This mod adds interior doors to the Ebon Hawk, ported from the prologue in KotOR II. Each door has a trigger set around it which will cause it to open/close automatically as you approach/move away from it. Only the main ebo_m12aa are has the doors added in. The Ebon Hawk stunt modules where the Dodonna cutscenes etc take place remain unaffected. This mod will not work with saved games in which you have already entered the Ebon Hawk, as module data is stored within saves. You will need to use a save from before you obtain the Ebon Hawk or a start a new game for the changes to apply. Installation Run the included installer and the mod will install itself. Bugs No “bugs” as such to speak of, but there can be a little bit of funkiness during cutscenes/scripted NPC actions such as Sasha and Lur Arka Sulas leaving the ship. They will get a bit confused and turn on the spot in front of each door they pass whilst the door opens. The only way around this would be to go in and change the scripts for each “cutscene”, but I don’t personally feel it’s necessary.

This mod allows you to train Visas Marr in a prestige class, just like the Exile receives one during their journey. To offer her a prestige class, the following conditions must be met: Visas must be level 15 or higher. Your character must have a very high (≥75) or very low (≤25) alignment. You must have high Influence with Visas (≥75). Your character must have already chosen a prestige class. You must be aboard the Ebon Hawk. Once these conditions are met, a new dialogue option will appear, letting you recite Kreia's teachings (with a nod to your own class) to guide Visas toward one of the six prestige classes, based on your alignment. Like your training under Kreia, you can steer her toward the light or dark—but note that Visas will refuse a class opposed to your alignment (Jedi for Dark Side, Sith for Light Side). Alternatively, you can let her find her own path—but this will permanently lock the training option. TSLRCM is required. Main idea I’m pretty sure that if you’re in this modding community, you’ve at least once hesitated between the Community Patch for KOTOR 1 (K1CP) and the KOTOR Restoration mod (K1R). And I’m here to give you what you need. In fact, @N-DReW25 already made a restored content mod for K1CP (RC-K1CP). The fact is that it doesn’t restore everything K1R does, especially one of its biggest parts : the Pazaak Tournament on Manaan. The mod I made will bring it back into your game, with some additions I took the time to add. Please read at least the "optional" and "installation" sections in order to understand how the mod works (don't worry, it's not very complicated). I highly recommend downloading Jorak Uln's Manaan complete overhaul to give some fresh air to the game and to the Tournament itself. If not already done, Kexikus's Skyboxes too. It includes Manaan as well as every other planet in the game. While I'm at it, if you're interested in more new content for Manaan, I also refer you to my speeder fast travel mod. I deeply linked my mod to Sao's Sleheyron : Story mode. If you download his mod and play through it, my mod's connected characters will react differently and you will unlock new dialogue options. I'd recommend installing his mod before mine. Unless you really want to know what I added and what K1R had already made, you can skip this section and jump straight to the options. Optional I’m sure you will be pleased to know this mod is customizable. It has 4 interesting options. 1) Compatibility or full mode The only big issue you can encounter with this mod is the placeables limit. This is a KOTOR issue I discovered not long ago. Put simply, you can’t add more than about 25 new placeables in your game. K1R has a bit less than 10, while BOSSR has 20. DarthParametric’s diversified jedi captives on the Star Forge brings 7. Capitaine Spoque’s taxi system on Taris brings 1, such as mine for Manaan. Most of K1R’s placeables are actually from the Pazaak Tournament. They’re the animated holograms. There are 6. And, to be fair, they’re kind of broken. They disappear behind other placeables such as the exit door and the organizer’s desk. As this problem is very hard to solve and I don’t have the required modelling skills, I’m giving the following choice to you : - Full mode : With holograms, if you’re not planning to install many mods that add new placeables. - Compatibility mode : Without holograms, if you have some of the mods designated above, or others that add many placeables. If you have many mods installed, either you take the risk, or you check yourself in the placeables.2da file with Holocron Toolset, or you simply take the compatibility option. It really doesn’t remove much anyway. 2) New Loadscreen The Pazaak Tournament is compatible with : 1) adjrenter’s Very nice Loadscreens (See in requirements section for link) - Option A : Full version (with holograms) - Option B : Compatibility version : without holograms These are brand new LoadScreens. (Option C : You don’t take anything and you’ll get the basic “Very nice style” loadscreen, but it would be kind of a waste). 2) SithSpecter’s HD Loadscreens (See in requirements section for link) Here, either you don’t take anything and it will be the basic Revan and Malak Loadscreen, or you take this option and you’ll have Ahto East SithSpecter’s HD Loadscreen. 3) Gonto in Thor110’s Manaan Hotel restored room (INSTALLER VERSION) As showed in the screenshots, this will put Gonto Yas in the Hotel missing room, restored by Thor110. Make sure you install his mod first. It’s actually pretty consistent (not perfect but consistent) that he would be there, because he actually has some stuff to say about the murder. Just so you know, this option will add a computer, a locker, a table and 2 chairs in Gonto’s room, and will also give some Pazaak cards to Firith Me and make him look at them, towards his shelf (instead of standing in the center of his room like a true npc). 4) A brand new crystal from Bogga the Hutt I’m not telling you why, for obvious reasons, but you might want to speak with this guy. He's got some interesting background. If you’re the kind of person who installs a lot of mods, including the amazing Crazy34’s lightsaber blade models, you might want to have a look at this. And if you aren’t, well, I can only recommend that you download his models and this option, but you do you anyway. This is an option because it has a requirement. You will still have Bogga and his side quest even if you don’t get that option. You will just lose a cool Viridian lightsaber crystal with a nice story and some buffs. There shouldn’t be any spelling, grammar or syntax error/mistake as I put love, time and focus on this, but if you do find one, please tell me so I can fix it (this works for every issue you might encounter). Don’t be too harsh, I’m French, and English is by no means my first language. Requirements 1) For the Loadscreen options : - ajdrenter’s Very nice Loadscreens - SithSpecter’s HD Loadscreens 2) For option 3 : Thor110’s Manaan Hotel restored room (INSTALLER VERSION) 3) For option 4 : Crazy34's lightsaber blade models : (only the main part --vanilla sabers-- of his mod is needed) Installation Compatibility My mod is fully compatible with K1CP and RC-K1CP, as they are now (in 2025) the main reference for modders, at least the first one. More than compatible, they’re very much recommended ! It will obviously not be compatible with K1R, as it is meant to replace a big part of it. Please see option 1 for more information about the only (known) issue you could encounter. Known issues Basically none, except that you'll probably be lagging a little due to the fact that this is now an actual galactic event (meaning with way more NPCs in it). It will appear around the Sith embassy and its corridor, as well as for the end cutscene but that shouldn't be too much of a problem considering it will vanish during the dialogue. Thanks 1) @Fair Strides for giving me permission to use the amazing K1R’s Pazaak Tournament files and giving some advices. 2) @N-DReW25 for providing me with a working basis by extracting the files from K1R. 3) @SAO1138 for his excellent and detailed advices as well as his creative suggestions. I’m glad I could link my work to his. 4) @CapitaineSpoque for his regular help on making me understand how the game works, and for making the "very nice style" loadscreens. 5) @Crazy34 for his amazing new lightsaber blades models. 6) @Thor110 for his work on restoring the missing chamber. It was a lot of fun to use it. 7) All the amazing people who made the awesome tools I used for this mod : Holocron Toolset, Kotor Scripting Tool, ChangeEdit and HoloPatcher, "Very nice" (@ajdrenter) and "HD" (@Sithspecter) Loadscreens. 8] The KOTOR and, more precisely, DeadlyStream and Nexusmods community (even more precisely, those who download the mod lol), as the game is still alive thanks to all of you. Permissions If you need more information, please contact me on DeadlyStream or Discord KOTOR / DeadlyStream server : “The_Chaser_One”.

