Yeah, the ultimate price was this resort villa at a paradise beach for you and the party members to hang around with. All members would hang around a certain spot. Just doing nothing much really, just like on the Ebon Hawk. Like having a sparring match with the hand maiden on the beach, having Hanharr kick a beach ball out in the ocean... Visas and Mira sun bathing at the pool... Atton hanging in the sofa, Boa Dur working on the tv set... dumb things like that. One other crazy idea was you could play the "pod" races from the game on your console in front of the tv. It would just load one of the races via a script... If that's even possible The corridor that goes up was the "loading/ spawn point", it would then transfer you back to the Hangar Bay at the ramp of the Barracuda. Walkmeshes can't cross each other, not even when you're higher up. It blocks you off like a wall. Don't think I ever got the waves to behave properly, it was one of the many emitter tests areas I made. We just lobbed this extra level in for fun. The whole mod was setup to be just a bit of fun and giggles. Very not in line with the theme of the game. Me and GloveMaster had many wild big modding plans... Ah, the fun times of being younger and having loads of free time. -

Yeah, this was a crazy idea from me and GloveMaster. You would go down to another underwater lab. The lab is in tatters; something bad happened. The classic stuff... Bit like Manaan in Kotor I. They dug to deep and greedily and released something evil. Sith Cthulhu idea with crystal Holocron thingies. Not overly original in retrospect >_> GloveMaster was also a big fan of Bioshock. Was inspiration as well. There is a 2DA file that should add lots of extra details in the module. Like chairs, tables and other furniture. I also made custom doors that worked in the game. Brings back memories :-p The lightmaps might be the cause of this. Perhaps editing those in Gimp or Photoshop might give them more POP in the game. Though hardware, graphic cards have changed as well. And might do things slightly different then in the past. The .TXI files also might have an impact on how they work. I've had issues with the "shiny bling" effect from the games not really working like it should. Looking darker as well. Anyhow, cleaning up my messy folders. You really deserve an award for that! :-) -

I had look around the WIP folder. I do still have my older 3Ds Max setup for the scenes/ animations. So it's possible to just render those again. Though I did all sort of effects within the scene itself ( engine glow and spraying dust effects) and not post in another program. For some reason this is also directly setup to render into an .AVI file... of not so great quality. I think modern stuff like Blender would be far better to get a good quality render out. Anyhow the animation of what the ship does is there, it shouldn't be to difficult to place it in the updated model of the landing bay. Not sure what would be the best approach to get the best results. Been a very long time I did any sort of stuff like that. And I had only the most basic knowledge. -

Oh, that's not necessary. You're doing the hard work of cleaning up my messy bunch of folders. I already received a lot of praise and thanks, not to mention help, from the community. Feel free to release this under your own name. Though after reading InSidious post, do mention all the other kind folks that worked on this stuff. @InSidious Man, my sincere apologies! I forgot you and Stoney also worked on this. Feel so ashamed :-o -

Hello, Nice to see to interest on my old stuff; but I'm not sure if I still have all of this on one of my older hard drives... I haven't done anything on Kotor in ages. And, yes, many of these models where compiled with an older tool. Plus I always worked in 3Ds Max, not certain if this makes things worse or not. Also, as I've mentioned before, anyone can use my stuff. No need to ask. Kotor is ancient, it's beyond ludicrous to still have the demand for permission. Giving a line in the credits is nice, but also... Not needed really. This mod will add upscaled textures for the Star Forge and Endar Spire sections of the game. Except the skies see note below. All textures are now 4x their original size. Example a 128x128 becomes 512x512, etc... I've not gone up to the 4096x4096 sizes as I don't see what that would add to this older game. A few textures do get to this size, example is the Ebon Hawk. Normal maps have also been redone, rerendered not just upscaled. It's still a 400% improvement on the older files. Enjoy! This is a small skin pack I had laying about. It just improves Calo Nord, the bounty hunter. You'll get two variants, in this pack, each has its own folder. The "Gamelook", as the name implies, is Calo in his blue vest outfit and white hat. Second folder, QsLook, is a minor recolor of my own choice. It gives him a tanned darker vest. And black hat. Other details remain just the same. He now has a mustache! I know! It just made sense to me 😄 To install; unpack and then copy the contents to your override folder. -

I really like what you have there, Sion is the brawler of the 3 lords you deal with in TSL. As djh269 mentioned he's now even more intimidating by his presence. Guess I'll have to upscale his texture as well, to match the size 😂

Thanks, Marius for the in depth reply. Honestly I'm just doing it so everything has a size increase. If it is really noticeable within the game; would require a more in depth screenshot comparison. But sadly I fear on how the game uses said normalmaps/ bumpmaps it's not going to do that much in the end. I've just included all the .txi files to be certain the game uses it all as it should. Though no idea what takes precedence when the game loads textures. Txi or TPC. Also mind the normalmaps are basically the diffuse texture I run through FilterForge. The program offers a few different "filters" to obtain a normalmap from any sort of picture. Try to match the original as best I can. In all honesty I'm not that tech savy 😅 These 2 threads here on DeadlyStream have lots of info on said subject:
