7 pointsI need to provide some back-of-the-box quotes as well. "Yeah, it was OK I guess" "I haven't uninstalled it yet, so there's that" "If you are a fan of mods, this is a mod" "The most fun I've ever had extracting a ZIP archive"

3 pointsOn behalf of members of Deadlystream community, We acknolwedge and honor the effort and dedication of a respected member of our community, Sith Holocron. As many of you know, Sith Holocron has been an admin on deadlystream for as long as many of us can remember. He recently announced his reitrement as of July 1st, 2018. Years and years of patiently handling and resolving conflict between modders, community members, moderators, and other admins, Sith Holocron went above and beyond the requirements of his position and actively sought out to create a friendly, constructive forum site. Often pointing forum members, through PM or forum posts, towards other members that would have the knowledge they sought. When I was new the forums, it was SH who pointed me towards certain members to ask about modding topics. Sith Holocron's outstanding management to maintain and uphold the Rules of Deadlystream, even when he may have personally disagreed with the rules, and, in some cases, when enforcing the rules was unpopular, stands as testament to his incredible dedication. Despite knowing that by his actions of enforcing unpopular rules and policies, he would put himself, personally, in the crossfire; he continually did so for the benefit of the community. Sith Holocron invested into the community in ways, many of us cannot presume to comprehend, as an administrator, and, to this day, as a member of the community. From critique and to praise, from engaging and encouraging modders to collaborate and create to reminding members of the DS policies, Sith Holocron influenced the establishment of countless mods. Here are a few of those mods: M4-78 Darth Sion and Male Exile Mod Lightsaber and Force Forms Want Kaah Gone Realistic Skybox fo Deathdisco's Coruscant Handmaiden and Female Exile - Kreia's Fall in HD with original Sound and music Star Map Revamp M4-78 Alternate SkyBox Pack 1.0 K1 Galaxy Map Fix Pack TSL Galaxy Map Fix Pack Ebon Hawk Model Fixes Recruitment of Master Atris M4-78 MOvies Remade Taibhrigh's Female Player Head Taibhrigh's PFHA04 Extended Enclave Dustil Restoration Telos Citadel Station Skybox G0-T0 Overhaul Dak's Armored Robes Trainable Disciple (Upcoming mod) Juhani Catlike Head Mod WE, as a community, are indebted to you SH for all the engagement, management, and innumberable hours you've put into Deadlystream. For over eight years of service towards our community, Thank you Sith Holocron!

2 pointsI've made an attempt at it. It hasn't been tested beyond character creation and the first conversation with Kreia, so treat it as a beta/WIP: A few notes: While aligned as closely as possible, the neckline won't match perfectly. Expect some visible gaps on body models that don't hide the join, like underwear. The TOR head models use separate textures for the face, eyes, and hair. In order to allow for DS transitions, these had to be merged together (and the UVs adjusted to match). The eyes are the big loser in this. They went from having their own dedicated 256x256 texture to being shrunk down to a ~80x80 corner where they could be squeezed in. An additional consequence of the texture merge is no normal maps, due to the hair requiring alpha masking. Regarding DS transitions, there's just the one, using Jaesa's DS appearance. Pic. TOR heavily relies on tint mapping textures for variation - skin tone, hair colour, eye colour, etc. Unfortunately, while the tint colours are available in the material files, the specifics of their shaders are unknown (to me at least), so the best I can do is experiment with various blend modes to approximate the look. It may require some further experimentation and kludging. It doesn't help that TOR's in-game result is heavily influenced by the room/area lighting. Not even having specularity, much less the advanced (by comparison) graphical features of TOR, expect textures to look pretty flat by comparison to the originals. KOTOR has a maximum bone limit per mesh of 16. This creates a problem for TOR meshes, as adding the eyelids to the face bone array pushes that to 18. I had to drop 2 bones to make it work. I chose the two nose corner bones, as they seemed the least important. I don't know what effect this may have on various facial animations though. It's probably not too big a deal for a player head, but it could be troublesome for NPC heads. Vanilla KOTOR head meshes have the eyelids as separate trimeshes for this reason. The hair meshes in TOR are cloth driven, the same as Twi'lek lekku, capes, etc. Obviously KOTOR doesn't have any provision for that. It does have danglymeshes, but I haven't tried it out with Jaesa's hair yet, so currently it is completely rigid. The skin weights were produced by skin wrapping a KOTOR head, with some manual touch-up afterwards. The result is pretty rough. It could stand being redone by someone that actually knows what they are doing. It shouldn't be too bad for a player head, but there will likely be deformation issues when speaking if used for an NPC.

