  1. Quarterstaff Replacement Pack for K1

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    1.0.0 Release Date: 04.01.2023

    Installation:
Copy & Paste the files inside the "For Override" folder and place them into the "Override" folder inside your "swkotor" directory.

    Description:
Since the 2010s, there have been many attempts at creating high quality models and textures for the weapons found in the Kotor games, however, there are several types of weapons which don't have any HD mods in 2023: Gamorrean Battleaxes, Stun Batons and Quarterstaffs.
But some of you might recall DeadMan's Quarterstaff Replacement Pack from 2012 which replaced the Quarterstaff models with high quality models and textures... this mod was made for Kotor 2 though and was never ported for K1 players to enjoy... until now!
10 years after the release of the original, the Quarterstaff Replacement Pack has now been ported to K1 replacing the Quarterstaff and the Massassi Battle Staff.
Quarterstaffs can either be bought from merchants or wielded by NPCs as weapons (such as the Black Vulkars and Outcast NPCs on Taris)

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream.
It should be noted that the Massassi Battle Staff sometimes doesn't extend if equipped when the player is doing the "battle pose" animation. The weapon will be able to extend once this animation stops.

    Incompatibilities:
Report any unknown incompatibilities to me on Deadlystream.com

    Permissions:
You are free to use this models as you like as long as you give proper credit to DeadMan.
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES CAN ASSETS OF THIS MOD TO BE UPLOADED TO STEAM WORKSHOP.

    Special Thanks to:
    DeadMan: For the original mod!
SithSpecter, RevanDark and AshuraDX: Assets used in the original mod by DeadMan!
Bioware: For such an amazing game!

  4. JC's Romance Enhancement: Dark Sacrifice for K1

    Summary
This mod uses a mix of new and unused content to restore an alternate ending that was cut from the game. With this mod, players who have romanced Carth and fallen to the dark side will be presented with the option to seek redemption in a new ending distinct from the base game light side and dark side endings.
Choosing the dialogue option "No, let him speak. I want to hear what he has to say." in a conversation with Carth at the end of the game will lead to the restored sequence. The player will then have the option to choose the base game dark side ending or the new ending.
    Installation

  5. Effixian's PMHH01 from K2 to K1

    ---------------------------------------------
    Knights of the Old Republic
    ---------------------------------------------
    TITLE: Effixian's PMHH01 from K2 to K1
    AUTHOR: Effix(ian)
CONTACT: PM me on the forums or find me on Steam

    -----------------------
    DESCRIPTION
    -----------------------
This mod adds a male playable character; the first Hispanic head from KotOR 2 (PMHH01).
As requested by themaraudersforever on deadlystream.com.

    I've included 2 texture alternatives.
    A: "Son of Vaklu"
A bearded Caucasian version. There's no zombie style dark side corruption, light side has brown eyes, fully dark has the yellow Sith eyes, halfway is a mix of the two.
    B: "Mullet Man"
The PMHH01 head from K2 is almost the same as K1's PMHC04 head, but with a slightly different hairdo. This alternative B uses PMHH01's shape with slightly tweaked versions of PMHC04's textures. There's vanilla zombie style dark side transitions. The portraits are the same as PMHC04, because the differences are subtle.

    -------------------------
    INSTALLATION
    -------------------------
    Run the file "TSLPatcher - Install Effixian's PMHH01 from K2 to K1.exe".

To use one of the texture alternatives: copy all the files from inside one of the folders to your Override folder, overwrite files when prompted.

    ----------
    BUGS
    ----------
None known, please let me know if you find any.

