I want to learn how to create lightsaber hilts . . .

Atton permenantly dark side! help!

You'd be missing some content from Peragus and it's never a good idea to install TSLRCM mid-playthrough... -
Crash on Endar Spire in Kotor 1
Fair Strides replied to Todd Hellid's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
When was the last time you played the Endar Spire prior to having this issue? Where exactly does the game crash( As Trask is saying his line, as he's moving, when Bandon shows up, when Trask is in the room, as/after the door's closing, .etc)? Have you looked at the Anti-Aliasing, Anisotropic Filtering, Soft Shadows, Shadows, Grass, and Frame Buffer Effects? Have you changed your hardware since you last restarted the game (before this crashing business)? And in the future, please use the layout from this post as a guide for posting and please keep just one thread for all of your compatibility issues. -
Crash on Endar Spire in Kotor 1
Fair Strides replied to Todd Hellid's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Well I don't know... What mods do you have installed? -
My favorite thing was probably working on the Pazaak Tournament, since I got to have fun with the dialog and set-up (and there's always the Holo-Roster). My least favorite would probably be a tie between re-building the Tournament those three times... and adding everything to the dialog.tlk... Or making the installer...

Can you link me to the mod? And I can't really "allow" a mod to be compatible, as a work like that would probably need to just be re-done with K1R's files, assuming we haven't done that mod's job already.

Ah... we'll get this patched up ASAP... For now, you'd just need to extract the global.jrl from KotOR Tool.

Well, the shapeshifter you mentioned is for the Genoharadan. And The Republic has a recording showing Sunry's killing Elassa, Sunry admits to doing so, and in the Sith Base there is a datapad where Elassa said the she'd be killing Sunry the night Sunry killed her...

Bugs and minor inconveniences with TSLRCM 1.8.4
Fair Strides replied to Hassat Hunter's topic in TSLRCM
Also, bugs 2 and 3 might be a hardware issue if it's not Frame Buffer effects. I know that when I had an Intel card those visual overlays and Stealth thing weren't supported and so I got what you had. -
Being that it's a single-saber, there are four instances of the texture reference in the .mdl file. My guess is that you might have missed one or two...

Ask the Developer of Revenge of Revan....a Question.
Fair Strides replied to Logan23's topic in Revenge of Revan
Logan stated back a few years that he'd started this mod before the Dromund Kaas stuff and anything after KotOR 2 was ever made, so he was not following any established canon with his mod. Somehow, I don't think he'll work it in mid-story. -
So... Does anyone know why a sound file might not play in-game or be silent in-game?
-
It's a VO splice. The "Keep close" part of the line where Jolee tells you to follow him to his camp.
It's following the game's standards by being and MPEG Layer 3 Audio compressed sound file and renamed as a .wav and it's a mono file with, according to Audacity, 32000Hz.
-
Ughhhh.... uhmmmm... have you tried converting the MP3 (with its original .mp3 ending) to a WAV or an AIFF and then back to an MP3 again, then renaming it as a WAV again? That's all I got off the top of my head.

That would probably be the safest route.

Hey guys! We're coming up close on the K1R 1.0 release and decided that we'd probably get a trailer together to showcase what all happens with the mod, and for you to show your friends when you try to convince them to use the mod... I have to thank Rece for getting the footage when I wasn't able to get the Widescreen working and Darth Tyren for compiling everything into the trailer. I also need to thank InSidious for helping with music for the trailer, though sadly none of the pieces ended up fitting the scenes... , and Sith Specter for making the images with the KotOR font from the game's logo.

"Echani General Yusanis" should probably be "the Echani General Yusanis" and "in her mothers robe" needs and apostrophe before the 's' in "mothers". Besides that, the only thing I'd point out is that the robe was brought back by Yusanis IIRC, so the crystal could have been put in at any time. Also, as a helpful tip: When making a long post like this, you might try the spoiler tags around the Crystal info for each crystal (leave the name out of the spoiler area). To use spoilers, type "

Rule 8, Section 6: "If you want to add something to a thread that you have recently posted in, and no one else have made any new posts in, edit your last post in the thread instead of creating a new one. If several days have passed where no one has posted anything and you have something substantial to add to the thread you may make a new post instead." By the terminology above, if you have the last post in the topic and there isn't a several(three)-day gap between the two, you are supposed to edit the post instead of posting again. Were this rule not observed, would you not end up with two recent posts in a thread? And is that not the definition of double-posting?

1. Nice signature, Lucy! 2. I think if you disable the HK-50 line first and then use the terminal next to the HK-51s to upgrade your behavioural template or something like that, the HK-51s will recognize you as "The Progenitor".

Well, if you need any help at all with setting it up, I'm more than happy to help. I can at least help you prepare to make the installation.

Does anyone know how to turn off the color-coding when you post a piece of code? It's getting a bit hard to read all the dark colors with the blacks and grays of the site...

Fair Strides replied to Fair Strides's topic in General Kotor/TSL Modding
Well, if we're going to be technical and cover all of our bases, this ought do it, and in ONE ( ) script: Though, this will require you putting the Override value in as well, so an example is: "tutorial_garage;89;0;" Again, I'd actually have to test it, as I'm almost certain I'm screwing everything up with the iPosition -1 and iPosition + 1 pieces... -
Given the tiling effect of floor textures, I'd think you'll want to go from the middle of one tile to the middle of the other tile, both vertically and horizontally. Something like this, I'd imagine (though a lot cleaner and the scale of the curves to the height is probably off...):

Oh, it is! I just need to finish K1R 1.0 and then in the breathing room before Sleheyron begins in earnest, I'll be working with Malkior to implement this on Dantooine as a true public teaser. AKA: Don't worry. I just need to get off my lazy ass and do something.
