Please note this is a CUSTOM FAN INTERPRETATION of the Revelation cutscene, it is not 100% faithful to the original BIK and features the use of visual mods. File Name: "DV's The Revelation Cutscene Remake V.1" Author: Darth Varkor Works for: Knights of the Old Republic I K1 Restoration Compatibility: Yes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description: For a while, I have been thinking about re-creating various BIK cutscenes within the games, not just for my own personal machinima-related use, but to upload for public use as a mod. Now, as I am fairly limited to what I can do (in-game scripting and some basic animation in After Effects) I lack the skills in software such as 3DSMax to fully recreate some cutscenes such as the various ones of the Ebon Hawk taking off and landing on the various worlds. Anyway, I decided to first have a stab at the infamous 'Revelation' cutscene, providing my take on the scene, capturing all footage in-game. The cutscene plays out fairly similiarly to how the original does, but, with some of my own alterations/additions. Any constructive feedback is welcome. Installation: Simply drag the BIK file provided and drop it in the "Movies" folder located within your SWKotOR directory. You should probably make a back-up of the original movie in-case the mod fails to work for whatever reason, or in case you simply prefer the original cutscene. Uninstallation: Remove the BIK file and replace it with the original. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Video demonstration of the mod. Mods used in this cutscene: XediiXarwarz - Dantooine 2012 Reskin XediiXarwarz - Taris 2012 Reskin Oldflashi - K1 Movie Style Hilts JC's Lightbaber Visual Effects Sithspecter & jonathan7 - Darth Revan's Robes Revisioned CarthOnasty - Star Map Revamp V.1 Kexikus - High Quality Stars and Nebulas starforge1 - Darth Malak Reskin Pack *I do NOT give permission for this mod to be re-uploaded without my consent.* Contact Info: DeadlyStream.
  2. Hi, there! (Apologies in advance if I've posted this in the wrong place) I'm an avid fan of this franchise and have been playing on repeat since it first came out in 2003. I'm also brand-new to the modding scene (I've only made one mod, for Pillars of Eternity) and would love to get into modding KotOR II. I think it would be great if there would be a mod that changed the attack animations of Jedi depending on which lightsaber form they were currently using (e.g. tighter, more defensive movements for the Soresu form and more wild movements for Ataru or Juyo). However, as I search around these forums and other places, I find myself at a loss for how to make this mod. While I have a few years' programming experience, I have absolutely no experience making 3D animations and no experience modding KotOR II - though I would love to learn! If anyone has some advice for me, or if they would like to join in on this project, I would greatly appreciate it! With love and respect, ~Finchyy2702
  3. View File [K1] Lyn Sekla "Legends" This mod presents you an overhauled version of Lyn Sekla; a female Twi'lek who wanted desperately to get off Taris. In 3956 BBY, she heard that Bib Surool was stuck on Taris due to the Sith quarantine, and auditioned for him as a dancer. # Background # "But if you're ever traveling the galaxy and you see the Starlight Entertainers performing, stop by and ask for Lyn. I'll see if I can get you some free tickets". Spoiler-alert!: Actually, there's no correlation between the above statement and this texture overhaul, sorry for that lol. This overhaul was started because when surfing through mod's section in DeadlyStream, I saw an amazing Twi'lek's texture by @Dark Hope that leads me to think "Ah, this could be something!", and when I saw the description, DH also seems to wish that the texture could be utilized as a character for a story. So, I made up my mind to use the texture for Lyn Sekla; which I believe she would need a custom-unique appearance upstaging the rest of female Twi'lek's in the planet. The Force works right through me; I have the permission to use the assets from DH, and then the project was started then. # About this Mod # Significant change to the appearance of Lyn Sekla, using the base texture of "Girl with Ritual Tattoos", a high-quality texture mod created by Dark Hope which later I have them edited to fits this concept of the 'Legends' series of Lyn Sekla. [Updated in v1.0.1] # Final Remarks # Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- PM me at deadlystream.com [ebmar] or just write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: Run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe]. Uninstallation: Remove n_twilekf001.utc [and the rest of the textures files, if you wish] from the 'Override' folder. Compatibility: Will not compatible with mods that changes the value nor conflicted with n_twilekf001.utc. This mod will be compatible with Dark Hope's "Girl with Ritual Tattoos" as this mod use different variation for the textures and the model that will not conflicted with the said mod. There is an update from @DarthParametric whom has found one other instance of n_twilekf001.utc in the game which potentially can caused multiple appearance of "Lyn Sekla". So, where the other instance is? The good news is, the mod probably in an OK state now. 🤞 Redistribution: Do not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website at all. As inside this mod, there are base assets which they are not belongs to mine. If you plan on using this mod or only the assets from this mod to a mod you will be developing, I would be thankful if you give credits to Dark Hope as the creator of the base texture. Also, a credits to my name is always a welcome, welcome. Credits: Dark Hope for permission and for the "Girl with Ritual Tattoos" mod. DarthParametric for past-present knowledge, that made it possible for me to create custom NPCs. 5. A friend of mine recently requested that I make the unused bearded Canderous head a select able PC head in K1 and TSL, I told him that I can't port models to K1 yet due to lack of experience. But that I would happily attempt to get it working in TSL... Welp, that didn't work out well. I extracted the head, it's texture, and all the other files that I needed to extract. I renamed the head to replace the Obi-Wan looking guy. And.... this happened. But hey, despite the fact I unleashed a borderline Lovecraftian horror into the world of Star wars. At least it's progress!
