Cool, I had no idea these were still in the game.
  2. I've had a fairly large KotOR I content mod in the works for a while now, which I am close to putting into open beta. Because of the nature of the mod, it modifies five quite significant files in the game, which I imagine are used by quite a lot of other mods. I've been trying to use TSLPatcher to attach extra entries to the .dlg files, but this is turning out to be very fiddly to get right, and I'm close to giving up on that idea. Frankly, it's holding up release. So, I want to assess how serious the level of incompatibility will be if I don't patch these files in the way I've intended. That's where this thread comes in, as I need help compiling a list of mods which use these files, and I could also use help in assessing how widely these mods are used. Here is the list of files edited, and the list of mods I'm currently aware of which edit them: 1. dan13_belaya.dlg - Juhani's Dark Robe by ChAiNz.2da 2. kas25_wraid.utc - Two new lightsabers by Achilles 3. kor35_utharwynn.dlg - Korriban Academy Workbench by Darth InSidious* 4. kor39_utharwynn.dlg ? 5. unk44_sparty.dlg - KotOR Skills Rebalancing Mod by Thrak Farelle Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. *I will either make a compatibility patch, or restructure the scripts for my new mod to account for this one.
  3. A good list. Thanks for compiling it, Malkior. I'd add that the generic background starscape could probably use an overhaul. Also, the non-beam effects for stun, drain life, shock/lightning/storm etc. (fx_tex_ filenames), could use an overhaul. The problem is that their .txis as exported from KT do not work, so you end up with a static effect. I don't know if it's the TPC-TGA conversion which is mucking them up, or if something else is going on, but I haven't been able to make them work when edited, and to be honest they probably need a proper replacement, though I've not really tried this yet, myself.

The .uti's are of different kinds and do different things.

    Sonic Screwdriver

Mmm... nope. Models should be the same, but I didn't set the KotOR II one to overwrite models/textures, so you may have to manually install those if you're also using Azgath's tomb.
  6. Thanks! Unfortunately, your suggested second mod is unlikely. This one only required altering two .tgas, whereas that one would require the altering of the GUI itself. Sorry.
  7. Thanks for uploading my files so quickly, SH.

  8. File Name: Sonic Screwdriver File Submitter: InSidious File Submitted: 20 Oct 2014 File Category: Mods Description The sonic screwdriver comes from the planet Gallifrey, in the constellation of Kasterborus, in a galaxy far, far away. Not only can it unscrew and unlock things, it also has its uses as a weapon, particularly against machines. Damage Bonus, Sonic +2 Damage Bonus vs. Droids, Ion +1-4 Repair +2 To get it in-game, it can be purchased from Crattis Yurkal on Dantooine. Alternatively, you can get it by typing "giveitem di_ssd_01" and "giveitem di_ssd_02" into the console, without quote, and hitting the return key. This mod adds two items to the game: a weapon, the stats of which are outlined above, and a useable item. The useable item will allow the player to open closed doors and unlock placeable items, dependent on scoring 15 or higher on a random number generator out of 20. If not, the effect will fizzle. The player also needs to have the sonic screwdriver weapon actually equipped at the time in order to use this. N.B.: This mod is incompatible with any other which modifies the file "dan13_crattis.dlg". Installation Double click on "Install Sonic Screwdriver for KotOR I", and hit the "Install Mod" button. Teta's Royal Band Restored ========================== by Darth InSidious ------------------ Description ----------- This mod restores Teta's Royal Band to the game. The object grants stealth field nullification. As such, it isn't actually of any use in the game at all, but it's still quite interesting. I've also restored the model for the item, which for some reason Bioware cut before they cut the item itself. It can be found in Woorwill's home on Kashyyyk, or cheated into your inventory by typing 'giveitem g_i_mask13', without the quotation marks. Installation ------------ Double click on "Install Teta's Royal Band Restored.exe", and then click "Install mod".
