  1. I may not fully understand what your pics are showing, but perhaps you can force the alpha to be transparent by making a TXI with "blending punchthrough" text. Basically that makes it transparent albeit with a small fringe.
  2. Try the Nvidia optimization thread http://deadlystream.com/forum/topic/1545-nvidia-gfx-guide/?fromsearch=1 . I used those settings, and have had few crashes and no more graphical anomalies.
  3. Loove the DarkSide transitions on the last pic. However, one thing I noticed on the last two especially. The ears don't match the darks of the skin, and as a result look too bright. That said, your character is so well characterized, it simply makes me want to play as her just to see her conversations as a psycho Sith lord. :]
  4. Absolutely. People seem to also forget that the Jedi Knight series originally started with Dark Forces. (Except that fans got easily bored with it, due to how over-saturated the FPS market was) Lightsabers have sadly become a cliche in Star Wars, and are now ingrained in public consciousness to where it's difficult to show Star Wars without them. Artistically, I loved Republic Commando for bringing the same fantastical level of futuristic tech without pandering to the level of requiring a laser duel. Star Wars 1313 seemed to be delivering on the futuristic criminal underworld perspective, which is a rather unique perspective for Star Wars, excluding games like Bounty Hunter, which had you in the role as a Hunter of those ne're-do-wells. There is an entire layer of the Star Wars mythos that is all-but untouched, yet could provide some great storytelling and gameplay without inventing new Force feuds to give the player motivation.
  5. Create your own adventure: $29.99 to receive the mystical Override folder for access to user-created mods available at EA stores. Also,
  6. Looks great. Honestly I never noticed how messy Ewan McGregor's facial hair was in the movies, but you captured that unkempt look rather well. Also regarding DS transitions, I believe there was some concept art from a certain Battlefront, that may have had a "Darth Obi Wan character .
  7. Well, funny story.. I was looking through your mods to find your Endar Spire mod, and came across exactly what I was thinking about. http://deadlystream.com/forum/files/file/526-panel-overhaul-animated-mass-effect-edition/ (As the first image on the page no less. XD) The communication console in Citadel Station was the placeable of which I spoke. Since I first laid eyes on them a decade ago, I have hated them.. So, I guess, good work on that too..
  8. The creator was Sharen Thrawn, I believe. I've tried to get in contact with them in the past, but have gotten no response.
  9. I agree with Kexikus about Coruscant needing a good establishing shot during the Ebon Hawk landing scene. However, I was thinking more along the lines of first having the typical flying toward the planet that we've all seen before, except in the second scene, showing either from the Hawk's perspective or a static shot of the Jedi Temple framed against the rest of the Coruscant skyline (With it in the middle of the shot as you typically see in the Prequels). The final scene where the Hawk is actually approaching the landing pad would probably be a mostly static shot looking toward the skyline as the Hawk lands. For musical choice, I was thinking something with a lot of bombast and brass, so similar to M4-78 (The original mix) or the part of Darth Nihilus' music where the brass section really starts to heat up. (Sorry it's kind of vague, but I can't really describe a piece of music too aptly)
  10. I vote for the notion of him converting physical damage into Force Points that was discussed in the thread. I would also say that maybe giving him "phases" in battle where he Force Drains your party and stuns them for a few rounds would also be a cool unique ability. I think there should be a higher focus on fighting him with the assumption that just blindly hitting him with a lightsaber will quickly lead you to your doom. -- Force Crush would also be a cool "focused attack" for him to have. (Also mentioned in the thread) Maybe for an AOE that isn't Drain, Force Blight??
  11. I'm going to have to start making requests for specific placeables that have been bugging me forever that I think you could make look incredible. Those bacta tanks look phenomenal!
  12. Thanks I'm currently working on making those optionals more attractive. My WIP thread has pics as I make more progress with them.
  13. @Vegan Meat One thing that has been overlooked in your first point is that there is a HUGE difference between free-use software or property and something uploaded with an explicit disclaimer stating the author's wishes that it not be shared without their express permission. The only difference is that their disclaimer has no "teeth" when it comes to people violating it, since they may not have the means fight back. Their express wishes are in plain text. They don't want it to be shared like this. All artwork on the internet is treated this way, so why should this be different?
  14. I might be able to offer my services.
  15. Wow! You managed to make Gerevik more useful AND made the Jedi Enclave twice as interesting! Great work, especially on writing Gerevik. That dialogue was appropriate and perfect for his datapad.
  16. In a short answer, most used stock photos and added them on top of the textures. However, some digital artists use Layers to literally build realistic hair by using each subsequent layer to add detail and highlights until it looks nearly identical to a stock photograph. Edit___ Here's an in-depth tutorial I found to achieve what I'm describing. http://www.cgsociety.org/index.php/CGSFeatures/CGSFeatureSpecial/tutorial_how_to_paint_realistic_hair
  17. Thanks I'm getting there. It has just been gradual as I learn these new tools and work to get my textures to DDS quality.
  18. Thank you so much, for doing this! Not only because it will stop people from uploading mods without authors permission, but also because I am myself kind of uninformed regarding how it works. Great to see some fun humorous dialogue to boot.
  19. Is there any way to sticky or otherwise explain why most mods can't and shouldn't be installed with Steam Workshop? I know a few people are making their lives more difficult by installing them without being warned. I remember FS giving a "computery" explanation, but I have looked, and can't seem to find it.
  20. Ogg.. It's a nightmare out there. (Steam Workshop) I have people complaining that my textures are crashing the game... What!?
  21. My mistake. :/ That's still kind of clumsy, then. The hostiles never used any charges I could see. Which begs the question, how did they get in? (Which also requires one to know how the Sith Troopers get in during the Peragus escape, considering you would have closed the landing ramp before facing the enemies with the cannons; also if THEY used charges to get in, then how is the Hawk still spaceworthy for the escape into the asteroids?) This is causing a bigger dilemma the more I think about it...
  22. "This door has been sealed due to a hull breach and will not open"
  23. Ah. Well, that might explain everything.. Yeah, I slightly tilted the camera in all of my renders to make the ground look lower. Onderon just had less tilt. Thanks so much for the help. I will let you know soon how it looks.
  24. Yeah. Especially since *someone is making the necessary changes.
