  1. Anyone hear anything further about a mobile version of TSL? I know Aspyr was considering it.

      Haven't heard anything.

Though to be honest, now that it has controller support and runs on mac, I don't know if I'd need a mobile version. Seems nice in theory though.

True. I loved playing K1 on mobile though. Very smooth and convenient. I could play while sitting on the couch or lying in bed!

  3. Looks great. Those sky textures need updated now too!
  4. I'd love to see K1 remade and for consoles. I love the K1 modding scene but I prefer console gaming in general. I see that more likely than a KOTOR3, since SWTOR was basically KOTOR3 x12.
  5. What he said ^ Bootcamp will be the smoothest option, especially for big games like Fallout 3 and NV. I only run Bootcamp for games that I can't play any other way, like SWTOR and K2 (though not anymore!). You'll have a smoother and reduced hassle experience if you use Bootcamp rather than a Wine wrapper or Crossover, or even a VM. BUT this means you either have to buy Windows (which will cost you an arm and a leg) or run Windows illegally.
  6. They could be making KOTOR 3 right now, BUT I have my doubts. SWTOR was meant to be, and is, a huge successor to the KOTOR series. If you think about it, it's like having multiple sequels to the series. There's so much content in that game, its crazy. I think Bioware has something else up their sleeve with this new Star Wars game they're making. It could be related to KOTOR and SWTOR somehow but I'm not sure it'll be a legit "KOTOR 3" or anything. But I could be wrong. And I'd be okay with that.
  7. There have been multiple cases where LF went completely offline for weeks, am I right? Or am I imagining it? EDIT: maybe I was thinking of LucasFiles? Though I thought they were connected somehow. <---- uninformed
  8. Surely its not a surprise to you guys. FF network sites have been acting up for years now. The OP link explains why. This is one reason why JKHub was created, to give the JK community a safe place to move to when FF finally went under. Luckily, we got a good 75% of JK2 and JKA mods uploaded with permission from the original authors. The other 25% leaves the random reborn and jawa reskins and the mods that we didn't have permission to upload. I recommend the staff here do the same, while the files are still available. Contact authors and get them to register here and upload their mods - or get permission to upload them yourself. You'll be surprised how many modders are still contactable and are willing to do it. I also recommend you guys fully brand your site as the new home to KOTOR modding, and maybe even drop JK support. The KOTOR community only has here and LF to go to, and we all know how LF can be a bit shady in it's intentions for the future.
  9. They have yet to port it to Linux, so that's one thing that could drive them to do this same update to K1. As far as testing things on Mac goes, I'd love to help out. I could even ask one of the coders from the JK community to help. He made the program called ModView available natively on Mac, so he knows what he's doing. If a legit thread and effort is made, I could point him to it and he could help point you in the right direction. Short answer: no. Disney/Lucasfilm have said that only movies and TV shows and a handful of recently released books are canon. But seeing how new content is being created for SWTOR and TSL is re-released is a good sign and could point to them being made canon. I believe they still sell SWTOR toys as well, such as Legos and Darth Revan action figures, though I could be wrong about that.
  10. That's kind of the main reason for the update. As far as TSLPatcher for Mac goes, are there any efforts on getting a Mac version of it yet? I'm not aware of who made it, but it seems fairly straight forward. I assume the one that made it is gone without the source code available?
  11. They can't have it pre-installed because then they would be selling it, which they can't do unless they pay the people that actually worked on it. Can't say "created" it per se, since it mostly uses original assets and files. Right? Could be an interesting discussion though, IF the mod was created only by using original assets, then it might be able to be sold since the assets were created by Obsidian. Not sure though.
  12. They wrote an article on how to install mods. They have their own installer for TSLRCM, which is interesting. http://blog.gameagent.com/how-to-install-mods-for-star-wars-knights-of-the-old-republic-ii-on-the-mac/
  13. Been waiting for a Mac version for years. So glad it happened! Here's the official announcement, if people are interested. http://blog.gameagent.com/knights-of-the-old-republic-sequel-comes-to-mac-and-linux/ Now lets hope for an iOS and Android version soon, like with the first game!
  14. What ever happened to that old aVoL Vader model for TSL?

  15. I hope you're going to give credit to HapSlash for those textures and models. They are Jedi Academy models.
  16. KOTOR for iOS is currently on sale for $2.99!

Nice. It's really a refreshing feeling playing through without any mods and a new play style.

  17. Agreed. I use this mod anyways. Would fit nicely in the restoration.
  18. Much needed! Thanks! Looks like the KOTOR 1 version though.
  19. Might just be the quality of the screenshots, but the textures look just as low quality as the originals.
  20. Where is the Shyrack cave ambience sound located in the KOTOR folder? So many to sort through and for some reason I can't play most of them. I'm hoping someone knows already.
  21. Or on a grander scheme, don't care about quality of games, just want to get their hands on the money ASAP. Look at TSL and JKA, both are victims of this. I'd be a bigger fan of a KOTOR and TSL remake than a KOTOR 3, at least at first. Maybe remake them, and use those as a basis for a new installment. That way they can get their feet wet in new gameplay and graphics but not worry too much about story, and then use all that they learn to improve on a KOTOR 3 and focus on the story more. Might be wishful thinking though.
  22. Don't be so sure. We're getting a new Battlefront, so that's a step in the right direction. Now that Lucasarts is being run by competent people, we'll be seeing some great games in the next few years. We only got a handful of Star Wars games in the past 10 years or so, compared the dozens we got from 1999 - 2006, when the movies were coming out. I bet a KOTOR 3, or a KOTOR remake is on the horizon.
  23. Been asking Aspyr about KOTOR 2 ever since they released the first game on iOS. They say no plans "at this time" so it's possible it could happen. I'll be overjoyed if it gets brought to Mac and iOS, which would mean it would come to Android shortly after.
