I think that'll be one of the main vectors that Disney could use against you. Sounds like an issue that could prove problematic at best. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing right. At least have one of your less busy folks edit the posts for honesty and spelling/grammar issues. Your FAQ page is as important as everything else you've presented. Good luck!

Why not PM 90SK? And if you haven't yet, why haven't you tried that before posting?

Replacement Onderon Cantina Sign (version 1.0) ============================================== MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 26 AUG 2018 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords Notes: ------ This mod is not recommended for Knights of the Old Republic 1 for what should be obvious reasons. This probably isn't my best work. Description: ------------ This texture replaces the lower resolution Onderon Cantina sign seen in the game. Installation: ------------- Drop the texture into your Override folder. Uninstall: ---------- Remove the texture from the Override folder. Legal Disclaimer: ------------------- All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless by permission of me. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested and approved by me before your use. Here's a video because . . . why not? Yep. I was bored today. -
If you've played the game using a male KotOR1 PC and have also consulted this Word document, you'll realize that only one of each line usually plays in the game. (Not counting combat reaction sounds, of course.) If you care to help out the cause, you could do the following: print out the linked document and the next time you play KotOR1, make a check next to a line of that document when you hear the female player character say it in the game. Let's figure out which ones never play and which ones do. When you've finished your complete play-through with this process, post which lines never played in this thread. That'll help me out if I need to decide which lines need to be recorded and which ones don't. Once that's done, I may have some ideas about alternate versions of the lines but first things first. (No side quests until we finish the main quest. )

Instead of videos, search Fiverr.com for voice actors. I wI'll likely be utilizing that site for a male PC. I will use different male voice actors for each game. You may list a potential male voice actor in this thread. PS: Just quote the relevant portions instead of the entire post in the future, please? Thanks!

Suggestion: Maybe only show the most recent Status Update per member on the front page?

Who can do the lip syncing for Korriban Expansion? (I asked about here but it got pushed down by newer posts in other threads within an hour so after making it.)
-
Only 1 PM received so far, still have games left.

For those that wish discuss the voice actress for the Female Player Character, go to this thread instead. When reading the dialogue in either of the two games, what kind of voice do you hear in your head for a male main character (either the Mysterious Stranger or the Exile) when you read those lines? Here are some thoughts to consider before replying. What's the age of the voice? What's the accent? (Specify the country and region.) Is it a particular actor that you had in mind for voicing the role? (Provide a YouTube sample of his voice, if that's the case.) Are the voices the same for the main male player character in both games? (If not, list the information separately for each game's main PC.) To review the original voice for the male player character in KotOR1, here's a video with all of the lines. The results may or may not affect a project I may or may not do way down the line - but I make no promises. I am not opposed to the idea of moving this thread to the Request section if it is thought to be a more appropriate place for it.

Are any of you familiar with the game You Don't Know Jack? (NO!?! Here's a YouTube video describing one of the entries.) Why do I bring this up? I bought a Humble Bundle for it a few minutes ago and it turns out that I already own a few ofthe games. Have a Steam account? Do I know you? If so , I may give away one of the codes of the games that I already own to you. PM me if you think you qualify.

Have you PM'd Kainzorus Prime about it?

You see where I am coming from, right?

Remember, I have to nothing to gain from this so I'm not going to do research on a "not-a-mod" that I'm not going to play. However, as you are actively interested in this, you have more to lose. Hey, if this thing gets made - the whole thing - and it doesn't get C and D'd to oblivion, good for you! In the mean time, it would help your argument to have something specific to point on how exactly the legal issues will be addressed. Jumping into these threads can't be terribly fun for you without some sort of back up. (The kind of back up that should be clearly on their FAQ page.) BTW - to other folks perusing this post: Is Apeiron's FAQ page still littered with multiple spelling and grammar issues? Mildly curious but not enough to head over to their site.
-
You're a fan of this. I get this. I really do. As you've seen this argument about using the game to unlock the "not-a-mod" come up again and again, don't you think - as a fan - that they should be more forthcoming about how that might be implemented? I personally don't see how they'll be able to do it. How will they make it so KOTOR legal copies activate this "not a mod" and prevent cracked versions from also doing so? If you have faith in these developers, it seems like that's a question you or others should be asking. I have no skin in this game and you have more to lose. If you're active in their bases of operation, perhaps you'll get a concrete answer. I hope you do get a satisfactory answer! Until they're more transparent however, I remain skeptical.

I would love to see a top 10 list of "Things that Snigaroo actually likes in the M4-78 EP mod." (I am willing to accept 5 entries.) Post in the M4-78 EP section here so folks can see it forever instead of sliding off the page like on Reddit.
-
Separate thread. Him having to list what he likes would be an awesome birthday gift. Which is in December so he has plenty of time. (LOL)

I think that Snigaroo stated the arguments well enough on the Reddit thread.
-
I will respectfully disagree with this conclusion.
-
The Apeiron developer admitted that was a lie. Reread the initial post and read the conversation in the pictures.
-
A free version of KotOR is taking money out of the license holder's pockets. Had that not occurred to you?
-
If anyone does have the tools (in a working state) to do lip syncing, there's a project that could definitely use your assistance. (Apply to ndix UR and/or Newbiemodder via PM, if interested.)
-
Depends if the YouTube channels in question are Apeiron sycophants or not. LOL
-
I am surprised that more folks from here haven't commented about this on the Reddit thread about this topic. Even more surprised that the Apeiron sycophants haven't been down rated more.
-
A background with more light - like Tatooine - might be better to show off this skin.