    --------------------------
    UNINSTALLING
    --------------------------
    1. Remove the following files from your Override folder:

    pmhh01.mdl
    pmhh01.mdx
    PMHH01.tga
    PMHH01d.tga
    PMHH01d1.tga
    PMHH01d2.tga
    PMHH01d3.tga
    po_PMHH01.tga
    po_PMHH01d.tga
    po_PMHH01d1.tga
    po_PMHH01d2.tga
    po_PMHH01d3.tga

    2. If you have never installed any mod with the TSL Patcher then you can remove appearance.2da, heads.2da and portraits.2da from the Override folder. Otherwise:
If you haven't installed any head mods after this mod you can get the following files from the mod's backup folder and put them back in your Override folder:
    appearance.2da
    heads.2da
    portraits.2da

Doing this when you did add another head mod would result in the later head(s) no longer being available in the game.

  6. Commandos of the Old Republic

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    1.0.0 Release Date: 22.03.2022
    1.1.0 Release Date: 05.12.2022

    Installation:
    1) This mod requires .MOD files in order to work, these can be aquired by installing the K1 Community Patch.
    2) Install the K1CP first: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1258-kotor-1-community-patch/

    3) If you plan on using the Female Republic Soldier Restoration mod, install that mod AFTER K1CP and BEFORE this mod: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2022-female-republic-soldier-restoration/

4)Once you have that mod installed, simply click on this mod's INSTALL.exe, click install, sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic.

    5) This next part is OPTIONAL, open the "Female Republic Commando Patch" folder within this mod, click on the patch's INSTALL.exe and install it as well.
This option will replace one of the Endar Spire Commandos with a female Commando.

Recommended, but not required, mods to install are:
    * [K1] Form of Soldier HD "International Global Mod", turns the Commando bodies HD: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1341-k1-form-of-soldier-hd-international-global-mod/
    * Republican Soldier HD, turns the male Commando head HD: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1864-republican-soldier-hd/
    * Republican Soldier Woman HD, turns the female Commando head HD: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1870-republican-soldier-woman-hd/
    * Trask Ulgo HD, turns Trask's texture HD to keep him consistent with the other 3 mods: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1863-trask-ulgo-hd/
Once installed together, these skins will affect the Republic Commando NPCs in my mod as shown in the mod's screenshots.

    Description:
For as long as Kotor has existed, modders and players alike have either made and/or played with mods which change the player character's stupid Soldier's outfit with a proper Republic uniform.
This mod kinda does the same thing... but in my "non-biased" opinion, this mod does that better!
30th of March, 2008... a modder by the name of SilverEdge9 created a reskin of the male player's Soldier clothing which he used in his upcoming 2009 mod Brotherhood of Shadow: Solomon's Revenge (BOSSR). This
Soldier texture was reskinned with the exact color palette as the Republic Soldier uniform, and for a texture made in 2008... it still looks amazing! The texture was only seen in a small section
of the mod where it was used as the uniform of the "Republic Commando" NPCs (No relation to the 2005 "Republic Commando" Video Game).
Sometime around 2014-2015, another modder, who has gone by many names but today goes by "Dark Hope", made the female version of BOSSR's Soldier outfit and released it to the Russian Kotor Community as part of a mod
which added BOSSR's Republic Commando textures for the Soldier class.
For the English Kotor Communities of Deadlystream and NexusMods, she created a beautiful 4K resolution texture inspired by the SilverEdge9's original design in 2018.

    What does my mod do?:
1st) It replaces the player's Soldier texture with SilverEdge9's male and Dark Hope's female Soldier textures.
2nd) It adds a brand new NPC called "Republic Commando", the new Republic Commando NPCs are elite Soldiers fighting for the Republic. In the lore, players who play the "Soldier" class are also Republic Commandos. You can find these Commandos on the Endar Spire, in the Undercity and on Manaan!
3rd) If you choose to install Dark Hope's Soldier clothing and Republic Soldier texture mods after installing this mod, the Republic Commando NPCs will use Dark Hope's textures instead. See "Installation" for details!

    Known Bugs:
This mod shouldn't have bugs but if there is Just PM me on Deadlystream.