The triggers have been placed in the game and I think the effect is about as smooth as I'm going to get it: Much happier with this iteration of the mod than I was the previous one, so I think this going to be the approach I go with for the final product. I've done a little play-testing to make sure cutscenes aren't broken by the doors stopping NPC's moving etc and it all seems to be ok. The triggers all work as they should. There might be the odd bit of jank with NPC's getting lost for a second and turning on the spot while they wait for a door to open, but other than that, it's all good. Not that there are many proper cutscenes aboard the Ebon Hawk, anyway. At least not in ebo_m12aa, which is the only module I've added the doors to. The other stunt modules, I've left alone. I was mainly concerned that this would interfere with things like Sasha leaving the ship, but she just acts as above. Some of the doors go a little nuts if you try to follow her directly, as multiple creatures are entering/exiting the trigger areas at once, but don't do that it's fine. Well, here it is!

For reasons I can't explain, ever since I played TSL for the first time far longer ago than I care to admit, I've always wanted to have the interior doors in the Ebon Hawk in the first game. I noticed nobody else had added this feature in as of yet, so I decided to take a crack at doing it myself: All of the doors are added in and working, but obviously once they've opened, they stay that way. This feels like it makes the mod a bit pointless, so I'm currently working on a way to have each door automatically close once you move a certain distance away from it. I originally planned to use an OnHeartbeat script attached to each door to close it once you move a certain distance away, but it didn’t come out as well as I’d hoped: It’s a bit janky and doesn’t always seem to work as intended, so I’m not sold on this method. I did try using a trigger instead, having the doors open/close using the OnEnter and OnExit scripts instead and it’s a LOT smoother, so I think I’m gonna switch to that. Setting all those triggers isn’t going to be the quickest process in the world though so… that’ll be fun! As you can see, since the doors were originally intended to only be seen from one side in TSL, so once you pass through, you can see some of the door geometry poking out the wall on the other side. I'm not too bothered with that though, since it's unlikely anyone is going to be stopping and turning around to look up every time they walk through a door. I did show it at the end off the video though, just as a point of interest. I’ll hopefully get all of the triggers set tomorrow, give it a thorough test and then maybe put up a new test video before I create an installer and package it up for release.

Introducing: Sleheyron Story Mod. A brand new planet expansion to add to your next KOTOR play-through: Sleheyron! Built upon the Sleheyron demo mod by the legendary SithSpecter (with his permission), this new mod adds a huge new story that brings this lost-absent planet back to KOTOR. This mod contains the following new content: I was inspired by SithSpecter’s work, and I’m hoping in the future my mod will be compatible with his. It would be a worthy venture for me to undertake to make our Sleheyron stories co-exist. After all, I owe him a HUGE debt of thanks for permitting other modders to build off his Sleheyron demo! This new mod is my first ever project, and I’m quite excited to share it with you. Sleheyron will feature: 1: A roughly 5 hours long story, voice-acted (no AI voices either). 2: A fully-voice acted new party member, complete with a post-Sleheyron story and romance (A future update will include a Leviathan rescue). 3: 25 new modules of various shapes and sizes (including the four published by SithSpecter, which are amazing and I owe him a huge thanks!) 4: New weapons and armor. 5: Lots of connections to Tales of the Jedi, as I am a big fan of those comics. Regarding compatibility: This first version of the mod was NOT designed with compatibility in mind. There will be a later release this summer of "Sleheyron+" that will use HoloPatcher to create a mod-compatible version of Sleheyron. Because compatibility was not a goal for the 1.0 version of the mod, this mod does not yet use a Patcher program. There is a detailed and simple ReadMe with installation instructions within the zipped folder, however. If you are interested in using other mods, I'm afraid the best thing I can say is "do so at your own risk!" If you are interested in using other mods, my tester has found that you can install the entire of the most recent Neocities Mod Build with Sleheyron; just be sure to download Neocities first, then Sleheyron (he also said this caused an animation glitch with Selkath, but that can be resolved by then installing the Custom Selkath Animations and NPC Overhaul Mods to fix it. But, again, these were not intended when developing the mod- it's just an interesting solution to an unforeseen problem. The story for Sleheyron: Story Mode starts shortly after the player gets their main mission from the Jedi Council on Dantooine. There is a save file in this mod that will allow players to skip right to that moment with a pre-built character. Then you just need to fly to Sleheyron... But I also encourage players to make their own characters, too! Sleheyron can be visited at any time between Dantooine and the Unknown World. I, of course, recommend going early to enjoy the new companion as long as you would like. Some acknowledgements! Modders: First and foremost, the absolute biggest thanks to SithSpecter: Not just for creating the Sleheyron Demo that this mod is built off of, but for granting permission to use that Demo. When the day comes your Sleheyron Restoration Mod is complete, I know that it will be the very best Sleheyron mod out there! Thor110, for helping me out with the basics of module design, as well as introduced me to some cut modules to use. DarthParametric, for teaching me to retexture NPCs as well as two "larger creature" mods that became resources for Sleheyron (is there a single KOTOR mod out there that he hasn't been credited on?). SithHolocron, who early on helped teach me how to retexture modules. ZobiZob, for amazing YouTube tutorials for how to use Holocron Toolset and solving my problem with playing movies. GlaspyLawson, who learned modding at the same time as me, and shared his knowledge; and for contributing a side quest to Sleheyron! JC for just answering so many of my questions through the entire modding process. Really, the whole Mod Development KOTOR Discord Group! Thank you for either offering advice or tolerating my simplistic questions! Testers: Mikael, the absolute most enthusiastic alpha tester anyone could ask for. The_Chaser_One, a painstakingly thorough beta tester that made sure this mod was ready for launch (and also providing the cover art). StellarExile, who helped me out with learning how to use the patcher. MistahJayGarrick for his high praise of the story content (and occasional blunt, but necessary, advice). Tool Developers: Cortisol and W1z4rd designed and kept updated the incredible Holocron Toolset, that was instrumental in this mod's design. I owe them a massive thanks for their work, and the hours they spent helping me out with bug-fixing! Voice cast: LadyandSaoRS, the talented actress that gave us the incredible voice of Vima; giving this long-standing fan-favorite character a perfectly excellent rendition. Mikael, for various voiceovers around Sleheyron that made the planet feel alive (including the dulcet tones of an exhausted Hutt). C4 for the excellent performance as Commander Forcay, praised by a tester as "Sounds exactly like a NPC from KOTOR!" PuckShadows for his Sith Lt. Savage. Juice Phanta for a pitch-perfect protocol droid. Black Rose for literally hundreds of Iridorian mercenary lines, giving me an impressively huge range of pitches to work with. Schofield-HD for an officer of vice and virtue (and more roles to come in Sleheyron 1.1!) Gwoopp and MerakiSky for two fun little roles in the Sleheyron cantina. Companies: Of course, BioWare and Lucasfilm, for making this game that we all enjoy so much. NexusMods and Deadly Stream for being the places to discuss and host mods. Discord for enabling communication that made this mod a collaborative effort. Final Dedications: My wife, who tolerated me spending nearly six months isolated to make this. To a relative who isn't around anymore to enjoy Sleheyron. I think this mod would make you proud! (even if you did spoil this game for me) My apologies if I missed anyone else; but I appreciate all of your hard work! I hope you all enjoy Sleheyron: Story Mode!

