  3. Harbinger's Arrival Performance Enhancement for TSLRCM

    Full Description:
The mysterious arrival of the Republic hammerhead warship is one of the most ambitious and engaging cutscenes in TSL. Unfortunately, ambitious cutscenes can be a harbinger for more than just a man with severe psoriasis -- players may experience issues ranging from cutscenes stuttering and looping, loading screens before and after loading a new module mid-cutscene, breaking animations, to game windows minimizing and skipping the cutscene entirely, permanent black screen, and even game crashes. Thus this mod's mission was twofold: 1) Provide a range of general improvements and fixes that everyone will benefit from regardless of cutscene performance, as well as 2) Create a more stable version of the cutscene that generally performs well on any device. I am happy to report that results have been exciting:

    1) General improvements
         - Atton now always faces the correct direction when speaking to you
         - Kreia actually shows up meditating in the morgue when you hear her speak, rather than standing right behind Atton
         - Kreia no longer visibly stands behind Atton in certain earlier shots of him speaking
         - The Peragus mining facility asteroid is no longer right outside the Harbinger window before it actually enters the asteroid field

    2) Performance improvements
All in-game portions of the cutscene are now rendered in the same module -- your game will no longer be trying to load an entirely new module twice over, all while trying to play pre-rendered cutscenes. This means that your game's mid-cutscene workload has been drastically reduced, and so issues known to occur specifically with the Harbinger Arrival cutscene are much less frequent. I have also scripted in "guardrails" for many minor glitches that can occur mid-cutscene.
Note that this is not a 100% guarantee players who were having issues before never will again; TSL is nearly old enough to be legally considered an adult in the US, and its pre-rendered scenes are just not optimized for many modern machines. However, this mod was tested on a non-gaming laptop now a few years old, with the game running from an external hard disk drive, on a modern operating system, in full-screen mode, with several different visual mods installed. This meant that attempting to run the original Harbinger cutscene 10 times translated to the cutscene failing to play without major issue 10 times. After switching to the new version, any types of issues, major or minor, were encountered less than 1 out of 10 times. Hopefully, even a potato from your local grocery store can now successfully play the Harbinger Arrival cutscene, so long as it can generally play most TSL cutscenes successfully.

    Harbinger Enhancement_compressed.mp4
For reference when it comes to performance, this footage was recorded on an old laptop, with the game running on a modern operating system from a hard disk drive, with multiple other programs running in the background, and the following mods installed that can be seen in the video:
    - Ultimate Peragus Models Repair 1.2 (responsible for restoring proper lighting to the Harbinger, showing the administration level proper behind Atton, and other model fixes)
    - Harbinger Bridge Repairs (responsible for fixing several geometry errors, two visible during cutscene)
    - KotOR 2 Remastered (AI Upscaled) Cutscenes 1.0.0 by Naelavok (responsible for the upscaled pre-rendered scenes)
    - TSL Backdrop Improvements by Kexikus (responsible for the much-improved skybox seen from both the catwalk and the Harbinger bridge)
    - Improved Peragus Asteroid Fields 1.2 by Vasilii Zaytsev (responsible for the static 3d asteroids surrounding Peragus II)
    - Peragus Large Monitor Adjustment by Sith Holocron (responsible for that excellent HD computer monitor before Atton)
    - Kotor 2 Unlimited Worlds Texture Mod (responsible for the nicer-looking textures throughout the level, from the catwalk to the asteroids)
    - Ultimate Character Overhaul REDUX (responsible for the HD character textures)

    TLDR:
This mod 1) stabilizes the Harbinger cutscene so that your game is much less likely to experience issues 2) places Kreia in her usual meditation spot in the morgue for her dialogue, and 3) fixes a number of minor issues with the cutscene.

    Installation:
Download and run the installer, or else follow manual installation instructions. For Steam installations of TSLRCM, direct the installer to "Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\208580\485537937", and not the main game folder with the executable. 7z files can be extracted with Archive Utility on macOS, or with programs like PeaZip for windows and Linux. The installer is a .exe file, which can be run natively on Windows, or with programs like Wine for macOS and Linux.
For an existing game, use a save file before going to the asteroid exterior. Save files made any later will not be affected.

