View File [K1] Female Smuggler from SWTOR - PC Replacement Soundset AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 03 FEB 2019 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.] Description: Now your PC character in KotOR1 can sound like the female Smuggler from SWTOR! Hopefully, I've found suitable lines for the PC various scenarios. You'll have to let me know in the review section below. (Details are better than just leaving stars, you see.) Feel free to link videos of the lines in use if your review. I would've done it myself but my computer has not been brought to repair shop yet. This mod is only for Knights of the Old Republic 1. Knights of the Old Republic 2 - although it has the voice files for the male and female PC - that game doesn't have them activated, rendering the Exile mute. In order to use this mod in Knights of the Old Republic 2, you must install JC's Player Soundset Restoration for K2 in KotOR2 before this mod. That being said: As this mod is strictly designed for KotOR1 and not for KotOR2, any sounds that do not end of playing what you expected should not be reported to me. Installation: ----------------- You'll not be dropping these into your Override like my usual mods. This time you have new steps to follow. 1) Move the original KotOR1 files that share the file names in this mod to a place you can find them. (I recommend a folder on your desktop but you do you!) Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder. 2) Extract the files from the 7z folder. Grab the new files from that extracted folder and put them in Streamsounds folder. Uninstall: -------------- Remove my files from the Streamsounds folder. Put the original files that you saved elsewhere back in the Streamsounds folder. Legal Disclaimer: ------------------------- All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless notified in writing of permission granted by me. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested and approved by me in writing before your use. Hi there all. I've made three new blogs recently. Check them out and post if you have relevant insights to share. Likes also accepted.
Blog #96 - What do you HATE about the M4-78 EP?
Blog #95 - What do you LIKE or LOVE about M4-78 EP?-
And I just added an idea to your list!
I agree with you, let's give Master Vash the ending she deserves.
-
@narshaddaarocks if you've played the 1.5, your input would be appreciated in the "loved this about M4-78" or "hated this about M4-78" blogs. (Yes, you can post in both if there are things that both liked and disliked.)
-
@Sith HolocronI actually have not yet, but I will comment on those as soon as I do play it which shouldn't be long.

Blog #96 - What do you HATE about the M4-78 EP? (version 1.5)
Sith Holocron posted a blog entry in Sith Holocron's Blog
In your own words, can you tell me what you are disappointed with or downright hate about the M4-78 Enhancement Project. At the very least, it would be amusing to read some short entries about what you thought was annoying about the mod. If I were to work on the documentary again, it also might prove to be a helpful repository of quotes I could work from. If you like (or even love) the M4-78 Enhancement Project, I have a whole other blog dedicated for that topic. It’s just easier to make a pros and cons list if I have the two sides separated. I’m just trying to keep these two columns separate. Yes, you can post in both blogs. Note: This is only regarding the version 1.5 of the M4-78 Enhancement Project. I am completely uninterested in previous versions as some complaints may have been fixed by later versions. Blog #87 is now locked so traffic can be directed here. -

At the very least, it would be amusing to read some short entries about what you thought was worthy about the mod. Blog #94 - The Problem with Master Vash
Sith Holocron commented on Sith Holocron's blog entry in Sith Holocron's Blog
Thanks for the comment! I believe is this one you might be referring to. (It's actually where I got the screen cap for the Blog Title because I got lazy!) Pssst: Why the dark side points? -
I do. I've sent you a PM. Read it and think it over?

M4-78 EP 1.5, TSLRCM, and Corsucant Jedi Temple
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in M4-78 Enhancement Project
I'd be remiss in not pointing out my loading screens for Crouscant which are a partial alternative for HK-42 Jedi Temple Extension. I say "partial" as you would still want his rotating Coruscant planet for Galaxy Map. If you want my loading screens and his loading screen, first install HK-42's mod using the loading order above, then delete the following files from the Override: load_952cor.tga, load_953cor.tga, and load_954cor.tga. Only then should you install my mod. -
A formerly unreleased remnant of the unfinished chapter of the M4-78 Documentary M4-78: The Problem with Master Vash One thing that I don’t think I’ve previously discussed is the problem of voice overs of the character Master Vash – the Jedi we’re seeking in the M4-78 materials. Did you know that there are two voice actresses for the lines that appear in the game? When we first see and hear Master Vash, it’s an old video that T3-M4 plays of your Exile’s trial on Coruscant. The voice actress for Vash in this scene is Vanessa Marshall. Vanessa Marshall has played a number of parts over the years, including a few characters in the Extended Universe including: Master Bela Kiwiiks (from SWTOR), Hera Syndulla (from Star Wars: Rebels and Forces of Destiny) and assorted characters in KotOR2. [ed: insert pictures of the various characters] I’ll put an IMDB link to her CV in the video description below. Here’s where things take a turn. Vanessa Marshall isn’t who we hear on the planet of M4-78 though. That completely different voice actress is Kath Soucie. In the Star Wars EU alone, she’s played the female Smuggler and minor characters in SWTOR, Mira Bridger and Minister Maketh Tua in Star Wars: Rebels, Mon Mothma from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon, the Nightsister in Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption, Mara Jade in Star Wars: Empire at War, and the list goes on and on with other non-Star Wars roles. [ed: insert pictures of the various characters] I’ll put an IMDB link to Kath Soucie’s CV in the video description below. There are two people doing the work of one character. Most folks don’t even notice the actress change up as each section has few lines and they are separated by a decent amount of both in-game and real-world time. Let’s be honest - most people aren’t making off like a shot from T3’s Trial video to go straight to Korriban so they can meet Vash right away. Why bring this up though? One of the limitations of any of the versions of M4-78 mods is severe limitation of lines that can be used for what Vash can say in the mod. There’s not a lot. Since they are two different voice actresses, you can’t grab sample from one Vash iteration and hand it off to the other. It won’t sound right as they aren’t trying to actively mimic each other. An enterprising modder could technically grab lines from other games to try to extend Kath Soucie’s lines from one of the games listed below. However that modder would have to limit themselves to lines where Soucie’s lines sounded like her Vash impression that were left on the KotOR2 disc. Then they would run into the same issue of limitations of what the actress can say based on those lines. The answer to this would seem to be to recast the part of Master Vash entirely. Whenever this has been brought up, there’s been pushback. The most common reasons is a connection to the few lines that appear in the Coruscant files that appear in both modded and unmodded versions of the Coruscant trial scene – which as pointed out earlier – isn’t even the same actress as the one on Korriban.

