@JoeNotCharles Look at the summary tab for that mod, should always have the links... There's a Patch required. EDIT: Ugh, nevermind, seems I did forget to put it in there. I'll update the toml's but in the meantime the link needed is https://mega.nz/#!gcxRTYTJ!ILbLFRyGEr4lGZYDOLN_Qg17fCm-TJw4Y1RDuy4WiWI Thanks for reporting this.

There's nothing for the Community Patch to fix. Don't change the resolution in-game. Leave it at its base setting and use the widescreen patch to edit the resolution.

@ConansHair Thanks for the suggestion! Good point about Affect Mind not being used, but since the power is relatively strong for it being given to Bastila at level 3, replacing Force Aura was just my attempt at balancing things a little. She can still get Force Aura and the rest of the tiers as she levels up so she's not really cut off, but yeah I recognize that this effectively reduces the number of vanilla powers you can give her by 1. I haven't played much through the story with the mod yet but I'll do that to get a sense of the balance and will keep your feedback in mind if I update things later.

How convenient that you commented here! This is the perfect opportunity to announce that I do plan on making a compatibility patch for your Crashed Ship mod, with this patch the Mandalorian NPCs in your mod will have some of the new appearances from this mod (and maybe a few HOB items will be placed on the Ship as loot). This might not come for a while but it definitely on the agenda! I actually didn't make the female Mandalorian models, it's from Inyri Forge's Female Mandalorians mod from all the way back in 2008. As I don't make models, I won't be able to make a realistic replacement for Inyri's old model... but if anyone else is interesting is making a realistic female Mandalorian model based on the comic Dark Hope linked I'm more than happy to integrate it into the mod.

@Leilukin I have developed an optional patch which should undo my own changes, this will allow players to install your Twi'lek NPC Diversity mod without any trouble with Bolook.

Nice! I might have some time soon, I'll see what I can do and DM you if I get anywhere. Even if I could get it working myself, getting it set up for other people to install is beyond me so that sounds great. Anyway, I'll see how it goes.

Now that is cursed, in a good way! When I first saw the mod's main image with the Xbox logo I thought someone had copied my Knights of the Old XBOX TSL mod. Much like everyone else, I was not expecting an Xbox TSLRCM Port in 2024.

That'd be a good idea going forward, using the K1EP as a legitimate mod in the 2020's is going to cause a world of pain when using modern mods.

I think I know what the problem might be. I installed a version of redrob41's Echani mod that was in SpaceAlex's unfinished K1 Enhancement Pack. It uses that man27_sithdip.utc file as well. Probably shouldn't use anything in there other than the skins for armors.

You have two conflicting statements. You say you are literally unable to download it, and then you talk about extracting something. So you literally are able to download it presumably? Once downloaded, you need to extract it somewhere (preferably not the game folder) and run the installer.

I have no idea why this is happening to your game. Are you using any other mods? You are supposed to find all the 4 Jedi Masters before going back to Dantooine and enter the Rebuilt Jedi Enclave. Kreia's dialogue about suggesting you to return to Dantooine is supposed to be triggered after you found all 4 Jedi Masters, when the value of global flag 000_Jedi_Found is 4. Can you use KotOR SaveGame Editor to check your current save, looking at Globals > Numerics and see what is the value of 000_Jedi_Found of your current save? I would suggest you go to Nar Shaddaa and complete the questline, because entering the Rebuilt Jedi Enclave without meeting all 4 Jedi Masters first, especially if you choose to spare the Jedi masters, could cause possibly game-breaking problems for the Rebuilt Jedi Enclave sequence.

I do not know what's causing your bug as the man in your screenshot is a generic head and not one of the heads from my mod. I'd say install Helena Shan Improvement one more time and load a save from before you enter the Cantina, that should overwrite the bugged generic appearance and restore her old appearance.

