow for it? If so, you might want to report that issue in the M4-78 EP bug report thread. Please do note which version of the the M4-78 Enhancement Project you're using, friend. Everyone else: Looking at the picture above - taken from an old version of M4-78 EP - I also see no shadows. If confirmed that the lack of shadows for L5-65 is still an issue for the 1.5 version of the EP, I'm sure @zbyl2 would appreciate assistance in fixing this issue.

It's only 8 am here.  Don't think the polls are open yet here.  Going to change into non-work clothing now, to prepare.

Just got back from voting.  Now . . .  a few hours of sleep before I have to wake up and go to the dentist.

  3. There are two versions of HK-55. Which one? Provide pictures.
  4. As Nar Shaddaa is a den of villainy, it only makes sense to have a few games of chance to part the suckers from their credits. What better way to show this (without dialogue) than including some of the slot machines seen in SWTOR? However, certain slot machines are better than others. The ones I refer to have animations on them and in SWYOR, are only seen during the Nar Shaddaa Nightlife event which happens only once a year. I've attached a few pictures so you can see the slot machines - one type has a green screen and the other - a KingPin machine - is purple. I'm not asking anyone to actually put them in the game but to make the machines (with the animations) available to those that wanted to do it themselves.
  5. Better late than never . . . Update 18FEB2019: Permission granted to make April Fool's Jokes out of this picture for mods that replace the regular logo with this.
  6. Hoping for assistance from you all.  I wish to work on splicing better sounding dialogue for Lt. Grenn for M4-78 EP mod. Might anyone be willing to find Davik Kang's voice files in KotOR1, convert them to normal WAV or MP3s, and send them my way?  (I'm getting the voice actor's lines from SWTOR as I type this.) With more words, I can probably construct more convincing dialogue to work with. This wasn't a request by Zbyl2 so this'll be all on me. Thanks.

      great news to hear!

here always looking for better sounds for M4 (and big voiced mods in general), so this is good to hear SH.

A question: How many of you have actually played M4-78 EP 1.5 yet?  I'd like to hear reviews in the M4-78 1.5 thread, if you have.

I was also trying to determine what may be good ideas to change in conversations of the the Ebon's Hawk crew on the landing pad cutscenes.  Again, I'm looking for responses only from folks that have played version 1.5.  Let's just say that I could add a lot more conversation from our favorite assassin droid now.

As long as all of you are here, had you noticed I updated one of my mods today?  Check it out here as you may find the change interesting.

