  1. KOTOR 1 Community Patch

The K1 Community Patch (K1CP) is a compilation of previous bugfix mods and a multitude of new original fixes put together with the intention of resolving the many and various issues that KOTOR has. This includes some well-known game breaking bugs/softlocks, broken quests, inaccessible content, as well as lesser issues such as problems in conversations, visual inconsistencies, player annoyances, etc. The intention is for the changes to be as seamless as possible, fixing and improving things whilst still retaining the original developer intent.
A huge thanks to all of the mod authors who created these mods, and allowed them to be included in this patch! Unfortunately, the individual list of changes has grown far too long to be included in this post. However, you can view a detailed breakdown of each author's individual contributions in the included readme file and a summary of the changes the current version has made since the previous release in the changelog file.
    List of Contributing Authors (alphabetical):
A Future Pilot blennus danil-ch darthbdaman DarthParametric Ebmar Frykas Gimmick5000 jc2 JCarter426 Kainzorus Prime Kexikus KOTOR 1 Restoration Team Leilukin Markus Ramikin N-DReW25 ndix UR R2-X2 Red Hessian Salk th3w1zard1 Thrak Farelle WildKarrde Installation:
Run INSTALL.exe and navigate to your K1 install folder. Generally speaking, this mod should be installed before anything else, except mods that do hard edits/overwrites of 2DA, TLK or MOD (module) files.
Warning: Never run the installer from inside the archive! Always extract the archive onto your hard drive first.
N.B.: With the advent of version 1.10.0, K1CP has migrated away from the use of TSLPatcher and switched to HoloPatcher. This allows for additional patching functionality and resolves some bugs encountered with TSLPatcher. HoloPatcher is also multi-platform. The bundled installer is the Windows version, but Mac and Linux users can download the appropriate installer for their system here.
It is highly recommended that you do not install the game on your system's C drive, especially in Program Files. Windows can have permissions issues when trying to install the mod to a C drive destination. If you are using the Steam version of the game and have installed Steam in its default Program Files location, we advise creating a new Steam Library on a different drive and moving the game there via the game's Properties pop-up in Steam.
    Translation:
The mod now has translations in French and Russian, available as separate patches. To use, first download the base K1CP v1.10.0 archive and extract it to your harddrive. Download your translation patch of choice and extract its contents into K1CP's tslpatchdata folder. Proceed to install the mod as normal.
    Compatibility/Known Issues:
K1CP uses module injection in an attempt to remain as compatible as possible with other mods. This may result in issues with mods that simply put files in the Override folder. It is recommended that you consult the individual authors of any large scale mods, particularly those that edit DLGs and scripts, as to whether their work is compatible with K1CP. Some mods will likely require updates, some may need to be installed in a specific order, whilst others may be fundamentally incompatible.
K1CP currently only supports the English language version of the game, and makes a number of edits to the TLK file in English. If anyone is able to provide translations of these changes to other languages, please let us know.
The KOTOR 1 Restoration (K1R) mod is incompatible with K1CP, however there is ongoing work to re-create the K1R mod for K1CP: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2345-restored-content-for-k1cp-demo/
These are the currently known bugs/issues with KOTOR or the mod that the K1CP is looking to resolve:
    https://github.com/KOTORCommunityPatches/K1_Community_Patch/issues
If you find any others, especially with changes/additions K1CP makes, please report them on the Github issue page or here on Deadly Stream so they can be addressed. Be sure to include as much information as possible, including a list of all the other mods you have installed, the order you installed them in, steps to reproduce the problem, along with screenshots and save files, if appropriate. You may also be directed to provide the install log file, a list of the contents of your Override folder, and specific MOD files from your modules folder.
    Uninstallation:
Given the complexity of this mod, a clean install of KOTOR is the recommended approach for uninstalling K1CP. However, HoloPatcher does provide uninstall Shell (Bash) and PowerShell scripts which will work as long as K1CP was the most recent mod installed.
    Permissions:
Due to this mod being a compilation from many different authors, please do not distribute/rehost it.

    » DESCRIPTION
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    WARNING: IN ALMOST ALL CASES, IT IS RECOMMENDED TO INSTALL THE K1R RESTORATION BEFORE ANY OTHER MODS!!! THE ONLY EXCEPTION SO FAR IS KAINZORUS PRIME'S NPC OVERHAUL...
    The KotOR 1 Restoration Mod is an attempt to restore almost all the content that was cut from the game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic by BioWare Corp. Of course, these restorations will be within reason and things that were cut because they did not fit with the plot, and cannot be made to fit with the plot, will most definitley NOT be restored.
    » INSTALLATION
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
An installation which involves the TSL Patcher has been made ready for your use and is the simplest and easiest way to carry out installation.