  6. To any modders on this Reddit, I have a brilliant idea for a mod. Someone/group should make a mod where we Zayne Carrick appears in KOTOR 1 and 2 on different locations. He was a fan favorite in those KOTOR comics and I always wish we see him appear or least mention in those games; it's those cases where I wish the comic came out before the game. I want to know what happens
  7. This has been driving me nuts for years. I've tried to do this several times but I've never been able to successfully pull it off. Simply put; I'd like my character to visually wear Atton's jacket. I think that jacket is the freshest piece of clothing in the Star Wars universe and possibly all of sci fi, and I wanna punch sith in the face while wearing it. I don't care if it's the actual item of Atton's ribbed jacket or another item being rigged to appear as the jacket; I just want my Exile to be able to wear it. There is a pitiful lack of information on the web about what values in the appearance.2da file correspond to, and I've been trying to change character models to no avail. I tried editing Atton's jacket to not be restricted to him, which works in a sense, but it shows up as the default jedi clothing on the player character which is obviously not I am going for. I'm not sure which entries in the appearance.2da refer to the player character models. I've set a TON of them to have their model B (which corresponds to default clothing, I believe?) appear as Atton's jacket model, but so far it has not worked. I need some help from someone who knows this stuff better than I do. Either a step-by-step guide on how to properly configure my appearance.2da or a straight up model replacement would be greatly appreciated.
  8. View File [K1] Selven "Legends" This mod presents you an overhauled version of Selven; a human high-profile assassin who became infamous for her extermination of the Ulgo family on Taris and tons of other assassination attempts. # Background # "Now you'll see why I'm the most dangerous assassin on Taris". Spoiler-alert!: # About this Mod # Changes to both the head and body texture so now Selven is more Selven. [Updated in 1.3] Selven's much harder to fight. She was now designed to be encountered with high level PCs; more likely with Bastila in the party. [Updated in 1.3] Some tweaks to the voice to fit her new personality. Selven got a new pair of blaster and blade. They were described as SS-SL7 Rapid Blaster and DM-SL7 Vibroblade. [Updated in 1.3] Some new stuffs in her inventory also; which some are proven to be valuable loots- if, she has been defeated. [Updated in 1.3 - 'Selven's "Vanilla" Difficulty and Inventory' patch included] # Final Remarks # Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated- PM me at deadlystream.com [ebmar] or just write a public message on my feed. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: Run the installer [TSLPatcher.exe]. [Updated in 1.3] Uninstallation: Remove tar03_selven031.utc from the 'Override' folder. If you want to ensure this mod to work properly, install this mod after T7's "WotOR" and/or all other mods has. This mod is 100% compatible with Sithspecter's "High Quality Blasters" and DeadMan's "[K1] Vibrosword Replacement Pack", as the textures and models inside this mod are using different variations from the said mods. [Updated in 1.3] Redistribution: Do not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any website at all. If you're planning to re-use the assets from this mod- please, ask me for permission first. Most likely it will be granted. More importantly, give credits to Sithspecter and DeadMan, as SS provides us the blaster's resource and DM actually asking on his mod's page to only give him credits for using the blade's assets. And if you're planning to re-use the blade assets to a mod that you're going to release on Steam Workshop, it seems a permission would not be granted; referring to DM's wishes on the mod's page. 11. View File [K1] Force Powers' Sounds Pack This mod replaces Force Powers' SFXs in the SW:KotOR game with the modded version's SFXs. # Background # To tell the truth, I am pleased with the original Force Powers' SFX but it's just- I want to experience something different- something fresh; and the project was started then. # About this Mod # Inside this version are 7 modded Force Powers' Sound FXs; some based on in-game vanilla assets, and some others are modifications from Shem's "Ultimate Sound Mod"; which he gave permission for anyone whom wants to use the work he have done in a future mod, to just give him credit for what they have used. So, they are: Force Use [v_useforce] - Sound FX produced first when using Force Powers [noticeably heard with Force Cure, Force Heal, Force Armor, Force Aura, and Force Energy Resistance]. Force Lightning [v_pro_lightning] - Sound FX produced when using Force Lightning. Force Death Field [v_pro_deathfeld] - Sound FX produced when using Force Death Field. Force Wave [v_imp_frcwave] - Sound FX produced when using Force Wave. Force Choke [v_imp_choke] - Sound FX produced when using Force Choke. Force Throw Lightsaber [v_throw] - Sound FX produced when using Throw Lightsaber. Force Destroy Droid [v_pro_droidkill] - Sound FX produced when using Force Destroy Droid. This mod can be installed anytime and/or anywhere on the game, and will have direct effect to the game. Shem's Terms of Use: # Final Remarks # I suggest you to install Shem's "Ultimate Sound Mod" [first] along with JCarter426's "JC's K1 Sound Effects" [second], and then sync them with this mod [third]. 