  1. Republic Mod Armor Reskin

If the Republic is going to go to the trouble of supplying its troops with modular armor, the least they can do is keep their own military's color scheme.
A Reskin of the Republic Mod Armor's texture, complete with its own icon. Nothing too fancy, but it should do the trick and at least pretends like the Defense 5 armor textures weren't 3 blatant copies with the colors tweaked. I also touched up the pants slightly, because for some reason BioWare was convinced we needed to see female characters' entire asses and that can't be comfortable.

Just unzip and drop the files into your override.
As long as no other armors in your override use Model 4, Texture 10 Light Armor, you're good to go. If they do, just rename the texture number to something not in use, edit the uti the same, and replace the "10" in the icon's file with your number.

Did this for myself earlier to amazing results. Figured i'd put it up here for others to use.

To Install just go to the games local files > streamsounds > Paste
When it asks to replace the file in the destination say yes.

  3. Unique Sith Academy Students

Changes the heads of named Sith Students to not be clones of every one-off NPC in KotOR.
Adrenas and Kel Algwinn now have unique Asian heads based on various PC heads.
Tamlen gets a unique Asian head as well as a name. Just in case you want to chat before you explore the tombs.
Thalia May has a unique head based off PFHB02, and her fellow rebels are now armed with different weapons from each other.
Dak Vesser now has a unique head so that Juhani can truly recognize her former classmate.
Tariga has a unique head based off PMHC02 and his old commoner head.
Galon gets the Black commoner head he had previously, but I've added a beard and changed his eye color to green-yellow. Also he's tired.
Also included is a compatibility patch for my Taris NPC Overhaul to ensure that the slaves on Korriban don't have "Outcast" tattooed on their faces.

The Sand People Chieftain no longer pockets the Krayt Dragon Pearl you show to him, so you can listen to the Storyteller and still use it in a lightsaber.

  5. K1 Armor Nitpicks

    ___________________________________________________________
A bundle of my personal nitpicks to the armory of KOTOR. This compilation aims to rectify duplicates among other miscellaneous stuff (I have not considered GenoHaradan rewards for this effect). All the new textures are supposed to fit in, look like they belong. Hopefully they're up to standard.
~ Calo Nord's Battle Armor uses the PBG02 texture. Fits the color scheme much better in my opinion. In fact, I wonder if this was the intent all along.
~ Powered Battle Armor uses the PBG06 texture. Consistent with K2.
~ Verpine Zal Alloy Mesh uses the PBG05 texture. Consistent with K2.
~ Zabrak Combat Suit uses a new texture. The Echani Fiber Armor should be the recipient of this change really, but it's the iconic go-to armor in Taris for the PC. No longer a duplicate.
~ Zabrak Battle Armor uses a new texture. The Republic Mod Armor would be the target of this change but again, same deal. No longer a duplicate.
~ Mandalorian Assault Armor is no longer a disguise and uses the unused PBH07 texture. I know, I'm evil incarnate. Consistent with K2.
~ Mandalorian Heavy Armor uses a new texture.
~ Jedi Robes and Revan Armor no longer display their erroneous max DEX bonus. Less confusing.
This mod does not fix the many pricing inconsistencies on armor; It does not address the Dark Jedi robes inconsistency; It does not address the Qel-Droma robes (yet).

  6. Mandalorian Jagi

Making its DeadlyStream debut while my other mod ideas are still cooking, but here's a simple change to spice up your KotOR immersion.
This mod does two things, three at most.

    1. Changes Jagi's appearance to a reskinned PMHB03--I tried to give a scarred/burned texture to the head to imply that Jagi did not survive Altheri unscathed.

1.5. Puts Jagi in Mandalorian Battle Armor--he wasn't at Malachor, which means he wasn't there when Revan committed cultural genocide.

    2. Changes the appearance and soundset of Jagi's two thugs from Rodians to Mandalorian Warriors--he said he sent the call out to the surviving clans, so why shouldn't he bring them along?

  7. Persuade Unlocked

    Persuade Unlocked
    by Sdub
    Version:
    1.1

    Description:
This mod is a simple 2da edit that enables all classes to have Persuade as a class skill.

I know there are plenty of mods that unlock EVERYTHING but I guess I prefer to keep the classes with their original flavor. But considering only the PC can use persuade it made no sense to me that a soldier/scout couldn’t be persuasive if they wanted to be.