    Uninstallation:
Take 104per.mod out of the provided backup folder and place it in your modules folder at the location you installed to, and select replace when prompted. Take a_con_atton_end.ncs out of the provided backup folder and place it in your override folder at the location you installed to, and select replace when prompted. You can safely delete 104per.lyt and 104per.vis from your override folder. The files 104pera.mdl/.mdx/.wok come from Ultimate Peragus Models Repair, you can keep or delete these at your discretion.

Additional Tips For Improving Game Performance:
If you are having trouble running pre-rendered scenes in general, you can try the following:
-- Go into your graphics settings, and under advanced options, disable frame buffering. If that does not work, try lowering or disabling all options. If the pre-rendered cutscene plays afterwards, you can up your graphics settings afterwards for normal gameplay.
-- Try running the game in windowed mode, rather than fullscreen. Close your game and open "swkotor2.ini", found in the same folder as your main game executable (for a Steam game, that's "Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II"). Under both "Display Options" and "Graphics Options", change "FullScreen=1" to "FullScreen=0". Restart your game.
-- Uninstall/disable any non-essential mods that may relate to the cutscene or the area it takes place in.
Peragus in particular also suffers from memory overflow if you play the game too long in one sitting. This can cause dialogue to start skipping, or for issues with game cutscenes. This can usually be avoided by:
-- Quitting and restarting the game once in a while: doing it once before heading out to the asteroid surface, and again right before attempting to leave the Harbinger engine deck (the third and final level with the spooky lights) is usually enough to avoid problems.
-- Avoiding skipping dialogue yourself, which can sometimes lead to memory overflow. If you do skip a lot of dialogue, quitting and restarting the game will fix the issue.

    Compatibility:
Users should expect full compatibility with any other mods, so long as they make no modifications to the scripting or dialogue of the Harbinger's Arrival cutscene. For instance, if you are installing N-DReW's Mini Mod Collection for TSL, be sure not to add the included 104atton.dlg or 104kreia.dlg to your override, or remove it if you already have, as that would create a major incompatibility. This mod is for players using TSLRCM version 1.8.3 or higher.
You may view this mod's changes.ini inside the "tslpatchdata" folder for a complete list of every altered module element.
Feel free to check out "KotOR 2 Remastered (AI Upscaled) Cutscenes" by Naelavok for higher-resolution cutscenes, if you have not already.
There are some other great mods out there that improve the visual quality of the cutscene. "Peragus Large Monitor Adjustment" by Sith Holocron, "KotOR 2 Unlimited World Texture Mod" by facemeltingsolo, "TSL Backdrop Improvements by Kexikus", and "Ultimate Peragus Models Repair" by yours truly are all compatible with this mod. "A Darker Peragus REDUX" by Malkior and "... A Darker Peragus" by Canderis are also compatible.

  5. TSL - Playable Gadon Thek

    Playable Gadon Thek for TSL=======================
    Author: Qui-Don Jorn
    12-07-2011

    Description:
    ==================================
This mod allows you to play as Gadon Thek from the original KotOR game, complete with darkside transitions. I'd been wanting to do this head for a long while now, and finally had the time to do it. I wanted to make it really good, and this is about the 3rd attempt at it, cause my DS transitions weren't getting it, but I am happy with how he did turn out. I tried to make the veins stand out without being ridiculous, and the eyes go from yellow to red, and then I desaturated the skin to pale him up and darkened under the eyes to make it look like the dark side has really taken hold of him, a little more like the game does.

    Run .exe file to install.

  7. Stylized Portraits TSL Created by Tinman888

Stylized Portraits TSL Created by Tinman888
    by Sdub & Tinman888
    Version:
    1.3
    Description:
After seeing the release by @DylanRPG and the Portraits done by Tinman888 who is a magnificent artist.
I reached out to Tinman888 and discovered that he had finished some TSL Portraits!
After gaining permission by Tinmann888 to create a pack made from his TSL portraits I got to work.
This pack included all main party members with dark side transitions, generic female portrait, and generic bearded/Non Bearded male portrait

One thing to note, the Widescreen UI can be a bit wonky, especially for the Aspyr version on steam. So I highly suggest using a widescreen mod otherwise the Portraits can look stretched.
I use a combination of these two.

