Finally got into my Deadlystream account, for those of you who haven't had contact with me about a month ago my PC started to finally break down on me, so I've been "PC-less" for the past month now.
Hopefully soon I shall have a replacement PC and I'll be getting back to work on my little projects in no time! 😉

So I've been reading some of the gaming articles on the Kotor 2 Switch DLC and thus far they've made no mention of how the DLC is based upon the TSLRCM mod and they word their articles as if Apsyr did ALL the work behind the restorations 🤦♂️

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer:

How come the mod "I don't want to be a Jedi" has no comments or review section?
-
Is it just me, or is like EVERY Kotor 2 mod on Gamefront now "missing"?

I would like to clarify that the mods of Gamefront have since been restored, the outage was probably a temporary crash with their servers like DP said.
@ajdrenterDon't upload them here, as SH stated that would be against the rules.
-
@N-DReW25 @ajdrenter That's not what I was pointing out in Rule 18. It's this:
QuoteIn cases of abandonware mods (defined as being content which is no longer publicly available and whose authors have been entirely unreachable for a duration of no less than two years), a process exists for these mods to be reuploaded as archived content on Deadlystream; the specific guidelines are included in the second reply to this thread. If you wish to submit mod that qualifies, you may submit a request to the administrators and they will proceed with the steps towards having the mod publicly uploaded.
So, you might wanna re-read the Rules pages and upload some mods in accordance to what the page says. Just in case Gamefront decides to give up the ghost again. (Next time permanently?)
-
@Sith HolocronOk, that was honestly my mistake! Shoulda checked the rules to make sure they haven't been updated before making a comment like that.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

I'm late by 8 days... but:

My M4-78 Alternate Skybox Pack has been updated!
The most recent update contains a fix to the broken Quanon Skybox from the 1.0 version and adds Loading Screens to the mod for all 3 Skyboxes.
The 3 Skyboxes you can pick are: Obsidian's original M4-78 Skyboxes, Bioware's Sleheyron Skyboxes and Stoney's M4-78 Skyboxes by Quanon.

Whose ready for some Star Wars ANIME?!?!
- Show previous comments 5 more

Well, there is a precedent for this, The Animatrix, but it's fairly old (for many people) so I don't know if many remember it. I find it ironic that everyone says Disney is "targeting the anime crowd" when anime multimedia events were somewhat common back then, and every part of this looks like the Animatrix did.
One thing I can say is, if the directors of each episode is anything close to what I saw before, we should be in for some truly unique and visually stunning takes on Star Wars as a mythos.

An afterthought I had last night, this is all going to be uploaded on Disney Plus... and much of the Star Wars content on Disney Plus has multiple languages options, and not just subtitles but FULL audio as well.
Most animes are typically Japanese because obviously its a Japanese company making said anime for a Japanese audience with English dubs being made sometime after the initial release, but even though 7 Japanese companies working on this anime Disney is still the company making this ship sail.
So I'm just guessing what on earth is going to happen in regards to what language this show is going to be in:
1) Will it be dubbed in Japanese with English subtitles like the trailer was?2) Will it be dubbed in Japanese with the option to change your VO language to another language, including English.
3) For American and English speaking Disney Plus Users, will it be dubbed in English with the option to change the language to Japanese if desired? Thus making the Japanese dubbed trailer kinda redundant in a way?
And something else I notice in certain Animes is that, for example, we see a sign written in Japanese on the wall and if the Anime has English subtitles it will show a translation of the sign. No doubt any signs or images in this anime will be written in Aurabesh which 98% of the time we Star Wars Fans don't get a translation on Aurabesh anything, so would Disney choose to have Aurabesh signs in the anime translated in English/Japanese or other languages or would they leave that out at the risk of alienating Anime fans who only have this feudal anime as their first real taste of Star Wars content.I'm overthinking this aren't I?
-
You're overthinking it. It will have both an English and Japanese dub, and I expect the Japanese dub will have subtitles. Also, there's an English dub of the trailer.
As for the player, it can switch languages and subtitles while you're in the video. It's common for a Disney+ title to be dubbed into multiple languages after production, including Japanese. All that's different in this case is two languages are recorded during production instead of one.
I don't think any signs are going to be translated, it's never happened before.

