Here you go. I lost my original Preset, but I've recently remade it specifically for Reshade 3.0 If you like, I can create a few different versions for the older iterations (Without the in-game menu) as well. Recolor with Bloom trimmed version 5-29.rar It has bloom and lumasharpen which can be disabled via the menu (Shift-F2) while in game. If you want a more in-depth tutorial on how to mix and match effects, I can provide that as well.

Perhaps you could compromise and have him at roughly shoulder height instead of the default Bothan (hip height) size we see in the default game? ..Though to be fair, he could also be about the size of a Jawa, and the image of Calo fighting a Jawa hand to hand would be priceless.

I finally got a chance to read the readme, and I'm a bit confused. Does the tool diagnose problems or is it just to be used for repair? My scans are coming up negative and I've had no crashes since the event in question. How should I proceed?

You have a point. I agree that in-depth thought about realism in a theoretical scenario surrounding a fully artificial game level seems superfluous at first, but please bear in mind that toiletries would add little to nothing for gameplay opportunities. (other than a toilet cleaning minigame, but who wants that? ) However, I feel this is a bit different than finding "problems" with the realism. My personal belief is that fleshing out a viable economy other than the cliche' Cantinas and Swoopracing seen everywhere on other worlds could make for unique quest opportunities and possible ways to connect the gameplay to its grossly underutilized setting. Needless to say, I also believe this is the case for Onderon as well, but that is a topic for a different thread.

How did I miss this topic?! Expanding on Nar Shadaa's economy would do so much for my own personal view of the world. Since the average civilian isn't capable of purchasing food monetarily, I think a marketplace of various goods directed toward off-world travelers or entertainment centers (virtual speeder bike racing/ something equally meaningless) could possibly work as well. To be fair though, most of the economy for somewhere like Nar Shadaa would more likely than not be of the nefarious kind, (slavery, illicit substances, black-market weapons, etc..) but it could also export some sort of chemical or substance found in its infamous core. (Nar Shadaa must have had a decent economy before all of the criminal empires arrived and took over, right?) It could also have some sort of holo-performance industry not unlike the Twisted Rancor Trio from Taris to keep offworlders coming to line its numerous proprietors' pockets. Is there already a build in the works? I am quite intrigued by this mod idea, and would love to see what you're thinking of.

You could put a comma between "core" and Apeiron" in the last sentence, but that would be a matter of sentence flow rather than the reason I chose. In English, a comma before the conjunction (in this case, "and") is also generally used to separate two statements that are being used as one sentence. Example: Kotor is pretty old yet it still holds a classic appeal for me. (the comma would be before "yet" in this example sentence) It is fascinating that this isn't a universal rule for some other languages, though.

If we're going to play that game, there are also a slew of grammar errors in that screenshot as well. In the second sentence, "Engine refresh" should be "Engine refreshes". That same sentence is also missing a comma after 80's, as it is composed of two statements. The next sentence is also two statements yet has no comma after "Half Life". (technically the word "Half-Life" should also be hyphenated, but that's getting into pedantry) The next sentence would either need a semicolon instead of a comma after "refresh", or it could be separated into two sentences. The next portion of the sentence would then have a comma between "Aperion" and "since". Lastly, "it's" should be "its". (the most egregious offence in my opinion) EDIT- Hm... It seems I missed one. The phrase "in the Unreal Engine 3" is technically wrong, and should either be "in the Unreal engine" or "in Unreal Engine 3". This is because "Unreal Engine 3" is technically a proper noun.

I'm conflicted by this post. While on one hand I absolutely like the visual style, it is fairly obvious that the actual implementation of quests and dialogue were overlooked or simply haven't been added. This is a huge problem on account that a majority of the game is composed of these elements notwithstanding an RPG combat system.. If they go the low road and just port the quests, dialogue, combat system, and scripts from Kotor then they're shooting themselves in the foot and will be possibly hit with a copyright lawsuit. However, if they actually hope to port Kotor into a far more expansive visual medium, then they would be better off showing videos of the characters in action than what is literally a "pretty sandbox"

When I restarted my computer, I saw the diagnostic tool as an option and it returned no memory issues. I am unsure of how to proceed or why it crashed those many times, earlier. My performance has also oddly improved as well...

The only place I found that pronounces Mandoa audibly was the Republic Commando game in which the characters themselves would say some random words, and at least three of its soundtrack songs are sung in full Mandalorian. In order to find them, the words found in character dialogue can be identified in the subtitles, and the full lyrics for its songs are available and translated online.

Which memory test are you referring to? The only one I can think of is the DirectX Diagnostic tool.

