  1. [K1] Alignment Fancy Bits

This mod adds fancy VFX and SFX alignment change both to the dark side and light side in two available style; TOR and TSL.

    -= BACKGROUND =-
Not much of a background -- just my curiosity fueled with @DarthParametric's invaluable insights and assistance trying something never been done [at least to release stage until this mod was attempted] and documented previously to K1 based on its successors; The Sith Lords and The Old Republic.

    -= ABOUT THIS MOD =-
TOR style -- adds IN-cutscenes VFX and SFX based on TOR's TSL style -- adds POST-cutscenes VFX and SFX based on TSL's TOR style no SFX -- adds ONLY IN-cutscenes VFX based on TOR's TSL style no SFX -- adds ONLY POST-cutscenes VFX based on TSL's * Preview [v1.0.1] --
To its VFX base it's using ported TSL models and texture [for the dark side ones] provided by DarthParametric. As for the SFX, I had them ported from TSL -- originally comes as mus_s_darkshort and mus_s_lightshort.
-- provided as well user-friendly uninstaller for convenience purpose.

    -= KNOWN ISSUES =-
TOR style -- at some potential cases [depending on how the cutscenes were set up] the SFX and/or VFX won't show up if the camera/frame far-off from the Player. In SFX's case -- because Players' presence on-screen's needed as they're the medium for the SFX output TSL style -- as using a spawned placeable's OnHeartbeat [which checks for and] to trigger the VFX and SFX for ONLY every ~3 seconds, they will not fired instantly. Delays are to be expected with this one. Also, as I didn't include ratio check to DS and LS gains sometimes you'll see LS status with DS' VFX/SFX and vice-versa. That often happens if there are multiple alignment sets in one continuous cutscenes There are module-specifics scripts that alter the alignment which is outside the scope of this mod -- at least at this current stage. With that in mind sometimes you won't see the mod's working although there are alignment change's happening
    -= FINAL REMARKS =-
There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM me here, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and using this mod.

Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

    -= INSTALLATION =-
Run the installer, pick only one of the available options then hit the [Install Mod ->] button!

    -= UNINSTALLATION =-
Available in the _uninstall folder -- make sure to read the Readme first!

    -= COMPATIBILITY =-
Is NOT compatible with mods that share the provision; doing same thing, same assets etc and/or anything that hard-overwrites 2DAs coming from this mod.

    -= REDISTRIBUTION =-
I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions -- so be considerate to not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites.
If you're to use the assets from this mod - please be kindly to ask for permission first -- that way I know what's up, and if it's interesting enough I might offer to be involved, hahah. Or at least we'll talk. Cheers!

  2. Juhani Male Romance

A simple mod that goes in and tweaks the character flags for Juhani's dialogue file, her section of the Dantooine Grove dialogue file, and her scipt that allows a male PC to romance her.
She'll still refer to the PC as female since splicing audio is far beyond my capabilities, but I took the time to do this, and as far as I'm aware, the only other file that ever attempted to do this is broken.
Installation is simple and just requires moving the files to the Override folder. The only mods that might conflict would be those that edit Juhani's dialogue, her scripts, or one particular file for Dantooine (though I'm not aware of any mods that also alter this file.) Maybe one day I'll be good enough to make use of the TSLPatcher.
Many thanks to @ebmar and @DarthParametric for answering a couple questions I had that without which this mod would have not been possible.