this is a t3m4 skin I have had in the works for a little while now, my usual rules apply, use this however you'd like bu give me credit and a PM, all the disclaimers and stuff apply. thanks obsidian and bioware, NO thanks Disney. ps. I used the dds format, please keep it in dds, it's way more efficient and I noticed next to no quality loss. -
1 pointYou deserved an infinite dark side points for suggesting that lols. Anyways, [Updated: July 05, 2018] I believe the look of the blaster have been finalised now; as the achieved result was pleasing as-is, and the shade and tone of the blaster is fitting with Selven itself. Along with the updated look, the problem with the "flaky" normal map on the texture and the muzzle glitch on the tip of the bullethook has been resolved. Any updates of current development will also be posted in thread's introduction post.

1 pointBeen working on yet another Recruitable Maxis update lately, part of which includes giving a new voice to the Spirit you encounter on Korriban. (don't tell anybody but it's the Gran voice from K2 with reverb). If anyone's interested in how it sounds, here's a video.

1 pointIf you are also using the standalone M4-78, needs to be installed in its folder. Or if you are using some other Workshop mod that alters appearance.2da over the top of those, then whatever that is. This is why people say not to use the Workshop.

1 pointI miss before Disney took over Star Wars. I do enjoy much of the new content coming out (minus the new trilogy) and I like how Star Wars is considerably more "organized" now if that's the right way to word it, but some of the magic is gone. Besides the Clone Wars being cancelled, I liked the chaotic nature of the Expanded universe. What was canon? What was the timeline? Hell, idk but I loved all of it. It was a mess full of wondrous creativity to explore and Disney will never give us that because they're plans are much more strict.

1 pointConceptually, you're not wrong. Dialogue usually comes from the center channel for surround sound or is left as mono for stereo sound, but it is mixed up sometimes for immersion as you say. One example is Yoda's introduction in Empire when he says "...feel like what?" and Luke turns around. The audio for Yoda's line comes from the right channel because he's off-screen to the right of Luke. But there are complications with it for KOTOR and video games in general. The main issue is that unlike with a film, with a video game you don't have a finished, edited video with the camera angles and the cutting locked in. A video game in 3D space can have all the characters' positions change based on how the scene is triggered, you can skip through parts of a cutscene if you're bored, different characters can be present, and so on. In a film, the video editing is completed and then only after that will the sound editor go in to adjust the balance and make the audio match the video. That doesn't happen with a video game, which is why developers will often include pre-rendered cinematics that do allow for that sort of editing, such as with the dream sequences in KOTOR. This all depends on the game, of course, and how the engine handles cutscenes, but at least with KOTOR the camera angles are generated dynamically. There's a stock set of camera angles (#1, #2, #3, and #5, with #0 being a random choice) from which the game picks and the composition of each shot changes based on which angle is picked and where the characters are in the game world. Whether they're too close to each other, or too close to a wall, or there's something in between them, whether the player initiates the conversation from the speaker's right or left, which character is configured as the listener for a dialogue node - all these things can change how the scene actually plays out. KOTOR in particular is very bad at choosing its camera angles and characters frequently cross the line (they face one direction in the start of the scene, and later face another direction, which can be disorientating). It wouldn't be practical to edit the VO in stereo because there's a good chance it would not actually match the scene. The engine could be set up to have the VO come from each speaker, where they are in 3D space, just like the sound effects, but I don't believe KOTOR does this. And if even if it could, it wouldn't be a good idea due to all the crossing the line issues. A character's audio would switch from the right channel to the left channel and back because of the shoddy camera angles and that would be distracting. So it's only practical to edit in stereo for cutscenes with specific camera angles and not rely on the usual haphazard dynamic system. You can do this in the game (angles #4 and #6) but it's more time consuming. Darth Malak's introduction is like this, for example, but Darth Bandon's introduction is not. I'm guessing they didn't have the time or budget to do it for all of them. The other complication for KOTOR, though, is the VO simply can't be in stereo as far as we can tell. It specifically has to be mono or else the line will be mute. You could get around this, but once again it wouldn't be very practical. You would have to leave the real VO line mute and add a script to play some form of audio that is allowed to be stereo (I think music is) and doing that for every single line of dialogue in a scene would be tedious. A more practical solution would be to do a cut of the whole scene and make it unskipable so the audio can play out uninterrupted - but this may be annoying for longer scenes - or pre-render the whole thing as a Bink video, which would have no limitations on the audio but it does come with other limitations due to its nature of being pre-rendered. This is another case of being in the 99% of things in KOTOR that could be done... but is more trouble than it's worth.

