Trying to restore the Glow Rod for Kotor2

That icon column should be a fallback icon for if none can be found, most don't actually exist. I write "should" because for this one it actually has the name you're looking for. Maybe it's a non working leftover from NWN. It works with the itemclass value. It looks like you manually added g_i_glowrod01 to the itemclass column, change that back to I_GlowRod and it should use vanilla icon ii_GlowRod_001. An i (for icon) gets added to the front of the itemclass name then an underscore + Model variation (see the utc) in 3 digits. -

I've heard about it, not really tempted to try it myself, I replayed K1 not too long ago. The files are listed in the description. I don't think it's likely that another mod uses the same files, especially the ones that end with 55... but it's of course possible (I try to use obscure numbers but sometimes another mod creator tried to do the same lol). g_a_jedirobe06.uti is the item file, it changes the texture that's used to those files that end with 55. JC's Jedi Tailor can create Qel Droma robes, the item files for those do not point to 55, so those would just use the brown, red & blue textures from his mod. This mod would still change the robe that you can find in the wild, just not those tailored ones. I'll ask JC if it's ok to include a little patch option. The order doesn't matter if all files are unique.

I got the coordinates from the whereami command and I'm using a save before entering the cantina for the first time. I pretty much combined things from here. Does anyone see why it's not working?

You need to replace mus_theme_cult.wav in the streammusic folder. You can use this tool to convert an mp3 to the correct format: Short instruction: throw your mp3 in the "in" folder, run encode_music.bat, converted file will be in the "music" folder. Rename the file to mus_theme_cult.wav. Backup the original by renaming and place the new one in the streammusic folder.

Awesome tool, many thanks! Not sure if it was already spotted, but I noticed that texture changes do not stick/save in 1.0.104b, so I'm using 1.0.3 just for that. It would be great if you could fix that.

Attaching a quick little demo mod. What it does: Change the clothing of soldier mullet man to Republic soldier outfit (it doesn't change the scoundrel and scout versions). It also adds 2 texture variations that use that model. You'll need to cheat in g_a_clothes02 and g_a_clothes03 to try them out, since as a player you can normally only get g_a_clothes01. Nope, that's an engine limitation. You can add columns with KotOR Tool (by saving as xml, editing that), but it even throws them out if you save as 2da again. In TSL you can have a mod reuse the Star Forge/Revan Robe columns that were left in from K1, because they aren't used. Only one mod can do that, though.

You can't like that, g_a_clothes01.uti and g_a_clothes02.uti use the same model, only different textures. It would be great but there's no model reference in an uti file, the only model reference is the base item that points to the column in appearance.2da. Adding a column isn't a thing. Let's look at what does work, female example: This works for g_a_clothes01.uti, scoundrel is changed to the Republic soldier and scout is changed to the officer. If you add a g_a_clothes02.uti then you'd need to add additional textures (ending with 02 in the filename; N_RepSold_F02.tga, N_RepOff_F02.tga).

That should work, but if you just want to change the look of things then you can just change those values in the modelb column. You could also stick to the vanilla names, export another model and have it have the name you see in the modelb column (It's best to also change the modelname with MDL Edit, but things should work even without doing that). I think you need K-GFF if you truely want to add a new base item, because KotOR Tool won't see that new base item class so you can't pick it when you edit an item. But, it's best to edit item files (.uti) with K-GFF anyway.