  3. Jedi Diversity on the Star Forge

This mod changes the appearances of the Jedi that appear on the Star Forge, since the majority of them are clones. Now every Jedi has a unique appearance, including the addition of some extra alien races with models taken from TOR.
    Installation:
    Run INSTALL.exe.
It is recommended that you use this mod in conjunction with my Diversified Jedi Captives on the Star Forge mod, since this mod doesn’t alter the appearances of the captives on Deck 4. The use of my Dark Jedi Wear Robes mod is also recommended. It is also highly recommended that you use the K1 Community Patch, which makes a number of small edits to the Star Forge cutscenes (amongst a whole host of other fixes).  Just be sure to install that first.
Warning: This mod requires that at least one of the following mods be installed in order to function:
JC's Fashion Line I: Cloaked Jedi Robes for K1
JC's Fashion Line I: Cloaked Hybrid Robes for K1
JC's Fashion Line I: Cloaked Party Robes for K1
This is non-negotiable! JC’s added TSL supermodels from one of those mods must be present for the models in this mod to work.
    To Do List:
The two Jedi that Malak toys with when you first encounter him at the end of Deck 3 are being choked, but don't have any SFX for it. I may add in some SFX for those at some point in the future, possibly in conjunction with/derived from a K1CP update.
    Credits/Acknowledgements:
Thanks to @JCarter426 for the cloaked robes modder's resource. Thanks to @bead-v for KOTORMax and MDLEdit. Thanks to @ndix UR for TGA2TPC. Thanks to @Darth_Sapiens for the Cubemap Pack modder's resource. Nautolan, Kel Dor, and Rodian head models ported from The Old Republic MMO. Thanks to zaramot on the Xentax forums for the TOR GR2 Max import script.

  4. Build-A-Bastila

Players who take in Bastila as their Sith apprentice probably find themselves disappointed that she isn't exactly the same as when she left your party, mechanically speaking. I don't claim to offer the optimal dark Jedi Sentinel builds here, but it's hard beating the atrocious vanilla stat allocation for last place.
Receive Bastila exactly how she first joined you in the Taris apartments or select from a list of available presets. You can switch your chosen build at any point during the game before reaching the Rakatan temple summit. Simply run the patcher again and pick a new spec.
This mod should be installed first, before any mods that affect party member Bastila at the Rakatan temple. If said mods are already installed then they must be reinstalled after this one.

  5. Gamorrean Animations Pack

    Gamorrean Animations Pack
    By Alvar007

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

DESCRIPTION: This mod adds a bunch of animations to the Gamorreans that were specified in the dialogue files but were missing in the model files.

The added animations are the following:

        · Two grenade throwing animations retargeted from the male humanoid supermodel.
        · One shield activation animation retargeted from the male humanoid supermodel.
        · One inject animation retargeted from the male humanoid supermodel.
        · One new custom TALK_FORCEFUL animation used in conversations.

INSTALLATION: Just run the .exe that comes with this download and select the game's installation main folder (NOT override).

COMPATIBILITY: This mod will work as long as you don't have any modifications in your gamorrean model files or their apprearance.2da rows.

BUGS: The combat parry and dodge animations for the player when facing the gamorreans will look as if they were facing a melee humanoid user due to the fact that I had to change their modeltype. Unfortunately there is no way around this.

  6. Sion Force Heal K1

New Force Power: Sion Force Heal
    By Alvar007

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

DESCRIPTION: This mod adds a new Force Power to K1 based on Darth Sion's Force Rage Heal we can see in K2 and the end of a combat round. I've also added a custom effect texture for when the Force Power is being casted.

    Includes:

        · Ported animation.
        · Ported icon and custom description.

INSTALLATION: Just run the .exe that comes with this download and select the game's installation main folder (NOT override).

COMPATIBILITY: This mod replaces the lightsaber throw loop animation with the rage one, so as long as you don't have any other mods replacing the S_Male02 supermodel files it should work fine. In case you do, you could merge them together, provided that they are not using the same animation already.

BUGS: The animation can get cancelled if you are running while casting the Force Power.

