  1. What are your favorite mods to use for Peragus?  (Assume that TSLRCM is a requirement for this list.)  I want to make another "Set Decoration" blog and I want to hear what you have you say.  I'm only looking for mods that are currently released. (No work in progress mods please.)

      Thanks for the reply, @L0ki194.  I'll make sure these are added to the list.  I have a few on the list already but always looking for more suggestions.  Modders, feel free to suggest your own Peragus mod suggestions.  Don't think of self-promotion as being self-serving as I'm specifically asking for the recommendations. ;)

      Re: The Peragus Tweak mod, there is a bug that the corpse of the Dock Officer does not show up in the dormitories. The bug doesn't stop you from progressing the game, but if you want to get the most out of Peragus you may want to take note of that. You can PM@sEcOnDbOuToFiNsAnItY for the fix.

      Another mod for Peragus I use is Malkior's Maintenance Officer Realistic Reskin (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/165-maintenance-officer-realistic-reskin/)

  2. Posting both the questions and the answers is now a requirement for bug posting. Bug-fixing will considered only on the most recent versions of TSLRCM and/or M4-78 EP. This list is necessary for speedy replies to your issue even if you don’t use TSLRCM. It is highly recommended to post both the questions and the answers (with the answer following them) because the questions may be updated from time to time and folks on the site may not be checking the list regularly. This list must be provided for each issue you come up with. (You have a few threads on playing the game open at the moment so you’ll have to go in to those posts and edit them.) 1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur? Provide details. 2) Did you install the latest version of the TSLRCM and M4-78 EP mods? (1.8.5 and 1.5 respectively.) The creators only provide assistance for the most current version of those mods. 3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) 4) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version? 5) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY) 6) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file? 7) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (Even the Staff members don't actually know them all!) 8- Can you be more specific about the error? What were you doing in the game when it happened? 9) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod? 10) Have you tried using a different save game? 11) Have you tried starting a new game? 12) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well, if you are using them.) 13) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the main menu screen? 14) If using M4-78 EP, did you see the new screen that replaced the original loading screen? 15) What language is your game set for? 16) Which language of TSLRCM are you using? 17) Are you playing this on a laptop or a desktop computer? 18) Did you install TSLRCM after you started your game? 19) What fixe/s have you already attempted and what was/were the result/s?
  3. I believe the Staff have limited ports to between KotOR1, TSL, and SWTOR. If I'm misstating things, I hope the Staff will correct my misunderstanding.

  7. Why not try to stick with the coloring of their KotOR2 robes? It might be a little less of a leap and it would provide some sort of continuity.

  10. I have heard of it but do you recommend it? Other have pointed it out to me as well. Screenshots by taken you may help bolster the argument one way or the other. If anyone does take pictures of the skybox like I suggested, I'd like to see them from the landing pad area . . .

  12. For this blog, I’m not covering other larger mods and their compatibility patches. These will be simple quality of life selections that will – in my humble opinion – enhance your playthrough. As this section is essentially an opinion piece, your mileage may vary. 1) M4-78 Movies Remade - Provides higher resolution versions of the landing and take off cut scene movies that are currently in the mod. 2) Console M4-2K - It's the console from M4-78. A high-res, animated take on the vanilla version. Includes an updated model for illuminated surfaces, non-mirrored screens, and restoration of two surfaces that were maybe originally intended to be screens but ended up as flat metallic surfaces. Also includes non-animated options. 3) Droid Testing Console Texture Upgrade - I was dissatisfied with the textures that I made for the Droid Testing Consoles. The Droid Testing Consoles are seen near the end of the Industrial Zone on M4-78, just before you get to the Industrial Zone Archon Chamber. One of the textures had a Galaxy as the background and the other had a game map on it. In addition, I thought I could come up with better animations in the smaller boxes. I decided to take action and change that. 4) KotOR1 War Droids Textures (https://www.dropbox.com/s/lyunh4do2aylpne/KotOR1%20War%20Droids%20Textures.7z?dl=0) - Some of the war-droids in KotOR2 used a lower quality texture than the one in KotOR1. Drop these files into your Override to get a better-quality war-droid for your game. (C_DrdWar01, C_DrdWar02, C_DrdWar03, C_DrdWar04, C_DrdWar05 and C_Drdmkone02.tga) 5) Refurbished Astromech Droids - This provides a higher resolution for some of the astromech droids seen on M4-78 and elsewhere in the game. The textures use a recolored version of Darth_Sapiens' excellent T3-M4 texture. 6) Protocol Droids by Vurt Version - Speaking of droids, some of the protocol droids could also use an upgrade as well. I recommend the following files from this pack: C_DrdProt02.tga, C_DrdProt03.tga and N_Czerka_Droid.tga. However, you may decide to use them all. 7 - KotOR1 Protocol Droids' Textures (https://www.dropbox.com/s/tncmjygz02f588r/KotOR1 Protocol Droids.7z?dl=0) - Some of the protocol droids in KotOR2 used a lower quality texture than the ones in KotOR1. If you'd rather be a traditionalist and not use the textures that Vurt made above, just drop these files into your Override to get a slightly better-quality set of protocol droids for your game. (C_DrdWar01, C_DrdWar02, C_DrdWar03, C_DrdWar04, C_DrdWar05 and C_Drdmkone02.tga) 8 - HD Cockpit Skyboxes 2.0 - When you land the Ebon Hawk on a planet, you are able to look out of the cockpit and view the landing platform. This is achieved by a cylindrical texture. Since the vanilla textures were low resolution, inaccurate, and desaturated, the author recreated the platforms in Maya and rendered them to look as they do in-game. The main planets, including M4-78, are all remastered in 4096x1024. Did I miss any you think I should have included? Add it below! 9 - Fixed Hologram Models and Admiralty Redux for TSLRCM (mod version 1.6) by DarthParametric - This mod attempts to address some of the issues with holograms in TSL. In the vanilla game, the majority of holograms have things like eyeballs and teeth being visible through the head. This is caused by the way the game handles transparency, in conjunction with the order in which it renders the individual meshes that a model is comprised of. By changing the hierarchy of the meshes within these models, certain elements can be occluded, resulting in less cases of “bug-eyed” holograms. This is not a perfect solution however. Because meshes do not self-occlude, visual glitches still remain during certain animations and camera angles, but this is likely the best that can be done without being able to make alterations the game engine itself. This fix includes scenes of holograms of Vash and Kaah.
  13. With the discussion of lackluster Star Wars movies and Apeiron, this section has proved too negative. Chaos has reigned far too long. I might have a more happy thing for us to consider - a documentary on The Empire Strikes Back that was considered lost. I haven't even seen it yet but I saw the link for it last night when I was at work. Perhaps you guys can watch and let me know what your thoughts on it are.

  20. The mod's description has not been updated from the last version. Luckily, the RTF and the movies have been. Here's the info until the powers-that-be fix it. (Update: Info added to Mod Description) BTW . . . who's Kaak?
  21. Update: Finally got around to looking for evidence of the Czerka sign being used in KotOR1, @ebmar and @N-DReW25 . Though I gave up at searching after finding one example of it, there's likely others around in the game. The desk in the screen shot has miniature versions of the sign texture. The other texture for the desk itself in the mod is for a completely different desk model and is seen is several other places.
    This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for working on my request, @ebmar!

  24. By the way, if anyone could let me know how this texture looks in game, I'd love to get some feedback. (It's in the package already.) I just want to know if I'll have to change now, rather than some point down the line when I've lost interest in this subject.
