Thanks man, a high praise coming from you. In this case I have great respect to your work too; particularly the Tool Bag and Improved Grenades which I can't not have them installed- an essential part of the journey. Appreciate it, thanks for letting me know of your thoughts; and it is always a pleasure for me also to understand where I came from. As without others fruits of labor, none of my works comes to fruition. Thanks! Very much appreciated. and hey! Looking forwards to your new release, jc2! It's been a while isn't it. 😁

Yes! Looking very forwards to your mods! Glad to hear that. Anyway, as it seems that you're not too far away from a restart lol; here's the patcher version with helps from @DarthParametric's "Mira Player Head for K1" change.ini as the guiding hands: I strongly suggest you to restart the game and use the patcher version as it guaranteed 100% compatibility either with the original game or any other mods. Enjoy! Edit: The drag-and-drop version which you have had installed had an issue with DS appearance, as Handmaiden's DS face will not shown and instead it shows the vanilla PFHC04 messed-UV face. Edit2: And it's a good thing to remove these files [that was included with the drag-and-drop version] from the 'Override' folder just before/after using the patcher version: pfhc04 MDL and MDX PO_pfhc4 PO_PFHC4d PO_PFHC4d1 PO_PFHC4d2 PO_PFHC4d3 They'd be unused and potentially game-breaking. Update: The release version can now be downloaded here: Hope you enjoy the mod as much as I do!

Well, I don't know what's causing that either, lol! Seriously, I thought it was because the game is not installed, because that was what appeared to me when TSL is not installed. Let me know if the ported head working or not, I'm trying to build the patcher version for a while.
-
Hmm, it seems KotOR 2 is currently not installed on your end looking by the sightings. You should have TSL installed to extract its game files. 😁 Anyway, while waiting for you to install TSL; here's the ported Handmaiden's head, but at its current state it will replace the default PFHC04 in exchange. There is a method to add a new line of its appearance using TSLPatcher but I think I'll try to cover that later: Edit: You can drop all the files to the 'Override' folder. I assume it will not replace the default PFHC04 texture installed on your end because I'm using a custom header for Handmaiden's head texture. I have tested it until the intersection before the Endar Spire's Jedi vs Dark Jedi encounter and didn't seem to saw any trouble with it. Hope it works the same for you. Edit2: @KohlKatarn, try to redownload the attachment- with the former there is an issue with Handmaiden's appearance as I have her LS and DS head switched. Apologize for the inconvenience.

I believe that should be no problem at all. You can shut it off the next time you open the tool by accessing Tools\Options\Other\Uncheck the "Download updates automatically" tab. Update: @KohlKatarn, here's the vanilla supermodels extracted from K1 game files to make things less laborious: K1Supermodels_Vanilla.7z

Thank you for the words of wisdom, Master! I have them revised now; so in the future they will not point to the wrong path. 🙏

Hi, KohlKatarn! This discussion is more than adequate to guide us through the porting attempt. All you need is to prepare the required tools which they are: Fred Tetra's "KotORTool" bead-v's "MDLedit" Chuck Chargin Jr./ndix UR's "MDLOps" KotOR/K1 All Supermodel extracted in one folder [S_Male01/02 - S_Female01/02/03 MDL-MDX; just to make sure], which they can be found using the KotORTool by accessing Kotor 1\BIFs\models.bif\Aurora Model for the MDL -> Aurora Model Extension for the MDX Let us know of particular details that you think will need an assistance on your attempt. Have a nice day/evening too!

Thanks! Appreciated. Some cool stuffs yet to be found in regards to the updated porting policy. 😁

[Updated to v1.1.0: October 27, 2018] So, what's new in v1.1.0? Added an additional transparent version for the monitor The transparent version will have its Cubemaps removed as a result of using the alpha for translucency, so there will be no glowing parts with it With the transparent version, some meshes will become invisible behind the monitor only IF looking at the monitor using the first look camera. One instance is the moving ships seen through the windows of Citadel Station. I have tried with changing either the semantic used in the TXI or altered the alpha-blend value but still can't get rid of the issue.

(SPOILERS) Solo: A Star Wars Story Discussion Thread (SPOILERS)
ebmar replied to milestails's topic in Star Wars
Yup, me too. It was always excites me when most of characters in an act brought-up the story with an amazing rendition; and they did just that with Solo. I did really-really enjoyed the movie. The best out of last 4 in my opinion. At the first 30 minutes I was kind of skeptical with the new Solo guy. But later until the rest of the movie, I did enjoy his role as much as he does. Also, I found Solo the most enjoyable cinema that came out this year. Simply 8.5/10 -
Me after watching:
TFA - Nuff said. Kylo and Rey- they must be siblings!
TLJ - So they were not then.
RO - Now that was cool.
Solo - Hands down the best out of the last 4.
-
I sure hope they're not siblings considering the blatant sexual tension between them in TLJ... yikes. Unless George Lucas is writing again...

