Jedi Choice Dialogue Enhancement Author: Emperor Devon Version: 1.00 File Name: Jedi Choice Dialogue Enhancement.zip Contact: Emperor Devon (Deadly Stream), emperor.devon9@gmail.com (email), false_epiphany (Discord). Bug reports, feedback, and suggestions are all welcome. 1. DESCRIPTION The cheesiest three lines in KotOR for me are: "I want to be a Jedi Guardian!" "I want to be a Jedi Sentinel!" "I want to be a Jedi Consular!" They read like something an 11-year-old would yell. I can't take them seriously. So, this mod replaces those three lines with nine different lines, which vary depending upon your PC's alignment. Light Side • "I would defend those who cannot defend themselves, Master Dorak. The Jedi Guardian's path calls to me." • "I would uphold truth and justice, Master Dorak. The Jedi Sentinel's path calls to me." • "I would serve the Force above all else, Master Dorak. The Jedi Consular's path calls to me." Neutral • "I would take battle to the Sith, Master Dorak. The Jedi Guardian's path calls to me." • "I would expose treachery wherever it may be found, Master Dorak. The Jedi Sentinel's path calls to me." • "I would heed the Force above all else, Master Dorak. The Jedi Consular's path calls to me." Dark Side • "I would destroy the Order's enemies, Master Dorak. The Jedi Guardian's path calls to me." • "I would root out traitors wherever they hide, Master Dorak. The Jedi Sentinel's path calls to me." • "The galaxy's lesser troubles are nothing before the Force, Master Dorak. The Jedi Consular's path calls to me." 2. COMPATIBILITY There is another mod (whose name I forget) that replaces the "I want to be a Jedi <class>!" lines with "I wish to be a Jedi <class>." You'll have to pick between that mod and mine, as they modify the same dialogue file. Otherwise, this mod is compatible with all other mods. That includes the several dialogue.tlk mods which modify your PC's dialogue options. 3. INSTALLATION Copy the file to your override folder. 4. UNINSTALLATION Delete the file from your override folder. 5. USAGE AND PERMISSIONS You have my blessing to do whatever you want with this file. If you use it in another mod, or upload it to another website, please give me attribution for my work. 6. CREDITS • Cortisol for developing the Holocron Toolset • Deadly Stream for providing a continued home for KotOR modding • tk102 for his dialogue editor • Wine's developers for letting me run Windows tools over Ubuntu • Wizard for continuing to maintain the Holocron Toolset • BioWare and Obsidian for making great games that people still play 20+ years later. 7. Czerka Docks Dialogue Enhancement Author: Emperor Devon Version: 1.00 File Name: Czerka Docks Dialogue Enhancement.zip Contact: Emperor Devon (Deadly Stream), emperor.devon9@gmail.com (email), false_epiphany (Discord). Bug reports, feedback, and suggestions are all welcome. 1. DESCRIPTION This mod alters the conversations with the Czerka guard and docking bay master on Citadel Station. The Docking Bay Master Your PC may now use [Force Persuade] to make him cooperate over the false Batu. It bugged me that Kreia could do this but a PC with Affect/Dominate Mind could not. Your PC may now use [Force Persuade] to make him share his information for free. Again, classic use of the Force upon the weak-minded. Your PC may now use [Persuade] to haggle down his price from 25 credits to 10 credits. The difficulty is slighter higher than the initial [Persuade] check to make him admit he can help. Changed his response to Kreia's "You will help us find..." from "But I see no harm..." to "I will you help find..." Mind tricked people are supposed to parrot back the Jedi's words. Changed a couple PC lines to better reflect the docking bay master's prior responses. For example, if you threaten him and he doesn't budge, your PC will say a surlier "Fine, I'm going," instead of "I'll be going." Added several PC responses to other lines of his. Mostly cosmetic things (e.g., "Very good" after he says your shuttle is prepped for departure) to make the conversation feel more real. Fixed a developer misspelling. "Discrete" should have been "discreet". Fixed a developer grammatical error. "I must protest to your language!" is now "I must protest your language!" The Twi'Lek Guard Your PC may now use [Force Persuade] to make him open up about the wanted criminals. Previously, the only option was to threaten him for dark side points. Your PC may now use [Persuade] to offer him a 20 credit bribe towards the same end. Changed the PC's "I'll be doing" line to a more fitting "All right, I'm going" after the guard asks him/her to leave. Added two PC minor responses to the information he gives: "That's all I needed" and "That's not much." As with the duros, these are intended to make the conversation feel more real. Minor alterations, but it bothered me that haggling and Jedi mind tricks weren't options in those conversations when they are in most others. 