Easy install, open the folders of the portraits you'd like to use and Just drop them into the override folder.
To uninstall remove the implemented files.
Big thanks to the KOTOR  Discord & Deadlystream
Tinman888 for the wonderful art, you can see more of his art here! https://brandon_chen.artstation.com/ and on Instagram at @bchen.art

This mod is exactly the same as my K1 Player Character Height Adjustment mod (Link to that mod: http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/397-k1-player-character-height-adjustment/ ), except for TSL. Huge thanks to Kainzorus Prime for letting me know that the Large, Medium, and Small body types were still in the TSL files. Turns out they were just mish-mashed around in the models section on Kotor Tool.

  9. Slim Saber Blades

This is a fairly simple mod. I prefer my lightsabers have a thinner blade, but other mods seem to make the sabers thicker. This takes and recolors the thinnest vanilla blade I could find into all the lightsaber colors. I've made adjustments to the colors too. Take a look at the screenshots and see if there are any you like!

My thoughts on each color change:

Red: Given a slightly less red hue to better fit Visas's clothing.

Blue: An accident, but I like it! Reminds be of that awesome high powered blue laser.

Purple: The reason I began this, I like my blades more of a ture purple, not pink.

Green: Green with a slight blue halo, also an accident, but its different.

Silver: Really hard to change only slightly...I lowered the halo on it...I think. I actually made it from the original purple texture..

    Cyan: Denser look...More Icy?

    Yellow: More Yellow!

    Orange: More Yellow!

Viridian: Was my favorite when I started, now my least favorite...It's better, in my opinion, but more minty.

INSTALLATION: It's just textures. Drag and drop in the Override.

If you have a matching TXI file with the TGA in your override, odds are you have a flickering saber mod, and there will likely be graphical issues.

  10. Kamaitachis Epic Armours

Pictures can be found here : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=494176455

After being repeatedly asked to upload this to a non-steam download site I decided i'd stick it up here, here's the original description from steam:

This mod adds a plethora of wearable armours that are already present in the game but unequipable.
Each of these individual items are purchasable from the Duros merchant - Dendis Dobo - on telos at the beginning of the game

    Armours:
    Ubese Bounty Hunter Armour
    Sith Assassin Armour
All three colours of Mandalorian armour (Increasing in strength with rank. blue is weakest, gold is strongest)
Darth Revan Armour (Currently lacking cape flow animations, will be fixed soon)
    Darth Nihilus Armour (fully animated)
    Sith Soldier Armour
    Sith Commando Armour

    ---------Item codes for cheaters-----------
    sithninja - sith assassin armour
ubeseninja - ubese bounty hunter armour
poweredmando - Golden, powered mando armour
kamaitachi1 - Semi powered mando armou, can use force powers with this
nopower - No power mando armour, weakest of the three
sitharmour - Generic Sith Soldier armour
    sithcommando - Sith Commando Armour
    darthrevan1 - Revans armour
    darklord1- Nihilus's armour

KNOWN BUGS :- can cause a weird glitch where there are no handmaidens on the polar base, saving outside after you've fought the assassin droids and temporarily removing the mod from your override folder until you've completed this mission seems to be the only real fix.

MUST INSTALL BEFORE FIRST VISIT TO TELOS. - this mod was made to be accessible from the beginning of the game

This mod ALTERS the default APPEARANCE.2da to allow certain models to be equipped by the player.

Revan Cape Animation Fix : http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/216-revans-flowing-robe-tsl/ <--- USEFUL if revan's clothes are not animated properly.

TSLRCM Compatibility : Debatable, use at own risk

  11. Party Time Sith - DS Player Main Menu Replacement for TSL

This mod changes the main menu variant featuring the Dark Side player (CurSithLord=4). The original version of the mod used the dancing Twi'lek Assassins from the Easter Egg menu. The revised version now adds two additional options featuring Dark Side versions of certain party members.