Seems like this is due to all of the sound strings being padded out to the same length with spaces. Must be some formatting thing from whatever editor Gimmick used. Seems like the only practical solution to fixing it would be to convert the TLK to XML and then in Notepad++ use RegEx to find and remove the spaces in the sound=" " bits. Edit: Thanks to @Kexikus, you can use the RegEx string (sound="\S*)( +)(") and replace with $1$3 The important thing to note is switching the search mode to Regular Expression down the bottom of the window:

This mod doesn't appear to be compatible with N-Drew's Heart of Beskar mod since both affect loot. Sherruk for example, is supposed to wield a short lightsaber and drop a double bladed and short lightsaber, but he drops two sabers from this mod instead.

How about make it optional? Give them a choice between medals and no medals; that way you can get your medals and other players who don't like the medals don't get them.

You are correct that making player heads is not what I had in mind when I released this modder's resource. I made this modder's resource to make it easier to create mods that make these characters NPCs in KotOR 2. Unfortunately, modelling is beyond my modding capabilities and I do not have experience in making player head mods either, so I suggest you ask for help by making a thread on the forums.

Yeah, the reason I took down my script is because it wasn't resolving all issues that I was encountering, but it did resolve some of the issues that come from just dumping the files only in the override folder. Main issue remaining: I can't seem to figure out how to get the Switch to recognize some texture files. For example, dropping michaelfung2000's Canonical Jedi Exile 1.2 mod (which only consists of four loose texture files) into any of these folders in the Switch romFS doesn't work — the textures never appear in-game: ./override ./override/textures ./Localized/English/override ./Localized/English/override/textures The fact that these aren't appearing correctly leads me to believe there may be other fundamental issues that could occur with Switch mods. I'm probably being overly cautious, but wanted to figure that out before re-publishing my script. Hopefully that makes sense.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I've gotten it to work and even made my own script based off of the one posted. Currently trying to figure out why this breaks some tooltips/button prompts, I suspect it's because TSLRCM does not edit dialog.tk but outright replaces it, and now a bunch of popup windows ingame reference PC controls instead. If/when I figure that out, I will share it here.

That one is a mistake/laziness on my part. I used KOTOR Tool instead of KGFF, so the name got converted to a local string instead of using the TLK reference. I'll make an updated version of the mod that addresses it at some point, thanks for pointing it out. If you want to fix it on your end, you'll first need a couple of tools - KGFF and ERFEdit. Go to the game's install folder and look in the Modules folder. Find sta_m45ad.mod and open it with ERFEdit. You should see something like this: Select the eight files dp_plc_jedifuel1.utp through to dp_plc_jedifuel8.utp and simply drag and drop them outside the ERFEdit window (for example, onto your Desktop). You can now close ERFEdit. One at a time, open the UTPs in KGFF. Scroll down until you see the "LocName" field and click on it to select it. It should look like this: With LocName selected, look over to the side panel on the right: In the StringRef field where it says -1, click in that field and delete the -1, then enter 35430, like so: Now back on the left, select the LocalString line underneath the LocName line, right click on it and choose Delete String: After it is deleted you can save the file from the menu up the top (File -> Save). Close the file and repeat the process for the other seven UTPs. Once all the UTPs are edited and saved, cut and paste them into the game's Override folder. Note that in order for this to show up in-game, you'll need to load a save before entering the final Star Forge level with Malak. Any save already inside there will have stored the UTP data in the save itself. The pop-up messages that show when you click on them should also be in English, but it seems like you already changed those? Those ones are added TLK strings. Since those are custom strings, other people would need to supply translated TLK strings for other languages. If you are interested in doing this for Russian, you can look at editing append.tlk in the mod's tslpatchdata folder and sending it to me.

Wish I had seen this mod when it was released. This is brilliant! They look a bit odd with human proportions, but I still love the idea just the same. Is there any plan to make more Duros NPCs in other areas of Kotor or even Kotor 2?

Because your AV is garbage. Check out a comparison on Virus Total. A heuristic detection is basically a wild guess that an executable might be malicious due to the way it works. False positives are common for low-end AV shovelware. The red flag that caused the detection here is likely due to wrapping the program as a single exe. This is apparently a problem for Holocron Toolset as well. It's a downside of using Python.