As QDJ asked for these be taken down from here, perhaps you should just make a DropBox link instead?
-
As the vocals of the above song are oh so cruel, should I record an actual song (as opposed to an rewritten cover)? Just so you can hear my natural singing voice? If I did this, you shouldn't expect the professional visuals like the video above to go with it though.

Black Market droid voice clip crash
Sith Holocron replied to Kainzorus Prime's topic in M4-78 Enhancement Project
Your sample seems play just fine in GoldWave, but that's outside of the game. Have you attempted converting these to joint stereo as well? -
Just like @RevanFanMan, I'd like an answer on this as well. To make things crystal clear, let's assume I'm using this version of TSLRCM (the most current), this version of M4-78 EP (version 1.5, also the most current), and Coruscant Jedi Temple? Does this compatibility fix work with the current versions listed in the last sentence? Instructions aimed at someone new to modding would appreciated, especially for those that come upon this thread at a later date. Please only respond with information if you have finished the game with all of these mods in the versions listed above working together without issue.

Did you not see this? PM @JDub96

Besides Revan, what's the next SWTOR character sound set I should do? Please provide a brief reason )or reasons) why you made your choice too, please.
-
Oddly enough, I do the pictures for the sound sets and then I find the lines. Let's just say I've made the picture . . . and now I'll have to find the appropriate lines.
-
Been so busy lately haven't been able to play K1 and try them. But will do soon and will give a review
Ok mate I'll try find some lines too!

Black Market droid voice clip crash
Sith Holocron replied to Kainzorus Prime's topic in M4-78 Enhancement Project
PM me one of that droids (the six-armed maintenance unit, that is) files? I could then check it against one of my copies. -
Some broad strokes. IIRC, the author is NiuHaka. He departed the community before Deadly Stream was much of a thing. Last I heard, he was working on mods for Doom! NiuHaka uploaded them to FileFront. When FileFront ceased to be, Nexus grabbed all of the files and said they were archiving them - initially without credit. (Begrudgingly, credit would eventually be applied when enough of the modders requested they do so - and only when it was requested for it that happen by each individual modder that did so.) Anyway, the remnants of GameFront (the community that had FileFront as part of it.) were purchased by a new party. GameFront requested the files be yanked. (I'm not sure if legal action was threatened byGameFront but judging by the speed of the Nexus yanking access to the files, it wouldn't be crazy to suppose that may have been the case.)

Is it available here? If so, it took less than 10 seconds to Google it. If not, I'll check my Archive when I get home - assuming no one else gets back to you by then. Update: You can also try here.

Bugs / Errors Reporting with M4-78EP
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in M4-78 Enhancement Project
Oops! It looks like I had to update that part (the highlighted portion). Hopefully, the mod makers will get back to you in a reasonable amount of time. If not, I suggest sending them a PM. -
Signs for Tatooine Enterable Buildings
Sith Holocron replied to DarthParametric's topic in Work In Progress
I need to keep myself awake tonight so I slapped this together. Or if it's a more upscale joint. I guess the Tarisian Ale isn't in stock anymore for some reason... -
You should probably introduce yourself to the community then. And maybe ask a Staff member to delete the duplicate thread? Just a thought.
-
Wookieepedia says that Electric Judgement is usually green. That's why it's other name is Emerald Lightning. Surprised you hadn't requested a green one as well.
-
After a flurry of activity, I'm done for now. My next projects will be up when my contributors hand over the requested files to me. Yes, NONE of the recent uploads were what I was hinting at previously.

View File [K1] SWTOR Vette - PC Replacement Soundset AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 27 JAN 2019 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.] Description: Now your (female) character in KotOR1 can sound like the character “Vette” from SWTOR. Vette is the first companion you acquire as the Sith Warrior in SWTOR. If the character sounds just like Mission from KotOR and acts like her too, that might be because they’re voiced by the same voice actress! This fact enabled me to use lines from both KotOR and SWTOR. Seeing that someone has been ruthlessly insisting on multiple hues of Twi’leks recently, I figured I’d head that request off before it came up. Hopefully, I've found suitable lines for the PC various scenarios. You'll have to let me know in the review section below. (Details are better than just leaving stars, you see.) Feel free to link videos of the lines in use if you wish to put them in your review. This mod is only for Knights of the Old Republic 1. Knights of the Old Republic 2 - although it has the voice files for the male and female PC - that game doesn't have them activated, rendering the Exile mute. Note: If you're using the mod on Steam this quote may prove helpful. “I threw the files in Streamsound. I managed to fix it by verifying game files through Steam and reinstalling the mod though!” So . . . uh . . . keep that in mind. Uninstall: -------------- Remove my files from the Streamsounds folder. Put the original files that you saved elsewhere back in the Streamsounds folder.
