MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 03 OCT 2018 MOST CURRENT RELEASE: 22 NOV 2024 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords Description: The video on the download page covers what I’ve done with the Medical Monitors you encounter at the start of your game. The “PER_Cpanel.tga” texture has been remade from ground up. First off, it uses a new upscaled version of the texture to bring it from 256 x 256 to 1024 x 1024. Then, I added new blinking LEDs. Also included: new tachometers to replace the old meters. And there are new monitors . . . and those have 8 frames of animation. The “PER_Cpan” and “PER_Cpin” textures are also new. PER_Cpan uses a upscaled version of the texture to bring it from 256 x 256 to 1024 x 1024. Then I added new LEDs. The “PER_Cpin” texture is now sized at 256 x 256 (upscaled to twice its original size) with 4 frames of animation and new lighted buttons. The final new texture is PER_Tek2 has 16 frames on animation. I used Thor110’s upscale of the texture added a frame around it and created the missing TXI file. Installation: Put all TGA and TXI files into your KotOR2 Override folder. Uninstallation: Take them out again. Known Bugs: None known at this time. (None were ever reported for the first release.) Special Thanks: To ConansHair: For providing the upscaled “PER_Cpanel.tga” in the previous version of this mod and for helpful feedback. Though I used my own upscale for this updated version, I wanted to keep this shout out intact. To Malkior: For suggestions on texture inclusions (including the fader levels on the lower left -most monitor. To Fair Strides: For helpful feedback. To Thor110 for making his upscale package a modder’s resource – indispensable for the PER_Tek2 texture. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. Ever. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use. Messages that request permission without providing information on how your alternate version would be different than mine should be considered an instant denial of permission. Additional Information: If you're curious what the monitors on the Computer Panel looked like before I shrank them down, look below. Keep in mind that GIF speeds are not indicative of speeds of animations in the game. And in the video below, you can see what the Medical Monitors look like in the game.
  2. Newbiemodder's mod uses the texture but it is named differently in his mod. I created the texture for personal use. I don't feel the pull to work on any other textures at this time.
  3. Had a problem or more with the M4-78 EP?  I want to hear from you.  Blog #87 online.

  4. I'll have to get working on the rest of the YouTube documentary eventually but I'm going to need your input in order to proceed. I'd like you to list which version you played, either version 1.2 or version 1.3. This is very important as some issues may have been fixed in 1.3 that were present in 1.2 ! (However, I still want to hear them as the documentary will cover each version in chronological order.) I'd like you to list where you acquired the mod. (Was it from here, MODDB, Steam?) I'd like you to list up to 10 reasons each - and no more than that - of what were the most significant issues you thought were holding this mod back. Throw your well-written walls of text at me. If you can't think of 10 right away but can think of some more later to bring it closer (or all the way to) 10, you can update your entry at a later date. One entry per person. (Hence me mentioning about the updates.) This shouldn't be considered a debate thread as I won't be defending the mod. I just want to hear what you have to say. Your quotes may be pulled from your entries below to show the perceived common consensus among players. Thank you for reading. PS: I'll be in Hawaii for about a week so I'll not be glued to the site. I look forward to reading your comments when I get back.
  5. @Bovolt, JCarter426 has the resources and has offered to assist if folks that the lips can follow his instructions. See here for more information.
  6. As long as you're pointing out in the mod descriptions of redundancies, you might want to point out that High Quality Ravager Backdrop 2.0 is also already in TSL Backdrop Improvements.
  7. You might want to point this out to @Kexikus. Oh wait, I suppose I just did that in my last sentence. It's probably a good thing you pointed this out. I will wait to update my backup mod Override folder until the situation is resolved.
  8. @JCarter426, does this also work with KotOR2? (I see you use your own file names for your new sounds so I wonder ...)
  9. Updated my Replacement Loading Screens - Original Pack (Part 2) to replace this . . . with this . . . New picture utilizes corrected lighting as the original was not corrected for that issue and utilizes new textures for the columns seen in that area. Textures for the columns have also been included in that individual package. Those textures are optional. Additional Note: Don't forget to pick up the other parts in this series, if you haven't already. Replacement Loading Screens for KotOR2 - Original Pack, Part 1 (covers Ebon Hawk, Peragus, the Harbinger, Citadel Station and Telos IV) Replacement Loading Screens for KotOR2 - Original Pack, Part 3 (covers Korriban, the Ravager, and Malachor V) Replacement Loading Screens for KotOR2 - Add-On Pack (covers loading screens for the following mods: Azgath N'Dul's Tomb, Coruscant Jedi Temple, Curse of the Sith, Korriban Expansion, and the M4-78 Enhancement Project )
  10. @N-DReW25, you are operating from an incorrect assumption. I do not possess all of the corrections that ndix UR has made to the KE. I am not even sure that he passed all of the materials to Newbiemodder. So if you wanted something done, you'd have to talk to ndix UR to do so. He would likely want to take advantage of the lip syncing offer that JCarter426 generously made once ndix UR knows about it. If you want that mod released, folks are going to have to appeal to ndix UR. I have already done so and I've heard nothing. I am unsure he has even saw the message. Your way forward is clear. @DarthRaindrops, good eyes. I will rename my altered LEH_panel02 texture to PER_CPanel. Thanks!
  11. Should I update my Replacement Loading Screens (Part 2) package so I can replace this . . .

