  1. My current TSL Override is 3.5GB. Go hard or go home, huh?

      Big texture mods present?

My whole TSL folder is ~ 100 GB... never checked the size of an individual Override, though. I have multiple mod combinations present, swapping folders as needed.

Yeah, textures overhauls are quite heavy ;/

  2. Just get another mod that lets you wear a robe/armor that changes your appearance to Revan and that'll work. Or get Kotor Tool and take any random UTI you find and edit that.
  3. Anyone ever mod Halo CE on PC before? How hard is it compared to Kotor and TSL to mod?

Rather simple, actually. Step 1 is to always grab Halo Custom Edition for it, which was made by Gearbox, the people who ported Halo CE to PC. Custom Maps you literally just download the file, then drag it to the "maps" folder, and it should be able to play. Currently, I've been hyped about a Single Player mod called "CMT SPV3", which is still in development.

You misunderstand me, I know how to install mods but I don't know how to edit mod files.

Ah... damn, sorry about that. I have no experience in that front unfortunately. I would assume there's at least some tutorials on the Halo Maps forum.

  4. Make sure your Kotor2.ini isn't set to read only, then go to the security tab and press edit to grant access to edit this file to all users on this PC. This will prevent you from having to click and drag the Kotor2.ini file to the desktop. Then set your Kotor2 shortcut to be compatible with Windows XP (Service Pack 2). Add the appropriate line to enable cheats, then save. Make sure to run in Administrator mode as well. Remember, the console is invisible. If you press the tilde (button next to 1 on standard keyboards) and you can't move after pressing it once, the console is enabled and cheats work. Let me know how it goes.
  5. MDLops is a very useful tool, although it's not really friendly to newcomers. I'm using it to fix some texture issues with ToastyFresh's Weapon mod for TSL.

Cool! It always bothered me that he never finished it up until now...

With some of Inyri's weapon models and a couple of other weapon models available here on DeadlyStream, I'm trying to replace every single ranged weapon in TSL with higher quality ones, the majority of which being ToastyFresh's models. Maybe I'll eventually get to updating some melee weapons at one point, but my priority is on ranged weapons. :)

  6. If there are no 2da files in this mod, then why did the person I responded to said he was having 2da conflicts in the first place? I never downloaded this mod until today just to see what kind of files were inside of it, so I didn't know of this until now. Where in the installation is it crashing for you?
  7. Alright, apparently my memory was a bit off. There's actually a lot more of the default dirt texture not replaced then I remembered. This is just one of many examples of how odd the merging from one texture to another is, especially since on texture is much more high res than the other one. I then took your DXN_grs6 texture and used it to replace DXN_dirt1 and DXN_dirt2, which are the two dirt textures that were not originally replaced and covered up a large section of the Dxun ground.
  8. Absolutely incredible! There was definitely a lot of work put into this. 5/5
  9. Do we have an update on ToastyFresh's TSL version on his weapon overhaul besides his old incomplete release?

      I don't think so, no :(

  10. I'm sorry, but as of that post I only had the first Kotor installed. I uninstalled TSL due to a lack of use and some mod screw ups on my part. I'll reinstall the game with Vurt's textures and try to find the texture name again with a screenshot of it as quickly as I can.
  11. It's good to see you back, Vurt. You made my favorite TSL textures. I'm seconding VarsityPuppet by saying that we definitely need a good Nar Shaddaa reskin. The planet is probably the most interesting place in TSL both in terms of it's architecture and story. It's unfortunate we really don't have any good texture mods for it. The one Xarwarz made recently was good, but I'm not going to pay for a mod, let alone a mod for a game that's a decade old. Just a little extra note, I always had a slight bug with your Dxun texture mods. On the module right before the Mandalorian base camp, in one of the caves, there is a noticeably large dirt texture not replaced by your improved textures. I eventually found out the name of this texture and replaced it myself with one of your high-res grass textures. You probably have no idea what I'm talking about, but if you ever decide to recheck Dxun and happen to come across said spot, you may want to re-release your texture mod with an update for that. It's very minor, yes, but It's always the little bugs that stick out the most in some people's eyes. :]
  12. Honestly you guys, what was in this coffee? Was it prepared by an amateur? My god, this guy's grammar is atrocious, although that does make it a bit more humorous. He looks like an idiot trying to sound smart.
  13. Ha! Don't even get me started about the destroyed Rakatan artifact. You've said it turned into a dead Katarn instead of the pile of rubble? It usually turned into a giant fountain for me. XD
  14. At last, thank you! I downloaded a mod like this back on kotorfiles but I always had to give my character lightsaber proficiency for it to work.
  15. aaaaand I have no idea what any of this means. Is this the Mandalorian language? Batshit crazy, traitorous, bloodthirsty honest people vs pacifistic, calm, generous, loving liars. huh. The Jedi Council at the time was really bad, which really didn't help their image during the Mandalorian Wars. Atris being the worst. Atris was a terrible Jedi from the start. Honestly, after watching the trial recordings for my first playthrough, I legit wanted to smash her face against a wall. Oh well, I guess Force Crushing her during her battle was good enough.
  16. Usually with a single saber staff and dual pistols. I know that a double saber staff is likely the most devastating and, by the end of the game, I'll be simultaneously holding a single saber for one weapon configuration and a saber staff for the second configuration. I'm pretty much done with long ranged weapons for my PC by the time I've made it through 3/5 of TSL. For Kotor, I pretty much always use single saber. I love to use Wotor weapons on the side sometimes.
  17. LMAO I just came across this old TSL video. It's something else. I haven't seen this in nearly 5 years. The laughs. XD

  18. I've been playing a lot of Dark Forces lately. The DarkXL engine mod adds a few undesirable quirks, but I'm really enjoying the game now.

  19. I'm a bit late, but I accidentally stumbled across the mod I was talking about. http://www.gamefront.com/files/13274390/JK2_Jedi_Customization_Pack
  20. I've done a bunch of small modding on my own, including texture edits, UT(type) files, model converting(rarely, but it has happened and has worked) and some other bits and pieces here and there to get mods compatible. Having a Kotor game run smoothly 100% the way you want it with around 2.5GBs requires a couple uses of Kotor Tool and Gimp, as well as the occasional 2DA merger tool. Anyway, I won't really be playing Kotor much these days, but when I've got free time and am in the mood for another playthrough, I'll definitely download this. Looks fantastic.
  21. Not even necessarily playing as one, but also being able to see one as an NPC or boss character would be fantastic. Imagine the possibilities for future modders if they could incorporate these models into their mods.
  22. I know for a fact that there was a really old mod back on jk2files that allowed you to customize your character using multiple PK3 files. It had somewhere around 4000 downloads the last time I checked, which was likely over 2+ years ago. Sadly, now that jk2files is gone, I doubt you'd be able to find it.
  23. I agree with the posts above me, the first animation is the best. Not to say the other ones aren't high quality either.