  7. Control Panel For Kashyyyk Shadowlands Forcefield

This mod makes some minor changes to the forcefield in the Upper Shadowlands on Kashyyyk that gates access to the Lower Shadowlands. In the vanilla game, the forcefield is never actually disabled. Rather, the sound effect is simply turned off while the camera is pointed away from the forcefield, followed by an immediate area transition. It appears that Bioware did this due to issues with opening and closing doors via scripting. Additionally, there are no apparent controls for the forcefield, simply a frame and the field itself.
The level model containing the forcefield has been edited to add a computer panel, fix a gap above the forcefield via some adjustments to the frame geometry, move some vines out of camera shot during dialogue, and prevent grass planes from spawning too close to the ramp and clipping through. The dialogue that occurs when interacting with the field has had some scripts injected to play animations implying that the forcefield is being switched off via the control panel. Jolee will now approach the control panel when the dialogue starts, and will face it when disabling the field. The field itself is now shown shutting down before the party transitions to the Lower Shadowlands. Additionally, there appears to have been an error in leaving out a script on one of the nodes that would stop Jolee from saying "You aren't going to ask about it?" even if you had actually asked about it, which has been fixed.
    Compatibility:
The K1 Community Patch edits the Upper Shadowlands OnEnter script. Those changes are also incorporated into this mod. If you are using a mod that forcibly overwrites MOD files (like NPC Overhaul), make sure you install that mod first. This mod will patch a pre-existing kas_m24aa.mod in the Modules folder. Not compatible with any other mod that replaces the same level model (m24aa_09a). Not compatible with any other mod that puts kas24_force_01.dlg in the Override folder (although such a case should be fixable with a compatibility patch). Known Issues:
In order to get the forcefield to close and function properly again after a level transition, it was necessary to resort to a hack function Bioware implemented for (presumably) the same issue they had with doors on the Yavin space station. In testing this has worked perfectly fine, however, the specifics of the hack are undocumented, so there may be edge cases I haven't encountered. If anyone experiences any issues with it, let me know. As you can see in the video, there's a subtitle error for one of Jolee's lines. Fixing it is better left to dedicated dialog.tlk overhaul. The mod doesn't touch the Lower Shadowlands module, so there's no active field or control panel on that side. Perhaps that could be an optional extra added in a future update. Acknowledgements:
Thanks to @A Future Pilot for permission to distribute a modified version of K1CP's k_pkas24aa_enter.ncs Thanks to @JCarter426 for various scripting advice and troubleshooting, past and present Thanks to @LiliArch  for correctly guessing that it wasn't just Bioware being lazy, which lead me to find Bioware's hack Thanks to @bead-v for MDLEdit and KOTORMax Thanks to @ndix UR for TGA2TPC The control panel textures include a mishmash of various textures from The Old Republic MMO The robes worn in the screenshots/video are from @JCarter426's Fashion Line I: Cloaked Jedi Robes for K1 Thanks to @ebmar for pointing out the lack of TSLPatcher.exe in the initial release

  8. K1 Party Herding Armband

A simple armband utility mod that I made for my own use when testing K1CP, because I was constantly annoyed at party members lagging behind and preventing me from transitioning to the next module. When activated it jumps the other two party members to the current party leader (i.e. whoever is using the armband). I figured other people might have a use for it as well.
    Installation:
Run INSTALL.exe to install the mod. Add dp_ptyhrd_arm to your inventory via console or KSE. Equip to one of your armband inventory slots and activate by selecting it in the utility item slot in the UI (as you would a shield or adrenal).
    Credits:

  9. HD Vrook Recolored

Like most of you, I loved @Dark Hope's reskin for Jedi Master Vrook, 'HD Vrook'. However, I thought that the mod's changes to his skin tone -- from warm and healthy to pale and decidedly old -- fit far better for his appearance in KOTOR 2.
With her permission, I took Dark Hope's HD Vrook as a base and added a bit of warmth to Vrook's skin tone, to suit his appearance in KOTOR 1.

You can see this mod's texture in the image below, or compare it with other mod's textures in the screenshots above.
1 - HD Vrook Recolored (this mod)
    2 - HD Vrook (Dark Hope's original)
3 - upscaled vanilla Vrook (textures from Ultimate Character Overhaul)

Thanks to @Effix for helping me fix a texture error in my robes for the screenshot.

  10. [K1] SWTOR Male Jedi Consular - PC Replacement Soundset

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 26 JAN 2019
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]

    Description:
By request, now your (male) character in KotOR1 can sound like the male Jedi Consular from SWTOR.  OK, actually no one requested this one but it was the first SWTOR class I used and I haven’t put up many male sound sets.
Hopefully, I've found suitable lines for the PC various scenarios.  You'll have to let me know in the review section below.  (Details are better than just leaving stars, you see.)  Feel free to link videos of the lines in use if your review.  I would've done it myself but my computer has not been brought to repair shop yet.

