Appreciated, VP.

Possibly. I'm just going to stick to talking about Apeiron in this thread though. I am headed off to sleep now but if anyone posts a comment on the YouTube comment section, could you let us know about it?
-
I just hope more folks point out in the comment section of the video that Apeiron wasn't a mod. (Right now, it's mostly folks using the C&D news as an excuse to bash Disney in general about their studio's SW movies or commenting on EA's lackluster games, which seems a bit off-topic to me.)

Differences between Reviews and Comments?
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in Site Feedback
@JCarter426: Speaking to you as a mod uploader, how important are comments to you if they haven't even downloaded your mod? -
That quote amused me. Yes, I know it wasn't you. My comment (under "scarletguard") checks a lot of your other boxes.
-
Looks like SidAlpha has gotten a few of the salient points wrong. I dropped my own thoughts in the comment section on the video's page but feel free to add your own.

Differences between Reviews and Comments?
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in Site Feedback
Exactly! -
I was wondering if anyone might be able to explain the difference between "reviews" left for uploads and "comments." As they can both have text attached to them, I was trying to figure out why they are in two separate categories.

@Jorak Uln, it might be better if you make the loading screens with your new textures as only you know which ones will be altered. As my wife and I are still in Hawaii on my 10th anniversary, I can't do much ATM. However, I can point out what I did and what I used when we get home. PM me Saturday or beyond, if interested. One other thing: I am looking forward to what sort of animations you make for the Peragus medical monitors.

Request: Re-skinning the Swoop Rider model for K1&2
Sith Holocron replied to DarthVarkor's topic in Mod Requests
He mentioned that he hadn't worked with K2 yet before. I imagine he'll provide one when he's ready. -
Not sure what I’d object to as more options liven the community. If @Jorak Uln wants me to make a new loading screen for the large Peragus monitor, I’d need the new textures and also to know - like you pointed out @Squall Lionhart- if Jorak is doing both sides of the monitor.

Warping onto the Swoop Tracks? (KOTOR & TSL)
Sith Holocron replied to DarthVarkor's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
That's how I got these three shots anyway . . . However, I hope Kexikus will be able to explain his method to you. Best to have multiple options to work with. -
Warping onto the Swoop Tracks? (KOTOR & TSL)
Sith Holocron replied to DarthVarkor's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Other than the beginning or the end of the race, what difference does that actually make though? Think about it this way. How would anyone know if you're "walking the camera backwards" if you then reverse the footage? -
Warping onto the Swoop Tracks? (KOTOR & TSL)
Sith Holocron replied to DarthVarkor's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Might I suggest using GLIntercept, pausing the swoop race you want, going into first person mods, and capturing your footage that way? (You might have to go into first person, then pause - I forget the order that I did it in to get screen capturess for my loading screens.) -

View File Peragus Medical Monitors and Computer Panel MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 03 OCT 2018 MOST CURRENT RELEASE: 22 NOV 2024 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords Description: The video on the download page covers what I’ve done with the Medical Monitors you encounter at the start of your game. The “PER_Cpanel.tga” texture has been remade from ground up. First off, it uses a new upscaled version of the texture to bring it from 256 x 256 to 1024 x 1024. Then, I added new blinking LEDs. Also included: new tachometers to replace the old meters. And there are new monitors . . . and those have 8 frames of animation. The “PER_Cpan” and “PER_Cpin” textures are also new. PER_Cpan uses a upscaled version of the texture to bring it from 256 x 256 to 1024 x 1024. Then I added new LEDs. The “PER_Cpin” texture is now sized at 256 x 256 (upscaled to twice its original size) with 4 frames of animation and new lighted buttons. The final new texture is PER_Tek2 has 16 frames on animation. I used Thor110’s upscale of the texture added a frame around it and created the missing TXI file. Installation: Put all TGA and TXI files into your KotOR2 Override folder. Uninstallation: Take them out again. Known Bugs: None known at this time. (None were ever reported for the first release.) Special Thanks: To ConansHair: For providing the upscaled “PER_Cpanel.tga” in the previous version of this mod and for helpful feedback. Though I used my own upscale for this updated version, I wanted to keep this shout out intact. To Malkior: For suggestions on texture inclusions (including the fader levels on the lower left -most monitor. To Fair Strides: For helpful feedback. To Thor110 for making his upscale package a modder’s resource – indispensable for the PER_Tek2 texture. Additional Information: If you're curious what the monitors on the Computer Panel looked like before I shrank them down, look below. Keep in mind that GIF speeds are not indicative of speeds of animations in the game. And in the video below, you can see what the Medical Monitors look like in the game. Blog #87 - I want your TOP 10 issues with the M4-78 EP
Sith Holocron posted a blog entry in Sith Holocron's Blog
I'll have to get working on the rest of the YouTube documentary eventually but I'm going to need your input in order to proceed. I'd like you to list which version you played, either version 1.2 or version 1.3. This is very important as some issues may have been fixed in 1.3 that were present in 1.2 ! (However, I still want to hear them as the documentary will cover each version in chronological order.) I'd like you to list where you acquired the mod. (Was it from here, MODDB, Steam?) I'd like you to list up to 10 reasons each - and no more than that - of what were the most significant issues you thought were holding this mod back. Throw your well-written walls of text at me. If you can't think of 10 right away but can think of some more later to bring it closer (or all the way to) 10, you can update your entry at a later date. One entry per person. (Hence me mentioning about the updates.) This shouldn't be considered a debate thread as I won't be defending the mod. I just want to hear what you have to say. Your quotes may be pulled from your entries below to show the perceived common consensus among players. Thank you for reading. PS: I'll be in Hawaii for about a week so I'll not be glued to the site. I look forward to reading your comments when I get back. -
@Bovolt, JCarter426 has the resources and has offered to assist if folks that the lips can follow his instructions. See here for more information.

KotOR & TSL Ramble
Sith Holocron replied to Rtas Vadum's topic in Knights of the Old Republic General
As long as you're pointing out in the mod descriptions of redundancies, you might want to point out that High Quality Ravager Backdrop 2.0 is also already in TSL Backdrop Improvements.
