  1. Now THIS has earned a perma-install to my K1 Override. Great job, Kex!

    WTF Steam?

Ohhh, that hurt to process... Just, actually what the hell? This reminds me of the time when I recommended the KOTOR series to a friend, and he told me "No, it looks like crap. It looks like runescape." Yeah... nah.... nah, man.
  3. On a scale of 1 - 10 (for somebody who has no idea with the subject) how easy is it to spawn placeables and such in a module? I'm wanting to try spawning a footlocker somewhere... whenever I get to that.

Just make sure to never EVER place .git's in override aside from testing purposes.

I'll keep those in mind. Could I spawn a footlocker via scripting as soon as the Player enters the module? Or does that only work with .git editing?

You'd have to edit the OnEnter script for the module if you want to spawn it when the player enters the module. Since that will cause incompabilites with any other mod editing the same script (happens quite often with OnEnter scripts I think) I'd say that using the .git is the safer bet, especially since TSLPatcher can edit gits inside .mod files for even better compability options.

  4. Gonna see if I can upload some of the stuff I've done for TSL to the Steam Workshop. Hopefully it isn't too confusing to do.

  5. Was gifted the Steam version of K1 for my Birthday, and Flawless Widescreen works for it (it wouldn't work with my Retail version). Now I can play both KOTOR games in Widescreen!

  6. Allright, I suppose it's time for some (slight) progress. Made a somewhat custom Jedi Robe for the Exile. Don't worry, there's a Dark Jedi Variant for you Dark Siders. Also, finally worked on the Icons for the current robes (I just used the renders I've shown before for them). Currently, I have in mind where I want to place these robes in-game, but I currently lack the skills to do so, but I'll ask around for some help and see what'll happen.
  7. Oh wow, that looks really good. Even though it's a subtle change, it still makes a very big impact I find. Keep up the good work!
  8. I've gotta say, that's pretty amazing what you've done DP. And I agree with the use of 2K textures over 4K.
  9. Well this would be an interesting idea, and I'd be down for it. Though, I'm waiting for EA to peddle Day One DLC for it, like "Pre-order for Revan's Robes DLC" or some crap like that.
  10. Yesterday we had to take my dog to the vet to be put down. We got her in 2007, and she was about 6 or 8 at that time, so yeah. She was preeeetty old. As much as I am sad she is gone, I'm glad we gave her a good life, than her first owners who had abused her.

  11. So I bought TSL on STeam, installed it and now it keeps crashing upon start-up. I'm not sure what causes this, as I have never run into this problem before with the Retail version. Any ideas?

Ok, so after opting in for the "legacy-pc" build of the game, it runs fine. Sooo, in other words, I can't use the recent update which has a feature I've been wanting for a long time: Controller Support. Huzzah. Oh well, at least I'm looking into saving up for a new GPU.

  12. This is a very welcome change. Thanks, VP.
  13. I'm gonna be a bit busy for August, because yay for procrastination. I'll still work on my current WIP from time to time as well.

  14. Hah, I did the same thing when I was younger and playing K1 for the first time. At first I thought I could take it on using Melee, which didn't work out so well, then, like you, I just tossed a bunch of Grenades at it till it died.
  15. Sooo, I'm trying something out.... I'm trying to apply the Jal Shey Robe's Metal Skirt onto this robe model, but I'm unsure if it's possible without it looking a little wonky. Here's my... 2nd attempt at it? Better than the last one. Still, I find the stretching on the texture to be a bit annoying. This ain't gonna be easy. EDIT: Okay, so I tried doing this and... I'm not sure. I'm not too happy with it, and find it needs some work. I think I might just go about Replacing the K (Flight suit thing) models for this mod.
  16. Yeah, the colors are matching for the legs and crotch. I have the `Pants` layer selecting both at the same time. Is that bad?
  17. Ok, here's a quick update with the Grey/Gray Jedi Armor. I tried to sort of blend it between a Light and Dark Jedi.
  18. I'm curious as to how the new Controller support fro Kotor 2 on steam works. Think somebody with Steam TSL could make a brief video showing it off in action?

  19. Welp, I'm DEFINITLY picking up TSL on Steam now.

  20. Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been a bit busy with things. I haven't done much since the last post, and I've also been trying to figure out the best way to implement the robes. I was thinking in terms of obtaining them, having the Jedi Robes be found in a footlocker somewhere on Dantooine, and the Sith/Dark Jedi Robes be found on Korriban, respectively. Now, the part that runs into a bit of a snag, is which models do I replace for the Skirtless and Normal models? Also Stats-wise, I'd consider making these robes have a Defense Rating of anywhere between 4-10. Obviously Padawan Robes being the lowest tier, and Master Robes being the highest tier.
  21. Looks fantastic! I have a question though, why do we have to use XnView again?
  22. Nice work. Definitly using this forever.
  23. Ooh, nice. I'm liking these a lot better than the current textures. They look really good, Kain.