I think I am missing something very important here!
To run Xoreo's tools do I require an additional software to run it or was there additional steps I did not follow? All of the tools with .exe extensions have no icons and clicking any of them it launches a command prompt for a brief second before terminating.Am I missing something here?? 🤔
-
-
Probably a bit challenging if you're not from the DOS era.
With Windows key+R you get "Run", here you type "cmd" to launch the command prompt.
Now you need to navigate to where the programs are located.
To change drives, for example D:, you type d:
To change directory you type "cd nameoffolder".
Once you're there you can type the filename to run it, it should then give more instructions about how to use those arguments/parameters. Random example: filename.exe -argument1 argument2

Does anyone know where one can find and download the original files for the HK-Factory?
Repeat, the original, unedited, straight from Xbox, incomplete HK-Factory modules... the modules from TSLRCM have been edited and fixed up, I specifically want the original HK-Factory files for analysis reasons.-
Ask @InSidious or @Stoney
-
@Sith Holocron It appears that DarthParametric was able to lend me the files through the official Kotor Modding Discord channel.
Consider this request fulfilled.

I guess after all these years some traditions just never die...
Like releasing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II The Sith Lords just before Christmas... and just like the last time somebody has to come along and release a special mod for it to make it playable 😆

Check it out, anyone who is interested in furthering the development of the first stage of ROR and believe they are up to the task of writing dialogue and/or quests should show their interest to @Logan23

Ok, so I'm trying to update one of my mods and when the file upload reaches like 5% upload I get an error saying "-200" and after the file is just grey with "Upload Failed" written underneath it.
Does anyone know what this is?-
Doing a quick bit of Googling, from IPB's own support forum:
"The -200 error shows up generally when a PHP error we are unable to capture (such as "out of memory" or "max execution time exceeded") has occurred. PHP ends up exiting and printing out the core PHP error, and the uploader (which is a general open source uploader - we didn't write it) shows the "-200" error as a result."
This would be one that presumably only @Tyvokka can answer/address.

Me: *Edits dialogue and tries to save*
DLGEditor: *Clicking on 'File' somehow doesn't open the menu with 'save' but instead starts deleting the dialogue trees I've written*
And I thought I'd seen everything in these modding tools... -
Would anyone be willing to beta test a small content mod for Kotor 2? Reply to this status if you are!
It's fairly straight forward and as long as you have a savegame (preferably a male save, Ican provide a female save but it'll help if u have a male one) it shouldn't cause too much strain on the average player.

At last, at LONG last! K1GI has been updated. For me its currently May 5th but for those in the United States its still May the 4th so consider this my "May the 4th" gift to you.
This update and any following updates shall primarily focus on 'filling in the gaps' of any modules I have missed thus far. Once that's done I will work on the Star Forge and hopefully finish the Demo stage and move onto Beta. This particular update which has just been released also fixes most of the bugs you guys have reported, too many bugs for my liking but they've all been fixed. However, as my free time is getting crushed harder than Jabba's Rancor it has been getting difficult to properly test and create content for K1GI so please play the latest patch with a keen eye for any bugs (this includes old bugs which might not be fixed or any new bugs which have been added in the new content).
For those who'll play the mod I hope you guys have fun after the long wait.
-
If I said you'll get the 1.23.1 fix patch for K1GI within an hour that's now been changed to potentially within 24 hours or more due to my PC shutting off thanks to a black out.
-
When it is approved, my in-dev mod pack will be available to download:
Imagine the K1 Community Patch if ti was just my mods alone. That is the idea behind the Mini Mod Collection for TSL (Or MMC as I like to call it), every time I make a "mini fix" or "mini restoration" mod which does very little I will upload it to my MMC mod pack so that you, the player, can conveniently install them all at once instead of manually downloading a bunch of separate mods.
Right now, it only contains a single restoration. I plan to post previews to upcoming updates in my WIP thread so that anyone who is interested will know what is coming soon:
-
Should I even bother putting my two cents in on the K1CP drama?

@Mellowtron11As usual, the trigger was some guy asked "when is the mod coming out".

Me when I see people still using the 'Bao Dur's Fate: A TSLRCM Add-on' the 2018 April 1st Mod, to this very day and acting surprised as to why it is the way it is.

@VarsityPuppetYep, I think it just got unapproved and got reapproved when the site updated back in June 2018.
@jc2 I'll offer you the medical assistance I required, you need it more than I if you thought Bao Dur's fate was any good 😉

After a week straight of no Wifi, I have got it back. It feels so good to be writing this out on a keyboard and not my Phone.
Btw, for those waiting, K1 Gameplay Improvement 1.21.0 has been released with some highly requested features.