  7. As I'm not working on this project at present, here would be some things that might help out someone else that might be working on this. Besides, if more than one person was working on this, just imagine the voice choices that could eventually grace the download area. 1) Though you have a transcript of all the lines that currently player's actions in the game, it also lists lines that never play in the game. The lines that don't play need to be figured out if you're to try save effort and possibly some money. And yes, the transcript has just been updated with what you'd need to save the female lines as. 2) Any one interested in acquiring a voice actor should know not only what lines she'd have to say but also exactly how many words she has to say. Voice actors usually record the lines in particular numbered batches so knowing the word count will help you know much you're going to pay. Of course, if you or a reliable friend is voicing this yourself, this is less of an issue. 3) IIRC, you'll want to want to save the voice files as mono. If I am recalling this incorrectly, let me know and I'll come back edit this post. This doesn't solve the issue of the voice lines not being heard in KotOR2 so leave that idea to the side for now. Just plan for the KotOR1 PC for the moment. When someone figures out a way to make the lines heard in KotOR2, that could return to the discussion. I am not opposed to the idea of moving this thread to the Request section if it is thought to be a more appropriate place for it.
  8. Very nicely done but you already know that as I recommended that you put it up here. I might have to update one of my mods as you gave me permission to use yours. When I'm done, you'll see it uploaded here with the proper credits added. Update: My new version of an old mod now using your texture is up now.
  9. @Dark Hope did the hard work. I only provided some light animation on the various controls. I told you they'd like it, DH!
  10. I just thought I should point out that my initial post was less of a request to do anything with this and more of a "isn't this interesting to consider" type of thing. That said: If someone wants to crack at this, I'd be happy to take a look at the results.
  11. @darthbdaman, I am glad you asked this question as I was unaware that the most current version of this fix pack has fixes to M4-78 as well, so I added it to my M4-78 mods blog. I am also wondering about your fix pack fits in with M4-78 EP 1.5.
  12. Thanks for posting this again for me, @Leilukin. I have asked @sEcOnDbOuToFiNsAnItY about this in a PM. (I wonder why he didn't offer the fix to @VarsityPuppet so that VP could include the fix in the mod - eliminating the need for a separate download. Perhaps one or both of them will respond to this publicly stated question.
  13. Sith Prophecy would probably work well as a font, but wondering what else you might suggest.
  14. Visas' meditation chamber have these obelisks in it with glowing Aurebesh runes carved into them. Looking closer at the runes, they form nonsense words. With this in mind, what do you think might be suitable word replacements? Keep in mind that both the blue versions and the red versions of the glyphs use the same characters.
  15. For this blog, I’m not covering other larger mods and their compatibility patches. These will be simple quality of life selections that will – in my humble opinion – enhance your play-through. As this section is essentially an opinion piece, your mileage may vary. This section covers the first part of the game, namely the Peragus Mining Colony and the Harbinger. All mods of the mods listed are compatible with TSLRCM. Peragus Tweak 1.4 by VarsityPuppet Adds dead miners to replace the burned and desiccated corpses usually found around the Peragus levels. Peragus Mining Gear 1.01 by Kainzorus Prime This mod changes the miner uniform found in the Peragus tunnels into gear that both looks fitting for space mining, as well as slightly boosting its stats. However, it also requires proficiency in light armors to be used now. Peragus Medical Monitors and Computer Panel by Sith Holocron This mod both increases base resolution of both the medical monitors (as seen when your character first wakes up on Peragus) and the various computer panels seen around the Peragus levels. Peragus Large Monitor Adjustment by Sith Holocron This small mod collection replaces textures for the large monitor seen on Peragus that overlooks the asteroid field. I wasn’t crazy about the low-resolution images in the smaller boxes off to the side so I decided to take a crack at it. I’ve kept to general idea of what were originally shown in those boxes so this difference won’t be too drastic. In addition, that old low-resolution asteroid animation just had to go. It has been replaced as well. Finally, that scrolling text box can now be read. Since the original text box was illegible, I decided to make my own. Whether you use this mod or not, I highly recommend using the next mod in this list to go with it. Peragus Administration Level Room Model Fixes by DarthParametric This mod addresses some minor geometry issues in the Peragus Administration level. It plugs two gaps in the ceiling that allow the player to see into space, and it also adjusts one of the animated panels on the large screen in the communications blister so that it aligns better. The panel and one of the ceiling fixes are for the exterior version of the level that you see from the maintenance walkway. “Replacement Peragus II Artwork by Trench” uploaded by Sith Holocron If you use my “Peragus Large Monitor Adjustment”, you’re going to want to use this upgrade that increases the quality of the Peragus II model. (That’s the texture of the planetoid with the exposed glowing core which miraculously hasn’t immediately cooled after being exposed to space?) This mod changes the texture of the planet inside the station, outside the station, and on the Large Monitor screen. There’s even two varieties of the planetoid to choose from. A Darker Peragus REDUX 1.0 by Malkior Peragus seems like it was supposed have more of a haunted house feeling, doesn’t. It being an area that’s seemingly abandoned with dead folks littering the ground, wouldn’t it help matters if it was a little darker to accent the creepiness of it all? This mod fixes that by editing the lightmaps and darkening all of the placeable items in the Peragus, Peragus Spacewalk, and Harbinger portions to match the darker lightmaps. Peragus Mining Laser by e-varmint (https://www.dropbox.com/s/2ss4lzd77k4yb0a/e-varmint%20-%20Peragus%20Mining%20Laser.zip?dl=0) Your first ranged weapon in the game – provided you’re not cheating – is likely to be the Pergaus Mining laser. Wouldn’t it be nice if that laser actually looked like a tool that a miner would actually use? This mod fixes that. Luckily, I still had this in my archive so now you can use it too! Here’s a short video so you can see a closer look at the model before you download. Harbinger Hull Fixes 1.1 by DarthParametric The Harbinger is apparently the Swiss cheese of spacecraft. It has more holes in it than a damn sieve. This mod is a combination and extension of my previous separate mods fixing various geometry and model issues with the Harbinger. Geometry has been tweaked or added, UVs adjusted, model hierarchies re-ordered, etc. where appropriate to remove gaps, fix incorrect light-maps, or address other problems. Improved Peragus Asteroid Fields by Vasilii Zaytsev It takes the default 2D asteroid field texture used in the Peragus asteroid fields in the tutorial/prologue and outside of the Ebon Hawk hangar bay, and replaces them with much nicer ones. HD Cockpit Skyboxes 2.0 by tjsase When you land the Ebon Hawk on a planet, you are able to look out of the cockpit and view the landing platform. This is achieved by a cylindrical texture. Since the vanilla textures were low res, inaccurate, and desaturated, tjsase recreated the platforms in Maya and rendered them to look as they do in-game. The main planets, including M4-78, are all remastered in 4096x1024. Replacement Loading Screens for KotOR2: Original Pack (with or without TSLRCM) - Part 1 by Sith Holocron Were you ever dissatisfied with the low-resolution loading screens when the in-game footage looks so much better? What if there was a mod that took care of that for you? Psssst . . . it’s this mod! Part 1 of this set covers the loading screens for the following areas: Peragus, Harbinger, Citadel Station, Telos IV, and the Ebon Hawk. This version of the mod covers the areas in the normal “vanilla” game and for some of the areas added/restored by TSLRCM. Fixed Hologram Models and Admiralty Redux for TSLRCM 1.6 by DarthParametric - This mod attempts to address some of the issues with holograms in TSL. In the vanilla game, the majority of holograms have things like eyeballs and teeth being visible through the head. This is caused by the way the game handles transparency, in conjunction with the order in which it renders the individual meshes that a model is comprised of. By changing the hierarchy of the meshes within these models, certain elements can be occluded, resulting in less cases of “bug-eyed” holograms. This is not a perfect solution however. Because meshes do not self-occlude, visual glitches still remain during certain animations and camera angles, but this is likely the best that can be done without being able to make alterations the game engine itself. Do you think I may have missed anything? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below. Update 18FEB2019: Do you think the Peragus Mining Gear that you wear after finally wearing more than your underwear is a little lackluster? Then try this mod from Kainzorus Prime on for size!
  16. What are your favorite mods to use for Peragus?  (Assume that TSLRCM is a requirement for this list.)  I want to make another "Set Decoration" blog and I want to hear what you have you say.  I'm only looking for mods that are currently released. (No work in progress mods please.)

