    Mandalorian reskin

I reskinned the Mandalorians, resized the textures to 1024x1024 and gave them the white marking on the helmet like in TOR. This is part of a larger project.

This mod adds fancy VFX and SFX alignment change both to the dark side and light side in two available style; TOR and TSL. -= BACKGROUND =- Not much of a background -- just my curiosity fueled with @DarthParametric's invaluable insights and assistance trying something never been done [at least to release stage until this mod was attempted] and documented previously to K1 based on its successors; The Sith Lords and The Old Republic. -= ABOUT THIS MOD =- TOR style -- adds IN-cutscenes VFX and SFX based on TOR's TSL style -- adds POST-cutscenes VFX and SFX based on TSL's TOR style no SFX -- adds ONLY IN-cutscenes VFX based on TOR's TSL style no SFX -- adds ONLY POST-cutscenes VFX based on TSL's * Preview [v1.0.1] -- To its VFX base it's using ported TSL models and texture [for the dark side ones] provided by DarthParametric. As for the SFX, I had them ported from TSL -- originally comes as mus_s_darkshort and mus_s_lightshort. -- provided as well user-friendly uninstaller for convenience purpose. -= KNOWN ISSUES =- TOR style -- at some potential cases [depending on how the cutscenes were set up] the SFX and/or VFX won't show up if the camera/frame far-off from the Player. In SFX's case -- because Players' presence on-screen's needed as they're the medium for the SFX output TSL style -- as using a spawned placeable's OnHeartbeat [which checks for and] to trigger the VFX and SFX for ONLY every ~3 seconds, they will not fired instantly. Delays are to be expected with this one. Also, as I didn't include ratio check to DS and LS gains sometimes you'll see LS status with DS' VFX/SFX and vice-versa. That often happens if there are multiple alignment sets in one continuous cutscenes There are module-specifics scripts that alter the alignment which is outside the scope of this mod -- at least at this current stage. With that in mind sometimes you won't see the mod's working although there are alignment change's happening -= FINAL REMARKS =- There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. This mod replaces all the saber icons [Mantle of the Force, Heart of the Guardian and Malak's Lightsaber included] with the all new Cool Saber Icons. -= BACKGROUND =- When I switch around the lightsabers on the equip-list menu I had noticed that the blue lightsaber icons wasn't blue enough -- it was more purple than blue for this eyes, so I decided to make it blue, similar to the blade's color. The color of the icons were inspired by JCarter426's "JC's Lightsaber Visual Effects", the K1 version in particular. In the end not only the color that was changed, but the overall style of all the icons as well. -= ABOUT THIS MOD =- Inside this mod are 22 new Cool Saber Icons in TPC format -- covering all the available [saber] icons [including the unobtainable Malak's] in vanilla game. Preview -- As in v2.0.0 the hilts were rendered using VarsityPuppet's "Hi Poly Tin Cans" [ported to K1 by Fallen Guardian] enhanced by DarthParametric's "Alternative Textures". DP did the neat work as well on rendering them for me to repurpose as icons. As for the background bits I used and combined the TOR assets ported and provided by Magnetiicz. -- provided as well user-friendly TGA/DDS/TXI cleaner and mod-uninstaller for convenience purpose. -= FINAL REMARKS =- As it stands now Malak's Lightsaber is unobtainable in-game in a regular way. However, you can use cheat-console then type for giveitem g_w_lghtsbr06 to get one. I planned on allowing players to obtain one in-game sometimes in the future -- probably with the next update. 9. I'm aware that this topic was already broached two years ago, but I feel that necroing a single comment thread is in bad taste. Instead, i'd like to request parity between the genders of player characters and request a female Pureblood Sith player head. I've Identified 3 potential heads that I feel are the best options, namely Samara Breesh (the merchant on Corellia), Sathel (the Korriban Academy instructor), and Ladra (the Revanite on Dromund Kaas). My personal preference leans towards Ladra, but feel free to port whichever you feel most comfortable with/prefer.

