  1. I just thought I'd let everyone know... PartySwap 1.3.1 is RELEASED!!!

  2. Look who's back!!! That's right! And I bring with me an updated PartySwap! PartySwap 1.3.1 fixes a few bugs with the previous release, as well as ensures compatibility with the newest version of TSLRCM (1.8.5)! All you need to do is uninstall the previous version - though why you'd have it installed right now is beyond my understanding - and follow the instructions provided in the readme. Hint: the instructions for installation are still the same, pretty much. Sorry this update took so long, folks. I was having pretty nasty troubles with the final dialog file a while back, stepped away for what should have been a week, maybe two. It turned out to be way longer than I would have liked. So, I just decided to soldier through it tonight and get everything finished, since this was the only file left to update. All it took was two hours of work, if that. It's amazing what stepping away and coming back fresh will do for ya! You all can head over to the download page right now and pick it up! Also, for now, I decided not to remove the sith_att.dlg from the mod, giving it one more chance to be right before I off it.
  3. Bandicam is awesome. I use it when I'm playing a game that Geforce Experience doesn't recognize. For editing Quality videos, Sony Vegas is a minimum. You just can't get that export quality from anything less. I prefer to use Avid Media Composer, but that's just because I career myself on Avid's software products. Anyway, I still have all of HarIII's Video Tutorials on my system somewhere. I might just start by improving on them.

    Well, I know I've never tried to install the mod from the game folder itself. That might have something to do with it(?)

  7. Well, not much of an update. I have almost all the files set and ready to go. Just one more dialog that's bugging me because I'm unsure how I actually handled editing it last time. Well, actually, there's that, and the possibility of taking a file out (the sith_att.dlg that so many people seem to have a problem with merging.) Thank goodness I've been updating the Patcher file as I go. Being confused and still trying to pound away at it isn't going to do me any good, so I'll be stepping away for a little while.
  8. Yep, the story and end destination of the game is already determined, the only part of it that's non-linear is pieces of the 'journey' there. In this journey you have: 1.) Branching Dialog Options - still move story forward at exactly the same pace regardless of what you choose, the only differing factor is companion influence 2.) "Light/Dark Side Choices" - so far as we've seen, only one choice made in Chapter X has any long-lasting effects, the rest might not be shown until next season 3.) Class Specific Dialog - What DP said was pretty true, but considering the companions, you will get special dialogue for companions that your character used to know. The better dialog happens during the main story missions, but some of the Alliance Recruiting missions can be bypassed if you are a certain class recruiting a returning companion. Downside to this argument is that they don't really flesh out the companions any more. You recruited them? Great. There won't be much point to most of them. I really hope they fix this error in KotET.

  10. That's understandable, because sadly there isn't one. Sometimes it'll work fine, sometimes it won't. I don't understand why.

      Yeah, I'd only do outside areas in Unity. I found out how to bring real-world geometry into Unity as a heightmap.

       

      I'd do buldings and whatnot in Max and then import into Unity as a .FBX or sometting somilar.

      Common misconception. It is the easiest engine to use, but making sonething that's actually good still requires substantial skill and experience. And optimizing large unity games is something few can do.

      Something I have found to be sadly true. And I only started using Unity because I was fed up with the limits of the KotOR engine. I also played around in Unreal, but it's not as easy.

  14. Well, progress has been excruciatingly slow regarding this mod. Only the other day did I actually realize that the 'Files Changed' list was updated - or remade, whatever - and I've been trying to familiarize myself with what still needs to be done, besides changing the Patcher file up. And downloading RCM 1.8.5. I can now say I have a plan, but no promises on when I'll be able to work on it or when it's released.

I don't know if anyone else is having these problems with just DeadlyStream, where the page takes forever to load because it wants to create a ton of ad hyperlinks, and then a single click anywhere will cause it to reload the same way in a new tab. I'm only having those problems here on DS. It makes it hard to browse the forums and upload/download files.

      It's not just Chrome. I tried using Edge also and the same thing happened. It also started happening to other websites. If those programs actually work for free, I'll give them a try.

      Well, now DeadlyStream is just a white space with text. It looks way too weird. I wonder which extension is causing it.

  16. If you're not subscribed, you can't play the new KotFE storyline, there's a weekly limit on group content, and you don't get free cartel coins every month. Other than that, everything else is available, except you might also have less available server slots. And I pretty much solely play on Shadowlands.
  17. SO, I've been unable to access my computer and, as such, all my files for the last few days. I (hopefully) have fixed the issues, but I'm still a litle burnt out from these PC problems. I'll update PartySwap when I can. Patience, folks.

  18. So, upgraded to Windows 10, and performance for SWTOR ingame increased dramatically.

      Informative: It's the Win 10 memory management. It's exceptional. Same happened for me when I upped to 10.

      @VP Nope, I'm on Shadowlands. @HK That and DirectX12, I believe.

      I also haven't run into any issues yet with the mod tools or 3DS MAX.

  20. Most of the problems you just gave are examples of EE overwriting alot of what PartySwap does, thus why they are incompatible. Don't fret, I'll start working on 1.3.1, as soon as I see a list of files modified added to the sticky in General Modding, and after that, I'll hope to finally get a compatability install option for EE integrated.

  22. Well, it runs that script, but not the appropriate case in the main function for starting another cutscene. I'm assuming this means that the Ebon Hawk would get reset after the cutscene plays no matter what, then resuming normal gameplay.
