Sith Holocron

The DS Carth ending that you refer to - that's cut content. It's not normally accessible to the game unless you mod it in. If anyone is wondering what @ShepardCommander is referring to, it's likely this stuff... Note Carth's likely fate with that cut content.

View File [K1] Lana Beniko - PC Replacement Soundset [K1] Lana Beniko - PC Replacement Soundset AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 07 JAN 2019 GAMES: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1. [This mod will not work in Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2. See Description for more details.] Description: -------------------- Now your PC character in KotOR1 can sound like Lana Beniko from SWTOR! I've filled out as many of the options that I showed in the female PC voice lines document that I could. This also enables you - the player - to go through the lines and decide which is the best one to use. Options, people! Who doesn't like options? BTW, there isn’t a ported head mod for this voice to go with yet. If you wish to join the thread to offer your interest in such a thing, go to this thread. Hopefully, I've found suitable lines for the PC various scenarios. You'll have to let me know in the review section below. (Details are better than just leaving stars, you see.) Feel free to link videos of the lines in use in your review. I would've done it myself but my computer has not been brought to repair shop yet. This mod is only for Knights of the Old Republic 1. Knights of the Old Republic 2 - although it has the voice files for the male and female PC - that game doesn't have them activated, rendering the Exile mute. In order to use this mod in Knights of the Old Republic 2, you must install JC's Player Soundset Restoration for K2 in KotOR2 before this mod. That being said: As this mod is strictly designed for KotOR1 and not for KotOR2, any sounds that do not end of playing what you expected should not be reported to me. Installation: -------------------------- You'll not be dropping these into your Override like my usual mods. This time you have new steps to follow. 1) Move the original KotOR1 files that share the file names in this mod to a place you can find them. (I recommend a folder on your desktop but you do you!) Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder. Do not delete or move the files that don't share the filenames included in my mod. 2) Extract the files from the 7z folder. Grab the new files from that extracted folder and put them in Streamsounds folder. Note: If you're using the mod on Steam this quote may prove helpful. Uninstall: ---------------- Remove my files from the Streamsounds folder. Put the original files that you saved elsewhere back in the Streamsounds folder. Legal Disclaimer: ------------------------------------- All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc. I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration unless notified in writing of permission granted by me. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested and approved by me in writing before your use. Special Thanks: ---------------------------------- @HK-47 - For suggestions on other characters to use to help fill in the blanks I was having. The suggestion proved invaluable. @ebmar and @thor110 – For their unbridled enthusiasm Submitter Sith Holocron Submitted 01/08/2019 Category Mods K1R Compatible Yes

Update: I've found more lines to put in the package. The original post has been updated to state what sort of lines I need now. Update 2: It's released now. Alternate line suggestions are welcomed on that download thread. Could a moderator lock this thread please?

This thread is for a sound set - not the heads.

@HK-47 If you find any lines that would work with, please send them along with a note of what you think might work for what I need. Thanks for your offer of assistance! I assume that you're talking about Katha Niar from Makeb - who is sometimes listed as "Kiar Onila" in the dialogue files. According to IMDB, Lydia Leonard also portrayed the following other characters. Ladra / Lord Zavrasha / Acolyte Nataya / Agent Nianla / Anora / Anyarah / Chane / Cultist One / Desora / Ibellia Ran / Imperial Agent Trainer / Imperial Soldier / Intelligence Officer Kytoma / Ismar Brengle / Kelara Sakoal / Kilit Three / Lieutenant Keighlah / Lieutenant Synnoran / Lord Trok / Lunatta / Maiya Vix / Medic / Minder Fourteen / Rora Seake / Samara Mindak / Sera Fray / Sergeant Lodani / Ship's Computer / Sith / Vendor / Watcher Nine / Watcher Six (voice)

For aliens? Let me know what you need in a PM, please.

As per recommendations from @ebmar in a PM, I have amended the directions for use of the Beta files in my post above. Don't forget that I especially need line suggestions to replace the following original lines. One nasty surprise coming up." "Mine laid and ready" "This should make for a nice surprise" . . . So don't forget to start watching some Forged Alliances, Shadow of Revan, KOTFE, and KOTET videos on YouTube so you can help me. Link to the video and give me a time stamp of the line that you're suggesting!

