Hey Kotorians (yes I want to make that a thing) – I am excited to be announcing a big update to the Kotor community. The short version is Deadlystream and /r/Kotor are moving forward with a merger of our communities. So what is happening? Immediately we will begin co-moderating Deadlystream and /r/Kotor. I am being added as mod to /r/Kotor and Snigaroo is joining Deadlystream as an admin, while Goat is joining as a moderator. We will be expanding staff cooperation in the coming months. Moderation of the /r/Kotor Discord will be shared and modding channels have already been added to the discord. This will become the official discord for Deadlystream going forward. Additionally, wee will also be cross-posting content across communities to encourage /r/Kotor subscriber engagement on Deadlystream and working on increasing modder participation on /r/Kotor. We hope these actions lead towards growth for both communities. What about rules? Each community will still have a unique set of rules, processes and procedures to follow. Deadlystream’s forum based community and the reddit community are very different beasts, each with a different need we fill for the community, our rules will never be 100% aligned but we will align where it makes sense. We will have more information announced over the coming weeks while Sniggles and I work on our integration ideas and planning. Speaking of rule updates, we do have two changes that will be implemented beginning today and they are as follows; · Our rule around porting of content being banned This rule is being replaced by the following rule: · Mods and Assets that are of the same game series (ie KoTOR 1, KoTOR2 and SWTOR) can be ported between games and uploaded to Deadlystream. Porting from other copyright game assets is not allowed, although any fan created content (even from other games) can be hosted at Deadlystream as long as there is no copyright on said mods, files and/or assets. You will still need to abide by all other mod hosting rules. -All mods submitted going forward will require all modder's to fill out 1 additional field, this field is called "Contains Port Content", it is filled out by selecting either yes or no from the drop down menu. -Any modder that has ported content will also be required to fill out a second field called, "Source of Ported Content", this will be a free text field that the modder can describe where his ported content is from. · Rule 19: "All content on Deadlystream must be uploaded by the original creator/owners of the content. Uploading content that is owned by someone else is strictly prohibited, unless explicit permission can be demonstrated by the uploader. If you are found to upload content that is owned by another person without explicit evidence of permission, the first offense will result in a warning via PM and removal of said content. Any additional infractions will result in a permanent ban. Deadlystream Staff will from time to time reach out to authors of content not currently hosted on Deadlystream to see if there is an interest in having their content uploaded to Deadlystream. This activity should only be performed by Deadlystream staff members." This rule is being changed/updated to: · "All content you upload must have been created by you or given permission for use in your mod by the original author. In the event that there is a mod (which you did not create) that needs to be uploaded for preservation to Deadlystream, the following will occur; - The community member will message a moderator via PM with the mod attached and any other information about the mod and about where you downloaded it from. - The admin will follow the “Guidelines for Re-uploading Abandonware Mods” (look for this in the coming days). - If admin sees that the mods meets the guidelines, admin shall upload said mod. - The uploaded mod will have a disclaimer stating “it is not actively supported and that responses to support requests should not be expected.” Please note: Removal of a mod upon request from verified mod authors will be honored, please reach out to an admin for assistance.” Snigaroo, myself and the rest of the staff are very excited about what the future holds for Kotor and our communities. This is only the beginning, there is much more to come. May the force be with all of us! -Tyvokka

Yes, it will have a Star Map. Small section of the street in-game. Spent a lot of time getting the lighting just right. It feels really, really good in-game so far. It truly feels like it belongs now. The sense of scale seems spot on. I will work on getting more in-game tomorrow.

Some behind-the-scenes sort of work going on right now. Somehow I've managed (with lots of help from Darth Parametric) to get Sleheyron all set up on the galaxy map again, complete with filler takeoff/landing videos, filler Star Map vision sequences, and a conversation with Bastila about the Sleheyron Star Map. With Fair Strides MIA for the moment, I am having to take on the scripting, which is something I've never been well versed with. With quite a bit of help from the friendly folks on Discord, I've been able to at least start editing some scripts with positive results. I have always been very intimidated by scripting, so this is a big step for me. Thanks to all who have contributed their knowledge so far, it's been extremely helpful and informative.

