Ran a quick test, porting Revan's lightsaber over to KotOR from TOR. May look at putting a little mod together which makes this the lightsaber you get on Dantooine at the end of your training, rather than the generic one. Could always deposit the other crystals elsewhere too, for those who like some variety and don't want to stick with their class colour.· 0 replies

Would having a music collection system similar to Jedi Survivor be considered for ROR? Like by default you'd have the cantina music available to play, but completing a side quest or looting something would reward you with a new music track that can only be played in a cantina after its collected. -

Blender has built-in GLTF support, so the GLB would be your best bet. Note that the model was textured for a modern PBR rendering pipeline. KOTOR uses an extremely basic Blinn-Phong based renderer, so you'll need to convert the textures to work with that. Fortunately it's an extremely simplistic set of metals for the most part. Unfortunately, KOTOR doesn't support specular, but instead tries to fake it with cubemaps. Getting metal to look good is challenging. One other thing of note is that while KOTOR does support normal maps, its implementation is poor, so detail relying on normal maps won't show up as well. As to the use, you don't need to request permission. It's already licensed for use with attribution. That's the entire point of the license. -

Broadly, you would need to: Convert the model from one of its currently supported formats to the MDL/MDX format supported by the game. This can be done in a 3D modeling program by importing the model together with one of the existing game models and making some adjustments. Change the item's item type to something else (e.g. Long Sword) by modifying the BaseItem field in the item UTI file. Here is a list of common modding tools. It isn't complete, but it's a good start. Additionally, you would need Blender, 3ds Max, or Gmax for the first part. -

This mod was written to install with TSLPatcher, not HoloPatcher. I did not encounter such an error during testing and I am not seeing one now after checking again. -
I am aware of the first instance and I shall get around to fixing them soon. I am confident that this won't cause any real problems, you have installed 99% of the mod and these installation bugs will, unfortunately, ensure that two of the most minor, most mundane restorations aren't present in your game. This is still better than the game crashing though. The Sith Guard in the Upper City guarding the Lower City elevator was supposed to have a Mark IV Assault Droid with him, it only had one dialogue which goes "This droid is not programmed to speak with you" or something to that effect. This installation error means the droid will not spawn. In the Lower City Cantina, there are two generic male NPCs who I believe are duplicated to create four NPCs. RC-K1CP changes one of these men into a woman to restore the unused female dialogue for the generic Cantina NPC. Since this bug has taken place, this background NPC won't be changed into a woman. All I have to do to fix this problem is rename "utcanc" to "utc" and it should install just fine.