15. I am asking for help with creating a mod I am working on. I am trying to create a new crystal for my lightsaber. I want to edit the Blue Color Crystal. Since it does nothing but affect on the color of the blade I know I will have full control of the features so I can decide what I want my lightsaber to have. I cannot use any of the other crystals because they are already hard-wired with specific aspects. I have seen new mods with new lightsabers and crystals so I am hoping for help me with this. I have the attached a copy of the .uti file that I have customized for the new crystal as well as the script files I am using for my mod so you can see what I mean. Can you please tell me what .2da files I need to edit, if any, or anything else I need to do to make the new crystal become available in the game? I may have to edit the scripts so my characters will be given it in the mod? Can you please tell me how to do that? Thank you in advance. Crystals.zip

  18. HK-47, especially "canon" HK (By which I mean the assassin that can make a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope), is underwhelming. Has been for a decade and a half. He's hilarious, and I love him as a companion, but he's never as deadly with a rifle as he could be. Even with his unique "Assassination Protocols" Feat in KOTOR II, he severely disappoints. You can give him twin pistols, and that helps, but then he just feels like every other ranged dual-wielder. SO. I propose that the Assassin droid (Or rather, the "Combat Droid" Character class) gets some tweaks to his class mechanics. Now, I want to preface this by saying that I know I can do all of these things with KSE. I have done this before - That's how I tested the class modifications to make sure it worked. But I want to make this organic, so that HK feels like he's supposed to be a proper assassin droid and not just a cool looking Soldier class. The Principle behind these changes is Disable-Destroy-Repeat, and revolves around giving HK the "Sneak attack" feats and the ability to stealth. His droid gadgets become more useful thanks to being able to make use of his own stuns, and the stun from master sniper shot combined with the larger crit range on rifles compared to pistols makes him feel like a proper marksma... droid. Marksdroid. There'd need to be two versions, one for KOTOR and another for KOTOR II. KOTOR -A new feat called "Integrated Cloaking" or some such - Basically a clone of Juhani's "Force Camouflage" - that lets Assassin/Combat Droids enter stealth. (Or, just give him Force camo and call it a day?) -Also make Stealth a Class Skill for Combat Droid -Combat Droid borrows Sneak Attack from the Scoundrel Class, gaining Levels naturally on level up. KOTOR II -Droid Cloaking already Exists as one of GOTO's unique feats. Give him that. -Stealth Class Skill -Precise shot, Targeting and Sneak attack awarded on Level up. So what do y'all think? Possible?
  19. I have been messing around with the excellent Lost Modules resource, and would like to do something with the 2 most complete maps. The Czerka base on Korriban is pretty complete, and can be seen in some early screenshots. The cut shadowlands level is also usable, though there isn't any indication of what it was for. It is probable that content from the shadowlands was moved out of this module to reduce its size (this is obviously entirely speculative). I thought about NPCs that were underused, and immediately went to Garrum and Tar'eelok, the cut NPCs that duel with Vibroblades in the Jedi temple. They have basically no role except to offer Jedi Code exposition. They also use alien voice overs which is the most important consideration. The Czerka base is set up like a hallway, with a shield emitter at the far end, and the obvious plot involving a master and apprentice is to have the master get captured and the apprentice freak out. The Kashyyyk Shadowlands is also an excellent place to have Czerka dealing with the Sith outside of Korriban, as the Sith aren't really present on Kashyyyk, and it provides some interesting combat situations and potential conversation paths to turn less dedicated Czerka employees. Considering all that, I came up with this general story outline: 1. The Shadowlands lift Wookiees mentions that some heavily armed Czerka employees recently went into the Shadowlands after a ship crashed. 2. Entering into the cut Shadowlands level (either inserted in between the existing levels, or as a separate area entered from another entrance), you are attacked by Czerka guards. After fighting through them (or convincing some to run away), you meet Garrum. 3. Garrum has killed a lot of Czerka Employees and a Dark Jedi. You find out that Tar'eelok was captured. You deduce that the Czerka would take them to Korriban, as that is were Czerka and the Sith do business. 4. You then have 4 paths to follow with Garrum: 4. a. Persuade him to go to Dantooine (Light Side) 4. b. Let him go to Korriban Looking for Tar'eelok (Neutral) 4. c. Persuade him to seek Revenge on Korriban (Dark Side) 4. d. Kill him for being (or because you're) evil and giving in to anger (Dark Side) 5. You then go to Korriban and enter the Czerka facility (with identification you found in the Shadowlands). 