That's some healthy scope creep. As before, you can check out the readme on the Github repo for a full breakdown of the changes and attribution to their various authors. There's also the issue list, which has further detail on specific problems that have been addressed (and remaining outstanding ones). Oh, and it would be remiss of me not to give special thanks to @ebmar and @Salk for providing a number of bug reports and suggestions/contributions. Thanks also to various other forum and Discord members for providing reports as well over the last 6 months.

I always get lost running Anchorhead, so I decided to try adding some signs to the buildings you can enter to make them easier to spot. I'm not much chop with sign designs though, so I am looking for someone to give me a hand with some better ones. Here's what I have so far: And here is a better look at the individual designs: The cantina sign is taken from the vanilla texture LTS_signs, and the sign frame is vanilla as well. The others use a sign frame from TOR, with the textures being various mishmashes of TOR textures. Although the Czerka one is just something I slapped together myself, and the swoop was taken from one of the vanilla loading screens. I've attached some templates if anyone wants to have a crack. This is correct. The compatibility patch lies within the EE mod itself. There isn't a standalone patch floating around anywhere. Sorry if I phrased that all weird. I certainly think it does. @danil-ch do you think this could be something that is doable? The patch worked fine with M4-78 1.2 but that's the latest version I got to work. And I looked for you. It still lists TSLRCM version 1.8.3.

I need to provide some back-of-the-box quotes as well. "Yeah, it was OK I guess" "I haven't uninstalled it yet, so there's that" "If you are a fan of mods, this is a mod" "The most fun I've ever had extracting a ZIP archive"

Thanks. <bashful> I just quit the Staff. I ain't leaving the site, folks. Easier to have less responsibilities so I can concentrate on assisting other mods - mainly by recruiting. It is more rewarding (for me) and I think I might appear less like a blowhard that way. You're not rid of me yet...

Hey everyone! I have exciting news! A Crashed Republic Cruiser On A Nameless World is now open for beta testing! If you're interested, please send me a PM! In addition, I'm also looking for 1-2 voice actors (psst @Zhaboka ) as well as someone who's strong in dialogue writing/editing to peruse my dialogues and help clean them up and make them sound better.

I am not afraid to admit when I was wrong or being an idiot. I was wrong. I was an idiot... ... I thought they could do no worse than TLJ. So foolish of me. They sure showed me up with this teaser. This is going to be something else. Good thing all care got sucked out of me already. Do tell me how story #1, recton #1, retcon #2 is in any instance "coherent"? Me? I'll be waiting for the MauLer cut. Let's atleast be a little entertained watching our favorite franchise burn down in flames.

It's been awhile, I know. Here's an idea I threw together for a new scoring system: Colors aren't set, that's just for an example. Middle semi-circle illuminates to whomever's turn it is; bars underneath illuminate per round won.

Well glad you like it! Things like wind & vegetation effects would be certainly cool but probably not possible... However, filling the skyboxes with numerous objects would simluate variety to some degree. Dantooine btw. is done with Naboo in mind: Mod: For the Crystal cave im still thinking about emulating the shimmering effect on the rocks here: Still WIP:

Getting back in the swing of things after being gone a week on vacation. The street module is all walkmeshed, blocks cameras, has aurora lights, and a minimap. All that's left is the path file, which are still proving a bit finnicky. Most of those are dynamic things that are difficult to see in a screenshot, so I'll try to do a video in the next few weeks to showcase some of the improvements. Also I will try to add in NPCs and such before then. Next I will be switching gears, working on the Arena Hall/entrance area and attempting to setup some gladiator fights.

I don't think I can even bring myself to watch the trailer... I was so disappointed by the previous movie, and have such a distate for Rey, the character, that it is a complete turn off to see her with a lightsaber. Not to hijack this thread to talk about previous movies, but just to explain my lack of interest in the trailer and the movie.