    Incompatibilities:
Incompatible with any mods which modify the Soldier class clothing texture (This shouldn't break the game if you install the textures AFTER this mod, I recommend Dark Hope's textures as per the installation instructions).
Incompatible with any mods which modify the Soldier class clothing model (no exceptions). This makes it incompatible with K1 NPC Overhaul as it changes the Soldier clothing model to a Republic uniform model.
Report any unknown incompatibilities to me on Deadlystream.com

    Permissions:
Do NOT claim credit for this mod and do not use assets from this mod without my permission.
SilverEdge9 gave everyone permission to use his BOSSR assets, this includes the male Soldier skin. You'll have to ask Dark Hope for the female Soldier skin.

    Special Thanks to:
Bioware: For such an amazing game!
SilverEdge9: For creating the male Soldier texture for the Brotherhood of Shadow mod!
Dark Hope: For creating the female Soldier texture and granting permission for me to release the texture alongside this mod
    Fred Tetra: For Kotor Tool!
    Stoffee: For TSLPatcher!

  10. Sith Commandos [K1]

A Mod for Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
    Author: N-DReW25
    1.0.0 Release Date: 11.12.2022

    Installation:
    1) This mod requires .MOD files in order to work, these can be acquired by installing the K1 Community Patch.
    2) Install the K1CP first: https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1258-kotor-1-community-patch/
3)Once you have that mod installed, simply click on this mod's INSTALL.exe, click install, sit back and watch the TSLPatcher do its magic.

Recommended, but not required, mods to install are:
Commandos of the Old Republic, adds Commandos for the Republic!- https://deadlystream.com/files/file/2033-commandos-of-the-old-republic/
Effixian's Sith Commando Reskins, gives the Sith Commandos a higher quality skin - https://deadlystream.com/files/file/1998-effixians-sith-commando-reskins/

    Description:
Whilst many Star Wars fans may know of the many Trooper variants which exist in the Star Wars Canon and Legends universe, the Legends video game Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic doesn't offer many notable Trooper variants presenting only gold and red Sith Troopers as enemies who exist solely to be an obstacle in the way of the player and don't really offer anything valuable lore wise.
KoTOR's sequel, The Sith Lords, tries to somewhat fix this issue with the Sith Army by adding "Sith Commandos", Sith Commandos are an odd appearance in Kotor 2 as they appear towards the end game but aren't really introduced to the player in any way which is impactful (like seeing gold Sith Troopers butcher Republic Soldiers or having a red Sith Soldier confront you up close and personal in the Undercity). Sith Commandos are so mundane in TSL it wouldn't come as a surprise if some of us never noticed them, however, Sith Commandos are unique from Bioware's Sith Soldiers in that they possess a unique model and texture.
This mod will port the Sith Commandos from Kotor 2 and add them into Kotor 1, placing them strategically amongst the Sith you encounter across the galaxy.
Do be warned, for better or worse, this mod will only change the name and appearance of Sith Soldiers thus converting them into Sith Commandos. Their stats and equipment will remain the same, this means they won't kill you easily with overpowered stats and won't drop odd loot, however, they won't be any stronger than Sith Soldiers despite being 'Commandos'.