This mod is only for Knights of the Old Republic 1.  Knights of the Old Republic 2 - although it has the voice files for the male and female PC - that game doesn't have them activated, rendering the Exile mute. In order to use this mod in Knights of the Old Republic 2, you must install JC's Player Soundset Restoration for K2 in KotOR2 before this mod. That being said: As this mod is strictly designed for KotOR1 and not for KotOR2, any sounds that do not end of playing what you expected should not be reported to me.

    Installation:
    -----------------
You'll not be dropping these into your Override like my usual mods.  This time you have new steps to follow.

    1) Move the original KotOR1 files that share the file names in this mod to a place you can find them.  (I recommend a folder on your desktop but you do you!)  Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder.
    2) Extract the files from the 7z folder. Grab the new files from that extracted folder and put them in Streamsounds folder.
Note: If you're using the mod on Steam this quote may prove helpful.
“I threw the files in Streamsound. I managed to fix it by verifying game files through Steam and reinstalling the mod though!”
    So . . . uh . . keep that in mind.

    Uninstall:
    --------------
Remove my files from the Streamsounds folder. Put the original files that you saved elsewhere back in the Streamsounds folder.

  13. [K1] SWTOR Female Trooper - PC Replacement Soundset

    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 27 JAN 2019

GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]

    Description:
So . . . have you felt I’ve been giving a bit too much love to the light side of the Force with last few sound sets?  Fair enough.
Now you’ll be able to play with a character with some character - the smooth, suave Imperial Agent from SWTOR.  Wreak havoc . . . but with some measure of subtlety. And always with style.

Note: If you're using the mod on Steam, this quote may prove helpful.
“I threw the files in Streamsound. I managed to fix it by verifying game files through steam and reinstalling the mod though!”

    Uninstall:
    --------------
Remove my files from the Streamsounds folder. Put the original files that you saved elsewhere back in the Streamsounds folder.

  15. [K1] Lana Beniko - PC Replacement Soundset

[K1] Lana Beniko - PC Replacement Soundset

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 07 JAN 2019
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]

    Description:
    --------------------
Now your PC character in KotOR1 can sound like Lana Beniko from SWTOR!
I've filled out as many of the options that I showed in the female PC voice lines document that I could. This also enables you - the player - to go through the lines and decide which is the best one to use. Options, people!  Who doesn't like options?

BTW, there isn’t a ported head mod for this voice to go with yet.  If you wish to join the thread to offer your interest in such a thing, go to this thread.

Hopefully, I've found suitable lines for the PC various scenarios.  You'll have to let me know in the review section below.  (Details are better than just leaving stars, you see.)  Feel free to link videos of the lines in use in your review.  I would've done it myself but my computer has not been brought to repair shop yet.

  16. [K1] PC Replacement Voices (Kira, DS Jaesa, LS Jaesa)

PC Replacement Voices (Kira, DS Jaesa, LS Jaesa)

    AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 25 DEC 2018
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.]
RECOMMENDED ADDITIONAL MODS: "TOR Ports: Kira Carsen  Female Player Head for K1", "TOR Ports: Jaesa Willsaam Female Player Head for K1" - both by @DarthParametric

    Description:
    ------------------
This mod's creation was in response to a request by @Untold Prophecy so give him a shout on his request thread if you liked his idea.

A few notes: Not all of the lines will play as that's how the game is set up.  However, I've filled out as many of the options that I showed in the female PC voice lines document that I could. This also enables you - the player - to go through the lines and decide which is the best one to use. Options, people!  Who doesn't like options?

Some more notes: There are no Jaesa or Kira lines for some of the mine lines that I could find so I included blank files so you won't hear the original PC character's voice.  I didn't replace the injury sounds either as it won't make a noticeable difference.  (One scream is much like another, IMHO.)  There were also a few where all three options use the same lines but as only one of those three play in game, you won't notice a difference. (It was easier copying one line to all three options than figuring out which one plays in game - which I can't do because my computer isn't working.)

    Installation:
    -----------------
There are three folders in the package: one for Kira Carsen, one for light side Jaesa Willsaam, and one for dark side Jaesa Willsaam.  Choose one (and only one) of these soundsets and you can't use multiple soundsets for one character.  Once you've made your choice, follow these instructions.
    1) Move the original KotOR1 files that share the file names in this mod to a place you can find them.  (I recommend a folder on your desktop.)  Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder where you have KotOR1 installed.
    2) Extract the files from the 7z folder. Grab the new files from that extracted folder and put them in Streamsounds folder.
Note: If you're using the mod on Steam, this quote may prove helpful.

  17. Alternative Textures for VP's Tin Cans

I've had these kicking around for a while for my own personal use, so I decided I should probably release them. They are intended for use with @Fallen Guardian's port of @VarsityPuppet's "Hi Poly Tin Cans" mod for K1, but they should also work for VP's original TSL version (although I haven't tested that myself). There wasn't much to work with given the UVs were designed to fit the atrocious Bioware textures, so they are just simple metal with a few grooves. But they work well for a minimalist/close-to-vanilla playthrough.
    Installation:
Copy the TPC files into your Override folder. Delete the existing w_Dblsbr_001.tga and w_Dblsbr_001.txi files in your Override folder (or don't copy those from the Tin Cans mod in the first place).
    Requirements:
    K1 - https://deadlystream.com/files/file/299-vps-hi-poly-tin-cans-kotor-1/
    TSL - https://deadlystream.com/files/file/42-vps-hi-poly-tin-cans/

  18. Female Czerka Officer's Uniform - Modder's Resource

Per some discussions on Discord with @N-DReW25, I have cobbled together a female version of the Czerka Officer's uniform for females. This is primarily intended as a modder's resource for people to use in their own mods. As such, there are three body models provided, Asian, Black, Caucasian, for use with whatever head models are desired. When creating a new appearance.2da row, only specify the model (N_CzerkOff_F_A, N_CzerkOff_F_B, or N_CzerkOff_F_C) and leave the texture column blank. This is because the model uses three different textures, thus is not compatible with appearance texture overrides.
You are free to incorporate the contents of this mod into your own work, as long as proper credit is provided. Do not redistribute the mod by itself.
For non-modders, I have also provided an optional installer that will replace the outfit worn by the Czerka Protocol Officer on Tatooine. Simply run the TSLPatcher installer in the Optional folder.

  19. [K1] Replacement Logo for KotOR Menu Screen

    MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 14 DEC 2021
    UPDATED RELEASE: 20 DEC 2021
GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1

    Description:
    In before the inevitable request…
As I just put up a TSL logo texture mod up yesterday, here’s one for the original KOTOR. This is my attempt to bring the logo in line with modern standards. This texture is sized at 2048 by 2048 (yes, you read that correctly) so it should definitely be slightly crisper than the original. The original texture was sized at 256 by 256.
Someone that shall remain nameless was inquiring about using my mod so they could extend the middle bar out to the end like the original menu logo did.  I have done this.  Additionally, the coloring on this “long bar” version was slightly de-saturated to more in mine with the original in-game logo.
For those not keeping up . . .
Short Bar Version: That’s the logo that you’ll see on the box art, the game discs, and the Prima Guide Book
Long Bar Version: A variant version of the logo where the bar that contains “Of The” stretches to the end letters rather being nestled in the center between the large “K” and large “S”
A reminder: this whole upload was originally a gag just so I could avoid taking a request in the future.  Looks like the joke’s on me.

    Before modding (actual size):

After (actual size of Short Bar version):

After (actual size of Long Bar version):

If you find the difference to be pleasing, please let me know in the comments.

    Installation:
With more options, there inevitably comes a longer instruction section.
First, choose which version you’ll be going with: Short Bar or Long Bar.  That’s where you’ll be grabbing textures from.
If you’re using an original version of KOTOR – that is you’re not using a widescreen mod (such as or UniWS, Flawless Widescreen, or Aspyr's natively widescreen version) – then you’ll want to place the “logo_sw_02.tga” file from the “Standard (Vanilla) Resolutions” sub folder from either the “Short Bar” folder or the “Long Bar folder”
If you’re using KOTOR with either UniWS, Flawless Widescreen, or Aspyr's natively widescreen version) – then you’ll want to place the “logo_sw_02.tga” file from the “For those using Widescreen fixes” sub folder from either the “Short Bar” folder or the “Long Bar” folder.

    Uninstallation:
Remove the TGA file from your Override folder.  Delete it.

    Known Bugs:
    None known at this time.

    Legal Disclaimer:
All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc., I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless by permission of the mod author. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either.
I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop or to NexusMods. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before you include my materials in your mod. Modders that request permission to use my mods and don’t do so will have my permission withdrawn after a period of one year after I originally granted (i.e. permission and use is time sensitive.)

Additionally: No, Publicola – you cannot use this in a mod of yours.

  20. KOTOR Widescreen Logos

This is intended as a one-stop shop for all widescreen logos available for KOTOR 1. Upscaled vanilla style, Origin logos, and a TOR-style variant made by GOG; they're all here. All logos provided are 1024x1024, large enough for even ultra high-def widescreen setups.
This is *not* a widescreen mod. This is a logo replacer intended for people who are already using a widescreen mod like UniWS.
(Check out the subreddit mod build and follow the directions!)

    Instructions:
    - Download and unzip the mod.
    - Look through the 'screenshots' folder (or check out the images provided above) to compare the different options and pick one for yourself.
    - Find your chosen folder, copy the image (logo_sw_02.tga) file within that folder, and paste it to the Override folder in KOTOR 1.

    -------------
    Credits:
01 K1CP Logo: this was the version seen above -- a higher resolution version of the original KOTOR logo, used by @DarthParametric as the logo for the 'Kotor 1 Community Patch' (K1CP). DarthParametric made a similar 'Vanilla Logo - Upscaled' available in their 'K1 Main Menu Widescreen Fix' mod, as did @Riisis in the 'HD Logo and Bigger Hud' mod. (Here's a screenshot of the first one; here's a screenshot of the second one). I much prefer the version used on the front page of K1CP, as it is a fair bit brighter with a bit more color saturation.
02 Origin Logo: this was the logo used by the Origin release of the game, recolored by them to match the TSL game's logo.
03 Origin Logo - Darker Color: I tried to match the original coloration of the first game, a slightly less 'bleached' look.
04 Origin Logo - Vanilla Stye: I tried to match the original size of the separator element (the part with the 'of the').
05 Origin Logo - Vanilla, Darker: I tried to match both the style and coloration of the original logo with the Origin graphics
06 TOR Logo: this was the logo used by the GOG release of the game. It was made available by DarthParametric as an optional logo replacer for his 'K1 Main Menu Widescreen Fix 1.2'. (Specifically look under 'OPTIONAL' > 'TOR-Style Logo - Centered'). He kindly made the original available via Discord, from which I made this logo image.

  21. [K1] Song for the Cantina

This mod change the background music [BGM] played inside Javyar's Cantina.

    -= BACKGROUND =-
For me who playthrough most of Taris' side-quests, spending ~80% of the time in the cantina is inevitable -- reporting to Zax about the bounties, hunting credits from dueling, and maybe just to crashes on the sofa while enjoying the view of all the hot chicks inside the cantina is always a routine.
But then at one moment I wanted to hear something new around the room, so I was thinking; why not make one?
Influenced by a mod which change the cantina music to the classic piece from "A New Hope" and a reddit user; RomMitney, whom made some really cool cantina style one, this mod was made then.

    -= ABOUT THIS MOD =-
This mod change the background music [BGM] played inside Javyar's Cantina to a custom one I made. At the time I was heavily-influenced with Lo-Sci-Fi stuffs -- something like world of Cyberpunk with lesser fidelity I wrote and created the song using FL Studio 12 PE. The song itself called "Tainted Love" With this installed you will have every cantina [module] in the game their own unique BGM Easter Egg: The song is included in "Lower City Movement #3", the third issues from a compilation of Lower City obscure artists which is released in 4001 BBY -- Included are two installation options; MP3 and WAV format that are needed depending on which version of the game. GOG/retail version should be good with the game's native WAV format -- however, there are also Steam and mobile-version of the game which--from what I recall--need it as an MP3.
-- provided as well a user-friendly uninstaller for best compatibility purpose.