Many thanks to: This instructive topic Fred Tetra's "KotORTool" bead-v's "MDLedit" Chuck Chargin Jr./ndix UR's "MDLOps" JCarter426's "JC's Cloaked Jedi Robes & Supermodel Port for K1 - Supermodels" stoffe/Fair Strides' "TSLPatcher" and DarthParametric's past-present modding knowledge , My first ever porting attempt went a success! I remembered back then; the very first thing I wanted to do with modding is on doing this, which ends-up me going nowhere with the attempt lol. So, although I'm not actually "create" one, it is always a pleasing feeling to see an effort comes to fruition. Again, credits to the aforementioned folks; as only because of their effort, the dream isn't just a dream. May the Force be with you all!

What Did You Think of Star Wars: Rogue One?: MASSIVE SPOILERS
ebmar replied to VarsityPuppet's topic in Star Wars
Have finished watching Rogue One not long ago. I watched it in particular order after TFA and TLJ the earlier. I like this movie, especially after the fact that TFA and TLJ did not brought the balance between action, thriller, comedy and drama which I seek while watching them, at least could be found in RO. Lately I have found myself admiring Star Wars' SFXs, env/lightmapping, control panels and monitor stuffs, and Rogue One had good answers to that. The only issue I have with RO, and pretty much the same with TFA [TLJ somewhat better in my perspective- not until Rose saving Finn on the snow field lol], is the characterization. The story, landscaping and the CGI was uber-cool, but the characters that tried to brought-up the story just wasn't enough. Maybe this was some kind of post-OT syndrome looking at the characters in OT were most awesome [particularly Han Solo. I almost forgot that Han Solo was actually Harrison Ford lol]! But overall, I like this movie- 7.5/10. Lol I agree with you. But seriously, his presence [either his personality or the acting part which didn't played right- I don't know, could be both] ruins most of the scenes. Those scenes would be much better without Saw in it, the way I see it. -
Amazing. Back at the time when a movie actually was a movie; its documentary/making process is as enjoyable as the movie itself- which is rare to find these days. Edit: The animation and sound production part is just extraordinary. They look like they feeling it instead of counting it on all those cuts. Maybe that's what an art should have been made. Edit2: Never have thought that the snow scene was actually filmed on an actual snow!

Is this an example of horizontal scaling issues you've just mentioned? Awesome! Thanks again for the quick fixes and updates, DP! Here are the results: Yeah, I think I have seen some. At the first glance I thought it was a failure, but after some inspection it does seem intentional. Actually, at the first sight it does looks intentional aesthetically-functionally, but the more being critical looking at it it starts looking like a failure lol- when in fact it's not. Quite have learned the differences between aesthetic gaps with oversight gaps from this hunt-down attempt kind of.

I'm starting to have no respect to those guys at Poem looking by this letter; especially when they start comparing their project with others. Like, where's your pride dude? and to them, everything went downfall from here the way I see it. Good thing that Lucasfilm did not responded, and they should not. It's their right to do so.

Greetings, DarthParametric! The latest fixes to m01ab_09a included with the mod went a success: Awesome; thank you for the latest fixes and updates! Also, here to report that there are some gaps-and-cracks inside some model that is worth consider, as seen in the screenshot below: m01ab_09a [yes, the same model with the last fixes actually had tons of gaps inside. Most noticeably in the left-entrance as soon as we enter the area] m01ab_12a [escape pods area] They are merely samples of more gaps-and-cracks that was found inside this broken ship. Although I'm not really sure were they intended or not by the devs in the first place. 🤔 Like- yes it's a sinking ship, but only by using broken doors, smoke effects, blast marks, and some emitters would be sufficient, the way I see it. Many thanks for considering this.
-
Endar Spire was indeed a broken ship. There are TONS of gaps and cracks on its model. Kinda' hope the escape mission could be somewhat tweaked by adding time-limits lol.
-
Thanks! I thought it would be somewhat impossible [in regards to my knowledge lol], because when I opened the model with KOTORmax the panel is indeed in one piece, as I was expecting they are separated. I actually have no thought about it was the UVs. Nice to hear that for you it was a pretty easy fix. 😁 Fantastic! Thank you for the fixes and the update. Here are the result of particular fixes: Actually, there are few of them left, but they're in the same model. It's inside m01ab_09a: Anyway, inside its description is described; "Additionally adjusts the lightmap UVs to remove a light bloom that occurred during baking due to the offset geometry." Does this occurrence is indeed a light bloom? I have thought that it was something to do with envmapping; either false use of Cubemaps or the opacity in the alpha is just too solid. But either change to the said assumption didn't make any change on my end.

Greetings, fellow Jedi! Hope you are doing fine. I am here to request for your help with inverting the panels particularly inside the m01aa_10 and m01aa_09 model: These panels noticeably looks inverted when using Dak Drexl's "Dak's Endar Spire Retexture". The inverted panels meshes is LHR_wall02. I believe they are still noticeable with the vanilla texture installed only by look at them closely, but by using Dak's texture the transition was quite significant. I have tried myself to "rotate" the panels but ends-up rotating the whole room. Many thanks for considering this, and may the Force be with you!