1 pointThese would get along nicely with the new icons hahah. And more quote's suggestion: "I had fun with the patcher though" 😂
-
1 pointYeah, I figured that as soon as I submitted the post. I didn't realize how old this thread was! I PM'ed him after I put the request up. Thank you for the heads up!

1 pointI think Star Forge might be the place to go then, seeing as it is the server that holds my old characters atm

1 pointI'm totally including this for when I repackage High Quality Blasters.

1 pointThanks. <bashful> I just quit the Staff. I ain't leaving the site, folks. Easier to have less responsibilities so I can concentrate on assisting other mods - mainly by recruiting. It is more rewarding (for me) and I think I might appear less like a blowhard that way. You're not rid of me yet...

Underwear Mod for TSL by RedRob41 ================================================================ IF YOU ARE EVER IN ANY DOUBT ABOUT INSTALLING ANY MODS, PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR FILES BEFORE INSTALLATION, JUST IN CASE. WARNING: THIS INSTALLER MAY REPLACE ANY FILES OF THE SAME NAME THAT ARE ALREADY PRESENT IN YOUR OVERRIDE FOLDER! ================================================================ Description: This mod includes re-skins and re-models for the player character (male & female), as well as many of the party members. It includes: - Females now have your choice of athletic, two piece with boxers, two piece with briefs, and Mass Effect style (not an exact copy). These skins should be compatible with other mods. - I've fixed the Dancer outfit model and texture so that it matches the shape and muscle tone of the underwear. These skins might not be as compatible with other models, since the uvw map has been altered (especially on the arms and legs). - Updated for v2.0: The model's stance has also been narrowed, to match the underwear model's stance (previously, it looked a littl bow-legged). The skirt cloth has been adjusted so that the front does not clip with the legs as much, and the back doesn't have a gap where it attaches to the belt. Also, Force powers will now eminate from the hand, rather than from a space floating between the hand and face. The textures have been tweaked so that there is better matching at the model's seams. - I've fixed the Male's standard underwear model uvw map, and these should be compatible with most other mods. - Males now have your choice of athletic, shirtless with boxers, shirtless with briefs, and Mass Effect style. These skins won't be compatible with other mods, since the uvw map is significantly changed. - New for v2.0: Atton now has his own unique underwear instead of using the default Caucasian underwear texture. It is meant to look like the brown shirt that he wears under his white shirt and vest of his default clothes. - Bao Dur now has underwear instead of using his default clothes model & texture. - New for v2.0: The Disciple now has his own unique underwear instead of using the default Caucasian underwear texture. This set is designed to look like the black undershirt from his standard clothes, and is more like a Jedi's under tunic. - The Handmaiden's underwear, normal clothes, and dancer outfit have been altered. She will now have a figure that stays the same shape for all three models. Her skin tone and musculature will be consistent. - When wearing underwear, she will now have white lace for LS, and black stockings for DS. The model has been re-shaped so that her figure now matches her standard clothes much better. These models and skins will not be very compatible with other mods, since the uvw map has been changed a great deal. - Updated for v2.0: the white lace now has more detail, the chest skin tone is more natural, the DS lace bra has been re-done from scratch. - Her DS hooded clothes will now have stockings that match the new underwear skin. They are very subtle, and you might only see the difference when she is attacking (especially kicking). Her LS clothes have subtle changes, so that her outfit is much less bland and monotone. These skins should be compatible with other mods, as the uvw map is unchanged. There is also an optional version of the LS clothes, where the only difference from the vanilla version, is that the boots match the new underwear's boots. - When wearing the dancers outfit, she will no longer "magically" shrink to an 8 inch "wasp waist". Other changes to the skirt and Force powers are same as for the playable female dancer model (listed above). These skins might not be as compatible with other models, since the uvw map has been altered (especially on the arms and legs). - Updated for v2.0: new model; skin textures have been improved. - Mira's underwear, normal clothes, and dancer outfit have been altered. She will now have a figure that stays the same shape for all three models (for v2.0 there is even greater accuracy to a matching shape, especially upper body and collar bone). Her skin tone and musculature will be consistent. - When wearing underwear, instead of the standard "potato sack" unitard, she will now have her teal coloured tie up shirt, now with working dangly ties. This v2.0 model was compiled with MDLOps 0.7a2, and so there may be some small inconsistencies with the polygon face normals, and how the game engine renders shadows on them. Most notable is the edge seam where the torso mesh joins the arm meshes (above the bicep). Because of this, I've included short sleaves on the texture, to camoflage the edge seam (there are two optional alternatives, one with bare shoulders where the edge seam error can be easily seen). - Updated for v2.0: new underwear model and textures. - Her ballistic mesh jacket will now have smaller shoulder plates and belt pouches, as well as more texture in the jacket and pants. These models and skins should be interchangeable with other mods, as the uvw map is unchanged. - Updated for v2.0: new underwear model and textures. - Visas Marr now has a choice of 3 Light Side & 3 Dark Side underwears to choose from. These all use the standard female underwear model, so they should be compatible with other mods (unless those mods change the model). - Updated for v2.0: The LS underwears fix a slight error on the back of the hand, where it used to have a touch of purple fabric. there is a new texture for her default clothes, where the only change is that the shoe texture matches the style of the underwear texture. ================================================================ Directions: I've separated all the different options, so that you can pick and choose (mix & match) which underwears you'd like to use. - For the player character and Visas, simply copy the contents of any folder (.mdl .mdx .tga files) into the TSL Override folder. These do not require a TSLPatcher installer. **** IMPORTANT **** the model in each of these directories has been customized & matched to the textures in that folder. For simplicity, please do NOT mix these up, since they may not be entirely compatible with each other. For example, if you want the female PCs to wear Two Piece with boxers; while the male PCs wear Mass Effect; and Visas wears Two Piece with briefs: simply copy the contents of only those folders into the override directory. - For Atton, Bao Dur, Disciple, Handmaiden, and Mira, you will have to run the TSLPatcher.exe file for each of these five characters on their own. This is to allow players the option of using other people's mods for some characters, if they choose to do so. For Handmaiden and Mira, after running the patcher, there are some optional textures (as mentioned in the description) which require manually copying the desired texture file into the Override folder. ================================================================ Disclaimer: By downloading and using any of my mods you agree that I will not be held responsible if anything goes wrong with your computer because of your use of my files. Use my mods and files at your own risk. ================================================================ Permissions: (or questions) If you would like to use any of my files in your own mod, please contact me at http://deadlystream.com/ by Private Message to discuss useage. 0 pointsWould there be anyone out there who would want to make a head that resembles Jaesa Willsaam's from Swtor? Or possibly even a port of the model for Kotor 2? I was thinking about doing a light side playthrough of TSL, and thought it would be cool to play as my favorite companion from the MMO. Jaesa Willsaam Swtor model