    -= KNOWN ISSUES =-
N/A at the time it was tested -- let me know if you find some.

    -= FINAL REMARKS =-
This mod work best with Sith Holocron's "Animated Cantina Sign for KotOR 1" installed, as the animated-broken-blipping-sign gives you that lively feeling inside the cantina so, I'd recommend you to use that mod in conjunction with this.
There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM me here, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and using this mod.

Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

    -= INSTALLATION =-
Run the installer, pick one of the available and suitable options then hit the [Install Mod ->] button!

    -= UNINSTALLATION =-
Choose the UNINSTALL option in the installation menu Read the instructions for further required actions!
    -= COMPATIBILITY =-
Will be compatible with mostly anything. Unless with mods that force-overrides tar_m03ae.MOD and/or ambientmusic.2DA, also coincidentally file-name conflicted

    -= REDISTRIBUTION =-
I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions -- so be considerate to not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites.
However, you can use the music for your school and/or mod project or anything that is non-commercial, though be kindly to ask for permission first -- that way I know what's up, and if it's interesting enough I might offer to be involved, hahah. Or at least we'll talk. Cheers!

  22. Dantooine Additional NPC Overhaul

    THE DANTOOINE ADDITIONAL NPC OVERHAUL
Changes key NPCs (not related to the Sandrals or Matales) to have unique -- or at least unique-adjacent -- heads and appearances.
For Dantooine this means the following:
Various ambient Jedi get their heads swapped from primary to secondary commoners--no more duplicates who won't talk to you. This includes one Courtyard Jedi who is now an orange Twi'lek--call it a diversity win.
Crattis is made orange to help set him apart from Karl.
Sol'aa has his green Xbox appearance restored so nobody can call me prejudiced against Twi'leks or the colour green.
Elise (the droid kriffer) gets blonde hair and red lipstick. She's lonely and deserves nice things maybe.
Lur Arka gets a unique red Twi'lek head based off of Xor's unique Twi'lek head. He also will be wearing a darker clothing variant just to make him stand out a bit more.
    For the quests proper:
Nemo gets a new head based off a mix between Vrook and the Old Commoner head he had before. Corpse changed to match.
Jon the farmer gets a new (blond) head with facial hair, based off PMHC03.
Sherruk gets a unique red Mandalorian appearance where Mandalorian symbols are featured prominently on his chestplate as well as his back.
Rickard Lusoff gets a unique head based off PMHA05, as well as a skintone-on-glove-appropriate smuggler's outfit, to give him that hunter-loanshark look he was always meant to have. (For best results, pair with DarthParamedic's TOR Ports: Handon's Enhanced Waistline).

Big ups to the modding community who love the game as much for what it is as what it could be.

All work is mine and may only be used with permission. I didn't spend hours bouncing between Kotor Tool, GIMP, various image upscaling websites, and a new override folder just to have the credit stolen.

  23. Taris NPC Overhaul

Tired of seeing the same five people everywhere on Taris? Struggling to tell the Vulkars and Beks apart? Want your named quest-givers to stand out in a crowd? Then this is your mod.
Uses TSLPatcher to make the following changes:
    [Main Mod]
The serving staff now has a uniform more or less: red for Upper City, green for Javyar's Cantina.
(Note: I chose to leave Gerlon in his red clothes with the logic that he's actively trying to blend into the background given that he's, y'know. A scammer.)
Kandon Ark is now orange, and his bodyguard is green.
Zelkor and Gurney both wear green now. Like unofficial Tarisian scrubs.
Davik's Agent uses an alternate Black Commoner model, as does Hudron.

