  1. For the "override", you'd just need to add ", TRUE" at the end of the AddJournalQuestEntry function. I originally had added that, but Klexikus had asked about that not happening, so I made it not able to occur.
  2. Normally, I would be inclined to agree with you, HH, but my version should do the same thing but allow for doing multiple quests in the same script with the bar minimum of effort on the modder's part. Offhand, the only way it works is because the GFF Field for the Script String Parameter is a CEXOSTRING, so it doesn't have a real limit on length...
  3. I don't know which game Klexikus is referring to, but wouldn't this script you mentioned require the ScriptStringParameter from the TSL DLG Format?
  4. So I shouldn't say I'm old and wise in the ways of mod versions, yet?
  5. Okay, is this for K1 or K2? If it's KotOR 1, this will work: For KotOR 2, I got a little crafty with the engine...: NOTE: In the DLG Editor, you'll need to put the number of quests you are updating into the first Script Parameter box (as a number). In the Script String Parameter box in DLG Editor, for each quest you'll need to put the tag of the quest followed by a ; then the ID of the quest entry, again followed by a ;. An example would be: "tutorial_garage;89;" without the quotes. This is the Tutorial Garage mission and the last entry in the quest. Please note also that the above hasn't been fully tested, so it could use some tweaking. If so, please contact me via PM. You'll also need to put the name of the script (I have it saved as "k2_quest_update") in the Script slot that you put the parameters in. And all of those SendMessageToPC messages will be found on your Feedback screen in-game.
  6. Assuming you're referring to either scripts or the Quest fields in the DLG Editor... If the Quest fields, those only work forwards, meaning that you can only increase a quest's progress to a higher state. To go lower would require scripting. To do multiple quests would require scripting. I can tell you the scripting if you need it.
  7. Almost correct: Some languages have Male and Female tenses/grammar rules, and so the male ones are stored in dialog.tlk and the female ones in dialogf.tlk. I don't honestly know if it matters much, and we could both be right. As to fixing it, the only way you could fix it is to add the strings to the dialog.tlk file, make an un-edited copy of the global.jrl file, make your JRLEdit edits in the NON-copy version, and then use TLKEd and make an append.tlk file to use with the TSLPatcher... That part I could help with if necessary, though.
  8. Yes... This is because when you edit the text for the title or one of the quest entries, JRLEdit saves the text as a Male English Localized String instead of a StringRef TLK entry. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, except for what I can only really describe in a screenshot:
  9. Yes it will. But the .mod files in KotOR 1 and 2 are the levels. The .bik files are the movies.
  10. I'll PM it to you tomorrow. It's 2:01AM here.
  11. Try pasting what's in the spoiler below into the .reg file (delete what's in there first.):
  12. In THAT case... (Now speaking from proper experience) You'll need to paste a screenshot of the actual .reg file (when opened in Notepad) for me to really help, but there's a section of the registry for 32-bit programs on a 64-bit machine...
  13. For the record, is your system a 64-Bit version of Windows?
  14. You asked about image sites so I'm assuming it's been uploaded to a site. In that case, when you quote my post, click on the button on the second row, 11th from the left. Then paste the link to your image.
  15. DS doesn't have an issue with Imgur or Photobucket if that helps. And can you send me a picture of your .reg file and the entry in the Windows Registry? (open the Start Menu, if XP hit "Run..." and type "regedit" and hit enter; if 7, click All Programs, type Run in the search box, hit enter, then type "regedit" and hit enter. Then navigate to the path as laid out in the .reg file)
  16. You may have to restart the computer. And it being what it is, did you make sure the path(s) in the file (open it in Notepad) were where your game(s) were located?
  17. That is a cut level from the game, which would need to be made from scratch to be usuable in-game. Also, they aren't being restored by K1R because there is nothing but rumors as to what was supposed to be there in the first place. (I personally believe the Sarlacc theory, but as I said, the rumors... )
  18. Not realistically possible. I could make a tool to rename the files that TSLRCM uses so that they aren't valid by the game, but you couldn't switch this mid-playthrough, and any files (like the 2da files) that are heavily modified would be a bit too risky to rename if you have other mods installed. The best way to really do it is to install KotOR 2 twice, once in one location and once in another. Then install TSLRCM to one of them and don't do that for the other.
  19. 1. Can't tell you that. (Not saying that to be a jerk, just my answer to anyone who asks) 2. No, I believe due to lack of content with HK's lines... 3. Need to animate it if possible. 4. Unknown, though I don't see it going past 1.1 or 1.2...

    Requests

Oh that is gold! And somewhat true for K1R...
  21. No, you were asking where KotOR 2 would be installed... The KotOR 2 folder (most likely "Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords" or something close) would be in the "common" folder. You'd select the KotOR 2 folder and then continue with the installation.
  22. If you know where your Steam is installed, go there and then go into the "steamapps" and then "common"
  23. The SWKotOR one was an example. Basically, direct it to where KotOR is installed. Also, you will indeed be using the last extract option.
