  1. View File [K1] Temple Main Floor - Missing Lamps Fix [K1] Temple Main Floor - Missing Lamps Fix Lights are always nice in a dark places. Though it'd be nicer to know where it came from... What Happened? Inside the Temple Main Floor, there are rooms with source of lights that comes from nowhere. I was terrified... thought at first they're missing the GIT reference for the placeables, appears they're not, as they're not placeables. With second thought, perhaps they're missing their render flag? Again, no lamp meshes with the room model as pointed by DarthParametric. Apparently, they are missing their lamps which caused by missing references for the objects. In essence, the lamp is not part of the room model nor a placeable, instead a reference model called by the room's. What Does This Mod Do? This mod adds the missing reference for the lamps to four of the rooms inside the Temple Main Floor module. Optionally, it can also readjust the facing point of two Rune Covered Pillars inside one of the room, which I think could improve the aesthetics and immersion that's missing from the original setup. Here's a before-and-after screenshots of what this mod mainly does - And the optional that readjust the pillars' facing point - What Can You Do? There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and using this mod. What You Should Do? For best experience with the game itself, I suggest you to have KOTOR 1 Community Patch installed. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: run the installer and choose INSTALL option, then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! Uninstallation: remove these files from the Override folder - m44aa_04a.mdl m44aa_04a.mdx m44aa_05a.mdl m44aa_05a.mdx m44aa_15a.mdl m44aa_15a.mdx m44aa_17a.mdl m44aa_17a.mdx Compatibility: will not be compatible with mods that edits and/or replace the relevant models, also mods that possibly changes the module layouts/LYT The mod can be installed anytime - anywhere as the game's progress, and will have direct effect instantly It is play-tested with the latest version of KotOR 1 Restoration/K1R and is compatible with it. At the other hand, it was only by far tested with K1:Community Patch/K1CP v1.7, though assets-wise, there's nothing to be conflicted with the 1.8 version Redistribution: you can redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites, just don't claim it as your own. Though I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions. Be advised then, most likely I will not provide ones if I don't know where it re-hosted. If you are to re-use an assets to a project you will be releasing, you don't have to ask for permission - but your generous intention is very much welcome. Inside this mod are resources which can be repurposed for your likings in one condition; please include the unmodified-original sources along with the release of the project. I'd love to know what others are up too, particularly if my work are included. 2. Greetings, and Happy Holidays, fellow Jedi! I have a question which - There is a custom module [B] which is copy-paste from vanilla [A], and the only difference is the skyboxes texture it uses [and that I assume no alternatives other than to make a custom module it based on]. I wanted the PC to warp to B from [C] -which is a custom module also- but upon arriving, the NPC placement is different from A and looks like it's having different state of boolean too. Can anyone help me with guessing what could be wrong or missing to make it work as expected? The procedure of warping should be something like this: A --> C --> B Much thanks for considering this.
  3. View File [K1] Legends - Elder Droid's Unique VO This mod replace the default voice-over used by the Elder Droids with the Legends rendition. # Background # It was one fine evening when I take a walk inside the Elder's Settlement. I wonder how them droids sounds like, and then... why do they sounded like T3? So I wanted to experience something else, then I remember back in the Ancient Ruins of Dantooine there was a similar droid there that has something different with it. Apparently it was speaking Rakatan's language that the PC did not recognized. I decided that I had to incorporate that with the droid then, hence the making of this mod. # About this Mod # This mod replace the default voice-over used by the Elder Droids with the Legends rendition. The sound was made using an inverted Rakatan's voice-over with added droid-like filters on top of it. By concept it gave an idea that the droids were speaking an epitome of language that the PC did not understand [in Bastila's voice], resulting in addition of changing the spoken line of the droids. It also changes the bubble-bark conversation to a cinematic one. For a distinctive look at what the mod does, here is the preview - # Final Remarks # There's always room for improvements; critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks for the next update are very much appreciated. PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and playing this mod. Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do! Installation: run the installer and choose INSTALL option, then hit the [Install Mod ->] button! Uninstallation: Choose the UNINSTALL option in the installation menu Additionally you may want to remove eb_elderdrd_ANGM.wav from the streamwaves folder Compatibility: For maximum compatibility, install this mod at the latter stage of your mod's build Will not be compatible with any mods that hard-overwrite the Elder Settlement/unk_m42aa module Pay attention to the patcher's warning messages upon installing the mod. If it tells you that it found an instance of k_hdroid1_dialog.dlg and unk42_elddroidXYZ.utc in the Override folder, then there might be a compatibility issue indeed For this mod to be fully effective you should at least load a saved game before entering the Elder Settlement [unk_m42aa] module The mod is play-tested with the latest version of KotOR 1 Restoration/K1R and is compatible with it. At the other hand, it was only by far tested with K1:Community Patch/K1CP v1.7, though assets-wise, there's nothing to be conflicted with the 1.8 version Redistribution: do not redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites. 4. Greetings, fellow Jedi! Hope y'all doing fine. In vanilla and/or modded state of the game there seems to be rendering issue with a texture that is rendered behind blending additive shader. As seen in the screenshot: Is there any way to get around this problem? I have tried with removing the additive and using the alpha channel as transparency instead but it looks ugly and then again, another problem as the hilt that was rendered behind is hidden accordingly with the dimension of the top layer's texture. By using the TPC format seems to didn't help much as any alpha-blending value between 0 to 1.0 failed to resolve the issue. I haven't tried with removing the shader/alpha from the hilt that is in the left-hand but- will it work? And even if it works, is there any other way around as a hilt without metal shade is 🤪. Many thanks for considering this!
  5. Greetings, fellow Jedi. May the Force be with you. In k_inc_utility there's a UserDefined events called HOSTILE_RETREAT which I was told it refers to UT_ReturnToBase that also belongs to the aforementioned script. I'm in an attempt on reconstructing one, that is part of k_punk_restrig and wanted to ask if this script seems legit or does the opposite - [Oops, the script has been removed as the wrong one was posted and the right one has been lost in eternity.] Details are commented on the script My concern is; the nwnnsscomp does compile the script, but to see if it's working or not is kind of hard to produce [and I haven't actually seeing it]. The relevant roaming Rakata which is unk42_rakbreed01 rarely moves towards the exit of trigger's geometry. So I'm down to a guessing game and that is not convincing. Many thanks for considering this. ____________________________________________ Update: oof, after countless of trial-and-errors and insightful thoughts from @DarthParametric on #mod_development at Discord, I finally able to come to a resolve. First of all, scrap the above script - my modification to UT_ReturnToBase was all garbage, and is nowhere near working, lol! The idea on having oExiting replacing the role of OBJECT_SELF was all wrong. In short, it should have fired by the creature's OUD itself. Therefore, in the end I'm using this with the k_punk_restrig - and having each creatures their own customized ScriptUserDefine to have something like this - By then, the script worked as intended. Eureka!

  8. Greetings, fellow Jedi! Hope you all doing fine. We know there's a thing like <FullName> in the K1's TLK, which makes a conversation/DLG checks the [custom] name of our main character and I wonder; is there a similar function which checks our PC's gender preference? Let's say, if I play as a male character and make a string in the TLK that reads - I am no longer <XYZ> now. it would shown as - I am no longer him now. in-game. Is it possible to do that in K1? Many thanks for considering this, and may the Force be with you.

Drop Those Lightsabers! A Minor Immersion Mod made by K.O.2 Mods (aka The Frozen One on deadlystreams) Version: 1.0 About this Mod: When you meet the first Sith and Jedi dueling on the Endar Spire, you see them fighting with lightsabers. But when you loot them after they've met with a terrible fate, there are no lightsabers to be found. Not a single one! This has always been a minor annoyance of mine on each playthrough I've started. With this mod, both the Dark Jedi and Jedi drop their red and blue lightsabers respectively. Just loot both of their belongings in order to get both sabers. You can't wield these weapons until you are supposed to later in the game, but you can still sell them for cold hard credits if you wish. How to use/activate/enable this Mod: Just copy n_sithappren001.utc and n_sithappren002.utc from the "Drop Those Lightsabers!" folder and paste both files into your Override folder. You must start a new game in order for this mod to work. To those that helped me with this Mod: Thanks to ebmar and Mellowtron11 for their extremely detailed walkthroughs on how to make this mod. I couldn't have done this without their help. Regarding the uploading of this Mod: Please don't upload this mod anywhere without my approval. If I give you the okay, all I ask is for you to give me credit for the mod(s) that I've made. 10. I'm attempting to bring my two colored double saber into KotOR 2, but I'm thinking something in my uti file made it crash on me. It's been a few months since I tried modding K1, but have never tried making a K2 mod before so I'm not sure what I'd need to change or remove. I have no modding tools on my PC at the moment since I cleaned my PC some time ago, so I'm unaware which ones I'd need, especially for TSL. Any assistance or advice would be appreciated greatly.