2. COMPATIBILITY This mod should be compatible with all other mods. I know of none that alter the dialogue files for these NPCs. 3. INSTALLATION Copy the files to your override folder. 4. UNINSTALLATION Delete the files from your override folder. 5. USAGE AND PERMISSIONS You have my blessing to do whatever you want with these files. If you use them in another mod, or upload them to another website, please give me attribution for my work. 6. Silent Sion Restoration Author: Emperor Devon Version: 1.00 File Name: Silent Sion Restoration.zip Contact: Emperor Devon (Deadly Stream), emperor.devon9@gmail.com (email), false_epiphany (Discord). Bug reports, feedback, and suggestions are all welcome. 1. DESCRIPTION This mod removes the added TSLRCM dialogue lines where Sion tells the Exile, "I have come to warn you, Jedi. You know not the path you walk," (if female) or "I have come for the Jedi," (if male) during their first meeting on the Harbinger. I think the scene is stronger without those lines for several reasons. #1: Sion is scarier when he doesn't speak. All you've seen him do, previously, is murder and terrify. He's basically a horror movie monster. He doesn't need to speak. #2: The male line is redundant. We already know he's here for the Exile. He even says so over the Harbinger holologs. He doesn't need to say so again. #3: The female line undermines Sion's character. His stated intention of "warning" the Exile casts him as an ambiguous figure who potentially means the Exile well. This further reduces his sense of menace. #4: The female line doesn't fit the Sion (quasi-)romance. Sion warning the Exile implies he already has feelings for her. But this is their first meeting. They haven't even spoken. Sion showing no concern for the Exile when they meet, in contrast, implies that his feelings develop over the course of their interactions (primarily on Korriban), which I find more believable. #5: The female line makes no sense. Sion is on Peragus to kill the Exile, not warn the Exile. He has no reason to lie about this. Not all of KotOR II's cut content was cut because of time constraints. Some was cut because the developers thought the game was better without it. IMO, this is one of those instances. So, I've removed the two lines. Sion won't speak a word when he encounters a male or female PC. He will just advance down the hall in menacing silence. 2. COMPATIBILITY This mod requires the TSLRCM. It is compatible with all other mods. 6. 7. I followed this guide for the install: https://old.reddit.com/r/kotor/wiki/kotormodbuildfull There's one mod in there that adds new dialogue that's immature and out of place in the game/setting. Some lines are even voiced. I'm now in the ruined temple on Dantooine. I found the map to the star forge, and one of the dialogue options with Bastilla was, when talking about the force connection between us, to imply she has feelings for her and say she's cute when she's embarrassed. Any idea what mod it is, and how I can fix my install by removing it ? I can't find the mod. Thanks.

A simple mod that goes in and tweaks the character flags for Juhani's dialogue file, her section of the Dantooine Grove dialogue file, and her scipt that allows a male PC to romance her. She'll still refer to the PC as female since splicing audio is far beyond my capabilities, but I took the time to do this, and as far as I'm aware, the only other file that ever attempted to do this is broken. Installation is simple and just requires moving the files to the Override folder. The only mods that might conflict would be those that edit Juhani's dialogue, her scripts, or one particular file for Dantooine (though I'm not aware of any mods that also alter this file.) Maybe one day I'll be good enough to make use of the TSLPatcher. Many thanks to @ebmar and @DarthParametric for answering a couple questions I had that without which this mod would have not been possible.