  11. KOTOR Quick Overhaul

    KOTOR Quick Overhaul v0.5Beta
Hi! This is a beta of my upcoming rebalancing/overhaul mod for Knights Of The Old Republic 1. The mod itself is complete (AkA, it affects the entire game, from start to finish), but I've only tested it on Taris so far (hence the screenshots), thus it's still a beta. It changes armor mechanics (now they offer a fixed 25% immunity to physical, ion, and energy damage in addition to Defence bonuses, which go higher then in vanilla on high-quality armors, to keep them relevant late-game), robes (various immunities, and CON bonuses in addition to Defence), even standard clothing (it offers same Defence as medium armor, without the damage immunities, but with immunity to crits - logic being you're just as mobile, and a bit more aware, so you don't take crit damage, but you take more regular damage then in armor - and of course it's non restrictive so you can use all Force powers in an outfit with some decent Defence - should make keeping clothing more appealing as an alternative).
Weapons have been tweaked as a baseline (2da file), and individually (.uti files), ranged weapons especially do a LOT more damage, speccing for a ranged character is now a very viable option, they are now, IMO, easily on par with melee weapons in usefulness. High STR characters are still better off just speccing into melee, but for everyone else - you be the judge. They can now hurt. A lot. More types of weapons are now available earlier in-game on Taris (if you want a Disruptor for example, Kebla sells a rifle, and you can pick up a pistol not soon after - and you might consider one, a lot of enemies now like putting up a shield). Enemies also use different weapons, it's not just a blaster-haven, so don't be surprised if you get incoming sonic or disruptor fire going right through your pretty shield. Repeating blasters are now actually useful - short ranged, but big accuracy buff (simulating spray-and-pray actually hitting more often by virtue of throwing enough sh*t at a wall and hoping some of it sticks). Also more powerful then blaster rifles, but they incurr a slight Defence debuff (recoil, and unwieldy). For hard-to-hit enemies and Force users, you might want to use a repeater if your base attack bonus is low, more chance of bypassing their defence/blaster deflection. Disruptors are more powerful then blasters, but less consistent (1/3 to 1 damage ratio, instead of 1/2 to 1 for blasters). Ion weapons got a big anti-droid damage buff. Sonic weapons have been left untouched (but still more usefull, since armors don't provide sonic damage immunity). Non-powered swords are now a viable alternative to vibroswords (slightly higher top damage, lower bottom, but worse crit threat). Some weapons have crit threat or crit range bonuses.
Energy shield are now unlimited-use, and a LOT cheaper to buy (and sell, should make selling a 100 shields for big money later in the game a non-option). Don't be afraid to use them often - you'll need them. Most enemies are a LOT tougher now.
Droids now have a -5 Defence penalty baseline (their Defence could get to ridiculous levels in vanilla, thanks to uncapped armors and logic feats), but have inherent /5 resistance to physical and energy damage (NOT ion, big incentive to use Ion weapons more often). This includes party droids. Most enemy droids will now be shielded, and have a LOT more health. Again, ion weapons are your buddy.
Many NPCs in the game have been buffed, massively. Some also drop unique weapons (hint-hint, do Canderous's personal quest - just one example). Force users are especially enhanced (most Dark Jedi in vanilla are a joke). This is all throughout the game, but not all (some NPCs use duplicate forms, I couldn't edit them directly into Override, I'd have to edit the modules, which I refused to do, to make this mod more compatible with other mods).
Classes get more HP as baseline. 12 for Soldiers/Guardians, 10 for Scouts/Sentinels, 8 for Scoundrels/Consulars. Soldiers and Scoundrels, and Guardians and Sentinels, get slightly increased Feat gain. Sentinels get 1 more Force power overall, to differentiate them from Guardians. Combat droids get Scout feat gain, can now Specialize in Rifles, Pistols, and Heavy weapons. All party member HP has been adjusted accordingly. Carth no longer starts with twin pistols, he uses a carbine (trust me, having an inaccurate twin-weapon user at the start would get you killed, given the buffed enemies on Taris - your party needs some consistency, he provides it). He has his personal upgradeable carbine. Bastila uses a standard lightsaber now (same reason, her flailing-around with that double-saber WILL get her killed early on). And it makes sense, in cutscenes she uses a standard saber. HK47 buffed MASSIVELY. He now has 20 CON, 18 DEX and roughly double the health as a result, and he comes with his own special targeting computer. He was pathetically weak in vanilla.
INSTALLATION: Simple. Drop everything into your Override folder. I took great pains to make this mod very hands-on to install, so there's no messing with modules or dialog file. Should be compatible with everything, as long as my mod comes FIRST (and I cannot overemphasise this enough), on a blank vanilla game. It doesn't use a patcher, and it does edit .2da files, so there WILL be incompatibilites if you plaster it over a bunch of other mods, it will overwrite them. Make a fresh game install, dump my mod in Override, then install every other mod you want.
As for K1R compatibility, there shouldn't be problems (I don't use it on my game, but since my mod only affects Override folder and doesn't touch any modules, I see no reason why anything should conflict). Again for safety, put my mod in BEFORE installing K1R.