  11. Darth Malak just got kicked out of the main menu with this awesome new-release mod by @DarthParametric - Though what I used as seen in the screenshot is the custom stripped-off 4:3 version of it [the Version D - Visor Glow option]. Conclusively, I loved the way Revan shown in the main menu, as I personally feels it blends really well with the surroundings. Another dreams come true!

  13. Midst playthrough I decided to work on something for Loremaster Gjarshi, at least to make him somehow bit of distinctive compared to the other [Black] Rakatans inside the Black Rakatans Settlement. I might release it as one of the Legends installment. The One will also have his appearance altered. The main reason to have them wearing white clothing is no other than for variation. As black in Black Rakatan refers to their skin color, as the Loremaster himself told us - - Appears also in the screenshot is DeadMan's Quarterstaff Replacement Pack.

Edit 2: Updated the mod name from "Chaos Lightsaber" to "Two Colored Lightsaber - Double Bladed" in hopes that others will be able to find this mod easier, specifically because the mod is a bit niche in my honest opinion. The updated name isn't shown in the readme text file, but the mod is still the same. Edit: I should give credit where credit is due. So, thanks to rece_w for his tutorial on YouTube. Without it, I likely wouldn't have figured this out 100% on my own. He dropped a pretty significant hint in the video, and that's what got me even trying to make the mod myself in the first place. I will try to link the exact tutorial just below this text, but if it doesn't show up for whatever reason, the title of the video is: "Kotor 1 & 2: Custom Lightsaber Tutorial (PC/MAC)" Here's the video: https://youtu.be/EtxwmXHsIfQ README: Chaos Lightsaber Made by: K.O.2 Mods (aka The Frozen One on deadlystream) Version: 1.0 About this Mod: As of version 1.0, the item can only be spawned into your game. Open the console and type "giveitem g_w_dblsbr043" without quotes, then hit enter. This mod might be just a *little* bit Over-Powered for some folks, I don't know for sure though because I usually play with cheats enabled. =P This took me most of a day to figure everything out, with minimal/beginner experience modding KotOR. Trust me, if an idiot like me can do it you can definitely do it too. Extra Info: 10 years. 10, long, years I have waited for a mod just like this to appear. Back then it took me a long time to even find just one single image of a mod for KotOR that showed the double bladed lightsaber display both a red and blue color. Now, I've finished up one of my so called "Dream Mods", which are very specific mods that I wished I had years ago regardless if I or someone else made them or not. A decade of waiting for a days worth of work... worth it! How to use/activate/enable this Mod: Copy all files from the "Chaos Lightsaber Version 1.0" folder and paste them into your Override folder. Regarding the uploading of this Mod: Please don't upload this mod anywhere without my approval. If you would like to improve on it or add it to a mod collection, please contact me and I'll give you an answer as soon as possible. 15. View File [K1] Legends - Ajunta Pall's Blade This mod replace the default Ajunta Pall's Blade appearance with the "Legends" rendition. # Background # The blade of the fallen, Ajunta Pall's Blade - I have always thought about something that is dark-enigmatic about the blade after hearing those words, so this project was started to accommodate the idea. # About this Mod # This mod replace the default Ajunta Pall's Blade appearance with the "Legends" rendition. The new blade is using the amazing IRobert's [K1] Vibroweapons replacement pack retexture base texture and model, which having that science-fantasy feeling to its design and concept. I edited them later particularly on coloring and scheming to match my interpretation of the blade. IRobert gave permission for everyone to freely use, change or modify the mod with *redistribution* policies applies. * With v1.0.2 included the model fix kindly provided by the infamous Dark Lord of the Sith, DarthParametric. It's a fix for holes in the meshes of the hilt which causes artefacts with the shadow casting. The new blade trying to fits the concept of the true Ajunta Pall's blade, which described as - Those features can be seen on the blade now. # Final Remarks # I suggest you to install VarsityPuppet's Spectral Ajunta Pall Canonical Appearance first and then install this mod after. 