Put order files, like the first file in up is named ,,Joelle'' and the other file named ,,Jolle2'' so file named Jolle2 can't be first because it may cause bugs i think. True about steam workshop, but if you don't read my installation instructions, DON'T install from workshop first, it has same bugs as yours, you are locked in Tomb of freedon nath, to have working this mod install this mod from deadly stream except streamvoices and then install from workshop, you should have it working now i think. Someone actually made installation instruction for this mod in Nexus Mods after mod was published in other websites for some reason. And if you don't know than Install it WITHOUT MODS, even TLRSCM Hope it helps

@itzsethgamer If it isn't letting you install, it means it isn't detecting your TSLRCM installation. Are you using the Steam Workshop version of TSLRCM? If so, it's not recommended to install other mods (read here) and I don't recommend installing the non-RCM version either. If you want to use this mod alongside TSLRCM, do a fresh install of the game and use the TSLRCM version from Deadlystream.

As you have suspected, there is no clean solution to swap this mod from the default installation to the PartySwap compatible installation, so a complete and clean re-installation of the game and the mods you want to use is your only option. This is exactly because the two installations modify a lot of the same files with the same dialogue, but there are also differences in exactly how the two installation options modify the dialogue, so installing them together will likely mess up the dialogue cutscenes and cause game-breaking issues. There is a reason this mod has two different installation options depending on if you have installed the PartySwap mod or not, and I explicitly intructed in the mod's download page and README file that you can only choose ONE of the two installation options. If you play KotOR 2 game on a platform like Steam or GOG, you don't need a backup of the original installation just to do a clean reinstall, since you can just uninstall the game, delete the mod folder, then download the game to reinstall the game from scratch.

To clarify what I mean here I said that Darth Nihilus in my weird head-canon/fanfic was originally Mandalore the Ultimate BEFORE he became Darth Nihilus, the leader of the Mandos that started the Mandalorian Wars, and I am trying to apply logic to that. As for your idea though, I always wondered if Nihilus can and have lived on in his mask and possess people like Momin, (the Sith you mentioned), from the New Canon, or if there is something else going on. There is a Tabletop book called "Unknown Regions" and one of its mini-adventures is called the "Mask of Darth Nihilus". In that mini-adventure, it has interesting lore bits on Nihilus's mask, but it doesn't seem like he outright possesses people, at least from what I have gotten from it, but who knows. Regardless though, this is a headcanon and theory thread so talking about what seems "official" or not is irrelvant to the topic of the post, (especially since Mandalore the Ultimate is for sure not Nihilus in the real KOTOR lore but he is in one of my fanfic/headcanon idea story).

How hard would it be to swap this mod from the default installation to the party swap version? Now that there's a patch that would allow me to have disciple without having to use an item to get handmaiden to join the party, that mod is intriguing. I imagine that installing the party swap mod on top of it and then the party swap version of this one would largely edit the same dialogue lines, but I wouldn't want it doing something like adding additional dialogue lines twice or leaving bogus script params and potentially breaking everything. I don't have backups from the original installation, so undoing and redoing is unfortunately not a viable option. So if there isn't a clean solution, I can just live without having disciple - but I figured you may know if doing that update is possible.

Put what in order ? No because the Steam Workshop is broken and does NOT know how KOTOR modding works, which is why the community has created tools such as TSLPatcher and HoloPatcher. This being said, next time I try, I think I'll get the Workshop version since apparently it's the updated version and there's no need for compatibility for this particular mod as it's a total conversion one. Hopefully I'll be unstuck. At any rate, a big expansion mod with game breaking bugs (and no installation instructions), IMHO, needs to be fixed before it is published (and in this case it seems that the creator isn't working on it anymore, ig the mod is too old lol), which is why I didn't bother trying hard to get it working.

I don't know if you have played the Fable games, but Jack of Blades in that franchise is kind of a demonic entity that inhabits a mask and can take over the host when worn. I have always liked the idea that Darth Nihilus became like that, his hunger so great it eroded his physical form and that his spirit attached to the mask. In the new canon, there is a Sith who is also attached to a mask, so this is a way we could get Nihilus back.

I no longer have a windows development environment but I'll try to take a look. Might give me an excuse to see if I can run win10/11 or something in virtualbox. Thank you for posting a solution for others.

I just changed the utc inside of the mod file to use the Harra appearance instead of the default one and interestingly, it worked fine for a save where he was already there. I'm not sure why that would be - maybe because he isn't actually present in the git file? Either way, assuming that's all you did in your update it should work mid-save fwiw.

Calo must've had a few too many drinks on the ride down here cuz he did NOT have a good time in my force whirlwind.

Better late than never, but I executed your idea into a working mod! Thank you for such a thoughtful idea. You can find it here.

Yeah, I'll have to do that. Because it's been getting to me while not being able to play for the last couple days due to this. Not to mention being worried about wearing on you guys here. >_< Edit: It's now been multiple times where I had the patcher get an error, I then reinstalled my backup of the "same" launcher file, and suddenly the patcher worked (even if it didn't fix the Handmaiden issue). I'm really wondering if some outside source, the OS or something else, could be modifying KOTOR 2's files without me being able to see it.

@NovaPolaris At this point, I would suggest you just install the PartySwap item add-on so you can still add Handmaiden to your party after recruiting Disciple. Even if your eventual issue with the Full Party Select patch is eventually sorted out, it should not cause issues to using the PartySwap item,

Yeah, I don't understand either. I tried zeroing it on the D drive, installing on C, going through the steps to install it properly... still happening on C. Still wondering if Windows settings/functions could be involved, or if something's baked into my save data. (Even when using a save from before recruiting Disciple.)

I really am not sure at this point. Try installing KOTOR2 onto your C:\ drive, make sure the folder is zeroed, nothing left in there. steam uninstall will leave things in there normally. (Backup your saves)

I didn't account for that! Thank you! o_o ...However, the same issue is happening. And just for good measure when it didn't work after following what you said, I did a clean reinstall of the game and mods, and THEN tried it. Same result. I don't get it at all. I'm so sorry for the trouble. ,_, What else could affect this? I was recently forced to use Windows 11 after a PC repair. Despite everything I did to clean that up, there's probably still stuff left that could affect things for all I know.

Editing the Imperial Knight Armor Mod with GIMP
redrebelzero replied to redrebelzero's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
I attempted that. my problem was no matter how i colored the texture, whether it was paint, bucket fill, or cloning, etc. then texture still came out mismatched. I even tried adjusting the saturation, color temperature, using the foreground tool to try to isolate the symbol and remove it, free selecting the logo and deleting it outright. Im stuck.
