UPDATE: Shoulder-plate clipping issue with the model has been fixed! Description: I've always been a fan of Deadman's "Movie Mandalorians" mod that was released for K2/TSL and I loved the aesthetic of it, but was disappointed that no equivalent was released for K1. I have ported his models for the three main ranks of regular Mandalorian NPCs that appear in-game for K1 (Mandalorian "warriors" in blue, "captains" in yellow, and "elites" in red), and have used the alt textures for them created by Mcfly because I felt they were closer to the original textures. However I've included the actual textures from Deadman's original mod as well, for anyone who would prefer to use them. To be clear, the models and textures for specific NPCs such as Canderous and his rival Jagi, as well as additional weapons added in Deadman's original mod, are not included in this mod. For now I would recommend using other mods for those things. Installation: Just run the TSLPatcher the direct it to your game file. To install the original textures used by Deadman, install the main mod with TSLPatcher first and then just copy the files from the "Deadman's Original Textures" folder and paste them in the "Override" folder. To Uninstall: Remove the files from your Override folder and add the backup .2da file to it Compatibilities: This mod will be incompatible with any other mods that edit the textures and/or models of the armored Mandalorians but otherwise there shouldn't be any issues. Permission & Distribution: Anyone is welcome to use my models and textures, just please ask first and be sure to give me credit. Thanks to: Deadman for the models and Mcfly for the textures, which I've always preferred since I felt they were closer the the ones used in-game, and Effix, Thor110, and DarthParametric for giving me advice from time to time concerning the porting of models and assigning of textures, as well as additional modding advice from N-DReW25. Legal: THIS MODIFICATION IS NOT SUPPORTED BY BIOWARE/OBSIDIAN ENTERTAINMENT, LUCASARTS, DISNEY OR ANY LICENSERS/SPONSORS OF THE MENTIONED COMPANIES. USE OF THIS FILE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK AND THE ABOVE-MENTIONED COMPANIES OR THE AUTHOR IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO YOUR COMPUTER FOR THE USAGE OF THIS FILE.

  3. Hi everyone. I wanted to share an idea/project where I'll attempt to port 2 (1 male, 1 female) head models for SWKotOR head mods. The first head will be David "Section" Mason from Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. And the second head will be Chloe "Karma" Lynch, also from Call Of Duty: Black Ops II. Currently, I only obtain David "Section" Mason's model and have not disassemble his head yet. Wish me luck and encouragement my friends.
  4. I don't know if someone has done this already, but could someone port the blonde guy head from KOTOR 2 to KOTOR 1? or link me to an existing one? I couldn't find it if it has already been done. Thanks! EDIT: This one.
  5. I always liked how Luke was dressed in Return of the Jedi, I think it might fit well for a Grey Jedi kind of playthrough. For those who played Jedi Knight : Jedi Academy, Toshi made a really nice model of that particular outfit. Here's the one I mean, as it is in EA's Battlefront 2. Someone else made a thread about it a while ago and had the original modder's approval. I figured with the new rules and modding tools, this might be a good time to make a new request for it.
  6. "Awaken..." *Looks around cautiously* Well, I seemingly escaped my cyrosleep that I took for reasons I can't recall. I'm so ecstatic to see all the improvements to ease the process of modding, and the new possibilities unlocked. What, Jolee? You don't think that portrait matches you? A relatively "small" project I may do is porting the K1 player heads into K2. My first step will be seeing which heads Obsidian didn't remove from the game assets, and then go from there. On another note, I confirmed that I did lose all of my files for Echo of the Force (my previous WIP TC for KOTOR II)...except...I did apparently retain most of my notes. The downside is I have to redo everything from scratch. I'm slowly restarting it, but it may take some time to get back to where I was at before. Here's my first stab at recreating one of the NPC skins I had previously done. Anyways, until my next entry, may the Force be with you.
  7. Many thanks to: This instructive topic Fred Tetra's "KotORTool" bead-v's "MDLedit" Chuck Chargin Jr./ndix UR's "MDLOps" JCarter426's "JC's Cloaked Jedi Robes & Supermodel Port for K1 - Supermodels" stoffe/Fair Strides' "TSLPatcher" and DarthParametric's past-present modding knowledge , My first ever porting attempt went a success! I remembered back then; the very first thing I wanted to do with modding is on doing this, which ends-up me going nowhere with the attempt lol. So, although I'm not actually "create" one, it is always a pleasing feeling to see an effort comes to fruition. Again, credits to the aforementioned folks; as only because of their effort, the dream isn't just a dream. May the Force be with you all!

    Jolee as PC

    Version 1.0.0

This mod will add Jolee from Kotor as a playable character in Kotor 2 TSL. The head replaces the black, bearded bald guy. Note: The animations differ a little from the default heads in Kotor 2. Jolee seems to be much less calm and always looking around. This is not a bug, but his unique animation from Kotor.
  9. Someone on the KOTOR reddit said that porting was allowed now, is that true? because I didn't hear anything about that.

  11. I know this was brought up recently enough -- just noticed it myself -- but I wanted to see what people's take on this was exactly; especially with LucasArts being acquired by Disney and this NOT being LucasForums . I'm sure there is some "legal" issue here that people rightly or wrongly are stuck on, but, if you were to have a disclaimer as part of you mod, that the mod uses assets from K1 for a TSL mod, and, that you need to have both a legitimate copy of K1 and TSL in order to use the mod, well.. is there really an issue here if you make it clear that you don't support pirating and place the onus on the end user to take responsibility for their actions and that you (or the site) are not liable if you by chance happen to be using the mod without owning copies of both games..? I'm pretty sure this is something that other sites do, where modders use assets from one game within another -- for example Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3; especially when it comes to mods that uses assets from a DLC. Especially as I think that most of the fans of these games will likely have legitimate copies of both games -- I do for both along with for XBOX -- and if I'm not mistaken, there is a version of the game that was sold that had BOTH games on the same disc, perhaps even launched by the same loader. Which makes things a tad bit more "gray" than black and white.
