View File KotOR1 T3-M4 Voice Module Upgrade Here's a new KotOR1 mod of mine. You’ll probably hate it! KotOR1 T3-M4 Voice Module Upgrade MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 28 MAY 2023 FOR WHAT GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1 Description: T3—M4 will sound a little more like his KotOR2 incarnation with this mod. Hopefully. This mod doesn’t touch the command/combat barks. It’s just the files that cover his (it’s?) conversations in dialogues. Just so you know, the barks are the same between both games. (The only thing different are the file names!) Installation: 1) Follow this path in your KotOR2 install and trace the route of the following…. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic > streamwaves > 2) In that streamwaves folder, find the following files and move them to your desktop (which will enable you to reinstall the original sounds if you don’t like what’s in this mod): n_gendro_coms1.wav n_gendro_coms2.wav n_gendro_coms3.wav n_gendro_haps1.wav n_gendro_ques1.wav n_gendro_sads1.wav 3) Place the following files from my mod into the streamwaves folder: n_gendro_coms1.wav n_gendro_coms2.wav n_gendro_coms3.wav n_gendro_haps1.wav n_gendro_ques1.wav n_gendro_sads1.wav 4) You might note that there are other files with different names that are also present in my mod folder. These were meant as alternate sounds so users could switch them out if they please. But the primary reason for being was so they could have been used by modders to add extra voice samples that they could direct to in their dialogues. Oh well. You can ignore these files: n_gendro_coms4.wav n_gendro_coms5.wav n_gendro_haps2.wav n_gendro_haps3.wav n_gendro_ques2.wav n_gendro_ques3.wav n_gendro_sads2.wav n_gendro_sads3.wav To Uninstall: Take the files that you put in step 2 of the install back out again. Return the files of the same name that you placed on your desktop back into the streamwaves folder. Known Bugs: None known at this time. Special Thanks: To JCarter426: For pointing out exactly where I could find the original sound files that were replaced with my mod. To Leilukin: For walking me through SithCodec. What does it do?

With the advent of reasonable AI voice facsimiles, I have a request for a tutorial on how to add a G0-T0 type filter to voices. One catch in the request is I'd love to tutorial to use software that is free for the public to use so no one is gated by a paywall. I've found a HK-47 filter long ago which I've already promoted elsewhere but G0-T0's filter eludes me. Thank you for your attention.

As someone that has spliced in the past, I'd say let the AI do it.

Gauging interest: Would you want a mod where T3-M4 sounds like their K1 self in TSL? Would you want a mod where T3-M4 sounds like their TSL self in TK1? It's not an either/or situation as if I f do finish this, I'll be releasing both versions.
-
Samples of K1 to TSL T3-M4 have been posted in the KOTOR Reddit Discord (mod development tab) if anyone is interested.
-
They sound good. By the way, are you planning to use both your longer treatments and K1 originals alongside eachother, or is your plan for a full replacement?

Counterpoint: The conversation takes place on Manaan so isn't saying "on Manaan" putting a fine point on it when it clearly isn't needed? Just remove the words "on Manaan" from the quote and you have it made!

I've been working on something and talking about it in private channels. I thought I'd ramble about it a bit more publicly now. As you've guessed from the blog's title, I'll be chatting about the Ebon Hawk light fixture. (Exciting, I know.) You most likely know which texture that I'm referring to but for clarity's sake, it's this one: BioWare back in day seemed to like to source their designs from real world things and I think I've figured out where they got this design from. I think it was from this: It's an un-produced design for a Luxfer Prism designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.. Those that follow this blog probably remember that I made a mod that replaced the BioWare texture with another (produced) glass tile design. But since I didn't have a real world object to take a snapshot of or Google for an image, I had to start from scratch. And this is what I came up with. Granted, I took some liberties with the design. Those hooks on the corners of the central sqaure aren't here. But I think I came pretty close to the design. Luckily, I have saved the individual parts separately as well, so I can easily change out colors if needed. And here's what you get if you tile the texture... Thanks for reading my rambling.

Neat stuff but that pronunciation of Manaan is pretty rough. You could try running that sentence through again with "Muh Non" rather than Manaan and see if you get a better result?
-
Video with the some or all of the new AI lines that were added, please? And from what voice actress was the voice AI sampled from?