Description of "TSLRCM Dialog Overhaul": This modification strives to correct the most noticeable errors and inconsistencies found in the dialog.tlk file of The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM). The majority of the alterations are based on modern corpora, mainly affecting written speech as well as menu screens, without changing their original meanings. Some lines underwent slightly advanced changes in order to be in line with their corresponding voice-over references while some others were changed to further add context to specific situations. As this modification was originally meant for personal use only, you will also find some of my attempts at revamping the punctuation of multiple dialog lines to create a more coherent reading experience in accordance to the sound references. That includes the removal of hesitations and interruptions that are not reflected in speech. In its current state, this modification doesn't fix description errors regarding item effects and character building. For full details on the changes, please refer to the included "changes.txt" file. Due to the sheer size of the dialogue script, there is a strong possibility that errors have been overlooked in the editing process. Feel free to report cases of potential overcorrection as well. Feedback is always dearly appreciated (on Deadly Stream via private message or comment on the mod's support page). Installation: TSLRCM 1.8.5 is required. Replace the dialog.tlk file located in your game's main directory with the one from the "overhaul" folder in order to apply the modification. Certain changes may only occur upon starting a new game. In case you may want to revert the changes, just copy the included original TSLRCM dialog.tlk into the game directory. =KotOR 1 No Gendered Dialogue from Male NPCs= A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC MODIFICATION AUTHOR: Leilukin FILE NAME: K1_No_Gendered_Dialogue_Male_NPCs.7z LATEST VERSION: 1.2 CONTACT: E-mail to leilukin@outlook.com, or message to Leilukin on Deadly Stream 1. DESCRIPTION: In KotOR 1, certain male NPCs' dialogue will be different if the player character is female, by flirting with the female PC, remarking on the female PC's gender or appearance, or even scamming the female PC, while not giving such treatment to a male PC. This mod removes those gendered dialogue from male NPCs and aims to make those male NPCs interact with a female PC in the same way as with a male PC, or at least as similar as possible. The male NPCs affected by this mod include: Jordo, messager for Carth's personal quest Jergan in the Upper City Cantina on Taris Holdan in Javyar's Cantina on Taris Tanis Venn on Tatooine Viglo on Manaan Jorak Uln on Korriban In the case of Jergan, who will attempt to scam a female PC out of money, this mod removes him from the game entirely, because his dialogue to a male PC involves him referring to the PC as a man and suggesting that he is trying to get women's attention, so it will not make any sense for a female PC to get such dialogue. Additionally, unlike most of the other male NPCs affected by this mod, there is zero side quest or reward to gain from talking to Jergan at all. This mod has two different ways to alter Holdan and Tanis Venn: Edit Holdan and Tanis dialogue to prevent them from hitting on the femlae PC, while keeping their side quests. This option is for players who still want to do their side quests for the rewards. Remove Holdan and Tanis from the game entirely. This option is for players who do not mind missing out their side quests. Unfortunately, Dia and Marlena Venn also have to be removed from the game due to them heavily tied to Holdan and Tanis' side quests. The dialogue of Zax, Komad Fortuna, Dorak Quinn are edited to remove mentions to Holdan and Tanis. NOTE: This installation option is NOT compatible with non-English localizations of KotOR. 2. INSTALLATION: Extract K1_No_Gendered_Dialogue_Male_NPCs.7z you downloaded to anywhere you like, as long as it is not within the KotOR directory. Run Install.exe, you will see the installer presents two installation option. You may choose ONLY ONE of these options: Holdan and Tanis Venn Dialogue Edit: Removes male NPCs' gendered dialogue and Jergan from the game. Holdan and Tanis Venn's side quests will still be available. Holdan and Tanis Venn Removal: Removes male NPCs' gendered dialogue, Jergan, Holdan and Tannis Venn from the game. You will no longer be able to do Holdan and Tannis Venn's side quests. Once you selected the option you want, point the installer to your KotOR directory, where swkotor.exe is located, and let the installer do its job. If you have installed other mods, when you install my mod, you may receive warnings about the installer skipping at least one .mod file because it already exists in your Modules folder. Do not need to worry about those warnings, as it is just the way I set up the installer to ensure my mod will be installed properly if you are not using any other mods. When you install this mod, a new folder named "backup" will be created by the installer in the same folder as the installer. Do not delete the folder or the file within the folder if you plan to uninstall this mod. 3. UNINSTALLATION: Go to the "backup" folder created by the installer of this mod, cut and paste the MOD files into the Modules folder in your KotOR directory. The MOD files include: korr_m38ab.mod manm26aa.mod tar_m02ae.mod tar_m03ae.mod tar_m02aa.mod* tat_m17ad.mod* tat_m18aa.mod* (*Only if you installed the Holdan and Tanis Venn Removal option) If there is no DLG file present in your backup folder, go to the Override folder in your KotOR directory, and delete the following files: k_hjordo_dialog.dlg tat17_03tanis_01.dlg** tat18_10tanis_01.dlg** (**Only if you installed the Holdan and Tanis Venn Dialogue Edit option) If there is any DLG file present in your backup folder, cut any DLG file(s) from the backup folder, then go to the Override folder in your KotOR directory, and delete the rest of the aforementioned DLG files that did not have a backup copy. 4. KNOWN ISSUES: None currently known. If you find any bugs or problems, please let me know. 5. This mod is compatible with KOTOR 1 Community Patch (K1CP). I recommend installing my mod after K1CP. If you want to use KotOR 1 Restoration (K1R), you need to install this mod after K1R. This mod can be installed alongside JC's Romance Enhancement: Pan-Galactic Flirting for K1, however you will not be able to get Viglo's comment about the player character's body regardless of the player character's gender. 6. 12. View File KotOR 1 No Gendered Dialogue from Male NPCs =KotOR 1 No Gendered Dialogue from Male NPCs= A KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC MODIFICATION AUTHOR: Leilukin FILE NAME: K1_No_Gendered_Dialogue_Male_NPCs.7z LATEST VERSION: 1.2 CONTACT: E-mail to leilukin@outlook.com, or message to Leilukin on Deadly Stream 1. 4. 13. I know many different people have asked this question, but how do you create a Lightsaber duel or blaster fight in dialogue files via scripting in a controlled manner. When I say this I mean choosing the NPC's attacks like force lightning or flurry. Thanks in advance.