    Throughout the Lower City:
Various modifications to the Vulkars and Beks to a) give them a little more gender/species equality and b) to color-code the gangs/alien stock models.
Now when Matrik says you aren't in Hidden Bek colors, it might actually make sense.
    Beks: Blue/aqua
    Vulkars: Orange/red
(Note: I left Davik's Estate unchanged. Based on Canderous's intro scene, it seems like Davik has an arrangement with the swoop gangs--either officially or on an individual basis. Indentured servitude: the Exchange at its finest.)
    In the Undercity:
Hester now uses the Black Female Dirty Commoner model so she's not identical to both vanilla!Shaleena and one of the rakghoul victims.
The Gate Guard Trewin has his name back.
Igear is now Asian, while both of the beggars use different Black Commoner models (because we already have Gurney fullfilling almost the same role and that's just unfairly lazy).
The Republic Soldier is in uniform.
    [Unique Heads]
Dia now has a unique head based off PFHA02.
Matrik has Zhar's head and wears Cinnegar Weave Armor.
Holdan now has a unique head based off Dustil's, giving him a scruffy beard as well as a scar from Dia's vibroblade.
Unique heads for Ice, Gerlon, and Marl based off PFHC03, PMHC05, and Gendar respectively, and a unique jumpsuit for Twitch colored to match the combat suits of his fellow duelists.
Rukil has whiter hair, blue eyes, and a few tattoos/brands marking him as an Outcast and believer in the Promised Land.
On the Swoop Track: Phirk gets a teal-colored jumpsuit to make him stand out while still following the Bek color scheme, while Redros has greener skin than his fellow Nikto and Doba has a morph of a regular and lite Rodian.
    [Undercity Culture]
Gives all the Undercity commoners tattoos that say "Outcast" in Aurebesh. They aren't too obvious, but they do exist.
    [Optional Asian Shaleena]
Gives Shaleena a unique Asian head based primarily on PFHA05.
    [Davik's Gamorrean Guest]
Changes Davik's Rodian guest into a Gamorrean. For the lols.

  24. I Don't Want to Be a Jedi

    Description:
A tiny mod for KotOR 1 that gives the player the option to avoid becoming a Jedi and remain a Soldier, Scout, or Scoundrel for the entire game.
It adds two new replies towards the end of the second conversation with the Jedi Council. As you can see from the screenshot, the new replies start with "[Refuse Jedi Training]", so there should be no confusion as to what they do or which ones they are.
If you choose not to be a Jedi, that conversation leads directly into the "corruption in the grove" quest, skipping over several parts of the Jedi training quest.
Scripts are included to enable cross-classing as a non-Jedi. So, for example, a Scout can cross-class as a Soldier, etc.
The option to cross-class as a non-Jedi is given through subtitles at the end of that second conversation with the Council.
To avoid cross-classing as a non-Jedi, simply choose "No" when asked if you want to cross-class.
Note that there is no second opportunity to cross-class or become a Jedi. If you change your mind later or you misclick, you'll have to reload or use a save editor.
If you're wondering why anyone would want to do this, some people might want to do a "challenge run" without lightsabers or Force powers. Others might want to roleplay a trooper, smuggler, or bounty hunter-type character who refuses to use the Force.
If you're wondering how this might be explained from a story standpoint, considering that the PC is regularly referred to as Padawan or Jedi, my explanation is that the PC is a "nominal Jedi". The PC is Force Sensitive and the Council considers them a (stubborn, uncooperative, foolish, and possibly evil) member of the Jedi Order, but the PC refuses to cultivate their Force abilities (in any obvious way), to wear robes, or to use lightsabers. Other than the Council and a few others who insist on treating the PC as a Jedi because they "should be a Jedi", NPCs are playing along. Or they don't know any better. They encounter a Force Sensitive or someone who seems like a Jedi, and assume that they must be one.

    A bunch of custom scripts
    Installation:
Open the I Don't Want to Be a Jedi 3.0 archive and extract the loose .dlg files and .ncs scripts into your Override folder. Ignore the "Source Scripts" folder.
    Uninstallation:
Remove the .dlg files found in the archive from your Override folder. The scripts won't do anything without the .dlg files, so you can leave them or delete them.