  13. Taris Undercity Repairs

Taris' Undercity is home to the strangest of galactic life. Not rakghouls, but floating grass. Specifically, there is one little area by the front of the Undercity pod crash with a little walkmesh error, that creates some floating grass the player can float over. This mod just fixes that out for now, it may grow later if I find other things in the module that could use work.
    Installation:
Download the 7z file and extract the contents of the "To Override" folder to your game's override folder, found in the same directory as your main game executable. For Steam installations, this would be "Steam\steamapps\common\swkotor". 7z files can be extracted with Archive Utility on macOS, or with programs like PeaZip on Windows and Linux.
    Uninstallation:
Remove the files in the Included Files list below from your override.

    Compatibility:
Users should expect full compatibility with any other mods, so long as they do not modify/replace the above files. Texture mods do not typically create compatibility issues for mods like this.

    DESCRIPTION
    -----------------------
    As requested by jc2, a K1 version of my similar K2 mod(s).
This is a simple reskin that changes T3-M4's appearance. It shouldn't cause any conflicts with other mods (except other mods that change T3's appearance).
Included are a few different versions from which you can pick, complete with updated portrait.
I'm leaving out the party selection images because they might conflict with popular HD GUI mods. If you're not using that, then I hope it's not a big problem that he has the vanilla look there.
The screenshots are from KotOR 2, but things look pretty much the same.

  23. [K1] Environment Map Restoration

    [K1] Defaultenvmap Restoration
    By Darth InSidious
    Description
Both KotOR games were designed to have environment mapping, i.e., reflections on armours and weapons that
looked like the area the player character was in, rather than generic shinyness.
In the default game, this is switched off, perhaps for performance reasons. This mod partially restores this
feature, using the environment maps for the game which Obsidian included in the default game files.
As a result, not every area has environment maps, but I have been able to enable the feature in about 80 areas,
listed below. This includes the Ebon Hawk and parts of every planet (and large ship, and space station) in the game, except the
    Yavin space station.
This mod is intended as much as a proof-of-concept as a restoration in itself. A full restoration would likely
require cube-mapping all the areas in the game, which I don't have the time or resources to do. If someone
feels like doing that, and knows how, let me know.
The full list of areas included in this mod is:

    Known bugs and compatibility issues
Because each area has only one environment map, sometimes the reflections will be wrong for a given part of an area
which looks different. Also, because of the limited number of environment maps included in the game, I have
reused several of them in different places. Hopefully this isn't too obvious, but it may mean that the environment
    mapping isn't always exact.
The mod currently installs as a series of .are files directly into your Override. This is because it's
difficult otherwise to take account of .mod files with the same filename as the game's default .rim area files,
so it was difficult to make the mod work with, e.g., K1R modules.
This mod hasn't been tested for compatibility with K1R, but I don't anticipate issues for the most part,
since the .are file isn't used for much that can be modded.
*Nevertheless, this mod *may* cause some compatibility issues in some areas with K1R.*
    Installation
Double click on "[K1] Install Defaultenvmap restoration", and hit the "install mod" button.
    Uninstallation
Delete the .are files from your Override folder, and restore the baseitems.2da file
backup made by TSLPatcher on install, and placed in the "backup" folder.
If no such baseitems.2da backup exists (i.e., you haven't used any other mods that modify this file)
simply delete baseitems.2da from your override folder.

  24. Larger Text Fonts for KOTOR

WARNING: 11/29/22 - It appears that the "big" font size category is causing crashes for people attempting to open certain lockboxes in the Taris Undercity. Other sizes, such as "verybig", are unaffected. I will be working to recreate and fix this issue over the weekend. For now, I recommend players either choose a size that isn't "big" or uninstall this mod until the issue is resolved. Sorry for any inconvenience!