Alternatively, a secondary installer has been made for convenience. It will not patch the files like the TSL Patcher will, but it should be less of a headache for most users. HOWEVER, IT WILL NEED TO BE INSTALLED BEFORE ANY OTHER MODS!!!

Note: The K1R team is not responsible for any incompatibility issues that may arise from the use of this mod in conjunction with other mods. Also, in order to provide the best feedback for us we recommend that you play K1R with NO other mods installed.

Note 2: If using the TSL Patcher AND your game is in English, before installing, copy the dialog.tlk file bundled with this package into the KotOR directory. This will give you the grammar and typo fixes to the vanilla text.

  3. KOTOR Widescreen Fade Fix

When fading, a portion of the screen fades out of sync with the rest of the screen while using widescreen resolutions. This is a simple fix to solve that issue.

    To use:
    1. Download
    2. Move the file from the folder that corresponds to your display resolution into your override folder.

  4. Enslave Zaalbar

    JC2 Presents:
    ENSLAVE ZAALBAR

    Spoilers ahead!

After you command Zaalbar to kill mission using the Force to manipulate him, he betrays you on the Star Forge.
This mod gives you the choose of killing him or enslaving him to your Dark will. He just doesn’t know how far he’s fallen. Afterall, Darth Sidious’s greatest strength was deception/manipulatoin
    CAUTION:
If you kill Mission and fail to Force Persuade Zaalbar to do it, then my mod will not present this option. Keep in mind, my mod allows you to enslave Zaalbar on the Star Forge, not on the Unknown World.
    //
    \\
ONLY FOR THOSE WITH SAVE MISSION INSTALLED
For clarity, if you have “Save Mission” installed and choose to kill Mission, and you have this mod installed, then you can keep Zaalbar (Mission will still die).
Keep in mind you have to have force persuasion to convince Zaalbar to kill Mission. If he does not kill mission, this mod will not work as it will have nothing to do.
If do not have “Save Mission” installed, then do not worry.

    CREDITS: (Credits my brother, CREDITS!)

Thank you Canderis for your words of wisdom, I woke up to the thought of "You don't want to upload a broken mod, trust me!"
Thanks JuiceTin for 2.00 bug information

How to install: Unzip, then copy and paste files into Override file.
    Uninstall by removing the files.

    UPDATE 2.0 notes:
Recommend re-installing there was a glitch that prevented Zaalbar from staying in your party, instead he would just stand there.

    Please give me feedback
    Postive/Negative is welcomed and encouraged!

  5. Kandon Ark Fix

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    Release Date: 20.02.2017

    Installation:
Simply click on the TSLPatcher.exe and click install and sit back and watch the TSLatcher do its magic

    Uninstallation:
    N/A

    Description:
If you play Dark Side you may remember you get sent by Kandon Ark to kill Gadon Thek and his Hidden Bek Gang! Once you have done that sidequest you return to the Vulkar base where a random green Twi'lek is the one to reward you for a
job you did for Kandon! Looking at the game files I realized that random green Twi'lek WAS Kandon Ark the whole time. The reason why myself and hopefully more people didn't know that was Kandon was because he was wearing generic Twi'lek
clothes and not the Military Suit he is known for so this mod makes Kandon Ark wear his Military suit and equips him with a Disruptor blaster so you can recognize him better!

    WARNING:

  6. Transparent Environment Suit Faceplates for K1

IMPORTANT: The K1CP 1.10+ compatible version of v1.3.0  had a critical bug which completely broke how the star map global variables update when opening the Star Map on Manaan, which would eventually softlock the game.  If you are using v1.3.0 of this mod with K1CP 1.10, download the attached hotfix to patch your installation.
This mod makes the spacesuit and diving suit faceplates transparent so that you can see the head of the character wearing them, as opposed to the opaque faceplates on the vanilla suits.  There is also an option to install only the diving suits, if you prefer the spacesuits to keep their  mirrored vanilla faceplates (similar to real spacesuits).  I have also made the following edits to the suit models:
    - Adjusted texture UVs to hide texture regions that appear unfinished.
    - Added a bright texture to the squares on either side of the faceplate (which were apparently intended to look like lights but instead appeared reflective in the vanilla game).
    - Added light beams and in-game light sources to the diving suit to simulate helmet-mounted floodlights.  (I have also included an option that does not have these lights if you prefer.)
    - Added a new environment map for the spacesuit which approximates the surroundings during the spacewalk.
I have also included two optional variations:
    - No Diving Suit Floodlights - Omits the diving suit's new floodlights
    - Less Transparent Spacesuit Faceplates - Reduces the transparency of the spacesuit's faceplate, if you prefer a more mirrored look but would still like some transparency.  The diving suit is not affected by this option.
Please note that if you are using a non-vanilla player head, the diving suit and spacesuit will default back to the vanilla-style mirrored faceplates.  See the "Compatibility" section below for further information.
IMPORTANT:  A save from before exploring the Manaan seafloor for the first time is required.
Thank you for downloading, and I hope you enjoy this mod!
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    INSTALLATION
Run INSTALL.exe and select the install directory for your game.  Select which version of the mod you would like to install from the drop-down menu at the top of the window, and click the "Install" button.  The "Full Install" options make changes to both the space suits and the diving suits, while the "Diving Suits Only" options only affect the diving suits.
    IMPORTANT:
    - Select one of the "K1CP 1.10+" options if you are using KOTOR 1 Community Patch (K1CP) version 1.10
or higher.  If you are using K1CP 1.9.2 or lower, use one of the "General" options.
    - Select one of the "K1R" options if you are using the KOTOR 1 Restoration (K1R) with the option "Party on
the Sea Floor".  If you are using K1R without "Party on the Sea Floor", use one of the "General" options.
If you would like to use the "No Diving Suit Floodlights" or "Less Transparent Spacesuit Faceplates" options, select the corresponding option from the drop-down menu after the main installation is complete, and click "Install" again.
This mod includes the Windows version of HoloPatcher for installation.  If you are running on Mac or Linux, you can find the appropriate versions of HoloPatcher here, along with the latest Windows version:  https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2243-holopatcher/. This mod requires HoloPatcher version 1.5.2 or higher of HoloPatcher.
If you have other mods installed, it is normal to see warnings that some or all of the following files already exist and have been skipped:
    - appearance.2da
    - heads.2da
    - lev40ad.mod
    - manm28aa.mod
    - manm28ab.mod
    - manm28ac.mod
    - manm28ad.mod
Selecting the "Diving Suits Only" option will still install the UV fixes and new environment map for the spacesuit.  If you do not want these changes, delete the following files from Override:
    - UV Fixes: spacesuit01.mdl, spacesuit01.mdx
    - Environment Map: P_WaterSuit02.txi
If you would like to edit the scripts in this mod for personal use, please note that most of the provided script source files cannot be directly compiled because they include 2DA memory tokens, placeholders which are automatically replaced by appearance.2da row numbers when compiled during installation.  Running the installer and selecting the option "MODDING TOOL: Build Script Source" will save copies of the source scripts to the subfolder "temp_nss_working_dir" within "tslpatchdata" with the necessary appearance.2da row references automatically filled in.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    COMPATIBILITY
This mod is compatible with the KOTOR 1 Community Patch (K1CP) and the KOTOR 1 Restoration (K1R).  Note that if you are using K1CP 1.10 or higher or K1R with the "Party on the Sea Floor" option, you must install the appropriate option as described in the "Installation" section above.  It is not compatible with any mods that alter the following files:
    - k_plev_airouopn2.ncs
    - k_pman_airlock02.ncs
    - k_pman_airlock03.ncs
    - k_pman_airlock11.ncs
    - k_pman_starmap05.nss
    - k_pman_starmap02.nss (K1CP 1.10+ installation option only.  K1CP itself is, of course, the exception that is compatible.)
This mod's edits to m28ad_01a.wok are sufficiently minor that overwriting this mod's version with one from another mod will not cause any significant issues.
For best results, install this mod after K1CP, K1R, or any other mods that make significant edits to:
    - The walk speed of the space/diving suits
    - The module with the Leviathan spacewalk
    - The Manaan seafloor or undersea base modules
This mod is compatible with reskins and texture mods that affect vanilla heads.  It will not conflict with mods that edit the MDL/MDX files of vanilla heads, but the changes to the head model will not carry over to the head seen inside the spacesuit.  Similarly, due to the nature of a work-around used by this mod, any mods that edit the Star Map MDL/MDX will not affect the Manaan Star Map.  Mods that reskin the Star Map are compatible.
Due to the way this mod is implemented, the environment suit faceplates will still be opaque if you use a non-vanilla player head.  If you would like to see a non-vanilla head in the spacesuit, I have included instructions for making the new head compatible with this mod.  For further information, please see "Instructions to Add New Heads.pdf".
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    LIMITATIONS AND KNOWN BUGS
The new lights on the diving suit do not equally affect all objects, likely due to game engine limitations.
If you are using the compatibility patch for the K1R "Party on the Sea Floor" option, your weapons will not be reequipped automatically when you reenter the underwater base.  This is a work-around for a bug where party members were somehow still able to use blasters underwater to shoot the Firaxan sharks.  Apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks to Nehua for suggesting an option to keep the mirrored faceplates on the spacesuits.  Thanks also to Salk for suggesting an option with intermediate transparency.
A big thank you to th3w1zard1 and Cortisol for their time and effort spent upgrading HoloPatcher to be able to compile all of the scripts in this mod.
Vanilla scripts are based on the K1CP team's repository of unaltered, decompiled vanilla scripts (found at https://github.com/KOTORCommunityPatches/Vanilla_KOTOR_Script_Source). This mod makes use of the script function CP_RemoveForceSpeed developed by the K1CP team.
The K1R-compatible version of k_pman_airlock11.ncs/nss includes edits originally developed by the K1R team.  Similarly, the K1CP-compatible version of k_pman_starmap02.nss includes edits developed by the K1CP team.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    VERSION HISTORY
    1.0 - Initial Release
1.1 - Added option to install only the diving suits (suggested by Nehua).
1.2 - Added option to reduce the spacesuit faceplate's transparency (suggested by Salk).
        - Applied spacesuit environment map with a TXI file instead of a full TPC to improve compatibility
with mods that reskin or upscale the original texture (also suggested by Salk).
1.3 - Added work-around for the Star Map to render properly when seen through the diving suit faceplate
        - Revised suit bubbles to more closely match vanilla behavior
        - Revised inner suit geometry around neck
        - Adjusted head motion during walking and running animations
        - Added code to Manaan airlock scripts to clear Force Speed before going out to the seafloor
(vanilla issue originally documented by the K1CP team)
        - Streamlined the K1R installation process
        - Switched installer to HoloPatcher to improve cross-platform installability.  Special thanks to th3w1zard1
and Cortisol for their substantial efforts to improve HoloPatcher's script compiling ability.
1.3.1 - Fixed a game-breaking bug with the K1CP 1.10 compatible version where the Star Map global variables
did not update after opening the Manaan Star Map.  Thank you to Romin for tracing the issue to this mod.