    Mira, Visas, and Brianna:

    Mira and Visas:

    Twi'lek Assassins:

As per my TSL Main Menu Model Fix for Widescreen mod, fixes/adjustments for widescreen aspect ratios have now been incorporated into this mod. I would advise installing that mod first to gain access to the improvements in the other menus. Additionally, I have adjusted one of the dancing animations used in the menu (by Mira and the light coloured Twi'lek) to fix an issue at the end of the animation loop where there was a pause for a few frames which caused some noticeable jankiness. I've also properly fixed the texture issue on one of the Twi'leks, so if you were using the older version of this mod you can safely delete N_TwiAssasin01H.tga from your Override folder.

    Instructions:
To install, simply choose your desired version and copy mainmenu05.mdl and mainmenu05.mdx to your Override folder. To uninstall, simply delete those two files from your Override folder. If you are using my widescreen menu fix mod, overwrite when prompted.

    Known Issues
Obviously it won't be compatible with any other mods that replace the mainmenu05 model files. Note that any texture mods that alter the Twin Suns Assassins will also affect this mod. I'm unsure whether the Brianna version will be suitable for 4:3 resolutions (or a non-widescreen patched version).

Thanks to TeamTwi'lek* for their secret tool project that made editing and compiling the menu models possible

  12. Exile's Atris-style Robes

    Original Review on Filefront:

Before we get into the review, we should all give a big hand to mjpb3 and Oldflash for making these robes possible.

Now you're wanting to know what I'm talking about, I'm sure. This mod gives a set of playable Atris-style robes for the female Exile. That's right! Those same robes Atris wears. Well, not the same. These robes, a Jedi and Sith version, are brown and black respectively. They also have some very nice stats, but there are quite a few of them so I won't list them here. Just take my word for it that they're handy stats to have.

You will receive these robes in normal gameplay when Kreia joins your party. Shem uses his usual wit to come up with a great way to have these puppies drop into your inventory as soon as she joins your party by placing them in Kreia's shield slots. Since this is an incompatible item for that slot, they simply "fall off" right into your inventory! Is that ingenius or what? So yes, you will receive both of these robes, relatively early on, without needing to use cheats.

"But I've already started a game!" you might say. That's where cheats or the KotOR savegame editor will come in handy. To use cheats, simply type "giveitem exilef1" for the Sith robes, or "giveitem exilef2" for the Jedi robes. Shem has also made this mod compatible with his own Prequel Style Robes mod. One last goodie is that there are two versions of this mod: one for black females and another for asian/caucasion females, so you won't have to worry about having caucasian hands if you play one of the black female characters!

This mod is a must have, as is the original by mjpb3, so if you're looking to spice up your TSL experience for your female character I strongly recommend it. No sense in letting Atris have those cool robes to herself, is there?

Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.

  13. Liskis Restoration

    ========================================================
A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC II: (THE SITH LORDS) MODIFICATION
    Liskis Restoration
    ========================================================

    Author: Hassat Hunter
PM: Contact me at the Deadly Stream Forums
    Name: Liskis Restoration

    Filename: Liskis Restoration 1.0.rar
    Date Released: 9 June 2016

    1. Description:
    ----------
Small little added content not included in TSLRCM 1.8.5. This restores Liskis, the one who build Goto's Yacht.

    What is restored/added:
    * Liskis dialogue was all in the dialog.tlk. I just ordened it into a proper .dlg file.
    * I've decided for myself which alien type Liskis would be since all left was text.
    * Placement: Figured near the torture room was most appropriate.

    2. Install:
    ----------
(It is highly recommended that you update your game to version 2.10 (the 1.0b update) before installing this mod. In order to be compatible with TSLRCM, TSLRCM must be installed first.)
NOTE: TSLRCM 1.8.5 IS REQUIRED FOR THIS MOD!

Extract the "Liskis Restoration" mod, taking care to insure that both the "TSLPatcher.exe" file and "tslpatchdata" folder are extracted to the same folder (these files can be extracted to any folder on your hard drive EXCEPT those within the SWKotOR2 folder hierarchy). Also note that simply copying the files within "tslpatchdata" to your "Override" folder will not properly install the mod.

Note: a new folder named "backup" will be created during insanitation within the folder the installer was run from. If you plan on uninstalling this mod this folder and the files therein must not be deleted as they are used during the uninstall process.