    Installation:
Run TSLPatcher.exe and locate your swkotor folder

    Uninstallation:
Delete skills.2da or replace with a backup

    Compatibility:
This mod should be compatible with all mods except ones that could edit skills.2da

    K1R Compatible:
    Yes

    Tools Used:
    TSL Patcher
    ChangeEdit
    KOTOR Tool

  8. Helpful Items

I created this while trying to find a spawn trigger. A metal cylinder in the droid shop on Tatooine can be bashed open (you would otherwise need very high security skill). It has a beam splitter, an improved energy cell, an energy projector, and Jedi Master robes (two blue, two red). This was to help finish upgrading weapons and to give the player more robe options. Further, if you add all .utp files in this to your Override folder, you will find Ulic Qel Droma’s Mesh Suit if you search the corpses in the Shyrack Caves on Korriban.

  9. Weapon Base Stats Re-balance (K1)

In KotOR 1 there is an obvious balancing issue concerning weapons that is especially noticeable in the early game, ie: Taris. What is it? Ranged Weapons are utterly outclassed by melee weapons. Yes, i know a stun stick isn't more powerful than a heavy repeater but I'm addressing the general problem here - In almost all situations you'll be better off charging at an enemy using your vibroblade instead of firing a blaster rifle, even when it seems like using a blaster would be the best option. The developers at Obsidian noticed this and in KotOR 2 blasters are now a viable option as well.

So this mod changes the base stats of ranged weapons (damage, criticals etc.) to be like the ones on K2. But that's not all - I've also modified the lightsabers as well. Basically, ranged weapons and lightsabers will be statistically equal to their K2 counterparts; except for some weaponry damage values that i've kept unaltered purposely - It doesn't make sense that, for example, a disruptor and an ion pistol would do the same damage against an organic target.

    So following that:

Blaster Pistols now do 1-8 damage instead of 1-6; Disruptors' critical threat range is now 18-20x2 instead of 20-20x2; Ion blasters' critical multiplier is now x3 instead of x2; Regular lightsabers now deal 2-20 damage instead of 2-16 etc...

  11. NPC Alignment Fix

This modification alters the alignment of various npcs to match their allegiance and characteristics, since in KotOR BioWare left everything neutrally aligned with few exceptions. Through this, "vs. alignment group" properties now have more opportunities to take effect as they should.
Unlike in the sequel there's no Force Sight so I didn't get too fancy - it's mostly just set values all across the board to ensure everyone is firmly sitting in their respective sides. No longer will the game regard Darth Bandon as this misunderstood Grey individual, but instead as the smug good-for-nothing slimebag we all know him to be.
    _____________________________
    What will this change, really?
In terms of combat, the Solari crystal will work fully against every Dark Jedi (and more) you come across. Of course they now have a different fp usage dynamic as you would expect so it more or less balances itself out.
    What if I'm Dark-Sided?
The Mantle of the Force crystal can remove your lightsaber's light-side restrictions. Also don't forget, mods that add items with bonuses versus alignments will benefit from these changes too, so you don't need to limit yourself only to what exists in the base game!
    Compatibility...
As long as you install this mod last there really shouldn't be any issues other than different mods hard overwriting my changes, in which case they will take no effect, but nothing too serious. Due to the number of files this mod entails, it is very likely that any other mods that edit .utc files via override will coincide with the ones my modification references.

  12. Darth Bastila Sith Eyes

Darth Bastila Sith Eyes Head Mod
    By Cytaris
Orignal Mod by Quanon and Dark Hope
    Orginal Eyes by Circa

This is a reskin of the head portion of this mod: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/978-bastila-shan-hd-by-quanon-and-dark-hopa/
All it does is take the HD skin and reskin the eyes to be sith eye's like Anakins from Revenge of the Sith.
I would recommend it be used on top of it.
SPOILERS: You could optionally wait to install it until Bastila is taken so that she will only have Sith Eye's as a Sith.
A reskin of Bastila's Head only. Dark Hope & Quanon made the original. Circa Made the original eyes, Bioware of course also deserves credit for the creation of the original skin. The Txi came from the original mod and was made by dark hope or quanon who have given me permission to use their work in this minor mod.
    Installation:
Put P_BastilaH04 & the txi file in override folder of KOTOR 1