Hey all, I know I haven't been exactly active in the modding community in years, but I was recently approached about my previous work on my HK-47 Melee/Saber Mod. It came to my attention that since the disappearance of LucasForums, my tutorial on how I did it is no longer accessible. However, I managed to dig up an old copy. Given how long it's been this information may be old news, but I figured I would repost it here in case it is of use to anybody else. This is the original instructions I made to create the HK-47 mod, it was a rather crude and experimental procedure for me at the time, so it can definitely be refined and improved. Feel free to reply with any updates or experiences. Without further ado, here is the original tutorial:

I am sort of back around as a friend has put me up, though access to my PC will be irregular until I have some money to put towards the electricity where I am staying, I also have a lot of other things to focus on like trying to find work and a place to live of my own, but luckily I am in a better position now than I was a few weeks ago. Having now set up multiple GitHub projects and a NexusMods account as well as pages for both mods I have essentially resumed work on the project for both games, but I will be focusing on the K2 Expanded Galaxy starting with the Yavin Orbital Station Swoop Demo that will consist of 4-5 Modules. [ . yav_m50aa, . tat_m17mg, . man_m26mg, . tar_m03mg, . 510ond++ . ] I am not sure those module designations are correct, but Taris, Manaan and Tatooines Swoop Track as well as the Yavin Orbital Station, hopefully to include the Upgradeable Swoop Bike Mod by bead-v and potentially an updated version of the Onderon Swoop Track that will allow access to the Onderon Swoop Track using the Modified Bike via the Yavin Orbital Station Merchant / Swoop Bike Mechanic. I think the option to not use the modified swoop bike should remain also, via dialogue it could be enabled or disabled, IE : "I would like to use the Modified Swoop Bike now" or "I am going to practice with the Regular Swoop Bike for a bit" this would also allow for an original playthrough even if the player decides to purchase or try the modified swoop bike as well as visit Yavin. The Expanded Galaxy Project is aimed at becoming a community project, an overall renovation of both original KotOR games for all platforms as well as compatibility for as many mods as possible, I also hope to include items, maps, stories and content from mods galaxy-wide given I can attain the relevant authors permissions, this should allow for both games to become heavily fleshed out. There is also plans to totally port K1 to K2, which would require an installer that would verify both games installations, this would be somewhat necessary to make the K1 Expanded Galaxy Project ( or K2 modules in K1 ) more relevant and worthwhile, giving the first game access to the second games engine, which would allow for more placeables, better cut-scenes and overall game-play. Along-side my project I am still writing a tutorial series that will cover everything I learn about KotOR 1/2 Modding ( primarily K2 ) that will be somewhat aimed at helping people make a Total Conversion for Obsidian's version of the Odyssey Engine, set in the Old Republic / Star Wars Universe or otherwise. I hope this inspires people to make more KotOR games ( following other characters in the old republic universe, perhaps even their own characters from, before or after SWTOR ) there is also the potential for non-sw related total conversions, point & click type story adventures and much more using the Odyssey Engine's Unique Features and innovate game-play mechanics.

Today I have two finished skyboxes for you. Though, to be honest, both were very close to completion already. Let's start with Korriban. Not much has changed since I last showed that skybox. I just did my ususal model changes and then also some changes to the ingame lightmap so that the statues are more in the shadow and blend better with the skybox. On top of that, I removed the fog. But the most important change is probably the new ground color that looks absolutely ridiculous with normal lighting and atmosphere but matches the ingame terrain when lit properly: With that out of the way, here's a render and two screenshots. The first one shows the new terrain color blending with the area model and the second one shows the new lightmaps and the disabled fog. The second skybox that is now finished is Coruscant. The only thing that was missing here is the fixed model. I also finished the model edits for Telos so that skybox is also fully done now. But you've seen those screenshots before, so I won't show them again.

Despite the sparse updates recently, the texture production is going pretty well actually. For the upcoming K1 Overhaul I will open a thread soon, but I can assure you guys it's a massive, epic mod that blows any of my previous mods out of the water. Literally. For instance all textures (already > 7 GB) have been remade over the years from scratch, and it doesnt use repetitve tex either - e.g. some computer panels using the same vanilla texture like the Sithbase ones are now divided into at least 6 totally different animated panels with original designs from the movies. original vanilla panel: Ep VII: Mod: Panel EP VII: Mod: Or this lock mechanism inspired by BF2 is only used for a tiny texture to make the SB door panels feel more realistic: To get an appropriate feel to Taris Lower City i also made some cyberpunkish Light tech and such: But there's much more to come!