    3. Uninstall:
    ----------
The files listed below may have been modified during the installation of this mod:

    Within "Modules"
    351NAR.mod

    Within "LIPS"
    351NAR.mod

Backups of any file that was altered were made during insanitation and placed in a folder called "backup" within the folder the installer was run from.
    1) To uninstall the mod, open your "Override" folder, located here "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\SWKotOR2\Overide" by default, and delete ONLY the files listed above under the "Override" heading. It may be easiest to find these files by selecting “View” from the toolbar then “Arrange icons by” then “Modified”. This will sort the files by when they were last modified. The files installed by this mod should be grouped together; however, double check that anything you delete is indeed listed above.
    2) Next open the "backup" folder that was created during installation and replace the files listed above under each heading with the files contained within. If a file listed above is missing from the "backup" folder, don't worry, it was not present before the install and it does not have to be replaced.

    4. Bugs:

  14. Varsity/Venom Trandoshan PC Mod

It had come to my attention that this mod had disappeared from the annals of Kotorfiles/GameFront so per the request of one DarthCMoney, I have re uploaded this classic mod.

    Description:

-Darth Venom : Darth Venom's personally approved in-game likeness.
-Trandongo: A Star Wars rendition of the infamous "King Dodongo: Infernal Dinosaur" from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
-Venom Redeemed: A variation of the Darth Venom skin. As you might have guessed, he's returned to the light, and now dons icy blue eyes.
-Cross Dragon: I had the Black Dragon from Chrono Cross in mind when making this skin... funny that the final product looked nothing like it. Oh well, the name's stuck, I can't think of a better one.

Note: These are SEPARATE character skins and as such do not boast any light-dark transitions. You are stuck with your chosen appearance regardless of alignment. So just remember that.

This mod is likely to cause game crashes at character creation.
Dealing with this issue is simple.
When you choose your Jedi class make sure you CANNOT already see a trandoshan exile as your chosen class. Return to the main menu and start over until a normal human PC is visible as your preferred class. Choose your class and then switch portraits until you find your chosen trandoshan. When you do this the portrait will be visible, but the PC will be a "Headless Horseman". Don't worry, when you start the game you will not be a headless human. Additionally, if you choose your portrait and decide to use the "back" button the game is likely to crash. Just start over. It's a small price to pay to be able to choose a non human PC. As of now, this is an issue that cannot be fixed, so just play along.

    PREFACE:

    Words of the Puppet:

Well, here we are the second time around with two more great skins for you to enjoy. There were numerous reasons for an update, the most important being of course that the original upload contained a bad TSLPatcher. A second cleaner upload was posted along with a Kotor 1 version, but it failed miserably. So here we are with an official update: It's clean and there are more skins.

I'm not sure if it's Kotor 1 compatible. It crashed and burned on the xbox version of k1 but maybe you'll have more luck with the PC.

Words of LordVenom: Can't confirm PC compatibility for K1. I do not own K1.

Anyway all I've got to say is I was making a lightside Venom coincidentally at the time I recieved a PM from ol'boy Puppet about wanting to do a Trando 2.O with new skins. Sounded like a good idea to me so here you have it.

[unless you are me you probably dont care about this]: The lightside appearance I've created for Venom is a hypothetical created for fun only. I've decided that Venom retains his Sith visage and title even after converting to the lightside (canon to my roleplay story).

    ___________________________________________________________

    DESCRIPTION:

This mod now adds two Playable Trandoshans at the Character select screen. Unlike before, you are now forced to install all of them. If you've really got a problem with any of the skins and don't want to one of them, you'll have to delete them from the 2das yourself.

There are four skins in total.

-Darth Venom : Darth Venom's personally approved in-game likeness.

-Trandongo: A Star Wars rendition of the infamous "King Dodongo: Infernal Dinosaur" from the Legend of Zelda series.

-NEW! Venom Redeemed: A variation of the Darth Venom skin. As you might have guessed, he's returned to the light, and now dons icy blue eyes.

-NEW! Cross Dragon: I had the Black Dragon from Chrono Cross in mind when making this skin... funny that the final product looked nothing like it. Oh well, the name's stuck, I can't think of a better one.

Note: These are SEPARATE character skins and as such do not boast any light-dark transitions. You are stuck with your chosen appearance regardless of alignment. So just remember that.