  14. Animated Placeables Pack (KotOR 1)

    INTRODUCTION
Working in another MOD i realized the little attention paid at small and most of times unnoticed things that I think could have a bit more life in the KotOR universe. So simple as improve lights and buttons of panels and such and animate them.
The pack is not complete yet and do not cover all the things you can find along KotOR. That means that in the future I could make bigger the pack adding new elements or new improvements.
    -------------------------------------------------------
    NOTE ABOUT THIS MOD
If we think in any current estandar graphics anyone can think that the new aspect could be extracted from "Doom" (the First, not the Second ) but keeping in mind that the work is made with the Paint app of the WinXP and if we compare it with the originals ones... well, it's not so bad.
    -------------------------------------------------------
    The elements included are:
    MISCELLANY
    - Computer Panel (on floor)(Improved over 0.9.0 version) with four versions, BLUE, ORANGE/BROWN, GREEN and RED (sadly only can be used one at the time)
    - (NEW) Animated Panel when a Computer is used, making it similar to the on floor Computer Panel Placeable.
    - Computer Panel (wall)(Improved over 0.9.0 version)
The Wall Computer Panel shares its texture with the Power Conduits and with the Info Panels. That's why I haven't modified it too much for not find weird lights or weird buttons in weird places of the three Placeables, but now you have three animated elements for the price of one.
    - Desk
    - Workbenches
              - Orange (Improved over 0.9.0 version)
              - (NEW) Blue
    - Foot locker (Now animated)
    -  Locker (Now animated)
    ENDAR SPIRE
    - Broken Door (Improved over 0.9.0 version)
    - (NEW) Normal Door
    - (NEW) Buton Panels and Screens
    TARIS (NEW)
    - Doors
               - Apartments, Upper Taris
               - Upper City, Hidden Bek Base
               - Entry Sith Military Base
               - Sewers
               - Vulkar Base
               - Sith Base
               - Davick's State
    - Kiosk
    - Wall Panels and Screens
    - Shop Sign
    - Kolto Tank
    - Monitor Screens (around Taris)
    - Vulkar Base Panels
    - Sith Military Base
              - Screen Monitors
              - Red Light
              - Panels and Buton
    - Crate
    DANTOOINE (NEW)
    - Doors
               - Jedi Enclave
               - Matale & Sandrale Exterior
               - Sandrale State, inside
    - Sandrale State
              - Small Screens
    YAVIN (NEW)
    - Circular Door
    - Main Panel, Lights and Screens
    -------------------------------------------------------
    INSTALLATION
Unzip the downloaded file. Each element has its own folder. Just copy/paste (or drag and drop) the files from the desired folder(s)/element(s) to your  'KotOR\Override' folder.
The files of the "After and Before" folders are not needed, they're only for to show the results.
    UNINSTALL
Simply remove the files from your Override folder.
    -------------------------------------------------------
    BUGS
If you are able to find one I invite the next round. It's just a change in the textures. I've run and re run all the Endar Spire and the Taris Appartment lots of times with these files and found nothing, even the ones that are involved in the Plot as the Footlocker at the start of Kotor, the Computer Panel that permit kill Siths in the next room or the Workbench in the Taris Appartment.
The only one thing I think that could occur is that you find any of these textures in other Placeables/Locations that I haven't noticed by the time and share the same texture files (I've seen that in other MODs).
If the result is "fine", nothing, go ahead (although I'd appreciate a warning via post or PM). If the result is weird or bad is obliged the warning so I can correct it asap.
This is not really a bug but KotOR has its own way for to show images and textures. I've noticed that most of times just cut, invert, compress, wide, tight the same images (files), I guess for get more variety without too much work, this can result in some weird -or not too much fine- vision of some elements. It's very dificult -if not impossible- find a balance for get a fine vision of all the images in all the places that are located/used and is very noticeable when is used any text. I hope not everybody knows read aurebesh...

  15. Specific Traits: A Fun Immersion Mod

    SPECIFIC TRAITS MOD
The definition of a "because I can" mod. Also cos sometimes you just need to spice up your gameplay a little.
Gives certain non-human companions and adversaries a vulnerability and strength based on their biology/build.
Juhani: vulnerable to sonic weaponry, increased reflex saving throw
Zaalbar/Wookiees: vulnerable to fire, resistant to bludgeoning
Mission/Twi'leks: vulnerable to cold, resistant to electricity
All Droids (except Rakata-built): vulnerable to electricity, resistant to bludgeoning/slashing
There have also been minor tweaks to NPCs aimed at immersion: namely, twi'leks have had their models changed where possible to under-used colors, and Xor's thugs while still planet-dependent are human rather than alien. Don't have screens of those though, because if I've done my job right you won't notice it.

  17. (KotOR 1) Speeders "Kitt" style

    INTRODUCTION
At first I just wanted improve the aspect of the dashboard of the Bikes and Speeders. Working with the project I saw an ideal place in the image and thought that It'd be funny add a singular feature to the Speeders that recalls one of the most known cars seen in TV. Here it is.
    NOTE:
There is still another image file (the same image that the Swoop in the Ebon Hawk but with a different file name) that I haven't modified yet and I don't know where is found. The ones modified here are the seen for the first time in Taris and Dantooine. (BTW, the "junk" bikes are not modified, it's just ...junk).

  24. KotOR High Resolution Menus

Bubbling up from the font of dark knowledge, ndix UR presents KotOR High Resolution Menus, a UI mod package providing full high resolution menu and UI support for Knights of the Old Republic. The tyrrany of 640x480 menus and 6-item lists is over.
Normally, when you increase the game's resolution using a widescreen patcher like UniWS, the menus stay very small in the middle of the screen and the borders get larger. This package is designed to be used *after* the widescreen patcher has done its work. It scales the menu screens up so that they fill the screen.
This package requires modification of the swkotor.exe file using a supplied patcher, and is only known to work with GoG, 4-CD, and macOS (x86) versions of the game. It should be compatible with any Steam version that uses UniWS.
The main content of the package are sets of GUI files (.gui), scaled for specific resolutions. The package contains GUI files for over 30 common resolutions with the following aspect ratios: 4:3, 16:10, 16:9, 21:9, and 32:9. Here is a list of the currently supported resolutions:

    Installation
Find the gui.WxH folder matching your resolution, modify your executable using the supplied patcher, copy the GUI files to your Override/ folder.
The details for this process can be found in the package README.pdf file. Read it. Follow the instructions therein. The documentation includes everything you need to know to manually patch your EXE if the patcher does not work for your version.

    Uninstallation
Remove the GUI files, restore the original backed up version of your swkotor.exe file.

    IMPORTANT NOTES:
This is not a resolution hack or widescreen patch, such as you get from using UniWS. You should already be successfully running the game at the resolution you are trying to get menus and UI for. Nothing in this package will give you any additional resolutions available. That is not what this does. If you are trying to get high-res menus for one of the resolutions supported by default (800x600, 1024x768, etc.) there is probably no point to using the GUI files named 'mipc*' provided by this package (mostly the in-game "HUD"), however, this scenario is untested. There are a few of the GUI files in this package you can use without modifying your executable. Here is that 'safe' list, in case you are unable to modify your executable: It gets you the main menu, some dialogs, and the in-game HUD elements.

    Thanks
DarthParametric for testing, contributing a double-clickable thing for Windows users, and prompting me to finally figure out the needed EXE modifications.
tk102 for GFF2XML and XML2GFF source code, which made it a lot easier to get this up and running.

    Known Issues
The patcher is currently incredibly limited, making no effort to search for values, only looking at specific locations where they are in the executables I have access to. This package does not contain any higher resolution artwork. At high resolutions, menu backgrounds will be blocky, and the striped list backgrounds are unlikely to line up with list items. For numerous reasons, you will want to get a high resolution menu art package. The game's initial character selection screen does not lay out the selectable characters properly according to GUI file field values. It is useable, but not perfect. The blue hilight borders had to be removed from around the characters to maintain a clean look. The map screen is scaled up, but the map itself is not. Furthermore, the position of the map within the frame is somewhat random/poorly understood. The map, however, is completely useable, and the points of interest and player indicator are all positioned accurately relative to the map. Some of the 3D models in menus, such as on the character stats or character generation screens, display line artifacts over them. This is caused by the very low quality graphics being scaled up to provide the border overlays. Extracting the graphics as TGAs, scaling them up, and placing them into Override/ sometimes solves these problems. This package omits statussummary.gui and dialog.gui. Scaling them up cause problems. The files don't behave as expected, and it seems to not require a customized version in order for them to work as one would want. You might notice 1280x1080 in 21:9 even though it is not 21:9. It is for split-screen on 21:9 monitors. Rescaling the dialog/cut-scene letterbox (which is optional) seems to introduce occasional issues with letterbox placement, particularly when the letterbox animation happens. This may be fixed at some point in the future. There is no scaling on font size, and as far as I know no one has figured out how to do it, so users on TV/couch setups may not find the help they are looking for with this.
    Upgrading
    1.4 to 1.5:
If your resolution was not previously supported, copy new .gui files to your Override/ Upgrading

    1.2 to 1.3:
Copy all the .gui files to your Override/ Upgrading
    1.1 to 1.2:
Repeat the EXE patching process on a backup EXE if you want letterbox scaling Upgrading