0 pointsThere are no custom heads as such. At least not in terms of morphs like in Mass Effect, for example. There are only a handful of fixed player head models, with various textures for complexion/makeup/scars/tattoos/etc. plus some addon meshes for beards/cybernetics/jewellery/etc. It wouldn't be significantly more difficult to recreate one of those, just not particularly practical given that each such head would need to be manually assembled and compiled into something KOTOR could use. It may eventually prove less burdensome if plans regarding utilising the TOR skeleton bear fruit, but as it stands now I'd not expect too much in that regard. As per this thread, there's no canon Exile in terms of a unique mesh like Revan, Satele, Malgus, etc. It's just a slightly altered version of a generic NPC head shared by Kira Carsen.

0 pointsHad a few fairly big setbacks with HK-48 but I'm still really excited to bring it out. I've got more time now so hopefully I can re-do what I've lost and polish it up.

0 pointsI just realized I hadn't commented in this thread yet! I LOVED Solo, even though I'll admit it added nothing new to the greater SW universe. It was funny, charming, and had GREAT music. And with the extremely low expectations set by the lackluster marketing, that was impressive enough for me to come out of the theater with a grin on my face! At least, all that plus the Darth Maul cameo.

0 pointsHello everyone! Some of you may remember me from LF before it went down which brings me to why this topic is being created. Back on LF, there was a role-play section known as the Dantooine theater company which was an area designed for Role-playing. I was thinking of seeing it we could do something similar here but I wanted to get people's thoughts and opinions before anything concrete was put in motion. If you have any thoughts, idea, opinions, please feel free to post it here. Hope you all have a wonderful night - Chev

0 pointsThe problem with that is that the anthology movies are better than the trilogy movies... Can't believe I haven't posted this one in the topic yet; (Spoilers obviously)