Hi, R2-X2 here, I will get to this soon hopefully. Was pretty busy the last years and had the mind elsewhere (though it was always in the back of my head). But I think it can be fixed by coding it more crudely, merely using the OnHeartbeat and probably less than half the code, which would have the negative effect of allowing for weapon switches to malfunction for a few seconds (granting an extra attack still or not granting one for a moment), but I guess unless you actively try to game the system, that shouldn't be an issue.

I just downloaded and played this mod moments ago. I can't thank you enough! My dreams of having this rather secret cut ending play out to such an incredible animation at the end, complete with credits and a comprehensive sequence of cutscenes, is a dream come true. I literally jumped out of my chair with my hands in the air that's how floored I was at this ending. I don't think BioWare could have done better if they tried all those years ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

As a follow-up advice to DarthRahl's comment, JC also mentioned that editing korr_m34aa_s.rim to korr_m34aa.mod in the "changes.ini" file *before* installation, should in theory make it compatible with K1CP (community patch), if you install it after the community patch. Currently testing this myself, but figured this would be useful to know for anyone wanting to try the mod before I update this review with my results

I like the idea of this mod, because it fits my head canon for one of my player characters. She's a light side Jedi Guardian, but she started out as a Scoundrel. Her story is that she didn't like the idea of becoming a Jedi, which normally means giving up all her freedom for the rest of her life. She agreed to do the Jedi training on Dantooine only because the Jedi Masters told her that Malak would hunt her down and kill her anyway if she didn't. So, she decided that she would be a Jedi only as long as Malak was still alive, and then she would quit the Jedi Order and go back to being a Scoundrel. Therefore, right after killing Malak, she takes the Ebon Hawk and does a runner! Bastila, Juhani and Carth aren't impressed, but don't dare to try and stop her as she's way too powerful. Jolee, Canderous and Mission just think it's funny!

I'm posting this same comment on "PC Response Moderation" and "[K1] Improved dialog.tlk 1.0" as it relates to both. Really nice work done here and there and can't decide which one is best. I did found the occasional mismatch, like some word on VO but not in subtitle, or vice-versa. Random example: someone says "That's a very good thing" but the subtitle reads "That's a good thing", but those instances are so few and far between and just adjectives that I did not make a note of it. Still, there's just one (and only that one) line of dialogue that I can't get over: When leaving the Tatooine swoop track after becoming champion, a twilek asks the player for an autoprint. In the vanilla game the 1st reply option is "What? My autoprint? Are you serious?", to what the fan replies "Sure I am. (...)". Now in this modifications the player just says "My autoprint?", to which the twilek still replies "Sure I am." So, for a more fluid conversation the player should ask "My autoprint? Are you serious?" or the phrase "Sure I am." removed from the fan response subtitle. If you ever consider an update, please correct this. 🙏

I can't help but be amused by the armor, because of what I know about its basis (the armor worn by the K1 Iridonian merc): it's actually the swoop pilot flight suit - the Bink movie of the swoop exploding on Taris shows this, as does anything that lets you look at a swoop mid-ride from such an angle that you can see the rider. Nevertheless, interesting idea for a new encounter.

Actually, I would say that the Clan Ordo symbol makes the most sense, since Canderous talks about wanting to unite them all under his banner.

To be fair, a lightsaber is not exactly the stealthiest of weapons. Not as unstealthy as, say, a chainsaw but still noisier than a regular blade. If memory serves, there are at least elite Sith Assassins on Malachor with lightsabers in vanilla. From a gameplay perspective, having to take on that many lightsaber-wielding opponents early-on is a bit much.

No matter what I do I cannot get it to work. the menus and everything look fine like they are supposed too. However the location of the menu buttons and where I have to click to select certain menu items is completely off. For example I have to click on the complete button right corner of the screen just to be able to click on the top button of the options screen.

From what i know all .dlg mods are compatible if they are installed first, K1R then use TSL to add its own fixes, from what i understand. Combine all .dlg mods together with tool (if any overwrite same file) and then just instal K1R. By basic K1R goes AFTER all other fixes and .dlg mods, and BEFORE all Texture & model mods.