Also, be sure to check the BUGS section for important information.

    PERMISSIONS:

LordVenom- The Darth Venom skin is for personal use only. Normally I'd allow usage of my skins for any purpose as long as credit is given. However, Darth Venom the Trandoshan Sith Lord is my favorite creation, and I've become quite attached to him. I hope you all enjoy the skin, but I prefer that he not be reproduced or integrated into any project that I do not personally have a hand in creating.

The Puppet- You may use this mod as you see fit. Display it in screenshots, make it compatible with your mod. However, give credit where it's due, but DO NOT release it with any of your mods without my permission. Thanks.

    THANKS:
    tk102 for making the excel 2da add-in
    Fred Tetra's KotorTool
Obsidian for making a game to love and hate
All of you modders out there who I've consistently studied and slowly learned from.

  15. TOR Ports: Pureblood Sith Male Player Head for TSL

This mod adds the head model of a Pureblood Sith from The Old Republic MMO as a selectable player head for male characters.
    A few notes:
While aligned as closely as possible, the neckline probably won't match perfectly. Expect some visible gaps on body models that don't hide the join. The TOR head models use separate textures for the face, eyes, and hair. In order to allow for DS transitions, these had to be merged together (and the UVs adjusted to match). The eyes are the big loser in this. They went from having their own dedicated 256x256 texture to being shrunk down to a corner where they could be squeezed in. An additional consequence of the texture merge is no normal maps, due to the hair requiring alpha masking. TOR heavily relies on tint mapping textures for variation - skin tone, hair colour, eye colour, etc. Unfortunately, while the tint colours are available in the material files, the specifics of their shaders are currently unknown to me, so the best I can do is experiment with various blend modes to approximate the look. It may require some further experimentation and kludging. Not even having specularity, much less the advanced (by comparison) graphical features of TOR, expect textures to look pretty flat by comparison to the originals. KOTOR has a maximum bone limit per mesh of 16. This creates a problem for TOR meshes, as adding the eyelids to the face bone array pushes that to 18. I had to drop 2 bones to make it work. I chose the two nose corner bones, as they seemed the least important. I don't know what effect this may have on various facial animations though. Dark Side transitions are included, but they are relatively mild. I'm not a big fan of the zombie look. A unique underwear model is included, but the join line between the body and head is very apparent. I gather TOR is doing something to blend the join seamlessly, but I’m not able to replicate it. Installation:
If you are using TSLRCM or the hybrid TSLRCM + M4-78 from the Steam Workshop, make sure to choose its Workshop folder as the installation location, not the main game folder.

  16. Prequel-style Robes

    Original Review on Filefront:

Fans of the prequels should be happy with this very large set of prequel-inspired robes - 28 in all. There are various color combinations to choose from, and Shem has also gone as far as to include customized robes for each trainable (or Jedi) member of your party. Even Bao-Dur has a special "Jedi robe" (armor that acts as a robe, since he can not wear them). The robes have modified stats and come in a pretty wide variety of colors, though the colors seem restricted to something a Jedi might actually consider wearing. Sorry, no Hawaiian robes!

Still asking yourself why you should download this mod? Each customized robe has some very good (but not unbalanced) stat bonuses and perks. They are-- Ha, you didn't think I was going to tell you, did you? Go play and find out for yourself! That's half the fun anyway .

Just as a note, this is mod is best played starting from a new game if you want the greatest effect as quickly as possible with as few complications as possible. This also contains a fix for older versions for a bug concerning Bao Dur's robe.

  18. Enhanced Soundsets

This mod, in time, will add various custom soundsets for the game TSL, for both player and monster.

    Feedback appreciated, as constructive criticism.

    Available:
    Darth Nihilus - pc/npc
    Darth Sion - pc/npc
Dark Side Mystic - pc only

Here consider a standard mod disclaimer: I don't own any of the content, I just use it with permission of the author, ask for permission if you want to use etc. but honestly, why should you? the patcher has solved 98% of the issues that required to pack mods together. and there are no real other soundset mods out there...

Honestly, I'd really appreaciate feedback from you. either PM me or post in the forum thread. I had 3 releases and 1 single review. It's disheartening, isn't it? makes one wonder what sort of community is one that only takes and is too lazy even to write an opinion.