While you sleep in the medical room, 3C-FD is patching your game. Restores fog and reflections which were broken in the Aspyr update. Works with both Steam and GOG versions. Only works on an unmodified swkotor2.exe. WIndows systems only. Included EXE Patches: - Fog Fix - Reflections Fix - 4GB Patch - Subtle Color Shift - Music Volume During Dialogue Fix - (Experimental) Borderless Window Mode How to use: Place 3C-FD_patcher.exe into your kotor2 game directory and run. It will patch your game exe with the fixes listed above. It will check if you have an unmodified steam or gog version of the latest (Aspyr) patch, otherwise it wont run. It will also make a backup of your original swkotor2.exe. How this was made: - The fog shading was just covered up when the latest version was released. I was able to send that data to the new Fracture shaders and apply fog coloring. It checks if the fog color is set to black and if not then it applies fog. Modules that don't use fog have a default fog color of black, Duxn and Dantoonie use a grayish color. - The shader for when both a lightmap and a cubemap is applied, to the same model, had a typo. Cubemap was labeled as a '2D' instead of 'CUBE'. Easy fix. Luckily the shaders are a plain text string, in the exe, and can be modified with a hex editor. The only issue is that the character length needs to be the same or smaller. The only way to get more data in the shader is to remove extra spaces/linebreaks and to shorten variables to single characters. - The music was lowered so much during dialogue that it was almost non existent. I was able to find the functions for calling volume control, using ghidra. The call was made only 3 times and from there it was process of elimination. Ultimately disabling a variable change if in dialogue, before the first volume change call, worked. Bugs: - This does not work with M478 Special Thanks: HappyFunTimes101 - ShaderOverride - I could not have done this without this tool. This made sorting out and identifying the shader data much easier. I probably wouldn't have even attempted or known where to look if this didn't exist. JCarter426 - For pointing out that the music was broken during dialogue. I hadn't noticed but couldn't stand it after hearing for myself. The K1 Community Patch (K1CP) is a compilation of previous bugfix mods and a multitude of new original fixes put together with the intention of resolving the many and various issues that KOTOR has. This includes some well-known game breaking bugs/softlocks, broken quests, inaccessible content, as well as lesser issues such as problems in conversations, visual inconsistencies, player annoyances, etc. The intention is for the changes to be as seamless as possible, fixing and improving things whilst still retaining the original developer intent. A huge thanks to all of the mod authors who created these mods, and allowed them to be included in this patch! Unfortunately, the individual list of changes has grown far too long to be included in this post. However, you can view a detailed breakdown of each author's individual contributions in the included readme file and a summary of the changes the current version has made since the previous release in the changelog file. List of Contributing Authors (alphabetical): A Future Pilot blennus danil-ch darthbdaman DarthParametric Ebmar Frykas Gimmick5000 jc2 JCarter426 Kainzorus Prime Kexikus KOTOR 1 Restoration Team Leilukin Markus Ramikin N-DReW25 ndix UR R2-X2 Red Hessian Salk th3w1zard1 Thrak Farelle WildKarrde Installation: Run INSTALL.exe and navigate to your K1 install folder. Generally speaking, this mod should be installed before anything else, except mods that do hard edits/overwrites of 2DA, TLK or MOD (module) files. Warning: Never run the installer from inside the archive! Always extract the archive onto your hard drive first. N.B.: With the advent of version 1.10.0, K1CP has migrated away from the use of TSLPatcher and switched to HoloPatcher. This allows for additional patching functionality and resolves some bugs encountered with TSLPatcher. HoloPatcher is also multi-platform. The bundled installer is the Windows version, but Mac and Linux users can download the appropriate installer for their system here. It is highly recommended that you do not install the game on your system's C drive, especially in Program Files. Windows can have permissions issues when trying to install the mod to a C drive destination. If you are using the Steam version of the game and have installed Steam in its default Program Files location, we advise creating a new Steam Library on a different drive and moving the game there via the game's Properties pop-up in Steam. Translation: The mod now has translations in French and Russian, available as separate patches. To use, first download the base K1CP v1.10.0 archive and extract it to your harddrive. Download your translation patch of choice and extract its contents into K1CP's tslpatchdata folder. Proceed to install the mod as normal. Compatibility/Known Issues: K1CP uses module injection in an attempt to remain as compatible as possible with other mods. This may result in issues with mods that simply put files in the Override folder. It is recommended that you consult the individual authors of any large scale mods, particularly those that edit DLGs and scripts, as to whether their work is compatible with K1CP. Some mods will likely require updates, some may need to be installed in a specific order, whilst others may be fundamentally incompatible. K1CP currently only supports the English language version of the game, and makes a number of edits to the TLK file in English. If anyone is able to provide translations of these changes to other languages, please let us know. The KOTOR 1 Restoration (K1R) mod is incompatible with K1CP, however there is ongoing work to re-create the K1R mod for K1CP: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2345-restored-content-for-k1cp-demo/ These are the currently known bugs/issues with KOTOR or the mod that the K1CP is looking to resolve: https://github.com/KOTORCommunityPatches/K1_Community_Patch/issues If you find any others, especially with changes/additions K1CP makes, please report them on the Github issue page or here on Deadly Stream so they can be addressed. Be sure to include as much information as possible, including a list of all the other mods you have installed, the order you installed them in, steps to reproduce the problem, along with screenshots and save files, if appropriate. You may also be directed to provide the install log file, a list of the contents of your Override folder, and specific MOD files from your modules folder. Uninstallation: Given the complexity of this mod, a clean install of KOTOR is the recommended approach for uninstalling K1CP. However, HoloPatcher does provide uninstall Shell (Bash) and PowerShell scripts which will work as long as K1CP was the most recent mod installed. Bastila's Sith Holocron strongly implies that she left Korriban to find Revan, here is the full dialogue: Looking at this dialogue, it's somewhat conflicting with what's presented in TOR as what Bastila says here somewhat aligns with what Kreia says about Revan even though what Kreia says about Revan is directly retconned in TOR. The retcon could be explained as Kreia 'projecting' her own views onto Revan, though what Bastila says here will inevitably have to be explained in the ROR mod. I have a feeling the answer as to what Revan's "technique of mass conversion" is is probably explained in the half hour lore-dump that is the Enclave scene. Another bit of useful Dark Side Bastila lore is what she says to T3-M4: Using both the Sith Holocron and T3-M4, we can assume that Revan left his Sith Empire around 3954 BBY. Without the strong, unifying leader that is Revan, the Sith started fighting one another for control of the Empire. The Sith who remained were too weak to control the Star Forge, thus rendering it useless for producing new ships. Bastila appears to be somewhat aware of the threat of the "True Sith" on Dromuund Kaas and so instead of dying in the Sith Civil War she set out to look for Revan. It can be assumed that an alternative version of the Revan novel took place where, between Kotor I and Kotor II, Darth Revan, T3-M4 and Canderous went to Rekkiad and found Mandalore's Mask. After leaving Canderous behind, Darth Revan and T3-M4 took the Ebon Hawk to Nathema where they were shot down by Darth Nyriss and Scourge. After capturing Darth Revan, T3 was left alone on Nathema and spent years repairing the Ebon Hawk so that he could return to the known galaxy. By the time he had finished his repairs, it was 3951 BBY... just in time for the events of Kotor II. And just like in the Light Side ending, Bastila gave T3 the orders as stated above - "If he leaves, he will take you with him - but not I. He knows the bond we share may prove a weakness... but he will take you. If something happens, T3, then I need you to return to the Republic and find me. And if you cannot, then I need you to seek whatever help you can elsewhere, whether Jedi or the Sith... or someone in-between." It is possible that Bastila became privy to Revan's actual plans, Goto and Disicple both speak of Malak as a conquering brute whereas Revan's agenda seems to have run deep and alluded them both. It is possible that Bastila left Korriban to find Revan, she might've found Nathema, though she did not find the True Sith who had captured Revan and so, as she ordered T3, had returned to the Republic as they were the only ones with the capacity to stop the True Sith now. And as I've probably discussed in the diary, only Carth would've known of the full extent of Bastila's betrayal if Revan was Dark Sided. It makes no difference whether Revan and Light Side or Dark Side as Bastila was technically a Sith in both endings, one has her redeemed and save the day and the other has her "redeemed" years later (Again, only Carth would know of the full extent of Bastila's betrayal so everyone else is oblivious to her past). Logan wants "replayability" with the ROR mod, you see that sort of thing with the player species and you'll see it here with Revan and Exile's gender and alignments wherein what you set impacts the story of past characters. In the case of Bastila, we can assume her thoughts and motivations towards the end of the mod will differ based on these factors. At the start of Drayen's dialogue in the Jedi Temple the player asks Drayen how his trip to Dantooine was to which Drayen directly mentions Luur Jada by name. As to what extent, I cannot say, but I can say he will make a cameo one way or another beyond this name drop.

Updated to 1.0.1 1.0.1 Update fix list: - Fixed the ability to remove party members from party in certain modules - Fixed dialogue in the 3rd recording in Tyrena station where it won't give you the updated journal entry - Fixed the king seeing you as a Miraluka when you're a Mirialan - Fixed the dialogue script typo which wouldn't set Exile as a male under canon choice To resolve these issues for those who downloaded the earlier version, you can download newest version and run the installer which will patch over it. But this will only affect saved games which are before these points.

In an attempt to salvage some material from the now defunct SW:KotOR Upgrade project, I have decided to share this modification with the community. This file is meant to replace the original dialog.tlk that comes with the original game. It is meant to be used exclusively with the English version of the game. It is technically compatible with every other modification that alter this same file by patching it, provided this is installed first. Two versions are offered: one that includes only corrections and a revised one that includes most of the changes found in the PC Response Moderation modification by Kainzorus Prime. Enjoy!

Hello, and welcome to the first Dev Diary of the Revenge of Revan mod. For those of us who have been living under a rock for the past decade, Revenge of Revan (or ROR for short) is a total conversion mod for Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords (Kotor II) that adds a standalone original story that continues from where Kotor II left off. With the Star Wars The Old Republic MMO (often shortened as just TOR) being released not long after the original ROR Demo, and with the new and innovative modding tools released over the years since, the ROR mod has gone through some drastic changes and has never looked better! In this Dev Diary I hope to show you some of these exciting changes, but first… I need to address the following. Whilst the ROR mod is a spiritual successor to Kotor II, emphasis on “spiritual”, it is NOT Kotor III! Kotor III was a video game that was cancelled by LucasArts in the late 2000s, the ROR mod is entirely fan fiction. Whilst we do strive to make the characters, locations, and elements of the mod faithful to the canonical Legends material, the story you shall experience in the ROR mod is entirely NON-CANON and should be treated as such. The ROR mod is intended to act as a bridge between Kotor II and TOR MMO, you can play a strictly canonical playthrough that would hypothetically lead to the events of TOR or play a non-canonical playthrough that sees you defeat the Sith menace once and for all. We shall get into further detail about this in the next Dev Diary. For those who may be wondering, the ROR Dev Diaries serves a few purposes. 1) It allows for you, the player, to get a taste of the mod without having to download it first. 2) Assuming someone makes a YouTube video about the mod once it's released, thus making purpose 1 redundant, it serves to give you developer commentary on some of the choices made in the development of the ROR mod. Giving you a unique insight into the mod and may serve to answer any questions you may have had when playing, or you can ask your own questions in the comment section of this dev diary relating to the content I've showcased in-case I didn't answer your question. 3) It serves as a space for the ROR Developers to pitch feature proposals to the player base before we commit our time and effort into developing them. We wouldn't want to waste an entire year developing something the players aren't going to like. With the feedback and your opinions which you'll hopefully leave in the comments we may get an idea of what the player base actually wants which will hopefully influence our decision on said feature. In this first Dev Diary, I shall focus on everything you see just before starting a new game – the Main Menu & Player Creation. And be warned, this entire Dev Diary is just the Main Menu & Player Creation. We actually start playing the mod in the second Dev Diary so stick around for when that comes out. (Please let me know if any of the links and/or images are broken) Starting off the mod, you arrive at the main menu screen. The character you see to the left is described as a Sith Witch though canonically she is a Sith Sorcerer, do know that she is not the main antagonist of the mod. Similar to Kotor II, there shall be a group of Sith who you will encounter throughout your journey, including the Sith Twins you encountered all the way back in the Demo, this Torguta character on the main screen, and more Sith who are yet to be announced. Many of the characters introduced in the ROR mod have unique and innovative designs, this character is based on a heavily modified variant of Kreia’s model. You can see the Darth Traya-style Sith Robes she’s wearing though her head has been heavily modified to resemble a Torguta. Here is a side by side comparison that shows you what I'm describing. This character will rely on Force attacks when you battle her in-game as she is a Sorceress, whereas the Sith Twins from the Demo will focus on melee combat as they're both Sith Assassins. As you can see in the screenshot, her head Montrals and Lekku head tails are short, similar to . They’re probably like this because the game would have trouble rendering/animating Shaak Ti sized Montrals and Lekkus (or at least they would back in 2011 when this character was made). And just for anyone who's curious, someone actually did try to make a Shaak Ti head for Kotor and this and this was the result... I'm sure you can see why we're sticking with our current appearance. Since we can't add a proper Shaak Ti sized head for this character, she'll probably be young, around the player character’s age, in-game when you encounter her to explain her appearance. And for any of you who still aren't sold on her appearance... just know that Disney's done worse by having Ahsoka's character design go from this to . This character is similar to Darth Sion in that she's on the menu for the start of the game but will be replaced by another, much stronger, character as the game progresses. I believe @Logan23 showcased the next Sith Lord who appears on the main menu on Moddb back in the day, which I shall once again showcase here. This character is based off Atris' cut Darth Traya model. She is another Sith Sorceress and is paired together with the Sith Torguta, I imagine this character would be the Torguta’s Master and would be a lot stronger than the Torguta. This later character also isn’t the big main bad guy of the mod, there’s more characters who’ll replace her on the main menu screen. Now I know it’s possible to set the menus manually via the config in the main game folder, though do know that these later characters have not yet been implemented into the menu as of right now – though there is a bug where if you try messing with the config. This is probably a remnant of Thor110’s Expanded Galaxy mod… speaking of which! The ROR mod will now utilize ported assets from the first game as porting has been allowed in our modding community since 2018. Thor110’s ported K1 modules from the Expanded Galaxy mod will be used to make new areas for the ROR mod whether it be reskinning K1 areas to make new areas for new planets or possibly even allowing you to revisit areas from the first game (emphasis on “possibly”). Thor110 has also improved the menus for the ROR mod. Kotor I’s menus are blue, Kotor II’s menus are green, the menus in The Jedi Master’s and Edge of Darkness mods are both red, and ROR’s menus are orange... or at least they're supposed to be. To demonstrate the extent of Thor110's improvements to ROR's menus, here is a screenshot showing the skill menu during the player creation menu. On the top is how the skill menu used to look like back in the old Demo, and below is how the skill menu looks today. Thor110 has also released other menu colour mods for Kotor II which you can see in the links embedded in the text. If you would like see ROR’s orange menus released as a standalone mod for Kotor II, let us know in the comment section of this Dev Diary and we might consider releasing the ROR menu to the public should the mod team agree to it. Unlike in the Demo, this mod has proper loading screens for all the modules you shall be visiting. The legal load screen and the default load screen are still untouched from the Demo and will need modern redesigns, though other than those two you'll have new load screens based off JC's Loadscreen Template for K2 meaning these load screens will be accurate to the ones you see in Kotor II. We shall see more of them in upcoming dev diaries, this heavily outdated load screen from the 2020 build should give you a taste of what's to come. Moving on to the player character selection screen: The player options are virtually unchanged from the Demo, you'll still have over 50 player heads to choose from, including a plethora of alien heads, and the default clothing is still the K1 Jedi Robes. Though this could change in the future. We won’t be adding any more alien player variants, though we may add new alien NPC variants that you can encounter throughout the game. That means, for example, we won’t add Kel Dor players though we may add Kel Dor NPCs if the models and textures become available to us. The only exception to the “no new alien player variant” rule would be to add female Devaronians. We already the male Devaronian heads, and I hope one day that we can add a female equivalent for this species at some point. With the male Twi'lek player heads, something I never noticed was that they have a revamped head model. I thought this was added between 2011 and 2020 but it turns out these heads were in the Demo from the beginning. Incase you can't see it, the Twi'lek player's neck isn't fat like they are in the vanilla Kotor II - they normally look like this. What's really strange about the improved Twi'lek heads of the ROR mod is that, as of right now, only the Twi'lek players get these updated models - Twi'lek NPCs still have the default fat necked heads. I have previously shared the concept of ROR Submods called "Addons", these mods would be released separately to the main ROR mod but wouldn't work without the ROR mod. If you're still confused about how that would look, I previously shared a screenshot of the Yoda character "Ulon" with an updated model and texture from the High Quality Aliens: Master Vandar mod which is for Kotor I. If we get permission from Ashton Scorpius, a version of his mod, Better Male Twi'lek Heads, may be released as a ROR Addon to give your male Twi'lek player character and Twi'lek NPCs improved heads with 3D ears. I would also like to point out that there are also these Twi'lek head variants with head coverings. These Twi'leks are unique in that, similar to your underwear in the Kotor games, their head coverings actually changes color when you fall to the Dark Side. Here is a side by side of the Dark Side and Light Side Twi'lek with head coverings. Many of the player heads in ROR unfortunately do not have Dark Side transitions... yet. We hope to add these to the ROR mod through updates. Even though it isn't integrated into the ROR mod right now, most, if not all, of the human ROR players now have Dark Side transitions and they're available to the public right now through RedRob41's RoR Playable Humans for TSL mod. But if the lack of Dark Side transitions frightens you then do not worry - for you won't be able to completely fall to the Dark Side in the first ROR release without cheating. Another possible change we are considering for the player character would be the player clothing. The K1 Robe clothing was a unique element of the ROR Demo back in the day as porting between Kotor I and Kotor II wasn’t allowed back then, the ROR mod got past the no porting rule due to the fact that the K1 Robe models and the brown K1 Robe texture were actually hidden with Kotor II’s game files and thus could be used without porting. And just like the robes, quite a few K1 heads were also hidden within the Kotor II game files. In this blog post by Sith Holocron, you can see in the K2 heads section that there are a few K1 heads like PFHC03 - you obviously can't play as PFHC03 in Kotor II but both the head model and texture was buried in the game files meaning it isn't considered porting if you were to mod it into your game. You can also notice a few white heads in Sith Holocron's list, these are heads who's models are in the game files but their textures are not. That means you can use the head PMHB04 without porting but if you were to grab his texture from Kotor II then it would be porting. So if that's the case, you might be wondering how we used PMHB04 back in 2011 without porting the K1 texture. From what I understand of the process, RedRob41 was able to use this head model without the K1 texture by mapping out the model's UV layout in a separate mudding program. Once he had the UV layout, he was able to take samples from the textures of Kotor II player heads and he was able to literally stitch together a brand new texture using only the Kotor II head textures - this method is called "Photo Sourcing" I believe. But alas, porting is no longer an issue in our modding community and such measures are no longer necessary going forward. So you might be wondering how this relates to our K1 Robe Clothing? Well, now that porting is allowed I’m sure many of the new and younger players of the ROR mod won’t find the K1 Robe Clothing as impressive as it was back when porting was a cultural taboo. Whilst he may not share this view in particular, Logan23 has expressed a desire to get rid of these K1 Robe Clothing and his reasoning is simple - he wants to use player heads as NPCs just like how Obsidian used player heads for various NPCs across Kotor II… but he can’t do that because the default clothing for the ROR players as NPCs will always be the K1 Jedi Robes. So to prevent you from walking into a Cantina full of people wearing Jedi Robes, Logan gave these NPCs different armors. Below is an example of two NPCs with the player appearances as NPCs, if they were given clothing they'd both be wearing the K1 Robe Clothing as seen above. And if you follow this link, you'll see what a Cantina full of these NPCs would look like - you simply can't tell who's a bounty hunter, who's a commoner, or if anyone in this room has a special sidequest as literally everyone in this screenshot sticks out like a sore thumb. I would like to make this clear, we have not touched the player clothing just yet - though we also haven't used player appearances for NPCs either due to the above mentioned problem. Just as there are now alien player head options, most of these aliens will be available as generic heads meaning there will be aliens on Corellia who'll not only wear proper clothes, but they won't reuse a player head option. So right now, we are torn between three different options in regards to the player's clothing moving forward: Option 1) Remove the K1 Jedi Robes and restore the vanilla default clothing, meaning your clothes will look like this again - what Logan23 wants. Option 2) Keep the K1 Jedi Robes and simply don't use ROR players as NPCs - what RedRob41 wants. Option 3) My own personal compromise between these two positions. In the spoiler below will be my very own proposal for a radical rework of how Jedi Robes work as an item in the ROR mod. If you don't care about this then feel free to skip the spoiler and continue on with the Dev Diary, though it would be greatly appreciated if you would hear me out and leave your opinions on the proposal in the comment section. For those of you who like my proposal, I may consider making this proposal a separate Kotor II mod as a means of testing how this proposal would actually work in-game. Even if you don't think this should be added to ROR, there might still be a really good mod idea to come from all of this. In terms of attributes and skills, there haven’t been any changes that I know of, though if you think there’s good reason to change something like attributes and class skills etc, we’d love to hear your case. Much like in Kotor II, the attributes and skills you pick can appear in your dialogue response options if said attribute or skill is high enough. So whilst we haven’t yet added droids to repair or terminals to slice into, the Computer Use and Repair skill can both be helpful in certain dialogues and can even help you in influencing droid or computer-expert companions in dialogue, so there’s a good reason to invest in your skills in this mod. Here is an example of the Awareness skill appearing in dialogue: Feats and Force Powers will undergo some changes in the ROR mod. For starters, I believe Logan23 has gone through and changed many of the Feat and/or Force Power requirements so that you need to be a higher level than you would in Kotor I or Kotor II. This is to prevent your young, inexperienced Padawan character from getting Force Storm on the fourth planet as well as to prevent you from getting Wound and Force Shock in front of Drayen during the first mission to Corellia. Below is a second one of my "totally not controversial" proposals, feel free to skip over it if you don't want to hear it but we would appreciate it if you gave us your feedback on this idea. The above is just a proposal, if the player base approves of these concepts we may one day add them, if they strongly oppose them we don’t, and if people give their own ideas on how to improve/rework these proposals these could also be taken into consideration. But what does the ROR mod add in terms of feats right now? Well… Players will receive a feat based on their species, we will talk more about these feats in the next Dev Diary though do know that these feats will be used by NPCs to determine the player’s species, allowing these NPCs to react your species via dialogue. Here is a screenshot of an NPC reacting to a Miraluka player, the same species that Visas Marr is in Kotor II: Let's say if Gorton Colu was in the mod, he’d be able to recognize if you’re a human or not… your species is no longer a cosmetic choice, you can be rewarded or punished for the species you have chosen at random points in the mod. Obviously a racist like Gorton Colu isn’t going to like a Twi’lek player, though a Twi’lek character might be equally discriminative towards a human player than they would to a fellow Twi’lek. Oh, and don't forget how I previously mentioned how almost every alien you can play as will also have alien NPC commoner variants, so expect dialogue and NPC encounters to get... spicy throughout your playthrough. This feature will be discussed at greater length in the next Dev Diary. There is currently a bug where the player will still receives the War Veterans feat, even though the player isn’t a War Veteran we'll most likely keep the Feat by renaming it to imply something else so you can get those sweet 30 Vitality Points at the start of the game that this feat gives you. And with that, the Dev Diary comes to a close. Please let us know in the comments of this thread what you think, and feel free to stick around for more updates and Dev Diaries for the ROR mod – a mod we hope will be yours to play soon.

After over 15 years of development hell few would honestly keep believing tbh. Most such projects that go for so long end up stuck for good. Though I doubt Logan would deliver without your help (and any other people that assisted him with this mod). That said congrats for your efforts and sheer determination to deliver despite all odds. Respect. I'm glad that I was wrong about the "dead" part. How many episodes are planned?

This mod edits the various landing pad areas so that you can see through the Ebon Hawk's cockpit windows to the interior, which should be a bit more interesting than the blacked-out windows from the vanilla game. This mod incorporates model fixes to the Dantooine landing pad and Leviathan hangar developed by the KOTOR 1 Community Patch (K1CP) team, which are included here with permission. I have also made the following minor area model improvements: - Adjusted the Manaan hangar's ceiling layout to hide a rogue seamblocker mesh. - Edited the Korriban landing bay's lightmapping to add some bounce lighting around the floor lights. - Created new environment map reflections for the Ebon Hawk in Davik's hangar and the Leviathan's hangar to better match the hangar space. Because mods that edit the same area models are incompatible by nature, I have provided optional compatibility patches for use with other notable mods. Please see the "Compatibility" section below for further information. Thank you for downloading, and I hope you enjoy this mod! ------------------------------------------------------------------- INSTALLATION If you are using one or more of the mods listed in the "Compatibility" section below, install them first. Copy all files from "Main Installation" to your game's Override folder. Then, copy files from any required compatibility patches into Override as well, overwriting when asked. ------------------------------------------------------------------- COMPATIBILITY Except as noted below, this mod is incompatible with any other mods that edit the same files. The standard installation is compatible with the KOTOR 1 Community Patch (K1CP) and includes most of its edits to the Leviathan hangar except for the added forcefield, which can be added with the separate compatibility patch below. I have included additional compatibility patches for the following mods: - K1CP (Added Leviathan Forcefield) (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1258-kotor-1-community-patch/) - High Quality Skyboxes II for K1 by Kexikus (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/723-high-quality-skyboxes-ii/) - Yavin Station Hangar by me (https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2068-yavin-station-hangar/) As noted above, the K1CP compatibility patch is only required for the added forcefield over the hangar opening and is entirely optional if you prefer the vanilla-style invisible forcefield. This mod is compatible with most reskins and texture mods. If you are using a mod that reskins the exterior of the Ebon Hawk, delete this mod's version of LSI_EHawk01.tpc from Override. If the reskin includes "LSI_EHawk01.txi", open it and change the entry after "envmaptexture" to "WK_CM_LevHang". ------------------------------------------------------------------- CREDITS KotorBlender by seedhartha MDLedit and KOTORmax by bead-v tpcview and tga2tpc by ndix UR Kotor Tool by Fred Tetra Special thanks to: - DarthParametric and JCarter426 of the K1CP team for granting permission to include their fixes to the Leviathan hangar and Dantooine landing pad. - Kexikus for granting permission to include an environment map for Davik's hangar based on his High Quality Skyboxes II mod ------------------------------------------------------------------- VERSION HISTORY 1.0 - Initial Release 1.1 - Updated Dantooine to include fixes from K1CP 1.1.1 - Updated Yavin Station Hangar compatibility patch to incorporate edits from version 1.5 ------------------------------------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER AND PERMISSIONS This modification is provided as-is and is not supported by Disney, Lucasarts, or Bioware. MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron ORIGINAL RELEASE: 25 FEB 2023 GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords Description: This mod replaces the LEH_scre01 textures found around the Ebon Hawk include much of the Ebon Hawk but as best remembered being seen around the Galaxy Map. The previous version will still be available for completists but I consider this version to be the definitive version. This is the “More Subtle” version. (The “Less Subtle version will be available shortly.) As before, the Galaxy Map texture is not included in this mod. You may be wondering: "Why did this need to be made? Well, it’s the companion piece to my other recent mod “Ebon Hawk Cockpit Upgrade [LEH_Scre02].” As they’re both on the Ebon Hawk, I should that LEH_scre01 and LEH_scre02 textures should both match. With both textures, you’ll have that opportunity. First, I started with an upscale kindly provided to me by ConansHair of the LTA_scre01.tga texture. Then I remade the 3 of the windows over from scratch. As before, all four windows are animated but I didn’t stop there. I also animated the LED lights and the buttons as well. After all of these were done and looked over for issues by a top-notch beta team, I asked ebmar if he could add “glass overlays” to the monitors like he did for my recent LEH-Scre02 texture. Constructive criticism is welcome. Here’s a video preview of the texture in action. Installation: For either game – If already present in your Override folder, delete LEH_scre01.tpc, LEH_scre01.tga and LEH_scre01.txi (or move them to your Desktop) Then after extracting the contents of the 7z file, choose from the Overlay and Non-Overlay folders which TPC file you wish to use for your Ebon Hawk and place it in your Override folder. To Uninstall: Delete LEH_scre01.tpc from your Override folder. Known Bugs: None known at this time. If you do encounter one, please note it on the download page and tag me in the comment. I’ll see if I can suss out the issue. Legal Disclaimer: All materials and copyrights belong to LucasArts, Bioware and Obsidian Entertainment Inc., I own none of the materials, and I'm not making any money out of this mod. It is to be distributed as-is without alteration, unless by permission of the mod author. This mod is not to be distributed for profit, either. I hereby state that I specifically do NOT wish this mod to be uploaded to Steam Workshop. Ever. I may release this on NexusMods at a later date but I don't wish others to do so. Usage in other mods must be requested AND approved by me before your use. Messages that request permission without providing information on how your alternate version would be different than mine should be considered an instant denial of permission. Special Thanks: · To ConansHair for the upscale of the original LEH_scre01 texture and for input on this mod’s release. · To ScrierOne for his permission to use his buttons in this texture. · And to Ebmar for adding overlays to this texture.

AUTHOR: jonathan7 EMAIL: Message me via lucas forums user name is jonathan7 NAME: Character Start Up Changes CREDITS: Fred Tetra for the wonderful KotOR tool, all at Lucas Forums for the various Tutrials and Stoffe for TSLpatcher. FILENAME: Character Start Up Changes FILE SIZE: 725kb unzipped DATE RELEASED: 12/12/2010 DESCRIPTION: This essentially changes the starting feats for the three classes and makes pretty much all the feats availible for the player to select for their individual PC. Personally it always bugged me that often my PC would end up with quite a few useless feats that she did not need. So what this does is delete all the preset feats for the classes and give you free selectable ones, the Soldiers have the most, then Scouts then Scoundrels; you have the same ammounts of feats as in the vanilla game but you are free to choose what you want. I think this does improve the RPG aspect of the game, be warned however to make sure you specialise in either melee weapons or some form of blaster, otherwise you won't be doing much in combat! The mod also changes Persuade into a class skill, so it's availible to all three classes, always struck me as silly that Bioware didn't do this, as the PC is the only charachter who can actually use Persuade, seemed unfair only one of the classes got it; but maybe thats just me. A couple of pre-set feats remain; for the Scout the Implant Feat 1, because the scount automatically gets them as the PC is leveled up. The scoundrel keeps Scoundrels luck for obvious reasons, not that its a selectable feat, but things like that and "uncanny dodge" I have left alone. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:"Extract from the zip and then run the installer, simple enough! COMMENTS: Enjoy! BUGS: Should be none, may well require a little work to make compatible with other mods which edit these .2da's - Shem's extra feat mod spring to mind, but to be honest if you have that, then I don't see why your installing this :-p PERMISSIONS: PM me at LF to discuss useage. A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC MODIFICATION High Quality Cockpit Skyboxes By Sithspecter Description: Through the course of Knights of the Old Republic, the Ebon Hawk become's the player's home. Complete with a workbench, engine room, crew quarters, and racy swoop bike, the Ebon Hawk doesn't lack much. Except for a view, that is. Looking out the cockpit windows is less than inspiring, given the blurry and inaccurate view presented. After tjsase released his High Quality Cockpit Skyboxes for TSL, I knew the first game needed the same treatment. This mod completely replaces the existing cockpit skybox with a newly modeled and textured skybox with HD textures. The skybox has been rendered to reasonably accurate perspective, and shows you a real, crisp view of the landing area. Use: Use of High Quality Cockpit Skyboxes is extremely easy: Put all the files in your Override folder and then play! That's it! The new models and textures will automatically appear when you load up your last save. If the Ebon Hawk is taking too long to load, see "Texture Quality" below. Installation: 1. Open the .zip file for the mod 2. Open the folder labeled override 3. Extract all the files to your KotOR override folder Incompatibility: This mod should be compatible with any mod. I do not know of any other mods that alter the Ebon Hawk skybox, so it should be fine with any combination of mods. Texture Quality: Due to the way the skybox is set up and the massive file sizes used in this mod, the Ebon Hawk will take about 5-10 seconds longer to load each time. There are four different size versions available on Nexus and Deadly Stream to suit different player needs. If the Ebon Hawk it taking too long to load, you can download smaller version to reduce load time somewhat: Extra Large: 2048 by 2048 textures, best quality, longest load time Large: 1536 by 1536 textures, great quality, long load time Medium: 1024 by 1024 textures, good quality, reduced load time Small: 512 by 512 textures, reduced quality, fastest load time Credit: Credit goes to tjsase for inspiration from your TSL High Quality Cockpit Skyboxes and for giving me permission to do this mod. Credit goes to Kexikus for the inspiration from your screenshots. They look fantastic so I modeled the screenshots for this mod after your High Definition Skyboxes mod. Looks I forgot to sort the smoothing out. I can see a couple of funky bits here and there. I’ll upload a fixed version in a bit. @ConansHair Here we go. That should look even better. Also exported a version for TSL. I can't think off the top of my head of anywhere it's used ingame, but it's there just in case. plc_kiosk3_fixed.zip

ABOUT: This mod replaces every skybox and every planetary backdrop in the game with a new high resolution version made from scratch. This includes a replacement of every skybox model to fix all the glaring issues with the original. There are also some additional minor changes that either fix issues with the vanilla environments or serve to better blend ingame terrain and skybox. Other than that I recommend you just check out the screenshots as pictures say more than a thousand words or check the video to see the animated skyboxes. Click the following image to see additional interactive screenshot comparisons: There are also add-ons with new skyboxes for the following mods: Brotherhood of Shadows: Solomon's Revenge Yavin IV Ord Mandell including InSidious' reskin Green Grass for Dantooine If you find any issues or have any other comments, please let me know and I'll see what can be done. INSTALLATION: If you have a previous version of this mod installed, remove it before installing the new version or you might run into some issues. For installation instructions check the read-me files of the individual downloads. Usually it's just copying files to your Override folder. For the mod to take full effect you need a savegame where you have not yet left Dantooine. COMPABILITY: This mod is not compatible with any mod that edits skyboxes in any way. This includes mods that only edit their models. There might also be rare incompabilities with mods that edit non-skybox area models if those models are also edited by this mod. PERMISSIONS: You may NOT redistribute any textures included in this archive without my explicit permission. You may however use all the models as long as you give me credit. Hello, I'm N-DReW25: a writer for the Revenge of Revan mod. The mod's development is going well, though any discussion of the mod's development can be done in the return of ROR thread as this post is concerning another topic. During the development of the ROR mod, I've personally thought up something called a "Revenge of Revan Addon mod" or "ROR Addon" for short. A ROR Addon is a mod which is designed to work with the ROR mod and can only be used with the ROR mod (A mod which was made for K2 which is also fully compatible with ROR isn't considered a ROR Addon, though a "What's compatible with ROR" thread might be opened upon ROR Episode 1's release!). Originally, I thought I would be announcing the ROR Addon concept sometime after the release of ROR Episode 1, however, due to the release of a recent mod I am pleased to announce that a new ROR Addon has been made which I can happily show the general public without leaking anything from the modern ROR mod which is still in development. And the first (and hopefully not last) ROR Addon is called: "High Quality Aliens: Yoda Species" The Revenge of Revan mod currently has not one, not two, but three Yoda species NPCs. Whilst I have made 3 skins, currently only one of the Yoda NPCs is used in the mod though since none of you realistically know who "Ulon Tuain" is I might as well call it "High Quality Aliens: Yoda Species". This here is now Ulon appears in the ROR Demo and how he will look in the future releases of the ROR mod: And here is how Ulon will appear with the HQ Yoda Species ROR Addon installed!: Disclaimer: Every Jedi Council member in the ROR Demo had names, you could only see them in the dialogue feedback menu once the Jedi Council cutscene ended. Just because Ulon Tuain has a ROR Addon made for him and the fact that I've revealed his name to the public doesn't make him "important" in the grand scheme of the ROR plot, as many of the fine details of later content of ROR is still up in the air it is possible that Ulon Tuain might just be "a Jedi Council member" character and that's it, or it might be possible that the Jedi Council members will play a bigger role which hasn't been written in yet... we just don't know (in 2022). And the dialogue is of course experimental, if overall community feedback dislikes the Yoda speak then remove from the mod we will! So when will this ROR Addon be released? I am not certain of that, and I have two very good reasons as to why this mod might not be released soon. 1) ROR Episode 1 hasn't been released yet: If I released this mod tomorrow then the players would only be able to play this mod with the ROR Demo which was released in 2011 (How many of us are playing the ROR Demo in 2022?) 2) Stormie's ported model hasn't been thoroughly tested: When I imported the model into MDLEdit (One of you model modders probably had a stroke reading that) I received an error message. This is very, VERY likely the result of MDLEdit not being prepared to load a "custom model completely built from scratch using modern 3D asset creation techniques" (as Stormie puts it). MDLEdit probably had a stroke as the following was the error message I recieved: As you can see from my screenshot, I believe the ported model works just fine in K2... however, I think it might be best to wait some time and hope Stormie himself ports his work to K2 and I'll just use that model instead. But I want it now! I am also very, VERY open to the idea of releasing all 3 High Quality Yoda skins for ROR as replacements for the original Vandar mod. That means you will be able to pick one of the 3 ROR Yoda's and have it replace the Vandar texture in K1 (You WILL require Stormie's original mod to be installed first!) In-conclusion: Let me know what you guys think of both the High Quality Vandar reskin and the concept of Addon mods for the ROR mod! Do you think ROR Addons are a good idea? Would you play with Addons when ROR is released? Do you think this is a bad idea? Should I release the Yoda skins for K1? Let me know what you think in the comments, your feedback (good and bad) would be helpful for Logan and the team! All credit goes to Stormie97 for the original model and texture!

Exactly, the head mesh uses 17 bones so the error message should go away with a more recent version of MDLEdit. I should add that I’ve only tested him with his normal K1 animations (essentially just standing around and taking). I did try replacing the PC with him to see the combat animations for fun so that wasn’t a rigourous test. I haven’t played ROR so depending on what those Yoda-likes do in the mod I might have to recheck the skin weights, especially on the lower body. I do hear that you’d need a TSL port so I’ll look into that shortly.

Summary This is a collection of various things that I found annoying enough to alter. I collect things that I don't think warrant their own mods into a single mod, to be released to the general public when it becomes more substantial. Contents I've divided this mod into five categories: Straight Fixes, Bug Fixes, Resolution Fixes, Aesthetic Improvements, and Things What Bother Me Fixes. Straight Fixes are fixes for issues I think are genuine errors or mistakes or oversights or what have you. There's a problem, here's a fix for it. No artistic license is involved. Bug Fixes really fall under straight fixes but I've separated them into their own category because they're more severe and there's absolutely no reason not to have them. They fix bugs that could potentially break your game. What I've included are either well known and easy for me to do a quick fix or came to my attention directly. There are lots of other bugs this mod doesn't fix, so I strongly suggest that you seek out a more extensive bug-fixing mod. Resolution Fixes are all textures from the game for which there were identical, higher resolution textures somewhere else in the game files. So I've swapped the lower resolution ones for the higher resolution ones. I've separated these from the straight fixes because a) I didn't make any of the content here - it's all extracted from the game, and b) they don't actually fix "problems" per se - it's just an increase in resolution. It looks the same, with slightly more pixels. Aesthetic Improvements are my attempts to improve the visual quality in certain areas. I've tried to maintain the original aesthetic of the game while improving the quality. But the nature of the improvements necessitates new content created by me. You might not like my work, or you might use a different mod that touches on these areas, or whatever, so I've isolated these from the other fixes. Things What Bother Me Fixes fix things what bother me. They might not bother you but they bother me, so I've isolated those as well. For a full release history, see the accompanied file.