Author: Kainzorus Prime Mod Name: PC Response Moderation ************************* Under NO circumstances is this, or any of my other, mod(s) to be posted on ANY site other than by myself. ************************* 1. Info =========== Ever since my first playthrough, I always found some of the PC responses to range from jarring to downright idiotic. Mainly the ones ending with exclamations. The light side responses sounded childish, naive and overly enthusiastic at random points, rather than adhere to a code which said to moderate emotions. The dar kside responses on the other hand lacked any sort of finesse, and sounded like they were spoken by a perpetually angry pubescent child. This mod was designed to tone down these particular sets of responses by removing the exclamations and replacing them with fullstops, and/or rewriting the lines to more apropriate ones. 2. Instalation: ========= Unpack the dialog.tlk file into the main KotOR directory. When asked to overwrite the original, select yes. 3. 16. Hello all, Long time KOTOR fan, first time forum poster. I had an idea for a (hopefully fairly) simple mod that would (again, hopefully) make a playthrough a little bit different. So to set the scene, one thing I also thought KOTOR 1 was missing was a bit more depth in what you could be. A prime example of this was the questions Bastila asked you when you were on Dantooine. This is a quick copy + paste from the KOTOR Strategy Wiki: Bastila: First, what kind of background do you have? Answers: 1. Nothing extravagant. I'm a soldier. 2. I was a scout. The fleet recruited me for my skills. 3. I was a smuggler before I joined the fleet. (Plus the ones that piss her off) Bastila: Good. On which planet were you born? Answer: Deralia. It's in a remote system. Why? Bastila: Excellent. Your current age is? Answer: Wasn't all this in my service records? Now I don't know about you guys but that seems all quite shallow choices - particularly for a Bioware game. So what if for example, it was something more like this: Bastila: Good. On which planet were you born? Player: Answer 1. Deralia. It's in a remote system. Answer 2. Nar Shaddaa. It was very rough to grow up in. Answer 3. Coruscant. Grew up in the big city and saw all the galaxy had to offer. Answer 4. Naboo. Very quiet and very peaceful, nothing too much happened there. Answer 5. Kashyyyk. I'm a Wookiee… can't you tell? Just by adding the choices, you get to add a little bit more of a backstory to your character. The same can be applied to the background, so for example if the background was for a soldier. 1. Nothing extravagant. I'm a soldier. Just graduated from the academy. 2. Was a mercenary for a while, thought I would sign up with the Republic before I got into too much trouble etc. Dunno if anyone else thinks the same way about this, but I would love to lend assistance for mod development/mod this myself. Would anyone want this/have any other ideas?
  17. I am trying to edit the .mod files in the game, at least some of them. I know that many of the files in the game, whether they are dialogue, .utc, ,uti, or etc, share the same name. This can create an issue when you want to edit one in particular. I want to be shown how to edit the .mod files so I can rename a particular dialogue, .utc, .uti, and etc file and edit it with aspects like scripts or adjusting inventory or saying I want so the game will recognize it as a separate file and provide them. I have already tried everything in KOTOR Tool and Mod Project Tool. Can someone please tell me what I need to do and which program I need to use. Please provide step-by-step instructions. For an example I will use the dialogue file sc16_converse. There are two of them. One is located in 10. ebo_m40aa_s.rim and the other in STUNT_16_s.rim. I need to rename one of the copies so they will be recognized as separate for the TSLPatcher and the Override Folder. I was told to use the K-Giff program to locate but I cannot find them after using the program. I download all the mod files (the ARE, GIT, and IFO Files) from both s.rim modules with KOTOR Tool but then when I searched for the sc16_converse file there was nothing there. I have included a screenshot of the search I have tried looking at topics from others who faced the same issue but could not understand them. I may have made a topic about this myself once but was not getting any replies so I wanted to try again. I ask to please be shown how to locate the files I am looking for and how to edit the labels and values to what I want. That way I can rename one of the dialogue files then change the value in the .mod to match it. That way I can place both all the files in the Override Folder and be able to use them both at once with the changes I made. Please provide step-by-step instructions. Thank you in advance.