I think I'll start rendering the vanilla skyboxes once they're all done and while that's in progress I will work on the third party skyboxes (which are not that many so it shouldn't take too long I hope). Then I'll see how far I got with those once the vanilla renders are all done. Actually it's been only about 2.5 years since I started with V2. Terragens v4 came out a few months earlier and while it has seen some improvements since that major release, there are no big new features or anything like that. At least none that I know of. Also, while I'm here: I'm not dead and work on those Nar Shaddaa buildings is continuing very slowly. My focus in the last months simply was on other personal projects and my masters thesis. That might/should change in a few weeks however.

Hello everyone! Recently, we at /r/kotor hosted a general survey about the games and posting habits on the subreddit. Most of these results aren't very interesting for Deadlystream and modding in general, but we also asked some specific questions about modding and modding habits which we restricted to only users on the subreddit which had previously installed a mod for either KOTOR or KOTOR 2. I think these results are both very interesting and quite relevant to Deadlystream, and so I thought to bring it to everyone's attention. The survey thread, which includes links to all the various sections of collated survey responses, can be found here. But, for those who just want to see what's relevant, we're most interested in the two modding sections--here and here. Now, there are some really interesting results in these two categories, including how frequently users on the subreddit mod each of the individual games, how many users have used the mod builds and the ways in which they choose to do so, and some feedback and usage statistics on K1R, TSLRCM, and M4-78; for anyone here with any fingers in those pies, it's worth taking a look at the results. There are two charts I really want to bring to everyone's attention, however, and I'll repost the first of these here: As you can see, these are the usage values for typical modding sites, with the one on the left representing usage for all users, and the one on the right excluding those who have only ever installed TSLRCM before (which we suspected granted the Steam Workshop disproportionate weight, and was largely borne out). These charts show clearly that Deadlystream sits in third place for all major modding sites, even the Steam Workshop, and even after excluding TSLRCM-only users. This means that the Workshop, which only hosts content for KOTOR 2 (and a very small selection at that), and which is only available to users who own the games via Steam, is beating out Deadlystream for usage on the subreddit. This is despite official subreddit resources like the mod builds utilizing Deadlystream; this is despite official and regular subreddit warnings about the Workshop's reliability; and this is despite our policy to link to mods on Deadlystream and recommend Deadlystream's usage whenever a user comes to us with a modding question. Now, if it was just a battle between the Workshop and Deadlystream that would be more understandable, as convenience can always win out against common-sense, and other responses to the survey showed that KOTOR 2 is by far the more modded game out of the two. But we have here the Nexus as well, which is also beating out DS on usage. It's very clear from these results that, despite the subreddit's partnership with Deadlystream and all our best efforts to encourage its use, DS is losing the race on convenience (the Workshop) and popular usage/word-of-mouth (Nexus). And this is on a site which is partnered with DS and where we do our best to support it; the prognosis for use outside reddit is likely more grim still. I bring this to everyone's attention not to be a doomsayer, but instead to illuminate the issue and open up a dialogue about how we can fix it. As everyone here knows, Deadlystream is now where the most (and the most-updated) mods are hosted; users who utilize the Workshop and Nexus not only deprive themselves of many mods, but also deprive themselves of stability due to the Workshop's poor architecture and the outdated nature of many of the mods on the Nexus. This, then, is not merely a perception problem affecting the userbase here--wherein users quite likely believe the KOTOR mod community anemic or even dead based off of perceptions surrounding the infrequent uploading and support of mods to the Workshop and Nexus--but also a usage problem, in that the end-user is being deprived of a stable game with maximum available content. I've already looped @Tyvokka into this discussion and we had a chat earlier today about wiki integration and how the subreddit (which is tied to reddit's very limited wiki functions at present) might migrate our entire wiki here in the future, which might well serve to encourage more cross-site traffic and familiarity. We also again discussed cross-site administration, events and support, and hopefully on the administrative level we can do some cooperative work to combat this trend. As has been mentioned before, at the very least when wiki support is added here and the mod builds are next updated I'll post them here, and begin dual-site support between reddit and DS. I don't want to understate the work that can be done on the level of the individual user here either, however. For example, let's take a look at the second chart, I spoke of earlier, an entirely more hopeful one: As you can see, about 50% of polled users would be potentially interested in making a KOTOR mod! The subreddit currently has a little over 37,000 subscribers, of which I'd estimate about 15,000 are still for accounts which are active on the site. I know this is a bit of guesswork, but let's just say that 75% of the "Maybe" category will eventually decide they don't want to make a mod or modding tools, and 85% of the remainder doesn't have the skills to do so and will never learn them. If you add them all up, that's still 450 users who would want to make a mod and would have the skills to do so. And I fully admit these are hypothetical approximations of skill, availability and dedication, but it's not a number to scoff at. Regardless of outcome, it's clear that there is potential here; a userbase which contains individuals who are at least willing to try their hand at modding for KOTOR, but have not as yet. I see the subreddit as a pool of potential resources for users on deadlystream, potentially containing not just users willing to do the gruntwork of testing mods, but also artists, users with modeling experience, and maybe even programmers with sufficient skill to make tools still desperately-needed by the modding community. Not everyone will agree with the need (or desirability) to look to the subreddit and its userbase for work which, in some modders' minds, is perhaps not even necessary; that's okay. I understand that considerations for mod development differ, both based on the mod and the user. But I point out this base of interest because, for those who do see potential in it, I want you to know it's there, and as subreddit staff, we're entirely on board with any efforts to harness it. We firmly believe that greater cooperation and collaboration between Deadlystream and the subreddit--which is certainly the largest KOTOR fan community on the internet now--will help drive the word-of-mouth which will help present Deadlystream as the principal KOTOR modding site, and in so doing reverse any false presumptions in the KOTOR fanbase at large that KOTOR modding is dead. Beyond that, with the recent announcement that a KOTOR movie is likely in the works, there's little better time to present a strong and vital face for the classic games than now, when interest in the series is revitalizing. Of course, the subreddit does not necessarily need to factor into this at all, beyond serving as the vehicle for bringing this issue to everyone's attention. I invite anyone reading here to share their thoughts, possible solutions, and even further concerns; we all use Deadlystream, and how frequently it's used for its intended purpose impacts all of us in one way or another. Anything that could help, even if it's impractical to implement at present (or at an administrative level), is worth mentioning. Thanks everyone for your time!