  11. I was wondering if there is anyway to bring over voice clips of Jaesa, Kira, and Meetra (if she had any?) to use as combat dialogue for female characters in K1 and K2? Voice clips that could be used for things like taking too much damage, unlocking of failing to unlock doors, or just general grunts and taunts that can be used in conjunction with Darth Parametric's head mods.
  12. I just finished TSL again (there were lot's of excellent mods out over the last year). While I'm going to play it through again as a female character (haven't played that story line yet), I was looking at the SW:TOR game a lot more closely. I read the novels that were written based on the game and found them interesting. The Darth Malgus stuff especially. There's a lot more content out there, and now it's "Free to Play" up to level 50. Not fully understanding what that means, or at least if that's actually a deal or not, I thought I would ask this community a few questions to help educate me before dropping any amount of $. Does level 50 even mean anything as far as progression (story and/or character wise)? Nothing would piss me off more than basically just getting started (like say, just getting off of Telos in TSL) and finding out that NOPE - NOW YOU GOTTA PAY The game is a MMORPG - so... is it single-player enough? I just want to play MY character and get lost in the story. Can you play it like you would KOTOR or TSL? If I understand right, the subscription basically means that I have to A: Pay for any/all expansions (obvious) B: Continue to pay just to play a game that I might be happy to purchase outright The Subscription thing is currently the largest factor turning me off to this. I loathe the idea of having to continue to pay for a game after already paying $ for it. Motivating factors that MIGHT make it worth it to ME: - MOST IMPORTANT : Storylines that are at least as good (or at least really complex and interesting) as the ones present in KOTOR and TSL - Enormous galactic map(s) to explore - As "unique" an experience as they promised. Choices are choices, no matter what the outcome (like Light vs Gray vs Dark) - Expansions integrate with the REST of the expansions, allowing for smooth storylines no matter what level and/or point in the story - Gameplay is decent, not super-difficult or complicated, or at least no more than KOTOR & TSL It LOOKS really awesome... but everybody seems to still be disappointed enough to continue to MOD and play KOTOR and TSL. Which tells you something right there. I mean, okay, some of the most compelling Star Wars stories to date, but, gameplay and graphically speaking, it's getting more dated every year. Thank you to anybody taking the time to read it and/or reply. I'm not going to stop playing these awesome mods (I still have to play BOS and BOS:SR !!!) - just looking for some new Star Wars stories to get into. Also - the "motivating factors" are only expressed as the ones that I generally look for first in a game. I'm a sucker for a great story I can get lost in (like Assassins' Creed and L.A. Noir). So, if there happen to be OTHER motivating factors in favor of paying $ for SW:TOR that I haven't considered, please feel free to state them. Might be that it just hadn't occurred to me yet and it may be a really cool reason to play it.

  14. So.... I got the "Early Access" as a subscriber, so when I logged in on Wednesday to play, it downloaded a huge update that didn't finish until about 2 am. So Thursday night, I finally get a chance to play it. BUGS ENORMOUS!!! First thing, they completely changed the interface - took me about 10 minutes or so to re-locate everything. Also, it reset EVERYTHING - Class skills, Crew Skills, etc - all blank. It re-organized my quick bars, so I had to go through and get them back to where I wanted them. So.. after all that, which I admit isn't super-crappy, just kind of pain... I get a tutorial alert. So I click on said alert, and ALL of my quick-bars are blanked out and all of my class skills are gone AND unavailable - right at the beginning of the chapter. I had to bail (no tutorial every populated, either, and all of my tuts and codex's were GONE). Please tell me some of the rest of you experienced this as well.... I haven't been playing this game quite long enough to know if this is pretty typical for them, but I have got to say that they're Beta-Testers are BULLSHIT.

