View File [K1] DarthVarkor’s Dann Kasra “Before the Reveal” - PC Replacement Soundset AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 3 MAR 2019 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.] Description: If you’ve seen DarthVarkor’s series, perhaps you might have considered making your character sound like his. With this mod for KotOR1, now you can. I asked DarthVarkor to record all of the lines that the PC says. He even threw in a couple of extra takes (“p_plyermw_slct9 (improvised extra) and “p_plyermw_stlh4”) as his character might be more likely to say the lines that way. You could rename those lines to replace the normal lines if you do desire. If you decide to do that, be sure not include the original line you’ll be replacing. As his series’ main character hasn’t had the spoiler-laden reveal in this sound set, he’s not wearing a mask so there’s no filter here. This mod is only for Knights of the Old Republic 1. Knights of the Old Republic 2 - although it has the voice files for the male and female PC - that game doesn't have them activated, rendering the Exile mute. In order to use this mod in Knights of the Old Republic 2, you must install JC's Player Soundset Restoration for K2 in KotOR2 before this mod. That being said: As this mod is strictly designed for KotOR1 and not for KotOR2, any sounds that do not end of playing what you expected should not be reported to me. Installation: ----------------- You'll not be dropping these into your Override like my usual mods. This time you have new steps to follow. 1) Now that you’ve made your choices above, move the original KotOR1 files that come with the game to a place you can find them. (I recommend a folder on your desktop but you do you!) Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder. 2) Extract the files from the 7z folder. Grab the new files from that extracted folder and put them in Streamsounds folder. Note: If you're using the mod on Steam, this quote may prove helpful. “I threw the files in Streamsound. I managed to fix it by verifying game files through steam and reinstalling the mod though!” Uninstall: -------------- Remove my files from the Streamsounds folder. Put the original files that you saved elsewhere back in the Streamsounds folder. Legal Disclaimer: ------------------------- All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless notified in writing of permission granted by me. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested and approved by me in writing before your use. Special Thanks: ----------------------- DarthVarkor: For recording the lines so his fans can play as his character! You have seen his movies, right? Here’s a preview of next feature featuring this character. Submitter Sith Holocron Submitted 03/03/2019 Category Mods K1R Compatible Yes

Sith Holocron commented on Sith Holocron's blog entry in Sith Holocron's Blog
Psst . . . Just uploaded two soundsets, one of which wasn't pictured. That would be both of the Dann Kasra versions, BTW. Dann Kasra (Before the reveal) Dann Kasra (as Revan) Both voiced by @DarthVarkor. -

I've even updated a number of the title pictures. Some of the blogs that were locked have been unlocked. Also, I've updated this non-blog SWTOR character thread here if anyone is interested. (My post is the first post.)
-
My 100th blog has been updated. If you have read it before, you might wanna read it again. I am on the site for 30 more days. I will have limited replies until my move has finished. I have no return date planned. Replies in the blog preferred to you leaving them in this status update. Thanks.
-
Thanks for stopping by, Kaidon Jorn! @JDub96, looks like you got the news you were hoping for. Have at it.
-
Which is a great sentiment. I guess we'll see if he drops a note in this thread or to me what his actual wishes are. Until then, there's a number of other mods from him folks can check out in the mean time.
-
Thanks, @Tyvokka I have sent a PM asking QDJ to clarify. I said he could PM me directly but it was preferable to post here (so everyone could see it). I don't want to be a spoil sport, folks. If he's cool with all of his mods being fair game - even the ones he asked to be removed - that would be good to know for all us going forward. This is HotOR.
-
For all I know, his statement could have applied to SotOR but it's impossible to know unless someone asks him.
-
When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me. I can make an ass out of myself quite well by myself. As he specifically requested the aforementioned mod to be removed from the site, I'm not sure that SotOR applies. I should recall about the mod removal as I was the one that took it down for him, IIRC.
-
@Tyvokka, what you said here still applies, right?
-
I was thinking I'd make next character a bounty hunter. The gender will be female but . . . would you mind helping me choose the species? Here are your choices . . . Answer via the poll. Once we lock down the species, we can further narrow down the look. By making your poll choice, you are essentially choosing the look of the Bounty Hunter for a sound set to be released in the future. (I have not started work on it yet.) For Mandalore!

Blog #91 - Set Decoration: Peragus and the Harbinger
Sith Holocron commented on Sith Holocron's blog entry in Sith Holocron's Blog
I added another mod to list up top, folks! -
Has anyone here ever used this mod? Could I get some details on differences between this mod and the TSLRCM? And finally, are there any videos of this mod out there?
-
I used it before RCM came out with 1.4, perhaps before RCM existed. The most it did was fix bugs. Big game breaking bugs and the ones that were the most annoying. RCM does WAY more. From the looks of it, the new version fixes a lot of the things that RCM does too. RCM adds and restores things that were disabled or removed because of those bugs or unfinished content, where as that mod seems to just adjust things to account for things having been removed (like dialogue and such for story/quests). That would account for some of the incompatibility. RCM does one thing with mission/quest X, while UP does different with mission/quest X.
That's not exactly "detailed"... but there ya go.

Bugs / Errors Reporting with M4-78EP
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in M4-78 Enhancement Project
Just a little note, folks. Though I created this thread quite some time ago, I'm not part of the team. I'm interested in what happens to the mod (I am posting in here, right?) but I have no real pull with "the team". In addition, neither Zbyl2 and Hassat Hunter are either subscribed to this thread or even this section. You may have a faster response if you PM them or ... you might not. YMMV. Great feedback BTW, @Pa3PyX! -
Welcome back to the dark side! If you wind up liking any of the mods that you haven't seen before, please leave a review of their mod's respective pages.

Blog #26 - Apeiron . . . The next project doomed to failure
Sith Holocron commented on Sith Holocron's blog entry in Sith Holocron's Blog
I just grabbed the pictures from Photobucket and put them into IMGUR and then updated the picture links Goodbye to the watermarks. Oh . . . I also updated the thread title picture and unlocked the thread.