I said I'd work on another skybox next (and I actually did for a very short time) but I just couldn't leave Malachor yet. So I've made some tweaks and I'm very close to calling it final but first I need some opinions. The thing I can't decide on is the sky color. I have two options. One is closer to the vanilla sky color and one is more green. Just let me know which one you prefer and maybe also why you prefer it. For comparison, you can find a screenshot of the vanilla sky here. Once that's decided on, I need to tweak the terrain color some more, apply the animation to all Malachor modules and the skybox will be done. The next one after that (which I worked on briefly before I returned to Malachor) will be the Unknown World. It won't have many changes compared to V1 though.

This will be my first published mod, the aim of witch is to upscale all game UI elements. - all menus, the gameplay GUI, loading screens and icons. Personally, i always thought, that the terrible low resolution UI just doesn't work anymore and dates the game horribly. Ndix UR’s brilliant ui mod was a fantastic inspiration, but also all the HD work on this site. KOTOR was my favorite gaming experience, once upon a time. And it make me very happy to try and contribute to its continual enjoyment. Any feedback, thoughts, ideas, and perhaps slight assistance would be greatly welcomed. For one thing, can anyone point me to software, that allows for seamless viewing of KOTOR models and textures in a 3D frame with free camera?

Now that Dark Jedi Wear Robes is released, it's time to beef up their adversaries with a companion mod. The ranks of the Jedi are a little thin on variety. In my latest playthrough, their Star Forge boarding party apparently comprised 90% Mullet Men. So I plan to spice that up a bit with some new alien Jedi appearances. The first batch are done - Rodian, Kel Dor, and Nautolan males: Like the Dark Jedi mod, this will make use of the ported TSL Knight robe models from @JCarter426's Cloaked Jedi Robes mod. I'm not sure what the full roster will look like just yet, but I've previously messed around with both Rodian and Nautolan female heads, so those are on the list. Beyond that I am undecided.