19. [Updated: October 14, 2018] # 00. Disclaimer # As the current development is reaching above 30% marks and somehow it looks like it needed its own development thread observed by its potential; I have the confidence to provide this "Legends" series addition a "Work in Progress" thread. # 01. Background # "I'll add your head to those of the other Jedi I have killed, and take yet another lightsaber for my own." Dang. Another blabber-mouthed dudes here aside of Selven previously; said me to myself while facing this cruel-and-evil Mandalorian straight from the now crumbled Taris. And I'm not disappointed; actually he's tough as hell and I even had to load my saved-game for about 5 to 6 times before finally beat him. He fights hard, but as a Mandalorian Rally Master who had fought in the Mandalorian Wars, he looks too basic which convinced me that this metal-head needs a unique-menacing appearance that distinguish him from the rest of the packs. So, hence the mod's development. Vanilla Sherruk's appearance preview: Image is a courtesy of Wookieepedia. # 02. Planning # Change his overall appearance; his head and armor including the melee weapons that he was using. But I'm not going to overdo his looks it as I would still reserves his original colour scheme [dominant-red]. Alters his VOs effect so he would sound different compared to other Mandalorians, as he will using a custom-mask according to the plan. New inventories meaning new challenge. I'm not going to overdid it too because in vanilla he's already OP; maybe kind of tweak his feats and his equipment would be sufficient. Custom weapons means custom names. Haven't actually decided what they'd be and what they are called. # 03. Work in Progress # [Updated: October 14, 2018] [Outdated] Already have the latest concept of his appearance and just to start building from there: I am using SpaceAlex's "Unfinished K1 Enhancement Pack - PC Head Reskins" for the base texture of his head. Also featured is xander2077's "Vanilla Masks Overhaul - Breath Mask" which in-fact I haven't got the permission to have it released along with the planned release. The backup-plan is to have him wearing the vanilla Breath Mask just in case I did not have the permission for it. [Outdated] The mask is removed now. The reason is; I have encountered the same problem similar to the Helmless-Starkiller attempt, which bug makes the mask removed from NPC's head occasionally- and I don't have an actual cure on that. I thought the bug was only happened exclusively to the UC Cantina, but it seems it could happen anywhere. I decided to take the less-difficult path with removing the mask then. As a change, Sherruk will have some implants on both side of his neck, which backstory is; the extended use of Nerve Enhancement Packages defaultly-equipped on him somehow affecting his larynx, which makes his voice sounds distorted. Here's a quick preview of how he'd appear in-game more or less with the recent update: [Update] As Salk suggested, the color of the beard and brows are more similar to that greyish part of the hair now: His personalized melee weapons has been decided; they are using ndix UR's "Traditional Mandalorian Blades" amazing resource as the base [props to Deltm for the assist which directs me to the said mod; for without it, this content wouldn't be a possibility then]. A backstory will be added to the blades in conjunction to their new appearance. Little fun fact, it will have an Alignment Limitation implemented. Here's a quick preview of the blades: As Salk suggested too, his armor also had some touches which makes it looks weary [and tells a lot about him]. [Outdated] A quick preview of the Voice Overs Replacement: [Update] Latest preview of the Voice Overs Replacement: I am comfortable with the latest concept, and is confident with it. It could be near the final stage of the development but not closing the possibility of further changes. # 04. Next Steps # [Updated: October 07, 2018] Adding description to weapon's description tab. # 05. Future Plans # [To be decided] 😁 # 06. Final Remarks # Critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and any feedbacks are very much appreciated. Thank you, for taking your time here.