It's a bit of shame that the first mod I ever actually release had somewhat of a controversial origin, but oh well. This mod was requested by @SithTrooper, however the original idea sparked quite the discussion and the thread was ultimately locked. I have kept that discussion in mind and altered certain parts of Mira's original outfit to be more appropriate for Mission. Basically, this mod allows Mission to wear Mira's jacket and pants. Underneath the jacket are basically Mission's vanilla undergarments, as seen when you unequip anything from her body slot. Hopefully nobody finds this offensive, as I do not want to start anything or continue the original thread. This mod should be compatible with anything that doesn't edit Mission's appearance.2da row (specifically model and tex b). So it *should* be compatible with K1R. Oh, and yes, this is technically a port. I recall reading somewhere that this fact must be mentioned. If this mod is truly dead (I really hope this is not the case, but many fans fear that the mod actually is dead), then please, at least, if Logan is reading this or You were actively involved in its development and still have the files You were working on, release the files with what You worked on so far! I understand it must be hard to let go, but let's face it: is it better for all the hard work to just "rot away", forgotten on some hard drive in an old PC, that is collecting dust in an attic, or would You prefer that people would be able to enjoy at least a part of Your hard work and creativity, with proper credit being given to Your effort! I am absolutely sure that all content made so far should be released, so that we could enjoy what has been made so far, and other young, dedicated modders could pick up the pace and continue Your excellent work! It could be uploaded to GitHub or even here and given "as is", and I bet lots of people would be much happier to play an incomplete mod than no mod at all! I know it must be hard to let years of work go, but it would be a pity to let pride completly lose and destroy the very work You spent so much of your youths on! Let's face it, it's been 10 years, it is a mod for a 15-year old game, it might not even run on the operating systems we will have 5-10 years from now :(( I know it is sad, but this is the reality, I am sure everyone will really appreciate being able to just play the mod as is right now, with all its missing content and bugs! Some of us are in their mid 30s to their 50s, we might not even live long enough to get to see the full mod released, if it ever gets finished...

Hey everyone! Here you can post your question about the Revenge Revan game or modding/game design. Post the text here and then if you have a mic you can also email me the question in your voice where I will then answer the question combining the two audio (question and answer) together and release it. Thanks Logan

@Logan23 Hey, Logan! I've been following this project since its beggining! Noticed the website gone offline (domain expired), so I thought I could lend a helping hand... So, I managed to recover your website from archive.org and also got a new domain for it You're back online, check it out! Head to www.revengeofrevan.net You should be covered for the next three years (domain and hosting services have been paid in advance) and as soon as I get some extra "credits" to spare I'll extend the domain period more! It's the least I can do to support this awesome project!

Hi everyone I feel like i was frozen on Hoth the past several weeks. Good news- I have a place to live at now- so i won't be living under my work desk. Thanks to some fellow modders here I learned abit about editing module properties to create atmosphere. This new mood to the module was done just today and thanks to the new Toolset from Fair Strides , I have starting to populate and test changes way more quickly- an amazing modding tool! Here are some quick pics of Vogga's Ship (Goto's old module) Had to make them a little lighter since the images came out dark orginally More to Come Logan23

Hi everyone, First off the project is still alive. Things have been very slow because I'm dealing with a medical issue the past few months. Its nothing life threatening. I'm hoping to get the medication for it in the coming few weeks. Got health insurance red tape to jump through first. I will keep you guys posted. Ideally once i have my medication, things will be looking good for the project and my amount of time i can work on it =) Thank you for your patience Logan

Hey Everyone The Beta Testing for the Demo's content has started!! With this comes the next step Human VOs.... Post here is your interested in doing VO work for Revenge of Revan. Just need to know your age and wither your male or female along with what type of characters you believe you would be good for....villain, beggar, sad npc, happy npc, professional npc, soldier,..etc. I will send a PM to you where you can send me a sample of a VO you did. Then i will send out the parts/lines to the people by email. Roles will range from simple NPCs walking by to more detail roles. MORE TO COME..... Logan ----------------------------------------------------------------------- List of People who are Interested: Storm-Rider "Im interested in doing a VO for revenge of revan, Im 16, Male, I havent done it before but wanting to try it out, I'll be good at any character really, Although i'd like to try a villain," Sith Holocron Male age 30's JediExile "I'll try out. I'm a female in my 20s. I'd be good at a happy or professional NPC. Just let me know where to send the sample" JuniorModder Specialize in male children-adults, with British and American accents. However, I can do older adults. I can play many characters with unique voices at one time, so it's no problem for me to play multiple characters. ZimmMaster Will be 17 in nine days. I specialize in male characters, especially villains, with a deep bass voice. Cody I am Male and I am 19 years old. Though I am told that my voice makes me sound younger. I can do a voice for villains, beggars, sad npcs, happy npcs, young soldiers, young jedi/sith and child-young adult. Kreia001 Hi, I am a male and currently I am 17 years old. I can do VO's for everyone, though I would prefer a villain, jedi/sith, and if possible a major character. I am talanted at acting Makaveli I'm a male in my 20's. With accents, I can affect a southern american accent pretty well, otherwise unaccented (american). My voice is similar to Zherron/Nemo in a character sense, though I can raise the speed and pitch. I'm not really suited to a young or excitable character, but the others I could give a good shot.

Define "completed" for me. Taris has about 30 or so restorations and has the most restored content out of any planet as of version 0.10.1. If you mean "where are the Outcast children" and "where is the Vulkar Sublevel" then I'll say the Outcast children are close and the Vulkar Sublevel is far away. Currently, I'm looking to have Shuma from Dantooine restored soon and followed by the Iriaz. By the time you start and finish this playthrough I probably won't have the Outcast children ready, let alone the Sublevel. Unless you're thinking of other restored content and I'm missing? Yes, I do fully intend to restore Trask' missing soundset at some point. Everything Trask Ulgo related will be an optional install to maintain compatibility with Jedi from the Start. In terms of cut content for the Endar Spire, there are entire tutorials that were cut. For example, when you kill your first two Sith Soldiers in that hallway the door to the room with the Combat Suit was supposed to lock and so Trask would tell you to hop on the Computer Terminal, use spikes to summon an Astromech Droid, the Astromech Droid would be damaged and so you'd need repair parts to fix the droid to get it to unlock the door for you. Other isolated bits of cut dialogue include more lines regarding the mini-map, a prompt that would tell you to check your mini-map if you went the wrong way, dialogue on the bridge about a tutorial regarding level ups, a line from Trask warning the player about unstable power conduits, an alternative line from Carth that if restored would require me to cut several other lines, two lines from Trask about the random Jedi that need AI to recreate as they were never recorded. All in all, most of the Trask lines need LIP sync files for me to restore and until I can make LIP syncs, or get someone else who can do it for me, I can't restore these things. I'm sure you can live without these Endar Spire restorations in the mean time, though. I'll definitely consider it once I get around to updating the mod. In recent news, the modder @The_Chaser_One, with permission from Fair Strides, has ported K1R's Pazaak Tournament from K1R to act as a standalone mod. With permission from both Fair Strides and The_Chaser_One, I do plan on adding the Pazaak Tournament from K1R into the RC-K1CP mod with my own edits as a separate optional install. I do plan on expanding on what K1R's Pazaak Tournament established in ways that "blends" better with the vanilla game so that it feels more like a genuine feature and less like a mod (though admittedly that won't be easy). For better or for worse, The_Chaser_One has modified the K1R Pazaak Tournament to be "better" in his own view. I'm sure many of us would like receiving a cool Lightsaber as a reward from the Tournament, though custom content features like that won't be part of RC-K1CP. If players prefer The_Chaser_One's custom content version then they can use his mod, but players who prefer my "restored content purist" version can use the version that'll be part of RC-K1CP. When I do get around to toying with the Pazaak Tournament files myself, I will showcase my changes to the Pazaak Tournament here in this thread.

Well, the number of doors in need of the autoclose is not tremendously high, really. Going the trigger way may be a better result in the end but that would have taken too much time, in my opinion. I have also tweaked the OnEnter for areas with autoclose doors to make sure that they get closed upon returning if they were open when leaving the area. There were also other things to consider to try to reduce the number of glitches (like trying to not make them close if there is a body lying at close distance from the door and also checking the distanace between the party member to make sure that the door wouldn't close when one party member is following the leader is at a certain distance from the door. In the end, the result is decent but far from stellar. I'll be certainly using this once you publish it. Best of luck!

@SithNadd I believe the K1 Enhancement Pack contained a feature that allowed for this, since it is a modder's resource you can study how SpaceAlex made his doors work for when you make your own.