Show me a legitimate, proffesional, non-terrible developer, with any kind of experience, willing to work on a project this complex for free. I'm very interested in hiring that person. edit; by developer I mean a programmer who can do any kind of gameplay stuff. DP did a good job of explaining what they should have done first, but that'd require apeiron team to know anything about game development. also making levels without a gameplay isn't just useless, it's a complete waste of time. You just can't design a level without knowing how the game behaves, how good your path finding is, how your AI behaves and so on.

Playing around with some of the Jedi Knight visors. I think they will be good replacements for some of the vanilla masks: I haven't adjusted the textures yet, so they are still their default (mostly) brown. I also need to add some glow meshes for the first one, like you can see in the second and third ones. I think I'll also use an envmap for the lenses, give them a bit of reflection. Perhaps the first two could also have their lenses changed from black to something more bluish like the other two.

One or two weeks ago, I decided to quickly finish Onderon, thinking that there were only some tweaks to the TG scene and the fixed skybox models left to do. Turns out that I had forgotten about the turret scene and the swoopracing. For the turret minigame I had to add the palace model and alter the visible terrain as the vanilla one didn't fit my skybox design at all. So that's done now except for some lightmap tweaks to make the palace blend better with the vanilla geometry. The swooprace is another thing entirely. I didn't even know there was swoopracing on Onderon and my Onderon landscape doesn't really work well with the swooptrack as that one seems to start outside of the city and then gradually enter it, so neither my normal Onderon skybox nor my skyramp skybox work well for that module. I tried creating a third one from a different point of view but that didn't look great either. I'm not quite out of ideas yet but we'll see how it goes. Anyway, I wanted to share what I have. So here are two renders and two screenshots:

But if you ported just about everything else from K1 to K2, then those would be available.... All these things are possible and apart from the animation and sounds not even technically "porting". There have been a few mods that copied K2 Force powers before, though I don't recall any that did the specific ones you mentioned. There are some compatibility concerns with Force power mods, particularly older ones, primarily because all the Force powers in the game are executed through the same script and partly because TSLPatcher's functionality with dialog.tlk used to be more limited. The robes aren't quite so easy because they require new or edited supermodels for the cape and skirts to animate. I'm working on it, though.

///// 01. Two-Point-Oh ///// First off, thanks to everyone who’s downloaded and offered support through this process. I appreciate all of your comments, critiques and suggestions. Through the creative process, the gears started turning for future plans. Here’s loosely what I’m planning thus far: ///// 02. Planned Improvements ///// Remap the UVs. A lot of the patterns repeat, e.g. details on arms are also on feet, or also on base, etc. I know I wanted to remedy those first and foremost. I wanted the arms to have their own textures, the feet their own, etc. etc. etc. Progressive: Create a UV for each arm and leg, which would increase the work significantly because then we go from 2 pieces to 6. Overkill? Planet rotations. When the map opens and you see the location of each planet, they slowly (and very choppily(?) rotate. I’d really like to smooth that out a bit, as it’s just a hacked together animation. I think it has 9 frames right now? At a minimum, I’d go up to… 18 frames? Progressive: Each planet has its own custom shape and visual identifier. Right now, it’s random Aurebesh numbers (which technically didn’t exist as it does now, same with planet names), but we’ll see. Does it even need those I guess? Maybe it’s actually the type of planet referenced by the terminal, i.e. barren, arboreal, etc. More “Builder-esque”. Until ebmar pointed this out (and it should have seemed so obvious), this is a Rakata structure. I got the Aurebesh (see comment above) in there, but what else can I do to make this more “Builder”? I started looking around at a lot of source photos and ran around the Unknown World location a bit. I think I can change the rock? metal? country? to be a bit more… just “of that world”. Perhaps I made it too sleek in 1.0. While I have the texture itself pretty roughed it, it’d also make sense that some parts got chipped/rotted off here and there. Progressive: ebmar and I have been chatting about having a new sound for the opening of the maps. Dodecahedron. I really hate that thing. I want to make it a sphere or I dunno, just something different. I was so difficult to figure out how to reskin it before. There would be so much more I could do with a different shape. At the very least it’s been given a new UV map. Progressive: Play around with some transparency ideas. ///// 03. Planet Customizations ///// Let’s just go ahead and mark this whole section as “Progressive”. The idea would be to create a star map for every location, customized to that planet. The thing with that is there would need to be at least 4 more placeables created or they’d have to be built into the room itself. Hard to say what the route would be at this point, I mean, there are a limited number of placeables in the game. Anyway, the custom ideas: Dantooine This would just be the base model. Similar to what it is now, though with a violet glow. Tatooine Yellow glow. Sand-blown, sand in crevices and piled around base. Maybe throw some krayt scales in there? Like the dude was using it as a scratching post. Kashyyyk Green glow. This thing has been in a jungle for what, 10k years? Let’s thrown some moss, vines, etc. on there. It’d only make sense that the jungle would start taking it back. Moisture stains. Rust? I’m iffy on that one. Manaan Blue glow. Heavy algae growth. Coral, barnacles growing on it? Korriban Red glow. (durrr) I’m a little stuck on this one because it’s unexposed to the elements basically. I was thinking along the lines of blood splatters and saber burns. Thinking maybe someone fought in that room at some point. ///// 04. Recent Dev ///// The model has a completely new UV map. Every part has its own map to avoid pattern repetition. While I don’t know if I’ll recreate all 3 arms and all 3 legs still remains to be seen. Lots of reading about creating placeables and modding rooms. ///// 05. Future Dev ///// I really don’t care for the end animation of when you open the final star map. It seems so lackluster and very anticlimactic to me. I envision once the final map opens and the coordinates triangulate, you now have a large hud of the starforge. As of now there are just blue streaks and dinky animations (no offense Bioware). All of this really gets into some hardcore modeling and animation and that’s way, way, WAY over my head. I’m using Blender too, and well, it doesn’t like KotOR animations that much. ///// 06. Final ///// So that’s what’s going on at this point. Thanks again to everyone who’s download the mod, given their opinions and suggestions and more. This has been a fun project and I’m hoping it will continue to be so! If there’s anything you’d like to add to the above list or have anything else you’d like to share, by all means. Feel free to follow this post for updated now and then. Cheers, -CO