If you want to ask me to do a SS, you may request, BUT ENSURE you can send me the sourcefiles, converted in WAV. propose, and I'll send you the list of required sounds.

  22. Dak's Big Skin Pack

Dak's Big Skin Pack v2 [TSL] - ReadMe

    Description:
This mod just skins a ton of NPC's. My goal here was to make some textures look a little more realistic and more appealing to look at. Some changes are drastic while others are subtle.

    Notes:
Mira's new head is OPTIONAL. Her clothing will be installed automatically via TSLPatcher but if you want the new head you must install it manually. The folder is included.
To find out all of the new skins, just look at the screenshots. They're all included.

There are 7 new armors for you to wear. The Mandalorian armors can be won in the battle circle. The Sith trooper armors can be found in loot of dead Sith troops you battle in the Dxun tomb. Unfortunately you'll have to cheat to get the Khoonda armors because I couldn't get them in-game right.
    Cheats are: a_medium_17 and a_medium_19

    Installation:
    Extract the files,
    Just Press Install,
Select your Kotor2 Directory which is located at:
    My Computer>C:>ProgramFiles>LucasArts>SWKotOR2

*If you want Mira's new head, open the folder "Optional Mira Head" and move all of the files inside into your override. Easy as that.

    Credits:
Thank you to FrantFire/GeorgNihilus for scripting the Mandalorian armors in-game.

    Permissions:
You may not use this mod in any of your mods or alter this publicly in any way without my consent. Contact me at Dak Drexl on LucasForums.

  23. TSLRCM XP Hssiss Glitch Bug Restored

    TSLRCM Hssiss Glitch Restored

    INSTALLATION:
Place a_jedi_jrnl_fin.ncs in your Star Wars - KotOR2 Override folder.

    UNINSTALLATION:
Delete a_jedi_jrnl_fin.ncs from your Star Wars - KotOR2 Override folder.

    DESCRIPTION:
The Hssiss glitch was a glitch found in "Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords." It was commonly used to obtain infinite experience, as you could use it to spawn groups of Hssiss endlessly and kill them, then rinse and repeat.

"The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod" restores massive amounts of gameplay. It also fixed many bugs and glitches from the original game, including the Hssiss glitch.

This mod restores the Hssiss glitch to the game if you use TSLRCM, as most seem to. You can use it to gain endless experience without having to use the cheat console or a third party character editing software, but rather a glitch that came with the original game.

Both the cheat console and Kotor Save Editor would be much faster/easier ways of getting "infinite" experience, but the Hssiss glitch maybe feels more fun & less cheap? I don't know... It is for me!

The mod simply restores the original script, I did nothing but extract it with Kotor Tool and put it in my Override, which worked. Therefore, I did no coding or original work of any kind, thus no .nss file is included. Also, no credit or special permission is required to use or repost this elsewhere as it contains nothing original.

    HOW TO USE THE GLITCH:
On Korriban, find the Shryak Caves just around the corner after you leave the academy. Go through the caves and at the end you will find the Secret Tomb. After the second vision (which involves landmines), follow the tunnel east to the fork and go right (you will be facing south on the map). Follow this tunnel to a room where you will find a Dead Jedi. Every time you activate the corpse, 2 Hssiss will spawn in the room.

    TIPS:
You can examine the corpse a bunch of times in a row to fill the room with Hssiss.
Area of effect powers like Force Storm and Death Field are most effective in dispatching hords of Hssiss.
Light side characters do not regenerate Force Points, so consider using Master Drain Force.
Once you exit the tomb, you will be unable to come back in and continue using the glitch.

  24. Concept Loading Screens

A very long time ago, a guy called Nur Ab Sal realised that the KotOR II loading screens were ugly, and decided to replace them with the concept art Obsidian drew up, instead.

He did so, but his mod disappeared when PCGameMods was destroyed, and so I decided to repeat the job myself, because I got bored of the normal loading screens. I couldn't get all the same concept art as Nur Ab Sal, and in a few places had to improvise - nevertheless, where his mod replaced around 28 of roughly 80 loading screens, this mod will replace around 40, and is therefore worthy of release.
