      Tomorrow its the trip back to home. Visited a lot of lovely little towns, old ruins of zn early greek and roman city. Really love the history stuff. Been to Girona, toasted a live the weather is really hot for early summer.

      I know how that is. I have started a routine to help me sleep every night, but it usually still takes hours. Try drinking some milk, flex and keep your muscles flexed for 20 seconds while laying in bed, and try zzzquil or a benedryl before bed.

      Héhé, I've started to practice Tai-Chi and it helps to go through my movements, takes the tension away. But it's more a matter of the mind. I can be very restless, I tried reading, but I get so into my book I keep on reading and suddenly, 3 hrs have passed... Not good ofcourse. x-D

      Reading has always made it worst for me too. I get too engrossed in the book and lose track of time and keep telling myself "after this page/chapter".

      I have 4 pillars, with 4 ramps surrounding a platform. So I had to make sure the player can't go through these pillars.

      I added walls and made them NON-walkable. The walkmesh has 2O materials you can choose from: Dirt, Stone, Metal... Water.

       

      It was because of this NON-walk material I had this odd behaviour. I switched the walls back to Metal and only minor correction on some edges did the trick.

      But I did everything step by step, to see when and where I got faults in...

      Ah yes I Know of that site... you just don't know what else is hidden within the game files. Go read my blog entry on "Security" but thanks for mentioning the site.       It was part of an art challenge. There where a few other nice looking art pieces, but I can't find the link back.

      But this one jumped out to me. Never played SWTOR, so I can't comment if the look matches or not.

      I agree with your comment on Leia's clothes, but Luke's looks more idk, it looks like a hipster duster, than anything i came across in swtor. Yeah Quanon this is a neat piece of art, thanks for sharing it.

      I've had that happen too. As best as I remember at the moment, the only thing I can think to do is try to lightmap it again. Convert the bad sections to mesh and go through the process again.

  8. Trying to render lightmaps for my BoS Areas. 3Ds Max keeps on crashing on exporting. :-/

      That's how I got started (thanks Q!) I then got disbeliver's tutorial, but that didn't help much. I don't quite know where i went wrong.

      I'm not sure if I released the above tutorial on LF, it's a more recent one.

      I explain how to create your lightmap and also how to setup the lights, to get a nice quality.

      There used to be a Shadows of the empire mod for Jedi Academy, but it never came through, jedispy vanished. Also, there was a Jedi Knight dark forces II mod for JA, but no news since 2009...

      Thanks man! I've been trying to get the Enhanced mod to work; but I've got the Steam version. Found a good tutorial on what to do... But, the game just doesn't start when I want to use the mod. :-(

  13. Another lost battle with the walkmesh, no matter what I try it refuses to work ingame. I'll stop worrying about it, Lighmaps are priorty.

      Maybe it's not about finding bad verts. SS sent this to me in a PM: "turn your walkmesh into a poly, select all the vertexes, and hit "Weld". Weld to 0.1 cm, there was a huge difference in the number of verts before and after." Huge lifesaver.

      Also, if it refuses to work ingame, it might be that you've decompiled it in order to work on it. I remember having that problem with one of your BoS areas.

      Yes, decompiling models is bad voodoo, I've been trying to edit my old BoS areas to include lightmaps, but they crash the export script or Kaurora.

      It might be the loose verts and SS method might be the anwser.

  14. Frustrating; Kaurora 13 crashes, no emitter fun for some reason. And older version of Kaurora don't work on Win10 :- /

      As far as OS's go, if they were still selling new Windows 7 computers when it came time for me to get one, I would have that instead of 8. I don't even want to touch Win10.

  15. Major upgrade done for my PC, new mobo, memory, cpu and graphics! WIN10 just kept working, no re installing business, sweet!

      I do have an SSD, but also still a regular HD drive. I just use the SSD for Windows and a few programs like 3Ds Max and Photoshop. But the games run nicely now ^^

      What I got: Mobo => MSI Z710A PC Mate, CPU => I7-6700K with Master Cooler Hyper 212 EVO, Graphics card => MSI ALD Radeon R9 380 4Gigs and 8 Gigs Ram from Seaking? Can't remember the brand :P

      I just have this very simple "plane" model, which acts as a screen.

      I've edited the .Git file and 2DA file. Made an UTP file + model.

       

      Once the area 301NAR, the landingpad area, loads, it either crashes or it loads but my placeable is nowhere to be found.

      I've used Fairstrides Tool, to get some good coords for my placeable, it should be visible but it's not.

       

      And I've no idea about the crashes... It's pretty randome, depending from whi...

      Why don't you try putting it in the area's layout file first to see if it's the model or the whole placeable setup that's the issue.

      I find scripting is far more useful for testing placeables. Save GIT editing for the release version.

      Have fun. Too bad you won't be able to anything modding wise. Sometimes when I leave for vacation, I try to take something so I can things. But I can't always that. But that's okay. You've enough for now with mods, you deserve the vacation. They'll be waiting for you to them when you get back.

      I'll try some other stuff out. Because I'm not sure it's actually my walkmesh that is 'bugged'. Or if it something to do with adding something new to an old area model from the game. I've tried 'implanting' loose walkmeshes to my own models and that didn't work either... :-/

      Would splitting the model up into different tiers, and making each tier a room in the .git file help with the walkmeshing? If so, we can live with that, a separate walkmesh for each room...

      Yeah, from what I can see in the original model the walkmesh was a seperate room. There's a little hook in the center of the arena togother with the Aurorabase. The has a name of another model or it's all what is left of the walkmesh because of MDLops :-/

       

      Anyway I'll let the arena be 1 model as it is. I'll add in a few little cubes, out in the void to hook up with my walkmesh parts. I guess the big walkmesh is just to big to handle properly by our tools. If the smal...