Hey everyone! Back in late summer I made this thread as I needed help porting Toshi's Luke Jedi Robes model from Jedi Academy. Well, I kind of dropped the project for a while because of school but I really want to get this done soon, preferably before Christmas. The mod is actually near completion, but I wanted to make this seriously and so I took it a step further. Here's the progress so far : The original model has been scaled and reshaped where needed be, I used the hands from the PMBAM model as that method would make it easier for the skinning process. Speaking of which, skinning is done, or at least to at satisfactory level: there seems to be a fine line between looking good and OHMYGODWHYWOULDITBENDLIKETHAT. So there's still a bit of stretching going on in certain animations, but overall I think I wouldn't be able to make it much better. I also created an alternative robe item using textures from another mod (but I do think it needs some tweaks) Naturally, I used the only unoccupied spot for the item (PMBJM) and created two quick items with descriptions. Those are, however, kind of uninspired so if you have any ideas, feel free to throw them in. Here's the cool part. I wanted this mod to feel complete and that couldn't be possible if there was no female version for this. So I went ahead and completely remodeled the robes to fit the base female body model from TSL in Blender. It was finicky, tedious and frustrating, because I suck. But I came through, as you can see: I haven't finished the skinning process for the female model yet. So that's it for now. I still don't quite know how to put these items into the world though, so I might need a bit of help on that matter further down the line. This is my very first attempt at modding and there has been a steeeep learning curve to get here. I should add that I have complete permissions from the original authors of those files, I can provide screenshots if requested. Oh and as the title suggests, I have a few other ideas for models once this will be done, but I prefer to focus on the task at hand for now.

I know, right? Here's my reaction 😂😂😂 I couldn't stop laughing reading that. Here's my favorite part: "The Emperor blasts Revan with so much Force lightning that his stupid mask superheats and starts melting onto his face." That hurt, I bet! 😂😂😂 Bastila watching soap operas, yeah, omg. So how old is Atris in K2? 12? Isn't that kind of young for our male Exile? Oh, something that reviewer probably wasn't aware of, probably because she didn't read Tales of the Jedi: The Golden Age of the Sith. Scourge is also not original. He's just another Ludo Kressh, who had opposed Naga Sadow, not wanting Sadow to provoke war which would destroy their people. The Ludo Kressh whose tomb in which Kreia tests you on Korriban. To be fair, about the Red Guard, Palpatine's Imperial Red Guard was based on an ancient Sith Order, so that wasn't out of place.

Just to clarify, you can’t use two load screens for the same module. These are both options for the same module. It wouldn’t make sense to use one in another area that isn’t the street. Thank you everyone for your thoughts. If anyone else wants to chime in, I am still undecided.

Ah, that is a skin weight issue then presumably. Probably either not enough or too many neck weights on a few verts. I'll have a look at it and see if I can spot it. Edit: Here's the problem. Two verts on either side have neck weights they shouldn't. I've updated the archive above. Redownload it and see if it is an improvement.

This is more of an idea than a request. It might be cool to have a mod that adds the Yavin Station to KotOR 2, now that porting is allowed. Fantastic! Many thanks for the efficient-yet-rather-effective tutorial DarthParametric! I'm in progress on practicing this information now. I will attach the said tutorial in the first post to have the potential reader an easier access to its knowledge. Again, thanks! And very much appreciated. ____________________________________________ Anyways, I just found something that is quite "important" while ago; I surfed through the game files with the KotOR Tool and found a cubemap which labeled "CM_eh", and then leads me to assuming that it was linked to the Ebon Hawk's specularity. And yes it is; I opened the file using PS and there are E-Hawk's reflections init. So, I fiddled around with the vanilla EH's textures and have them all implemented with the said cubemap- assigning vanilla bump-map to the linked textures and later having this results: This is the entrance/exit passage of the Ebon Hawk. I haven't checked the bump-map inside this room model so as we can see there are no bump-map applied there; but more-or-less, this how the room looks with the "CM_eh" applied to the textures: This is the Hawk's dorm, and bump-map feature has been checked for this room. This one of the Hawk's alley'; no bump-map applied but "CM_eh" has been utilised on them textures. This is the intersection near the engine-room. The bump-map and "CM_eh" has been applied in this room model. This is the Swoop's room; I ended-up changing the alpha on the bike with the standard reflection because the vanilla alpha is not really effective, I mean; I am certain that BioWare wanted to give the impression that the Swoop was having an incident before, looks from the reflection it gave. It produces an inside-bump-and-dents-like reflection but I don't know, maybe the execution could be nicer, I think. This is the cabin whom Juhani used to chill. No bump-map applied yet in that room. This is the cockpit. Bump-map applied. This is too from the cockpit but from another point-of-view. This is not really vanilla because as we can see there are Sith Holocron's "KOTOR2 More Subtle Animated Ebon Hawk Monitors (still not including Galaxy Map)" and Fallen Guardian's "Ebon Hawk Texture Enhancement" computer panel featured there. Must haves! And this is the Hawk's center room. Bump-map applied. Edit: ndix UR's "Ebon Hawk K1 Fixes" are featured in the screenshots. ____________________________________________ To tell the truth, the primary motivation of this research was because of this screenshot of Ebon Hawk's interior from one of Apeiron's tweet while ago. I know, and it was obvious; different engine means different results. And even if with the same engine but with the wrong application of feature could leads to different results too. I only kind of curious about how optimal is this [IIRC] Odyssey Engine could be? Many thanks for taking your time here. Hope this finding kind of helps.

Just finished reading the Marvel comic Thrawn #6, and noticed a little nod to the Ebon Hawk in there. The ship in the comic is just really in the background, and it isn't a perfect replica (its symmetrical) , but it seems clearly based on the Ebon Hawk design - but I thought it was a nice Easter Egg if it was planned. I wouldn't be surprised if it is deliberate, given the comic is a prequel to the Rebels cartoon, which featured the Hammerhead Corvettes On page #17 when an insurgent fleet drops out of lightspeed, we see the back of what looks like the Ebon Hawk, flying next to what looks like a YT-2000: Then on page 20, we get frontal views of the ship (there are actually two ships of this class on the page): Anyways, I thought I would share as somebody else might also get a kick out of this

I watched the video and I disagree with the points brought up in the movie. I still do not like The Last Jedi. I don't think that makes me a fanatic. Saying things like this doesn't really show that you have an open or humble mind.