This mod will make Mission Vao a playable head at the game's start. It does not use the original head, but uses a Twi'lek head as the base to resemble her using parts of the original texture. This mod includes Sith Eyes and tattoos as you transition to the dark side. There are also custom portraits to reflect the head's transitions. Enjoy!

  9. Juhani Romance Enhancement

As you might know or not, there is a romance with Juhani available for female characters in K1. The problem with that is, that it has no real closure and what little it has, is easily skipped in the heat of the final part of the game. This mod aims to fix that by doing two things: First of all, the final conversation is now triggered automatically if available in order not to get lost. Secondly, it now includes a kiss, similar to the one in the Bastila Romance Enhancement (actually, I used the same animations).

Here's a video of what this cutscene looks like:

    Installation:
Simply let TSL Patcher do its magic. It should find your KotOR installation automatically. If it doesn't and you have to select it manually, choose the folder that includes swkotor.exe. Do NOT delete the backup folder that is created during the installation, you'll need it if you ever want to uninstall this mod.
For modders: I included the source scripts in the download in case you're interested. Ignore them if you only want to install and play the mod.

    Uninstallation:
Delete jre_dialog.dlg, jre_intro.ncs, jre_kiss.ncs, jre_trigger.ncs and jre_trigger.utt from your Override folder. Then find the backup of unk_m44ac.mod created during the installation of this mod (it is located in the backup folder that was created in the folder where you ran TSLPatcher.exe) and copy it into the Modules folder of your KotOR installation, replacing the one already there. Note however, that this might screw up other mods that modified the same file and were installed afterwards!

    Compabilitiy:
Thanks to TSLPatcher this mod is compatible pretty much everything. (The only incompability I can think of would be another mods that adds cameras with the same IDs but that's pretty unlikely.)

  10. TOR Ports: Pureblood Sith Female Player Head for K1

This mod adds a Pureblood Sith head and underwear model from The Old Republic MMO, ported to K1 as a selectable player head for female characters.
    A few notes:
A unique underwear model is included, but because of the different way TOR and KOTOR mate heads to bodies, I had to add a neck stump to the torso to elevate the head to the right height. That makes for a pretty nasty transition at the seam line, but it should mostly only be visible in dialogue. Try not to have too many conversations while naked I guess. By default, the underwear is a sports bra and panties. For those wanting something a little more chaste, there’s an alternative modesty patch that provides a pair of shorts/hot pants instead. After running this installer, simply copy and paste the TPCs from the OPTIONAL folder to your Override folder, overwriting when prompted. Odyssey’s lack of proper specularity, much less the advanced (by comparison) graphical features of TOR, means you should expect that the textures will look pretty flat in KOTOR compared to how the originals look in TOR. KOTOR has a maximum bone limit per mesh of 17. This creates a problem for TOR meshes, as adding the eyelids to the face bone array pushes that to 18. I had to drop 2 bones to make it work. I chose the two nose corner bones, as they seemed the least important. I don't know what effect this may have on various facial animations, but probably nothing significant for mute player characters. Differences between how TOR and KOTOR handle animations mean that some of the bone weights are probably too strong, so expect some bad deformation occasionally. Especially when the game uses stunt animations in certain cutscenes. An example of this is the opening cutscene on the Endar Spire, where the eyelashes and eyebrows get a bit carried away. If you notice anything particularly egregious, post a comment with some notes of the specifics and a screenshot/video and I'll see if it can be mitigated. Dark Side transitions are included, but they are relatively mild. I'm not a big fan of the zombie look. Acknowledgements:

  11. KotOR1 T3-M4 Voice Module Upgrade

Here's a new KotOR1 mod of mine.  You’ll probably hate it!