Requesting an edit to EH med-bay in TSL prologue
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in Mod Requests
That would work better if the drawers (grey rectangles) were in the middle of the red cabinet so the monitors could seen in the cutscene shown above. I am sure I could find pictures to fill the other squares, especially if they were separated out to individual textures. (Having it way, I could use different frame lengths so they wouldn't be synchronized with each other.) Off topic: This is a long message for me to type on a phone. -
I'm making a request for an alteration med-bay to the Ebon Hawk as it is in the prologue of the game. (I figure limiting this to only the prologue version of the EH may make things easier for this actually be done.) Anyway, if we all recall , the Exile is unconscious in the med-bay for the prologue. I happen to have a EKG graphic which I previously used in another mod of mine. After doing some clean up in it, I figure I'd be able to use it again. I thought it might be useful to see the graphic on the bulkhead over the med-bay bed. (See green outline in image below for the best probable position.) And the name of the texture that you'd be attaching to the position above the Exile should be something that isn't already in the original game. Those that want to go the extra mile and ghave something that would be present through the entire game, that is also acceptable. (It may help distract a bit from Visas awkward unconscious position after you defeat her.) Even if you don't feel like working on this yourself: If you have any suggestions to folks that are willing, to do so, please drop a comment below.

View File Ebon Hawk Cockpit Upgrade (LEH_Scre01) [Less Subtle Version] MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 22 MAR 2023 GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords Description: This mod replaces the LEH_scre01 textures found around the Ebon Hawk include much of the Ebon Hawk but as best remembered being seen around the Galaxy Map. The previous version will still be available for completists but I consider this version to be the definitive version. This is the “Less Subtle” version. (The “More Subtle” version is available here.) As before, the Galaxy Map texture is not included in this mod. Previously on Battlestar Galactica in the description: When Xarwarz was working on a sample of a monitor texture for the Ebon Hawk back in 2016, I had suggested to him that it could use a bit of animation to liven it up. Towards that end, I asked Quanon if he could render out a frame frames of a wire-frame model of the Ebon Hawk. I added in some sine wave activity and threw in some Aurebesh for good measure. One of the monitors was now animated. (and so on . . . ) Now: The texture has doubled in size allowing more detail. Only two of Xarwarz’s frames remain from the original texture. Both of those have been AI upscaled, had fresh text placed on them, and have had some extra animation added to them. The animation on these two frames as in the original – is subtle. (Well, subtle for me anyway.) The other two frames have been remade. One still uses Quanon’s wireframes but since the texture is now larger, I didn’t have to resize his captures nearly as much. New text was added here as well. And the other frame is a brand new animation made from scratch. The texture uses the same background surrounding the monitors as my More Subtle LEH_Scre01. So, if you switch between them, it won’t be a total change up. Installation: For either game – If already present in your Override folder, delete LEH_scre01.tpc, LEH_scre01.tga and LEH_scre01.txi (or move them to your Desktop) Then after extracting the contents of the 7z file, choose from the Overlay and Non-Overlay folders which TPC file you wish to use for your Ebon Hawk and place it in your Override folder. To Uninstall: Delete LEH_scre01.tpc from your Override folder. Known Bugs: None known at this time. If you do encounter one, please note it on the download page and tag me in the comment. I’ll see if I can work out out the issue. Legal Disclaimer: All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc., I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless by permission of the mod author. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. Ever. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use. Messages that request permission without providing information on how your alternate version would be different than mine should be considered an instant denial of permission. Special Thanks: To @ConansHair for the upscale of the original LEH_scre01 texture, overlay and alpha creation and for input on this mod’s release. To @ScrierOne for his permission to use his buttons in this texture. To @ebmar for their invaluable feedback on overlays for ConansHair. To Xarwarz: For the 2 frames that made their way to this texture. And to @Quanon: For providing the wire-frame models of the Ebon Hawk so long ago! A question about .MOD files...
Sith Holocron replied to Sith Holocron's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
If I were simply limiting myself to the vanilla KotOR1 and TSL modules, then I'd say: Yes, you can find these all online. But if you check out the logs below, you'll see I didn't limit myself to those vanilla modules. It is in fact why the blogs were made in the first place. Check out the beginning of this blog for information! And check out this one too if the idea of the first blog interests you. Edit: Looks like I've got my answer via KOTOR Reddit Discord thanks to @Leilukin and @JCarter426.. Let me quote liberally so others can know how to do this too. Leilukin answers my first question above with: Then JC and Leilukin answered my follow up question: I'm using this to find warp codes in mods that aren't vanilla areas. Must be they be installed in the game before using Holocron Tool? -
Is there a way to open a .MOD file to determine what the location's name is? This would greatly speed up the completion of the KOTOR Warp Code lists blogs. If so, could someone explain how at a noob level? Thanks for reading!