  17. Today I am excited to announce; 1.8.3 is released. M4-78EP's update is released. For some background, M4-78EP's release was 1 year and 3 months ago. It has been 1 year and 3 months since TSLRCM 1.8.2 was released. What an exciting few years it has been for us! KoTOR 2 is a little over 9 years old, but the modding community still runs strong. Give KOTOR2 a happy 10th birthday next year, it deserves it! Let me take this time to thank all our followers; All the people who made this possible, who downloaded our mod, gave us feedback and spread word of TSLCRM into the world, all of our fans who voted us 10th in mod of the year 2012 and honorary mod of 2013, and of course all of the fans looking forward to M4-78EP. Once of our proudest moments and maybe the best reward of all is how Chris Avellone (@ChrisAvellone) himself tweeted about our 1.8 release! To reminisce a little, this all started with the usual response to complaints about TSLRP, which was that people should make their own mod, then they could complain. 2 modders, Stoney and Zbyl2 (with help from Jinger and a few others), did just that. TSLRCM was first released to the public on 24 September 2009. The release was version 1.4 and was labeled as a public beta, being a playable mod with few to no game breaking bugs. 1.4 was improved by patches 1.4a, 1.4b, 1.4c, and 1.4d. At this point, animator Savvy30039 decided to contribute her lean animation to the restoration, which was included in 1.4d. On 15 march 2010 was the release of TSLRCM 1.5. A patch to the mod, 1.5a, was released shortly after to resolve some remaining bugs. Between 1.5 and 1.6 the development team was strengthened by Hassat Hunter (previously testing) and Varsity Puppet (previously some minor tweaks, now HK-Factory, Peragus and other areas). On June 24th, 2010, TSLRCM 1.6 was released, featuring various cut scene tweaks, dialog bug fixes and more. On October 16th, 2010, TSLRCM 1.7 was released, which features additional bug-fixes and other additions such as: the Visas-Nihilus movie using the in-game engine to play (rather than a pre-rendered BIK movie), Kreia's Battle for Telos Mod was integrated into the mod, the low-res BIK movies of the Dantooine battle replaced with in- game ones, and an improved dialog.tlk mod integrated/improved upon (for the English version.) Almost a year has passed, but work still continued on 1.8, which is the biggest TSLRCM release yet. It was released on 24 july 2012. On 28 December 2012, after a long period of development, finally M4-78EP saw the light, adding a full grand planet to explore and experience more KOTOR2 gameplay in, and actually talk with Vash herself(alive as well), explaining some critical details about force bonds to the player, meanwhile uncovering the events which took place just before the Exile's arrival. Let's talk TSLRCM 1.8.3. As you can expect with the time it took, its considerable bigger than 1.8.1 and 1.8.2 combined. Don't expect major leaps though, 1.8's done pretty much everything possible to the game, instead 1.8.3 is just fixing all the tiny little snippets of little bugs that dare pop up from time to time. And even though we have been at it quite some time, there apparently are still vanilla issues around only to be found now. Like how messed up all the sound sets on the Ravager were, truthfully I hope after 1.8.3 there will be no need for a 1.8.4. Now let us shift gears to the M4-78EP update; Unlike TSLRCM 1.8.3, this patch is more than that; it is a true update, rather than a bug fixing patch. While many issues have been resolved, most of its development time has been used up on making new content, adding to existing content, and completely overhauling certain endgame cut scenes. While the change list for M4-78EP is quite minor, please understand the KoTOR’s game engine (Odyssey) is quite a pain to mod most of the time, so remember a lot of time and effort went into these changes. This update will also be released today! However, all of this work we have put into TSLRCM and M4-78EP, was not just for us, but for the entire community. We want everyone to experience a fun, full and non-frustrating play through of KoTOR 2. That is why we spent so much time on KoTOR 2 and that is why these updates are dedicated to you, our fans and community. Thank you for all the support these last 5 years, it has been amazing. ~The TSLRCM and M4-78 crew Download TSLRCM 1.8.3 HERE! Download M4-78EP HERE!