Have you tried playing KOTOR 1 at high resolution? Then you may have noticed the text does not scale properly. As a result, text can look  embarassingly small.
Fortunately, this mod contains an assortment of font files that the game can use. They are organized by various sizes with the 3 kinds of text the game uses; they are also interchangeable!
Using these files should give players an easier time when playing in high resolutions, customizable to everyone's needs. Hopefully everyone who wishes to play KOTOR 1 in high resolution will have a more enjoyable experience, and that one of the more common problems facing the community has been properly addressed.
The attached file is a compressed archive that contains a ReadMe file, and a folder containing each set of fonts.

READ THE README FILE BEFORE INSTALLING!
The ReadMe contains an important explanation of what each font folder is, and instructions as to how to properly install the mod.
Improper installation could lead to very unreadable text!

    DISCLAIMERS:
You will NOT be able to see small numbers, the count of grenades for example, via the HUD. This is a problem with the game itself & how it handles larger text inside smaller HUD elements; I am unable to fix this. The game is simply too old and we don't have access to its source code (yet).
This mod is NOT compatible with KOTOR 2 TSL. This mod only exclusively works with KOTOR 1. If you are using the Steam or Mobile versions of KOTOR 2, you shouldn't be experiencing this problem anyways.
As far as I know, there are no compatibility issues with other mods. However, if you come across any problems or something not working as intended, please let me know here or via my Discord: Xela#6419
If you are only playing the game at 1080p or less, this mod may not be necessary. Text only stops scaling up to 1080p resolution (as far as I know). It's possible this mod will only cause issues if you play the game at less than 1080p resolution.
These fonts were NOT my creation! They were found and extracted from the Russian  🇷🇺  version of KOTOR which inexplicably has larger fonts with a variety of sizes, on top of being able to work in English as well.       I do not claim these files to be my own, I simply uploaded them here to share with the community after not finding them anywhere else.

  25. Weapons & Armor, Uncut

...Expand your arsenal with the newly unearthed lost artifacts of the Old Republic...

Welcome! I gladly present this mod which restores nearly all the equipable items cut from KotOR due to some reason or another. Most of them are pretty standard fare, but they no doubt bring even more variety to the game's inventory and are absolutely full of flavour, I'm sure you restoration afficionados out there will appreciate it.

While the items themselves are official, come up by BioWare, their implementation was done at my discretion, though I did take care to follow developer notes wherever I could find them.

Some small features have been brought over from Misc. Nitpicks (visit to see details)
    INSTALLING
Run the TSLPatcher and choose between one of the two options, the default package or the "Plus" package. The latter includes some tasteful (disclaimer: bias) changes done by me and more restorations of items I deemed useless or redundant (ie: Teta's Royal Band).
I should warn you to choose your option carefully because you'll only be able to switch it after uninstalling the previous one clean, which for most mods with module injections, if not done right away with the proper backups will turn from a tedious matter to a near impossible one. In most cases this can only be cleanly achieved though a reinstall of the game.
I also recommend installing my own K1 Armor Nitpicks or JC's Mandalorian Armor for K1 (these are compatible with each other by the way) as they will compliment this mod well. All icons were designed to look good alongside vanilla ones and I won't be doing high resolution versions for them. If the authors of any HD icon packs want to include icons for this mod they're hereby allowed to, I'll link them here.
Ignore any warnings about skipping files during installation, that's normal patcher procedure. Errors are not, however.
    COMPATIBILITY
"Weapons & Armor, Uncut" is compatible with the K1 Community Patch but I wouldn't advise to install it alongside the Restoration Project due to overlaps.
If using the "Plus" install then any mod that changes any .uti files inside this tslpatchdata folder will be overwritten in that regard. I can't vouch for virtually every mod in existence (were you expecting me to do that?) but all my other stuff is compatible.
This mod only works with the English version of Knights of the Old Republic. I did not use string references anywhere, but if there is enough demand for localization support then I will redo it that way and leave the translation to the interested party.