6. You fight through Czerka Employees and Combat Droids. If Garrum is on Korriban, you have to rescue him from a holding cell while making your way through the base. You then have another conversation. Garrum always stays back to recuperate and catch up to you later. You can push him towards the Light or Dark side in this conversation. 7. Upon shutting down the shield guarding the main room, you find a Dark Jedi and a Czerka Boss, with Tar'eelok in a force cage. Garrum catches up to you at this point. If you pushed Garrum to the Dark Side he electrocutes the Czerka Boss. Either way you fight the Dark Jedi (and the Czerka Boss if alive). 8. Tar'eelok's cage opens once they are both dead. If Garrum is Dark Side, Tar'eelok will be displeased, and piss off Garrum. There are multiple results for this scene depending on what happens: 8. a. If Garrum isn't there, you can let Tar'eelok go to Dantooine or kill her. She will be sad if Garrum is already dead, and may attack you if you say the wrong things. 8. b. If Garrum is Light Side or Dark Side and talked down, she will be happy he is controlling his anger, and they will both go Dantooine 8. c. If Garrum is Dark Side and not talked down, he can be allowed (or encouraged) to kill Tar'eelok. He then runs off 9. The player may return to Dantooine at this point. If either Garrum or Tar'eelok is alive they will appear. A few different ending permutations can happen: 9. a. Garrum and Tar'eelok are alive. They appear in the courtyard outside. Tar'eelok thanks you for helping Garrum control his anger, and he is now a Padawan (regardless of when you did it) 9. b. Tar'eelok appears in the courtyard outside. She is sad and doesn't think she'll take another Apprentice. She thanks you for saving her, but wishes you could have saved Garrum. 9. c. Light Side Garrum can be found in the courtyard outside. He will inquire about Tar'eelok. The player must lie, but he can say she died in the fighting, or was executed before the player arrived. He will be upset he didn't go to Korriban. 9. d. Dark Side Garrum can be found in a bar on Tatooine working to destroy Czerka for turning his master against him. He will run off to disrupt Czerka mining operations. I think this is a fair amount of reactivity, but isn't actually that complicated in terms of setting up dialogues and events. It also gives the player a lot of potential results without feeling too contrived obviously. This is totally conceptual, but I think it makes a good use of these areas, and adds another mulitple planet spanning side quest, which are my favourite parts of the game.
  20. I'm a long time fan of KOTOR and it's nice to see people alive that are as well. Thanks to the staff and especially the community for keeping this place alive and well-maintained. Respect. Here is my original post: Thanks in advance but I was able to fix this as well. At this point this is more of a journal than a help post. I'm just gonna drop what I think will help anyone that was in my shoes: To enable the use of more advanced mods that use TSLPatcher and to the extent I've gone, KT: To get KT working (credits to @Rece), intended for Macs but the difference is minimal. .bif files are .bzf when ported from the phone, just rename the file extensions back(tedious but whatever). Also, you may need to uninstall and reinstall KT and\or delete settings.xml located within the KT directory. You may still encounter bugs and hiccups
  21. Ice Eclipse power textures View File These textures attempt a more realistic style while also adding effects that I don't see altered very often such as Poison. There are several iterations of major textures such as fire and lightning. Lightning has been given multiple colors for those who that matters to. Several of the new textures are large, though nothing over 2k. I may release an alternate version with lower image sizes for lower end PCs and Laptops. Currently none of these textures are animated, but that could change in the future. --------------------------------------- Screens have been added for most textures. Personal preference: Don't use my default fire. The alternate textures are eons better. Submitter Alan The Magic Goose Submitted 08/27/2017 Category Skins TSLRCM Compatible

    New UI

From the readme: Description This mod replaces some of the elements in the user interface (UI) with new versions. This mainly affects the combat UI, but some elements (like the health and force bars) are shared across multiple screens. The item bars and powers menus have new boxes, the combat and selection reticles have been replaced with more minimal versions, and a number of arrows have been replaced with a different style. The overall aim ahs been to imitate the style of the Designers Republic (http://www.thedesignersrepublic.com/), and their work, particularly on the Wipeout PlayStation franchise. Eventually, I may replace the whole UI, but this is it for now. NB: This mod has only really been tested on the widescreen, Steam version of the game. The elements may look different on other versions and at different resolutions. Installation Just drop the files into your Override folder. Uninstallation Take them out again.