    KotOR1 T3-M4 Voice Module Upgrade

    MOD AUTHOR: Sith Holocron
    ORIGINAL RELEASE: 28 MAY 2023

FOR WHAT GAME: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 1

    Description:

T3—M4 will sound a little more like his KotOR2 incarnation with this mod. Hopefully. This mod doesn’t touch the command/combat barks.  It’s just the files that cover his (it’s?) conversations in dialogues.
Just so you know, the barks are the same between both games.  (The only thing different are the file names!)

    Installation:

    1) Follow this path in your KotOR2 install and trace the route of the following….
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic > streamwaves >

    2) In that streamwaves folder, find the following files and move them to your desktop (which will enable you to reinstall the original sounds if you don’t like what’s in this mod):
    n_gendro_coms1.wav
    n_gendro_coms2.wav
    n_gendro_coms3.wav
    n_gendro_haps1.wav
    n_gendro_ques1.wav
    n_gendro_sads1.wav

    3) Place the following files from my mod into the streamwaves folder:
    n_gendro_coms1.wav
    n_gendro_coms2.wav
    n_gendro_coms3.wav
    n_gendro_haps1.wav
    n_gendro_ques1.wav
    n_gendro_sads1.wav

    4) You might note that there are other files with different names that are also present in my mod folder. These were meant as alternate sounds so users could switch them out if they please.  But the primary reason for being was so they could have been used by modders to add extra voice samples that they could direct to in their dialogues. Oh well. You can ignore these files:
    n_gendro_coms4.wav
    n_gendro_coms5.wav
    n_gendro_haps2.wav
    n_gendro_haps3.wav
    n_gendro_ques2.wav
    n_gendro_ques3.wav
    n_gendro_sads2.wav
    n_gendro_sads3.wav

    To Uninstall:

Take the files that you put in step 2 of the install back out again. Return the files of the same name that you placed on your desktop back into the streamwaves folder.

    Known Bugs:

    None known at this time.
    Special Thanks:
To JCarter426: For pointing out exactly where I could find the original sound files that were replaced with my mod.
To Leilukin: For walking me through SithCodec. (Let’s hope I got it right!)

  12. Broken Bottle for KotOR

Long, long ago, I made a mod called "Broken Bottle" for TSL. This is the very, very delayed K1 version.

    Darth Insidious' Broken Bottle
    ------------------------------

    Description:
    ------------

    Bludgeoning Damage Bonus +2
On Hit Attribute Damage Constitution DC10
    Attack Penalty -1
    Attribute Penalty Dexterity -10
    Decreased Skill Modifier Awareness -2
    Reduced Saving Throws Reflex -4

The weapon has been equipped to the drunks in the Taris Upper City. To get in game type "di_bottle1" into the console, without the quotes.

A crude weapon, for a more uncivilised age, the broken bottle has been the prize weapon of drunks throughout the galaxy for millennia.

The preferred weapon of the Pot-Iid Monks, who practice the ancient martial art of Drun-K'fu,
in the right hands it can be a devastating weapon.

    Installation:
    -------------
Place all the files in the archive except this file into the Override folder in your SWKotOR folder.

    Uninstallation:
    ---------------
    Remove the aforementioned files.

  15. Crossguard Lightsabers

A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC MODIFICATION

    Crossguard Lightsabers

    By Sithspecter

    Description:

You've probably seen The Force Awakens at this point, and Kylo Ren's unique lightsaber as well. The saber features crossguard blades that serve a defensive purpose as well as venting extra heat. Now, you can play through Knights of the Old Republic wielding crossguard lightsabers as your own! This mod adds crossguard lightsabers complete with animations, plus Kylo Ren's lightsaber, to Knights of the Old Republic.

Each of the regular crossguard lightsabers is completely upgradeable. Kylo Ren's lightsaber is not upgradeable, but features animated blade textures to give it the unstable plasma look as seen the The Force Awakens.

