Kaidon Jorn's status update from February 3, 2016 says you can freely use resources from his mods.

EDIT: That's a PartySwap thread, I was on mobile version and thought it's a new one. Are you sure you have installed PartySwap properly and haven't picked any additional contentmods afternoon installing it? Mods which edit the DLGs or scripts may have reverted changes made by PartySwap.

I have never used T3 in K1 after opening the Sith Base, actually, as opposed to TSL when a couple of scenes with him alone and his personal conversations make him a character you actually like. For me, T3 could never appear in K1, but then his story in TSL would make little sense. Still, I don't think that just a simple soldier could get into a Sith base so easily, and for an elite droid made for en Exchange boss, it makes sense.

This would kill mmersion for me, also the droid reserved for Davik makes me feel that the guy is really important on Taris.

The Sith Lords Restoration Project Videos
superSzym commented on N-DReW25's blog entry in N-DReW's Datapad
I still have doubts, as the hidden Visquis' base fight outcome or what happens with you after Dessicus fight would have to be rewritten. Two times when you fall unconscious and get rescued by your party on one planet is just too much. I was also asking for the head because I thought it would be a good idea to give that one to the Sith Master in Dxun Tomb, but a member of Uthar Wynn's race that isn't a Sith is even cooler. -
The Sith Lords Restoration Project Videos

I think we have a couple of good storywriters on Deadly Stream to rewrite that piece. It is quite apparent that it's not written by anyone professional, the player's lines are way too long for so many of them to appear in one scene. Also, I hope the plot you come out with to restore would tie well enough with the rest of the game. I like the idea of restoring the GenoHaradan, but I consider the G0-T0 plot very good already and I hope this won't get spoiled by getting too much of the content on Nar Shaddaa while most of the game has little sidequests and short stories (save Telos, this was a time-consuming yet well-written part of the game). One more question: which head did you finally choose to use for Dessicus? -
I see no problem in maintenances. DeadlyStream is the only active KotOR modding site and considering we have more tools and possibilities than we had before, it would be a waste for the site or any of its parts to be lost. I'd rather wait a couple of hours just to assure full stability. Also, bringing a chat back is a good idea, I hope it will work better because once I have entered it and it had enormous delays that made writing and answering practically impossible to me. Do you know when are you planning these maintenances? I mean, in hours?

Naming anthology movies "a Star Wars Story" is fine, as it suggests being a story set in a Star Wars universe, not part of the main storyline, but the first part of the name... meh. It could be something more original. I hope they will call Obi-Wan movie "Hello There - a Star Wars story" :-P It would be nice, fitting and unconventional.
-
Thankfully DeadlyStream is online again after it disappeared for whole two days. I really missed it.

Oh, actually, now that I think of it, yes. I thought the unscheduled server maintenance started on October 14th, but now I recall it starting at the afternoon (UTC +1) of October 13th.

I'm not sure the "classic style" head fits B4-D4 very much. It's very simplistic and old-school and I think a better place for that head would be other protocol droids on Citadel Station or some old, worn-out droid models in the game, as a droid with that head looks cheap, while B4-D4 is a shiny, representative model. Perhaps a C2-N2 head or another, exclusive one? This looks decent: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/e0/cc/f1/e0ccf196173e56ebd3ababaff8aa4220.jpg Also, are you planning to add the collar around the neck to C2-N2? Also, C2's head seems too small in terms of proportions (but this may be a subjective feeling).

The first trailer was far better. This was just a piece of poorly placed scenes from the film and the last quote doesn't really sound well. I have a feeling this trailer was made quickly just to serve the expectations of fan service.

The cantina looks exactly how I would expect a luxurious place from a good science-fiction to look. Especially the worklight is amazing and floor tiles look unusual compared to other places of the game, which gives it an unique climate. Actually, every location on Sleheyron takes my breath away. Only what seems like a bar lounge could be more detailed.

Why would you limit yourself to five mods? I don't know about such a thing that would make your game crash if you have more. And why would you want to use some WineSkin things? Most of the mods don't use .exe installers except TSLRCM and M4-78EP, which you would install by subscribing to them and mods that use TSLPatcher to patch your game files (you'll only need it when they change something else than textures - .tga, models - .mdl and mdx, always files of both formats, as these are always overrides and scripts - .ncs, as they currently cannot be patched), and these do only content mods that affect existing pieces of the game like most of, but not all quest mods, NPC edits (not necessarily adding NPCs, as that can be handled by scripts) and item changes (again, such edits mostly aren't required for creating new items). Simpler mods do not require you to use the .exe to install them, you just open the .zip (I think that to open compressed folders you don't need an emulator, 7Zip should be available for Mac) and drop the files to a folder you are told to in the ReadMe (usually the Override).
-
From what I know, it doesn't matter how many mods will you subscribe to, but most content-adding mods except TSLRCM and M4-78EP which are designed to work together have to be installed manually into the TSLRCM directory. I think it doesn't matter for the Widescreen UI. Why would you like to use the last mod? The Steam Version has Aspyr's update, which adds widescreen, enabled by default.

Beautiful.

Textures are in the same format in both games. You can safely use them.

Trouble Making Simple KotOR Items - No File Types?
superSzym replied to Stelyria's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Try to write the extension in the filename when saving the files. KotOR Tool does not add them automatically. -
HK-48 is an interesting idea. Some more dialog would be perhaps nice, too, so that we may actually get to know him at least a bit during not-so-long endgame experience. I recall UnusualCharacters doing some quite fine HK-47 voiceovers. Also, he could appear on Malachor as HK-47's sidekick or get destroyed at the end of HK Factory. He also should not appear from nowhere and perhaps you could find him somewhere at the beginning of the HK Factory as a deactivated, retired model. I have also the feeling that HK-48 stucks out too much as a direct replacement for 47 model, HK-49 sounds nicer, but it is up to you. Some rebalance would be also nice, as the idea seems good, but making it basically an HK Factory Godmode limits potential mod users.

Wow, these are indeed weird. While the animation fix for handshake would be a tougher job, player and Bastila walking into the floor is probably a poorly set walkmesh.
-
Well, the new version is sure a lot better than these coming with previous updates, but sadly, the portraits are still not the best. And is that F35 armor animated? It has a couple of takes on the armor and a ridiculously big size of the file that will probably make most of modern computers freeze.
-
I'm afraid I have to say about bracers the same thing I said about knee covers - they shouldn't be made from fabric. While I understand making armguards from that possibly energy-absorbing material, as the outfit appears early enough in game to utilize animations with putting hands up, like for example dancing on Taris and metal covers would look completely weird during performance of these dances (as they shouldn't have been elastic enough to allow to dance), wristguards usually contain things like comlink, so they shouldn't be from fabric.
-
Locations and character would not probably fit the game storyline anyway if not included altogether, but KotOR could use some better animations, like the kissing one for Bastila and Revan and Kreia utilizing Darth Malak's one-handed fighting style.
-
The name may be inadequate in terms of current media, but not nearly as that. Also, who would re-do the game on the older engine? Lower performance, more bugs and issues, not mentioning that KotOR has completely different combat mechanics compared to SWTOR. Also, the project would take too long to be published without a WIP project. So, I find the world "hype" fitting to the situation, as there's a bit of your fault in that misinterpretation, as you expected too much. Anyways, why have SWTOR when you can have KotOR? No grinding, no waiting for the developers to implement a new chapter so that the story can progress, no ridiculously expensive equipment, more interesting companions and more dynamic storyline, no cool suits and by that no pressure to help EA pay their employees, MODDING.
