SWTOR Voice Clips for TOR Head Ports
Sith Holocron replied to Untold Prophecy's topic in Mod Requests
OK, now that the (male) Jedi Knight is done, I'd like to work on a Jedi Consular sound set. In fact, I've already started! It makes the most sense to choose a force wielder for the PC lines so the choice was obvious. That and the fact that I've only done one male sound set so far makes the Consular the best choice. As having crowdsourcing has already proved successful, I'd like to enlist your help (yes, you) in putting this together. Revised instructions for the sound set follow. . . ignore the date. Those providing lines that I either haven't found yet or are better than what I have found will be credited.- 41 replies

[K1] SWTOR Male Jedi Knight - PC Replacement Soundset AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 19 JAN 2019 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.] Description: By request, now your (male) character in KotOR1 can sound like the male Jedi Knight from SWTOR! Hopefully, I've found suitable lines for the PC various scenarios. You'll have to let me know in the review section below. (Details are better than just leaving stars, you see.) Feel free to link videos of the lines in use if your review. I would've done it myself but my computer has not been brought to repair shop yet. This mod is only for Knights of the Old Republic 1. Knights of the Old Republic 2 - although it has the voice files for the male and female PC - that game doesn't have them activated, rendering the Exile mute. In order to use this mod in Knights of the Old Republic 2, you must install JC's Player Soundset Restoration for K2 in KotOR2 before this mod. That being said: As this mod is strictly designed for KotOR1 and not for KotOR2, any sounds that do not end of playing what you expected should not be reported to me. Installation: ----------------- You'll not be dropping these into your Override like my usual mods. This time you have new steps to follow. 1) Move the original KotOR1 files that share the file names in this mod to a place you can find them. (I recommend a folder on your desktop but you do you!) Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder. 2) Extract the files from the 7z folder. Grab the new files from that extracted folder and put them in Streamsounds folder. Note: If you're using the mod on Steam this quote may prove helpful. Uninstall: -------------- Remove my files from the Streamsounds folder. Put the original files that you saved elsewhere back in the Streamsounds folder. Legal Disclaimer: ------------------------- All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless notified in writing of permission granted by me. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested and approved by me in writing before your use. Special Thanks: ----------------------- Kainzorus Prime - For the mod request and for valuable assistance in finding many of the lines! -

Basil Bonehead's Mod Analysis Facility

A complete list is vital. Here's the issue: even if the mods are completely compatible with both TSLRCM 1.8.5 and M4-78 1.5, they may not be compatible with each other. To quote the compatibility list... If you're starting your mod build from scratch anyway, how much more of an issue will it be to accurately list what you're putting in it? It's helpful for this thread and you'll be the ultimate beneficiary.

Emanate Chapter 3 End

It was OK, I guess. So far, I've thought the Imperial Agent story the best. I haven't finished the Smuggler story to Chapter 3 yet and I haven't even started a Bounty Hunter story yet. Check out this thread if you'd like to see the rest of my characters, @downloadman1 (My post is the very first one in that thread.) When I get all stories to Chapter 3, I'll make my list of best to worst in The Old Republic section or I'll make a blog. -
SWTOR Voice Clips for TOR Head Ports
Sith Holocron replied to Untold Prophecy's topic in Mod Requests
I will consider doing requests! However, I'm going to ask for help. I'll personally only work on voice pack at a time. (That's fair, right?) 1) Consult the Word document that covers both the male and female lines in KotOR1. 2) Go check some YouTube let's plays and time stamp from those video for good options for a line replacement. Also include the quote from the document that you suggest should be replaced with your time-stamped quote. Having done this for a while, I have a good idea which categories will be the toughest to find so I recommend concentrating on these: lines for arming mines, disarming mines, and being poisoned. Remember, we're covering the PC so the line has to sound like he's doing whatever activity being discussed, and not tasking someone else to do the task. Update (16JAN19): I've started work on this but crowdsourcing good lines (as mentioned above) will help produce a better quality end product. So help if you can.- 41 replies

As per Wookieepedia Seeing as there are 5 years between the events of KotOR1 and TSL -and Kaevee is 17 in TSL - are you planning to use the child character model for Kaevee? Are you playing to request or hire two different voice actress to account for that age difference? Just wondering.

Could someone explain me to how to do hidden/spoiler quotes on here now? I don't need to do so right now but it might be handy down the road.

From the album: Sith Holocron's Stuff
Finally finished Chapter 3 on my (light sided) Sith Warrior tonight. -
Using Dark Katarn, huh? Nice. I look forward to seeing what you'll be doing with the Iziz Cantina lights (especially outside).

Texturing should be done second to last. And voiceovers - voiceovers should always be last. -
Graphics card finally installed! Looks like I can get back to gaming tomorrow night. (I'll be working tonight so that's the only reason for a delay.)

No more upgrades on my rig until I'm back to the lower 48. That . . . and the government shutdown ends.

@Mephiles550 I recently got a 1050 ti 4gb for budget reasons. Can honestly say it runs most games on higher settings great.

Played around with SWTOR tonight and have updated the original post in my SWTOR "Let's See Your Character" thread, with new pictures, outfit information (some with links to TORfashion).

I assume the lines from Mass Effect that were in the movie couldn't be used.

Fair cop on that point.

Emphasis added . . . Such as Carth and Revan being dead?