    Use:

Due to the unique way that Knights of the Old Republic handles lightsabers, to make the lightsabers upgradeable, this mod adds an emitter item which can be bonded with any of the default lightsaber color crystals in the game. Once you have an emitter and a lightsaber color crystal, talk to T3 who can bond them together to give you the new crystal bonded to the emitter. Simply install the new bonded crystal in a single-bladed regular lightsaber, and you now have a Crossguard Lightsaber! The bonded crystals can also be used in double-bladed or short lightsabers, however, they will still be the default double-bladed and short bladed lightsabers. If you want to remove a crystal from an emitter, talk to T3 once more and he will separate the two item.

You can get crossguard lightsabers in the following locations:

Dantooine: Blue crossguard lightsaber on Nemo's body
Kashyyyk: Jolee now comes equipped with a violet crossguard lightsaber
Korriban: Sith lightsaber located in Naga Sadow's tomb has been changed to Kylo Ren's lightsaber, emitter in Marka Ragnos's tomb
Tatooine: Emitter in Kraayt Dragon cave
Unknown World: Emitter on The One's body
Yavin Station: Suvam Tam will sell you 2 emitters (1 in each of his 2nd and 3rd inventory iterations, available after Leviathan)

    Cheats:

g_i_crossguard - Emitter which can be bonded with any color crystal in the default game

g_w_lghtsbr09 - Blue crossguard lightsaber (upgradeable)
g_w_lghtsbr10 - Red crossguard lightsaber (upgradeable)
g_w_lghtsbr11 - Green crossguard lightsaber (upgradeable)
g_w_lghtsbr12 - Yellow crossguard lightsaber (upgradeable)
g_w_lghtsbr13 - Violet crossguard lightsaber (upgradeable)
g1_w_lghtsbr03 - Heart of the Guardian crossguard lightsaber (upgradeable)
g1_w_lghtsbr04 - Mantle of the Force crossguard lightsaber (upgradeable)

    g_w_kylosaber - Kylo Ren's lightsaber

    Installation:

    1. Copy all the files in the Override folder of this .zip into your Knights of the Old Republic Override Folder
    2. Profit

    INCOMPATIBILITY:

DUE TO THE UNIQUE WAY THAT THIS MOD IS SET UP, IT IS LIKELY INCOMPATIBLE WITH MODS THAT HAVE A UPCRYSTALS.2DA OR MODIFY UPCRYSTALS.2DA. THIS MEANS THAT MOST LIGHTSABER MODS WILL BE INCOMPATIBLE. IF YOU USE THIS MOD AND OTHER LIGHTSABER MODS AND HAVE PROBLEMS, UNINSTALL BOTH MODS AND REINSTALL THIS MOD.

    Bugs:

Due to limitations with current KotOR modding tools, there are a few very minor issues with this mod. The largest issue is that when you enter any module, the crossguard lightsabers will be extended and will not retract after any period of time. If you hit the "flourish" key or unequip and re-equip the crossguard lightsabers, the saber will retract normally until you enter another module. I cannot fix this bug, it is caused by incomplete code in the tools that we have and I do not have the expertise to edit the tool.

    Credit:

Thanks to Fair Strides for helping me troubleshoot the animation issues I was having, essentially writing all the required scripts for me, and for letting me make this mod in spite of my policy of only working on Sleheyron.

Credit goes to Kexikus for the inspiration from your screenshots. They look fantastic so I modeled the screenshots for this mod after your High Definition Skyboxes mod.

Credit goes to Kainzorus Prime for the Prequel Robe Replacement mod seen in the screenshots.
You can download it here: http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/412-kotor-prequel-robe-replacement/

    Permissions:

Do not upload this mod or assets from this mod, modified or not, to other sites without my express permission. I have uploaded this mod to multiple sites and can provide support on those sites.

  16. Genoharadan - Light Side

    Genoharadan - Light Side

    Description:
One of the more exciting subplots in KotOR was the Genoharadan, a secret guild of assassins that your player could join and hunt multiple targets across the galaxy. Sadly, you couldn't complete this quest without accumulating a whole lot of Dark Side Points - until now.

This mod allows you to spare the lives of Vorn Daasraad, Rulan Prolik, Ithorak Guldar and Lorgal (There's an option to let Zuulan go free in the game already so I've not changed anything there). You'll gain Light Side points for letting them live.

Finally, each of the targets you let live will appear during your final battle with Hulas on Tatooine. There you can, if you really want to, kill all of the Genoharadan Overseers at once.

    Installation:
Run the TSLPatcher and select your KotOR game directory.

    Compatibility:
Incompatible with any mod that alters the Genoharadan quests, characters or dialogs.

    Bugs:
Not really a bug but something worth mentioning; if you kill Rulan Prolik on Tatooine he won't transform in to his true form upon death, he'll just die as he is.

No others bugs I can think of. If you come across any, please let me know.

    Sidenotes:
You will need Force Persuade and a high Persuade skill

I had a lot of trouble trying to work out how to save Rulan
and the end result is a bit iffy: to do it you have to converse with one of the tachs that isn't him in disguise and kill it pretending it is.