As of a week ago, my home desktop has been getting serious hardware errors (bluescreen of death, specifically), and performance has degraded to nearly the point of programs flat-out freezing at some points. Unfortunately, this is my only computer I can mod with, so I have to repair it in order to continue making the mods I already started. I have only a very limited amount of experience in repairing computers, so I might need some one-on-one assistance in actually fixing it. All I can really tell is that after turning my computer on after about a week away, it showed the infamous Bluescreen of Death and restarted. After the restart, I installed the newest Malwarebytes on the off chance that my AV (Avast) missed something but that returned negative, save some PUPS (potentionally unwanted programs) from an AV I installed a while back which has never caused me these kinds of problems. After the scan, my computer worked fine for a few hours until it restarted via another Bluescreen error with the new issue that my internet adapter suddenly stopped functioning. This happened an additional time following. Here are my computer's Physical Specs System Manufacturer:Gigabyte Technology Co, LTD Model:GA-MA78LM-S2 Total Amount of System Memory:2.00 GB RAM System Type:32-bit Operating System Number of Processor Cores:3 64-bit Capable:Yes Storage Total Size of Hard Disk(s):2403 GB Disk Partition (C:)74 GB Free Disk Partition (D:)10GB Free Media Drive (E:)CD/DVD Disk Partition (F:)636 GB Free (1863 GB Total) Graphics Display Adapter Type:Nvidia GeForce GT 640 Total Available Graphics Memory:2814 MB Dedicated Graphics Memory:2048 MB Dedicated System Memory:0 MB Shared System Memory:766 MB Display Adapter Driver Version:10.18.13.6881 Primary Monitor Resolution:1600x900 DirectX Version:DirectX 10 If need be, I have the Windows 7 disk I bought nearby to reinstall/wipe the Hard Drive, but I hope it doesn't come to that. Additionally, I'm in the market to find a decent priced laptop with similar specs, so if you have any potential ideas, I'd be interested in hearing about them.

Just got a recurring Bluescreen error on my modding computer. Thankfully I was planning on getting a Laptop just not this soon..

4.99 for Empire at War FOC. Finally I can play the Thrawn's Revenge mod. =)

I think your choice of just redoing the entire texture was the best part of your reskin, so it'd be unfortunate if you did a pallete-swap for Hanharr Also, not to rush you into doing a bunch of textures, but the rest of the Wookies in Kotor are in sore need of a similar treatment. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to your future texture endeavors.

So far I am very pleased with the look you've developed for him. My only suggestion might be to fluff the hair on the sides of his head a bit more, as is the case with Chewbacca Other than that, I am quite fond of this look, and am quite impressed as I have tried editing these textures myself with disastrous results, so I know what a pain it is to retexture them.

Fair Strides worked tirelessly on K1R, for the record. I imagine there was a very good reason for the dialogue being what it is, or they were left over from the old mod, and he somehow missed them. It's also possible that these many bugs were the reason FS decided to scrap Caalin in the first place, since fixing it would have needlessly extended the time it took to finish K1R for essentially a character that was never in the original story or design. (and thus went against the R in K1R)

Not that I want to be purely cynical, but I think Disney is using this as a way to shoehorn in their new "sith" history for Snoke and all of the more contemporary lore by using the now vacant Old Republic Era. Plus, Kotor drew such a fan base that it would spell potentially more people exposed to their new lore, and more money from a new game trilogy people are already interested in.

Yes! I finally got a Blog Update Notification in my e-mail! I've been trying to get it to work for so long....

FRAPS . . . and really old Star Wars games on Steam
Malkior replied to Sith Holocron's topic in Star Wars
No problem. I'm happy to share it, as it fixed all of the problems I was having with JKE and running the cutscene movies; and hopefully it might help others as well. -

I don't understand it fully, but here's the link I found. https://www.play-old-pc-games.com/compatibility-tools/dgvoodoo-tutorial/ From what I understand, it's a wrapper program like NGlide for games like Dark Forces. I was searching for ways to boost the graphics and fix some glitches and stumbled onto the site. -

Malkior replied to Sith Holocron's topic in Star Wars
For me, Dark Forces 2 kept having trouble running cutscenes as they rendered outside of the game until I installed DGVoodoo and ran it from that. Perhaps due to DGVoodoo being a wrapper and how it could run the cutscenes without having them render outside the game, FRAPS might run them properly with it installed. -
Interesting. Well, regardless I'm glad you got it to work.

I have a properly working copy of JKII, but it is heavily modded with JKE and runs off of DgVoodoo (it allows me to use a Reshade preset I'm making) Does your mod have advanced installation instructions for modded or injector setups?

Well, your bumpmap texture has to be properly formatted for one. I know from experience that those can cause crashes. Plus, you have " umpyshinytexture" whereas, I believe it should be "bumpyshinytexture"