      Replying to @N-DReW25:

From the looks of it, the new column texture looks cleaner than the original texture. Considering the Enclave was bombarded and abandoned for 5 years wouldn't it make more sense for it to be dirty?

You know what orbital bombardment and abandonment wouldn't do?  It wouldn't make a concrete/permacrete object turn blurry.  If you have an issue with why Obsidian didn't make the Enclave ruins more ruined, you might take it up with them.

In the mean time, why not look at the textures I included in the mod update in the game first and then offer an opinion?

Ok, truth be told I never realized it was a High Definition texture. The HD texture made the pillar's looked cleaner and without any knowledge of the fact it was HD, I just assumed. I looked at the texture included and I agree with you that is an improvement. Just so you know, Obsidian didn't make these low res textures for the fun of it, this game was developed for the original Xbox meaning that textures had to be low res so the game can perform better on the Xbox (It was, for this reason, the Battle of Khoonda was cut, it couldn't run on the Xbox).

My suggestion would be to get a bunch of these low res textures and HD them up like you've done here and release them in one big pack, this will be more appealing to the people who download these mods.

That's what you get when you assume.

  12. Another texture question . . . this time this is for KotOR2 specifically. In what texture is this highlighted portion on? I'd like to clean up one of my loading screens and as it appears in the game, that texture looks blurry.
  13. A military man would only wear his medals and ribbons if he was wearing the uniform. If he's retired and still wearing a medal that earned in military service, he's disrespecting that uniform. The medals given to the crew of the Ebon Hawk at the end of KotOR1 are mostly given to cvilian in a thrown together ceremony so they're an exception. Sunry would be a different case.
  14. A lot of his skins are terrible. There are exceptions, however. And I'm not just saying the exceptions are because we collaborated once! It's just that many of his skins are too clean and . . . lack details as well.
  15. I made my own adjustments to one of Fallen Guardian's textures for Darth Varkor to use in his movies. You may as well have a chance to use it too, if you want. It should be usable in either game. (See attached.) LEH_scre02.tga Update: If you're looking for a much better attempt than the above picture, why not see the updated and animated version of my "KOTOR2 More Subtle Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (still not including Galaxy Map) version 1.2"?
  16. It's a mystery. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Update: It seems that Newbiemodder uses that texture with the name "KOR_tk01" in his mod. If he ever returns to finish up that mod update, I'll offer it to him. If he doesn't want it, at least I'll see it somewhere if he finishes the mod.
  17. But LEH_Scre02 is also present in KotOR2. Why keep it in the second game?
  18. Well, that's disappointing. But thanks for looking it up! I get that Bioware might've left in a texture even though they didn't use it but for Obsidian to repeat the mistake . . .
  19. Where does the texture "LEH_panel02.tga" show up in KotOR1 or KotOR2? Here it is for reference purposes. From the file name, it seems fairly clear that it is supposed to be a Ebon Hawk texture but I can find no evidence in the EH that it exists. Can anyone find an example that it's used anywhere in either game? Because it would be a shame if I made this for no reason.
  20. I was asking DarthVarkor about skins he'd be using for his next movie. He mention that other than using Xarwarz's skins for Dantooine, that he was pretty open to suggestions. Let's tackle an area that we know that'll be in next movie . . . the Ebon Hawk. When you set up your ideal Ebon Hawk, what mods you do use? Please list the mods that you use below for both the interior and the exterior of our favorite star ship. You can mix and match here so if there's parts that you like from one set of skins and you substitute a few of them from another mod, let us know which you use. (You can let us know why you do so as well!) In addition to skins, let us know if there are other Ebon Hawk mods you use - fixes and other things - that you use as well. For these, I'd definitely like to hear your rationale for using these. (You don;t have to explain the area model fixes as that's just common sense.) Finally, feel to add pictures to illustrate your points. Don't attach a link to make us see it on another page though. Have an IMGUR link (or something similar) or put it right in the post. If you have questions, feel free to ask.
  21. Oh heck . . . here's one more. (You could use for the song Darth Delator did for the EP.)
  22. So you wanted a cover for the soundtrack of Revenge of Revan, voice in my head? Request granted!