  17. SWTOR Heads - Customization Pack

This mod requires at least one of these files:
TOR Ports: Jaesa Willsaam Female Player Head for K1 1.0.0
TOR Ports: Meetra Surik AKA Jedi Exile Female Player Head for K1 1.0.0
TOR Ports: Kira Carsen Female Player Head for K1 1.0.0

    Features:
    - This mod Improves head textures from the SWTOR female heads ports by DarthParametric. Faces for each character have now more details and more depth (eyes, skin, lips, hairs).
    - Choice between 4 hair colors (Blond, Dark, Red, White) for each character.
    - HD portraits included for each variant (character/hair color/Jedi/Sith), for a total of 40 custom portraits.

    Installation:
1/ Install at least one of the required mods from the links above.
2/Uncompress my file and open the folder corresponding to your choosen and previously installed SWTOR female character.
3/ Choose your hair color for this character and open the corresponding folder.
4/ Drop or Copy/paste the Override folder in your KOTOR game installation folder. Overwrite when asked.
If you want to use this on your current save game, you can easily change your character and/or hair color by using KSE.

    Compatibility:
Should be compatible with anything. These files overwrite textures from the TOR Ports mods so I suggest reading these mod's description before installation.
For now this mod supports KOTOR 1 versions ONLY (TSL version may come later).

    Thanks to:
    - DarthParametric for the TOR ports mods which I'm enjoying a lot in my game.
    - JCarter426 for the Cloaked Jedi robes I've used on my pics.

  18. Lightsaber and Force Forms

This mod adds 10 lightsaber forms and four force forms to the game, which can be learned at various levels. These can be learned from four holocrons and one new NPC, on Dantooine, Kashyyyk, Korriban and the Unknown World. The player can learn a total of seven forms. They can be activated from the medpac/stims section of the GUI. This mod uses TSLPatcher, and is fully compatible with K1RP. The holocrons and the NPC are fully voiced. Where possible, the stats for the forms imitate those in KotOR II.

Stats for the forms are as follows:

  19. Sith Soldier Texture Restoration

While working on the K1CP I discovered that there are actually three different Sith soldier textures. There's the red and the silver that we're all used to, but there's also a white one that is unused. This restores the white texture into the game. You have the option to either make the standard troopers white and the elite/command troopers silver, or vice-versa.

INSTALL: Run the installer and select either Main OR Alternate.
I recommend installing this AFTER the KOTOR 1 Community Patch and JC's Korriban: Back in Black if you use them.

PERMISSION: I give anyone permission to do whatever the heck they want with this, whether or not they give me credit. (Although credit is always nice, y'know?)

  20. [K1] Temple Main Floor - Missing Lamps Fix

[K1] Temple Main Floor - Missing Lamps Fix

Lights are always nice in a dark places. Though it'd be nicer to know where it came from...

    What Happened?
Inside the Temple Main Floor, there are rooms with source of lights that comes from nowhere. I was terrified... thought at first they're missing the GIT reference for the placeables, appears they're not, as they're not placeables. With second thought, perhaps they're missing their render flag? Again, no lamp meshes with the room model as pointed by DarthParametric. Apparently, they are missing their lamps which caused by missing references for the objects. In essence, the lamp is not part of the room model nor a placeable, instead a reference model called by the room's.

    What Does This Mod Do?
This mod adds the missing reference for the lamps to four of the rooms inside the Temple Main Floor module. Optionally, it can also readjust the facing point of two Rune Covered Pillars inside one of the room, which I think could improve the aesthetics and immersion that's missing from the original setup.
Here's a before-and-after screenshots of what this mod mainly does -
And the optional that readjust the pillars' facing point -

    What Can You Do?
There's always room for improvements; reviews, critiques, comments, suggestions, questions and feedbacks are much appreciated. PM, write them on my feed or leave any on the mod's page as you please. And thank you! for downloading, and using this mod.

    What You Should Do?
For best experience with the game itself, I suggest you to have KOTOR 1 Community Patch installed.

Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

Installation: run the installer and choose INSTALL option, then hit the [Install Mod ->] button!
Uninstallation: remove these files from the Override folder -
m44aa_04a.mdl m44aa_04a.mdx m44aa_05a.mdl m44aa_05a.mdx m44aa_15a.mdl m44aa_15a.mdx m44aa_17a.mdl m44aa_17a.mdx Compatibility: will not be compatible with mods that edits and/or replace the relevant models, also mods that possibly changes the module layouts/LYT
The mod can be installed anytime - anywhere as the game's progress, and will have direct effect instantly
It is play-tested with the latest version of KotOR 1 Restoration/K1R and is compatible with it. At the other hand, it was only by far tested with K1:Community Patch/K1CP v1.7, though assets-wise, there's nothing to be conflicted with the 1.8 version
Redistribution: you can redistribute this mod or re-release it on any websites, just don't claim it as your own. Though I'd love to provide direct support to my work, which wouldn't be possible if they're scattered in the Unknown Regions. Be advised then, most likely I will not provide ones if I don't know where it re-hosted.
If you are to re-use an assets to a project you will be releasing, you don't have to ask for permission - but your generous intention is very much welcome. Inside this mod are resources which can be repurposed for your likings in one condition; please include the unmodified-original sources along with the release of the project. I'd love to know what others are up too, particularly if my work are included.
Said and done, give credits to BioWare & LucasArts with the release - as without them this enjoyment would be non-existent. A bit of appreciation to this peasant here is also a very warm welcome, welcome.

  21. JC's Dense Aliens for K1

There are so-called "lite" alien models that are of lesser quality than most other models in the game. These include the Quarren and Gran species. Both aliens feature more prominently in the sequel and their models were given an overhaul. This mod ports the K2 versions of the models back to K1, improving the quality of models and creating a more consistent aesthetic.

  24. JC's Romance Enhancement: Biromantic Bastila for K1

    Summary
This mod allows those playing as a female character to romance Bastila, an option available only for male player characters in the original release of the game. The female version of the romance will play out just as the male version, through talking to Bastila as your player gains experience and by choosing certain dialogue options. The romance can also be ended just as the male romance can, by choosing or avoiding certain dialogue options.
Lines will still vary depending on the player's gender; for example, Bastila will not call a female player a man, nor compare her to any man.
I have executed this by removing certain lines, or certain parts of lines, that lacked an alternate take for a female player, and in some cases voided the existing female versions in favor of the romance lines. I'm not entirely satisfied with all of these changes - in particular, the male version still has a lot more dialogue, and I don't think that's fair - but my priority was to make everything flow naturally, with minimal editing.
Also, this should not interfere with the Carth or Juhani romances; you should be able to go through those as well Bastila's if you so desire. The game does not take issue with it.
The romance system is surprisingly straightforward, compared to later BioWare games. As such, I may consider adding a bit of complexity in future updates.

    Installation
Extract files from the downloaded archive. Run Install.exe. Click "Install Mod" and select your game directory (default name SWKOTOR). This mod only supports the English language version of the game at this time.

    Uninstallation
Remove the installed files or replace from backups if necessary.
    Compatibility
This mod is compatible with my Pan-Galactic Flirting mod.
    This mod patches the following:
k_hbas_dialog.dlg (Bastila's global dialogue) lev40_saul403.dlg unk44_evilbast.dlg This mod may not be compatible with any other mods that edit those files.
This mod also installs the following new VO:
NGLOBEBAST06951_ NGLOBEBAST06952_ NGLOBEBAST06953_ NGLOBEBAST06954_ NM44ACEVIL01901_ This mod will not be compatible with any mods utilizing those names for WAV or LIP files.
This mod patches the modules lev_m40aa, unk_m44acd, and sta_m45ac and may not be compatible with other mods that affect those areas. TSLPatcher is utilized for better compatibility, but there's never any guarantee. This mod must be installed AFTER any non-TSLPatcher mods that edit those areas.
This mod includes bug fixes for Bastila's romance scripts on the Unknown World and the Star Forge. You should NOT install another mod to fix these problems, as that would override this mod's changes that remove the gender checks.

    • No need to worry, it doesn’t affect the module at all. And Gonk is an NPC, not a placeable. It spawns via a script that fires once Sasha is spawned (or through a dialogue option with her, if loaded on a save where she’s already present). It should be quite compatible.
    • One more question; does this alter the Ebon Hawk interior module at all? I’ve got a few mods that affect it (sleheyron) as there’s an extra companion added. And does Gonk count as a placeable? I’m at my hard limit 🥲
    • Oh I have Partyswap as well, maybe that is my above mentioned conflict I can't figure out?
    • Hello, I would like to use this mod, but it conflicts with PartySwap - both override k_sup_galaxymap.ncs. PartySwap comes with .nss file, so I thought about merging them manually, but for whatever reason yours is not decompiled properly. I will try rebuilding DeNCS later and trying again, maybe something went wrong there, but I thought maybe you can share raw k_sup_galaxymap.nss (M4-78EP and Coruscanr Jedi Temple compatibility version), please? And respective version of k_inc_hawk.nss, if t
    • Sorry for the delay in seeing this.  Would you mind providing a few more details? Which doors gave you problems, the new airlock doors or the original Yavin doors? Did they just not do anything when you clicked on the control terminal, or was the problem something else? What other mods do you have installed?  Anything which also edits Yavin Station?