The beta test version is attached below . . . I still need more lines though (see the original post.) Lana Beniko Soundset (Beta Test).7z Directions: You'll not be dropping these into your Override like my usual mods. This time you have a few alternate steps. 1) Move the original KotOR1 files that share the file names to a place you can find them. (I recommend a folder on your desktop but you do you!) Those files will be located in the "Streamsounds" folder. 2) Grab the new files from the 7z folder above and put them in Streamsounds folder. 3) When you're done with the beta, you can delete my files from the Streamsounds folder and put the original files back in there. Looking forward to wrapping this up soon as I have a much more interesting character to work on next.

Suggestions: Can you link to the mods in question? Can you show pictures of the issues you are having?

That's pretty close to what I had in mind! I hope this next note isn't too fussy but aren't the "r" and "Ke" in Czerka" a little close together? (I'm not even sure what the second line refers to so I'll just concentrate on the letter spacing in the first line.)

Seeing as the Czerka logo is used in multiple places, I have the following suggestion. Leave the text but have the background picture shift from desert (representing Tatooine) your already have, to a forest picture (representing Kashyyyk), Coruscant (as mentioned in dialogue in the Tatooine Czerka office), and Telos Citadel Station. That would cover the Czerka appearances/references in both original games. As Czerka is a galaxy wide corporation, it seems logical that they would promote that in their marketing materials such as your sign.

I recall that @Quanon had a number of lightsaber hilts that he was working on. I don't think I have a copy of the materials that he posted a link to in his thread on LucasForums called "The Big Sellout" but there might be a few of his works in there. When I get home, I can drop a link to his Photobucket page which has pictures of a number of his WIPs that were in that package. If anyone can confirm that any of Quanon's hilts were ever released - the ones not in the pack below, that is - please drop a note below? Here are a few hilts you may have missed. (Some of these maybe for KotOR1 rather than TSL.)

I wonder if in the future folks should list what gear (and dye packs) their characters are wearing/using, so if folks want the same look, they know what to try to pick up. Update: Once my new graphics card arrives on island and is installed, I'll be able to update my pictures and provide the relevant information on my character's outfits and weapons. Update 2: As of 11JAN19, the original post has been updated.

Would anyone be game to beta-test it in KotOR1? I'd need to know the following: 1) Which lines are you hearing in the game? You should note exactly which lines you've heard. (Quote the lines.) This is to determine which of the lines never play in the game. This not only affects this sound set but possible future ones that may be released down the road. 2) Note if any of the lines aren't firing at all. 3) Note if you have alternate suggestions for lines that currently in the sound set. If I get enough folks to sign up, I'll post an embedded link. Finally, I haven't put anything in "Arming the Mines" lines yet - it's still in beta, after all - so if you hear nothing there, that's normal.

First two posts updated.

I wonder if there's a way to extract the exact colors they use from SWTOR. The glow effect would be added to the blade differently but . . . it's a thought.

Regarding this part of the request . . . To have a gauge to work from, here are the lines as currently in the game for a female KotOR1 player character. "Add one to the dead pile." "OK, it's disabled" "Mine disabled" "One nasty surprise coming up." "Mine laid and ready" "This should make for a nice surprise" There are no lines for a fail state in disarming a mine. You either disable the mine and say something or the mine explodes. To see what the PC originally said in the game - so you can find suitable replacements - please consult this Word document.

My next project is to make a K1 soundset for Lana Beniko. Yes, I know no one has extracted either of her two heads yet for use in K1 (or TSL) but it's only a matter of time, I suppose. I may as well be prepared. I've actually done a majority of her lines. However, you folks out there could help me in this endeavor. If Lana Beniko has even mentioned anything about the subjects listed below, please post a link to a YouTube video where she has said it, with a time stamp. By finding a relevant video, it cuts down my time extracting and converting unnecessary files. Keep in mind that it has to been said as if she's talking about herself, and not Lana talking to the player character. These subjects are listed from top priority to lowest priority. Regarding Mines (need 1 line for disarming them) Lana is poisoned (only need one good line but will accept more if you find them!) Using Stealth (need one good line but will accept more if you find them!) You find me a usable line, you're in the credits! PS: If you can't recall what she looked like, this should remind you. "Before" indicates Forged Alliances, Shadow of Revan, and Ziost sections. "After" is KOTFE and beyond. (Please don't quote lines from the Ossus storyline though. I don't have access to those lines yet.) By the way: Like in my other soundset replacement pack , I will not be replacing the injury sounds as one scream sounds very much like another. Adding amusing in-game comparison shot taken today (01MAY2021)

Seeing as I looked up the SWTOR companion list for you, I'll ask you to consider that.

Here.