  20. Quick question - I've been working on some VO recording for droid dialogue and I'm getting to the point now where I'd like to start testing VO volume and quality in-game. What kind of VO filters are generally used for droids? Protocol/sales droids specifically? I'm currently using Audacity to record VO's into MP3 format.
  21. View File TSLRCM Dialog Overhaul Description of "TSLRCM Dialog Overhaul": This modification strives to correct the most noticeable errors and inconsistencies found in the dialog.tlk file of The Sith Lords Restored Content Mod (TSLRCM). 23. I have tried everything to make my Force Power mods compatible: installing them in different order, merging the .2da files, using the TSLPatcher, everything without any success. Several share the same spells.2da lines. Merging them mixes them up as does different order installation order. So I created a single one and added lines for all Force Powers. However I know I must change the line in their scripts to match my file. Consider the Four Force Powers Mod. You can see in image 1 it normally is in rows 132-144. However in my file it is in rows 135-146. I need to know how to edit the scripts to match the mods to the new rows. I can open the .ncs script files and .nss script files. But need to be shown where to look to find it and match the rows. Also if I replace the spells.2da file in each mod with mine will that make it easier for the mod to run as there would be nothing to change in the Override folder? I have placed everything in the zip folder below. The links to the mods are listed in the enclosed text document so you can look at them yourself. I ask to be shown how to edit scripts to match my spells.2da. I only need to be shown for one power. Once I get the experience one I can repeat the process for the rest myself. I give full credit to the respected authors. Please give me all help that you can. Thank you in advance. Mods And Spells.2da Files.zip
  24. I almost always do alien playthroughs in kotor I and II--I just think it's more interesting. Playing as an alien works much better in the first game than it does in the second one, however. Both games have some pretty awesome mods that let you look like an alien, but there are a few mods that only exist for kotor I (as far as I'm aware) that kotor II could really use. One of them is a sounsets mod, which allows you to go into KSE and replace the default soundset with an alien one. The second one is Alien DLG Correction, which replaces the word 'human' in dialogue with an alien species of your choosing (I think they have around 4 options, if I remember correctly). I've made a few attempts at both of these, but they have been unsuccessful thus far--I'm pretty inept when it comes to modding this game. How difficult do you think making mods like these is? If it isn't too insanely difficult, I'll keep trying, but if it's pretty hard I may as well not. If you want a reference for my skill at modding this game... just take that of a 3 year old child, and there you go... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  25. I am having a huge problem with Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic. I understand that you can edit the featgain.2da and classpowergain.2da files to edit how many feats and force powers you gain at each level-up. However the problem for me is that whenever I try to use the recommend button to get a suggestion of which to go with the game freezes and crashes. That is not a large problem as I can easily get around it by just selecting the desired for powers myself. The main problem that I have is this. Say I have 10 feats to select but there are only 5 left available. When I have selected those 5 and try to move on the game tells me to select five more and will not let me proceed until I have selected all 10. But I cannot do that when there are no more feats available. That means I cannot go any further in the game. The same thing happens when I try to select force powers. I cannot fix this problem myself no matter how many times I edit the featgain.2da and classpowergain.2da files as my other party members automatically have specific feats and/or force powers when they join my party. Therefore there is no way that I can set the .2da files to grant exactly all the feats and force powers at the level 20 level-up because what will work for one party member including myself will not work for them all. I used to not have this problem. When I had selected all the feats and/or force powers I would be able to proceed to the next step of the level-up even if I had more numbers to select. I want to be able to do this again so I can actually play the entire game. I have tried everything to get it work now, such as reinstalling the game: changing the compatibility settings, everything and I have had absolutely no success. I ask anyone who can help me with this to please do so as soon as possible. Please help me with both problems including a way to make the recommend button again as well as let me move on no matter what once all feats and/or force powers have been selected. In case the issue may come from any of the .2da files that I use in my override folder I have attached them below. If you find a problem with them please let me know right away. Thank you in advance. .2da Files.zip