Thanks for the reply, @L0ki194.  I'll make sure these are added to the list.  I have a few on the list already but always looking for more suggestions.  Modders, feel free to suggest your own Peragus mod suggestions.  Don't think of self-promotion as being self-serving as I'm specifically asking for the recommendations. ;)

Re: The Peragus Tweak mod, there is a bug that the corpse of the Dock Officer does not show up in the dormitories. The bug doesn't stop you from progressing the game, but if you want to get the most out of Peragus you may want to take note of that. You can PM@sEcOnDbOuToFiNsAnItY for the fix.

Another mod for Peragus I use is Malkior's Maintenance Officer Realistic Reskin (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/165-maintenance-officer-realistic-reskin/)

Oops - forgot to post that the Peragus/Harbinger blog is up now.  Might you repeat your suggestion there, @Leilukin?

  17. Posting both the questions and the answers is now a requirement for bug posting. Bug-fixing will considered only on the most recent versions of TSLRCM and/or M4-78 EP. This list is necessary for speedy replies to your issue even if you don’t use TSLRCM. It is highly recommended to post both the questions and the answers (with the answer following them) because the questions may be updated from time to time and folks on the site may not be checking the list regularly. This list must be provided for each issue you come up with. (You have a few threads on playing the game open at the moment so you’ll have to go in to those posts and edit them.) 1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur? Provide details. 2) Did you install the latest version of the TSLRCM and M4-78 EP mods? (1.8.5 and 1.5 respectively.) The creators only provide assistance for the most current version of those mods. 3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) 4) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version? 5) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY) 6) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file? 7) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (Even the Staff members don't actually know them all!) 8- Can you be more specific about the error? What were you doing in the game when it happened? 9) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod? 10) Have you tried using a different save game? 11) Have you tried starting a new game? 12) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well, if you are using them.) 13) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the main menu screen? 14) If using M4-78 EP, did you see the new screen that replaced the original loading screen? 15) What language is your game set for? 16) Which language of TSLRCM are you using? 17) Are you playing this on a laptop or a desktop computer? 18) Did you install TSLRCM after you started your game? 19) What fixe/s have you already attempted and what was/were the result/s?
  18. I believe the Staff have limited ports to between KotOR1, TSL, and SWTOR. If I'm misstating things, I hope the Staff will correct my misunderstanding.
  19. I just placed my order for a SATA to USB cable.  I guess it's time to finally start working installing that SSD of mine.

  20. To give a little secret away, Zbyl2 forgot which number they were up to. Hence the jump.
  21. I'm just one guy so feel free to ignore my idea. I suppose showing different options and getting a wider opinion is probably a better idea. But first, someone's got to port the models so . . . I'll just put that cart back behind the horse.
